He tells a lot of stories, but they are all funny and not boring. He gives you 4 tests and they are not too hard but a midterm and final and if you fail all of your tests but get an A on the midterm and final he gives you an A or B in the class. He's easy all you do is take notes and the final and midterm are all on every practice question you do.

I took Dr. Flemming's Intro to Latin America class and I absolutely loved it. I had no interest in the subject before taking his class, but he is very intelligent and passionate about what he teaches. He has a dry sense of humor that could either be taken as funny or offensive. Attendance isn't mandatory but I wouldn't reccommend missing class.

I took him for world politics - I got an A. I enjoyed the course and had enough extra credit that I didn't even have to write the 10 page paper. He grades easy, he's funny and makes a subject like this interesting and relatable.

Good professor. I liked how he always used real life examples/stories to refer to the material we were learning, it makes learning alot easier. His stories sometimes become so funny, I could'nt help but bust out laughing. The exams were a little challenging, but do the practice questions and the extra credit and your be fine. Dr. Flemming is HILARIOUS! Class grade consists of practice questions, 2 essay exams, and a 10 page paper. Exams aren't hard, but not easy. As long as you study from your practice questions and study your notes, you'll do fine. If you fail an exam, all the extra credit he offers can make up for it. If you do all the work, you'll get an A.

Dr. Flemming is really good and funny, he is almost a comedian at times. He places an emphasis on note taking, which he explains much of the class on the chalkboard. He does not use any books very much, but rather his own creative material, and he will give out many pamphlets for you to read and study from for the tests. Very good professor.

I took his politics in film and international politics class a few years ago. I'm now a political science major (thanks to him)at Oakland University, and he is actually better and much more knowledgeable than the political science professors at Oakland. I owe him a lot! Thanks Dr. Flemming!

I am glad I took Professor's INTL class because not only is his class fun and not too hard when he makes funny jokes but as a Professor he is highly knowledgeable. I advice you to take his class because you will not regret. All you have to do are the journals, practice questions,book report, interaction papers and a final exam.

Dr Flemming is great. Probably the best and most educated professor at Macomb. Hes funny and knows his subject well. He lets you rewrite your work if you turn it in early, and he grades by points. It's a very easy class and he's a very funny guy but I thought that he didn't discuss the topics enough. The class was about Eastern Europe and he talked about Michigan as a Wally to relate better but just kinda lost track. If you want an easy A, take him but dont expect to learn to much about the subject the class is on

Clear and to the point. He gives a lot of handout that you should read. Be ready for a lot of notes but they will help you in the end. There will be a lot of typing and papers to turn in but you have a lot of time to do them. Also he is very forgiving when it comes to late assignments but don't abuse his forgiveness. Absolutely Great Professor! Very detailed. Gives lots of Extra Credit opportunities. Don't miss classes, gives several questions that must be answered for credit. Go to class, turn in homework and its an easy "A"! Very laid back! But excellently presented material! Would take him again!

I never read the textbook. Prof is funny, sarcastic, and writes what he talks about on the whiteboard. Work consists of 10 paragraphs on different topics (5 points each), 2 videos in class w/ fill-out sheets about them (20 points each), one book report on the Garcia Girls (get from library), and one final exam. Prof gives lots of extra credit.

Mr. Flemming was awesome!!!! Very reasonable work load, don't need to read the text book, and always was available for questions. Awesome professor. If you do all your work, you will be guaranteed an A. He is also very funny.

I've never had a professor like this guy. He makes showing up to class enjoyable. His lectures can be lengthy at times but he keeps you interested. Hes hilarious and with little work required, I recommend him!

I've had Dr. Flemming for both INTL to Latin America and for Russia & East/Central Europe. To keep it short, I'm sad that he doesn't teach any other classes. 100% recommend this professor.

Professor Flemming is such an amazing professor. Unlike other classes, he actually wants you to LEARN. The way he teaches, makes you enjoy class and actually learn something. Put it this way, I took this class at night with attendance not mandatory and I never missed a class.. I actually enjoyed going. He teaches so many valuable life lessons too!

At first I did not like this professor at all, but a few weeks into class he became my favorite professor. I loved his personal stories and the illustrations he used to bring home the major points in his lecture. He gives plenty of opportunities to earn EC too! You can tell he really enjoys teaching and wants his students to learn.

