He is the greatest teacher. He helpes, makes sure that you understand and wants to see you get an "A". It is a hard course but if you listen and study his notes you'll do great.

Dr. Covitt is the greatest teacher! He makes the hard subject of anatomy very understandable and intresting. He has a great personality and always makes funny jokes. He cares about his students. I highly recommend him you wont be disappointed!!

Dr. Covitt is not only a teacher for the sake of it; but he has a true and genuine concern for his students and the knowledge that they acquire from his class! Be prepared to work hard, but it will certainly pay off!!!!

Tough but fair. A lot of information in one class but thats not his fault. He wants to see his students pass. Dont skip class or goof off in lab and you will do well. His tests are passable if you know the course but its on you yo study.

dr. gary covitt..i love him sooo much!! he's very approachable and understanding... my bestfriend and i took her over the summer, we were always laughing in his class but it was because we were enjoying anatomy so much. when it comes to his tests, he is super fair... you know what to expect because he doesn't trick you..he cares about his students

Be prepared to not have a life because you need to know a lot of info. Dr.Covitt has a monotone voice, heard that Girard a least makes learning sort of fun.Dont take with a full load of classes.

Took this session during summer. At first thought the long hours were going to be horrible, but they werent! Hours were long but he made class fun and informative. Do have 2 dedicate practically all ur time 2 this class esp. during the summer, but its all worth it! Wish there were professors like him at my school! Very approachable & clear!

The class itself is very hard ... takes lots of time and studying to get a passing grade, but he's fair with his test ... very straight forward pay attention during lecture and study EVERYDAY! and you'll pass

By far the best teacher I've had. Going to his class every morning was so much fun...he's really funny and soo helpful. He really takes time to help his students understand the material and it doesn't hurt that he's funny too. Definately recommended!

If you want to take a challenge, take his class. He's funny & approachable. Subj matter is hard but getting an A is doable. JUST STUDY HARD!!! To Get an A: KNOW EVERYTHING for his exams.. the littlest detail counts.. read the book, take down notes (books & lecture) and memorize his notes!! Study group is really helpful.

I never thought I would enjoy such a hard class. Dr. Covitt makes this subject interesting and almost fun to learn. But, he and the subject demand that you work hard. He is very patient with questions in class and outside of class and will help you if you try.

Dr. Covitt is a GREAT teacher for anatomy! The subject is NOT easy at all. You really have to work hard to get a good grade, but Dr. Covitt is willing to answer all questions, plus his lectures are very clear and to the point. He also makes the class very fun with his jokes.

Dr. Covitt is a great professor he always took the time to answer any of my questions. Hope he teaches Physiology in the fall.

He's really great, funny & organized. Notes are online to be printed. It's hard to get a good grade in the class because there's so much to cover. Def. go to all classes to keep up. There are lab & lecture tests. Lecture ones are multiple choice with a few essays (he goes over them in class). I'd take another class under him.

I can't believe this class is over. Miss it already. Dr. Covitt made this class so doable: notes online, no treacky tests, and fun classes.

I took this class because I had to and left the class with Human Anatomy as my favorite subject. Dr. Covitt really inspired me. That's what great teachers do. Tests and quizes are easy if you listen to his instructions carefully.

Really great instructor. DrCovitt is clear, thorough, and entertaining. Anatomy is just a hard subject. But, Dr. Covitt tells you exactly what you need to learn. He gives each student personal attention and challenges. He obviously loves this subject and the health care field. He really knows this subject and how to teach it.

Fall '08. Grade: A. Dr. Covitt has high expectations of his students but it's only because he wants to make sure they are truly learning. Go to lecture everyday and don't be afraid to ask questions - Dr. Covitt will take the time out to clarify things for you. This is not an easy class but if you study hard, you can get a good grade.

He is not the nicest person, and stingy at giving you points. Sometimes he can be rude. His lectures are very clear and he expects you to know very well. He would be very patient to explain you again and again. This is not the hardest class, but he definitely is the hardest Anatomy professor.

awesome teacher! i took the 5 week class and of course a 5 weeks is hard in general but all you have to do is STUDY STUDY. ask him questions, he is happy to help. he tells little stories that keep the class entertaining. class isnt mand. but i suggest u go. we had 5 tests, 2 quizes 1 e.c. good luck to anyone taking this class its fun but hard work

Great Professor and great class. Very organized, clear, and funny. He obviously loves teaching, students, and this subject. He'll really prepare you for physiology or nursing, or whatever. Passing is easy if you do the work.

WOW. Hardest class ever. Took over my entire life. If possible, take this class with another professor. Although Covitt is humorous and somewhat clear, he is hard as hell. He's also kind of hard to approach if you have issues. Do not take him!!!!

Great teacher! His tests are difficult but reasonable. He has multiple essay questions, but he provides you with the questions before the exam. There is no reason for getting them wrong. He uses his lecture notes far more than the book. This is not a class you can cram for. You need to do consistent studying.

BEST, BEST, BEST Professor. He's very clear and VERY fair. His jokes are really adorable and he may come off as being very serious at first, but he's very kind and helpful. Do not hesitate to approach him for help. I took his class over Summer and only 3 people dropped, that says a lot about him, he's really great!

HE IS THE BEST TEACHER! super clear and super helpful. I studied so much for this class but I also learned a lot! He doesn't test from the txtbook but the pics are important! You really have to go to class tho. His tests are somewhat difficult. Definitely don't hesitate to ask questions, especially during lab.

Dr. Covitt is awesome! His class is hard not only because Anatomy is a lot of info but because he is very thorough! His lectures are very informational and his stories/jokes are funny! Pay attention to diagrams in text and lecture notes. This class is a lot of work.

Dr. Covitt is very experienced & knows his specialty. He is funny & overall a good teacher. I must say that Anatomy is fun & easy, but it is alot of memorization of many chapters all at once which makes this class very difficult. The tests are hard. One of the toughest classes I have ever taken. It requires at least 15 hours a week of studying.

I can't believe i listened to the people on this site again. Yes he is a great teacher and very funny but the class is EXTREMELY CHALLENING. It's like he wants the students to fail or something. Don't take him if you have any other classes or a job. He includes wayy too much physiology into the lectures and his tests are all application problems.

Common, guys, this is college science class. Stop complaining; start studying. He's great teacher, makes the anatomy interesting subject. BUT you really need to study from the very beginnig or you'll fall behind. Tests are doable. Final has 2 parts, both are comulative. Just study like you're suppose to and that's it.

Anatomy is one of the most difficult and tedious classes to take, and while Dr. Covitt does expect a lot of his students, his dedication to the subject and to his students is phenomenal. I always say it's better to have a great teacher that's hard than a crappy teacher that's easy... Do not take this class if you are not willing to work hard!

He is one of the best teacher I've had in GCC. He's funny, organized and very clear with his lectures.The class will be simple as long as you study hard for his tests. The material he covers in class is just 80-85% of the whole test so definitely refer to the book.Its a hard class especially if your not good at memorizing so study in advance .

Dr. Covitt is the funniest teacher I have ever had. His lectures are as clear as they can be. He is extremely helpful and approachable. In order to get a good grade in his exams, you need to know his lecture notes really well, and make sure you scan through the book as well. It's also important that you should never procrastinate in this class.

He is a great professor! Get used to hearing him say "When a Lion walks into the room!" during the nervous system. Anatomy is tough, but he tries to make it fun and interesting. His notes are pretyped. Make sure to record his lectures and listen to them same night and take side notes! Do not procrastinate! Total of 4 MC tests and 4 lab tests!

Dr. Covitt is amazing. I fell absolutely in love with him. I had to drop the class because my best grade would have been a C but my biggest regret wasn't having to retake the class, it was the uneasy feeling of disappointing him. Dr. Covitt is not only intelligent but he is a kind, sweet, caring man. He made the subject extremely interesting.

He is a very fun, caring, kind, and extremely smart man who knows his job very well It is anatomy, so be prepared to know 7 chapters for 1 test. there are tests with 5 ch, those are good days. THE ANATOMY LAB DOWN THE HALL WILL BE YOUR NEW HOME. The final is cumulative and you need to pay attention. HE'S COOL

Dr. Covitt is hands down the BEST professor I have ever had. This man is passionate,helpful,kind,HILARIOUS,and clear. He is so nice and approachable with any questions you have. He made 7 hour days go by quick with his little anecdotes and burst-out laughing jokes. I miss this professor so much I wish I can redo his class, that's how great he is.