He's a bit intense, but I would highly recommend Professor Flemming. I didn't like him much at first, but he grew on me. He says and does so many funny things. The class covers lots of important, useful topics. There's lots of writing, especially if you do all the extra credit work. Some of the required work doesn't have a set date in the syllabus.

Dr. Flemming is awesome! There is only one exam. There are 5 mandatory journals that you can answer by taking good notes. He gives a lot of extra credit but it will only be applied if you've turned in all of the assignments. There is a book for the course but he doesn't use it. There is one book report paper, and 10 practice questions.

Professor Flemming is hilarious and nice! He always makes his lectures funny while at the same time informational. His class is set up so you actually learn information. Do all his assignments and put in some effort and you will succeed in this class! No tests, other than the final exam! Offers a bunch of extra credit. Glad I took him!

My favorite professor hands down. It took me a week or two to figure out how his note taking skills were, but in all honesty hes the best one there yet! I hope he never retires and he deserves all of the credit he gives for neing so amazing, I have seriously learned so many thing from him. You won't regret taking him, just do it!

Overall, he's just a great teacher. Very understanding and caring and his lectures are pretty easy to sit through because he makes them interesting. Plus professor Flemming has a great sense of humor which is always great to have in a classroom.

Gary is really great and really wants you to learn. He loves participation and when he notices that you're understanding the material. His lectures are put in a way that you can easily grasp. If you do the assignments, you get an A. There are so many opportunities for extra credit, my classmate got 75 points just there. Take him!

Professor Flemming is an amazing professor to have. He really cares about getting students their education and wants thrm to pass. He will really go in detail on the different things he teaches us about. He is the most funny guy at Macomb with his funny stories that have to do with what we are learning. Im planning on taking him again.

Hilarious and would take again. You're graded by very few things and he doesn't give a lot of direction, but as long as you do the assignments and try, you'll pass. No powerpoints, he writes on the board, and has amazing stories. For INTL 2000, he did a mock altar for Day of the Dead. Class is really interesting. Do yourself a favor and take him.

Best professor Ive ever had. I look forward to going to his lectures every week, and he often talks about his personal stories too which tend to be hilarious. At first I thought he was going to be a grumpy old professor but hes actually in tune with his students. Its a shame Im transferring because I would take any class he teaches in heartbeat

Best professor you could ever have. Hes what every professor should be. Hes incredibly knowledgeable on all subjects, and I was surprised to learn he went to Georgetown. His lectures are very authentic, and hell incorporate a lot of his own stories into the lesson. Hes down-to-earth and outright hilarious with old-school humor.

Professor Flemming is beyond awesome. So understanding and extremely smart. Makes the class fun and hes hilarious, just a total icon. Definitely the first professor Id recommend to anyone. Work is crazy easy and not a single test, yet you still learn a lot in there. Wish every professor was like him. A LITERAL LEGEND.

His lectures are incredibly engaging and insightful, and he always makes great connections between different topics. However, while this isn't "bad" per se, he doesn't really do anything digitally. There also isn't a textbook because he, quote, "hasn't written one yet," so make sure to borrow someone else's notes if you miss a class.

As someone who is not interested in social sciences nearly at all, I am so thankful I took his class! His lectures were a great balance of information and personal stories that connected to the topic, and is quite knowledgeable about every topic. And as long as you keep up, the workload is manageable. Will definitely recommend him to my peers!

Took this class almost three years ago and till this day I remember professor Flemming. Literally the best and most memorable professor I had when attending Macomb. The work was so easy and there were no tests at ALL and I still learned a good amount of information from this class. I'm glad to see professor Flemming is still teaching at Macomb.

Flemming is a real teacher who is very hilarious and his workload is very light, the note-taking is a lot but it helps tie it all together. I only dislike that he talks for a very long time. Other than that you must attend class in person because he does not post anything online whatsoever. Overall great guy!

Gary is wild! Rarely have homework, a few questions, and a few reading exams and projects. Easiest class I took all semester. My only advice is to watch your email. He will cancel a class with an hour's notice. He also canceled class as we were walking in.

100% recommend for people to take him. The only thing is that you do have to show up to class, he does not do a n y t h i n g online. That's why I don't know my grade. But, he is an easy grader and understands if you turn something in late. As long as you turn it in. No tests at all besides your final, just journals.