Hardest class I have ever taken in my life, and I've taken some pretty hard classes (physics, chem. trig.) I did not sleep many nights because I was busting my butt studying for 5-6 chapter tests. Although I got A's on the test I don't recommend this class to anyone. It's not good for your health or your sanity. Take someone easier.

Anatomy is a very difficult class because you have to memorize so much in a very short amount of time. Dr. Covitt makes his tests very challenging, but let me tell you by the time your done you will have gained more knowledge in one semester that you thought was possible. He is a very funny and charming professor. He is the best.

He's an AMAZING professor, His lectures are funny&very clear. What he lectures on, is what's on the test-no tricks&suprises.I didn't read the book&got a B. His tests are rough, STUDY the notes&GO 2 THE LAB! 1-2 essays on each test, cumulative final+lab test,it's about 65% new& 35% previous chapters. You will leave this class with a lot of knowledge

Here's the thing about Dr. Covitt. He is by far the best teacher I've ever had in my LIFE. Hardest class I have ever taken in my life. It literally pushed me to my breaking point but I now have such a profound knowledge of the human body. This class is a med students dream. I seriously enjoyed every second of it even though it was extremely hard.

He is a great instructor who is very passionate about his job. Dr. Covitt is very in depth and requires a lot from you. This class was extremely hard for me. Sadly, I would recommend taking a different instructor at GCC.

This guy is adorable. Don't get me wrong, he makes you work for the grade because the subject is difficult itself. This class requires you to study/memorize visuals and lecture. His handout notes are extremely organized and he only tests you on what we go over in class. You don't need the book, but the book will get you an A. "A lion walks in.."lol

I learned so much and pushed myself like I've never done in a class. If you don't mind studying hard every week take him, but if you only want to pass the class without struggling, I recommend you to take another teacher that wont be as demanding. I worked so hard and got a B (even though I only needed a 2% of TG to get an A)

Great professor. Explains material in detail. Class is mainly memorization. The book is not essential but comes in handy to go over material that you didn't understand. Also, uses pics from the book on lab tests. Provides an outline of lecture notes through moodle but attendance is mandatory if you want to pass. This class is not for lazy students

Professor Covitt was the best professor I've had in my entire college career. Better than any UC professor I've had. He was so caring towards each of his students. Although it is a challenging course, he was very clear and straight forward with all his exam questions. Definitely take dr. Covitt!!

Great professor, but you need to study a lot .

I simply love this professor. He is funny, caring and has amazing lectures . He is clear and easy to follow, he has the best methods to help you memorize the body .If you miss lecture you fall behind significantly, grammar matters more than English class . Dr. Covit thought me discipline and new ways to study that help so much during physiology .

Dr. Covitt is a phenomenal professor. Not only does he keep the class active and fun, but his lessons are very thorough. The class itself is a hard class so you can't blame the study overload. My Advice? Always attend EVERY class session, or else you'll fall behind. Otherwise, it's amazing.

I'm applying to DPT school now and I'm looking back on all the professors I had and he was the absolute best. I studied day and night for this class and loved every moment of it. He teaches you things that you will not learn anywhere else. If you get a bad grade its on you don't even think about blaming this professor because he's a gem.

Im guessing a lot of u r taking this course bc ur pursuing a career in health care . Trust me, once u go 2 nursing school, etc., u will wish your exams were 7 chs. Each of your exams will cover 20-25 chs. &, u will have trrrible instructors that cannot teach! Its u & the book. Dr. C is very clear on what he expects and whats on his exams.

Same person as below...5 quizzes, 2 that we knew of and 3 that were pop but were easy. 4 tests. Record his lectures, all test questions are either something he said in his lecture or on his notes. He jokes throughout his lectures and I was waiting for the "a lion walks in" joke all semester. I loved him. Id take him again no questions asked

Honestly an AMAZING professor. Took him during summer. His lectures were interesting, and he is very aware of his students. He gives frequent breaks when he notices the lecture was heavy. His tests are manageable, but you must study every day!! I did not even want the class to end because that is how much I enjoyed it. Final is half cumulative!

Prof. covitt is a great professor. i took him in the summer and it is not bad as it seems. Make sure to study everyday. His lecture notes is basically the entire exam so make sure to take good notes. When he lectures is gives hints on what might be a question on the exam or a possible essay question. He made the 6 hrs of class every entertaining.