Professor Flemming was definitely not what I was expecting. He makes jokes in class tells you a couple stories here and there and is a crazy easy grader. Tests were a breeze and even the final was too. Definitely a class to take if you need to get an A, Make a few friends in class when you miss something because he doesn't post anything online

Had him for INTL 2000. Check with him that you have the right books. I nearly lost 1/6th of my grade because of a vaguely-mentioned novel in the syllabus that we apparently had to read and write a report on. Aside from that, I loved the class. He can be crass, but the man is absolutely brilliant, a wild storyteller, & his lectures are phenomenal!

Hi, I am the one that said I wasn't sure of my grade, I ended up with an A, I now have him again for pol1000. The two differences between these classes is intl you do mainly journalling, no tests except a 10q final. Pols has like 4 take home tests, publicpoll, 10 days of watching news for 15mins each, & final. He gives two weekends for each.

He's a super entertaining and knowledgeable guy. He knows exactly how to teach and keep the stuff you learned in your brain. The homework is very easy. He doesn't use any computer stuff or online tools, just paper. I highly recommend if you are looking for a class that is fun and simple.

Where do I even start? Professor Flemming is easily my favorite professor I've had at Macomb so far. Took his Latin America class in the fall and totally rearranged my schedule to have him again! He's very lecture heavy but he makes them so fun. Great professor and even better person, would recommend him to anyone.

Flemming gives great lectures and keeps class super entertaining. His stories/real world examples really help you grasp the concept. If you get offended easily, this isn't the proffesor for you, but Flemming really does make it easy to get a good grade. All kinds of extra credit work, etc. He is extremely knowledgeable.

Dr. Flemming is an amazing professor. He is quite overqualified for his position and it shows. Nevertheless, his class is very easy and fun! He is super entertaining to listen to. Just keep in mind that nothing is online. He does not post anything on canvas so you have to show up and take good notes.

Professor Flemming is an extremely knowledgeable and easygoing professor. His classes are based almost entirely on lectures, with journal papers and other easy assignments spread throughout. Be warned that he does not post on Canvas AT ALL; he didn't even open up the class for us. Come in-person and listen to his lectures and you'll do fine.

Professor Flemming is the best professor I have ever had. His class is very straight-forward and easy to succeed in. He truly wants students to succeed and perform well in his class and schooling in the future.

During class it was pretty much just lectures. Then a paper would be given and you could just base them off the notes you took in class and you would get a 100%. Lots of extra credit assignments plus normal assignments just stay on track and this class is easy. He tells a lot of stories to the lectures aren't that boring. 10/5 would recommend. :)

Mr. Flemming when I had him for political science was literally perfect. He offers so much extra credit that its nearly impossible to fail. He'll also mention he has the highest grade point average out of everyone at macomb and its easy too see why!! His lectures are amazing if you actually pay a little bit of attention here and there.

Does not post grades. He gives you your papers with the score and a paper to write your score down. Does not post anything online. Overall a good class and a good professor. Lots of extra credit.

Professor Flemming is an amazing teacher! His class is mostly lectures, but he's funny and keeps it interesting. Do the assignments and some extra credit, and you'll be in a great spot for an A. He doesn't use Canvas—everything is on paper—but it's manageable. I'd definitely take him again!

Professor Flemming for me is one of the most memorable and impactful teachers i have had. He was hilarious, did not make poltical opinions, and stayed on subject while sharing his life and backround. I learned a lot with him and would take him again in a heartbeat. He made the subject so interesting and is what a teacher should be.

Super nice and understanding guy. He gives you time to submit assignments if they are late and gives out lots of extra credit. As long as you show up and do the work (which isn't a lot) you will do great. You can tell he wants you to learn and cares for his students. 10/10 would recommend!

Took his class last year. Love this guy he is super sweet, and his assignments are not hard but slightly time consuming. Super sweet and even had a whole conversation about test anxiety with him. All of the assignments were take home and he was lenient with late work but you do get slightly penalized for it. Overall take his class!

Professor Flemming is a very nice guy and is very lenient on all of the assignments. The class is very easy however sometimes the work can be disorganized and can cause confusion because most of the assignments (besides the reading exams) do not have a strict due date. Other than that I would take a class of his again

This was the easiest class ever. There's soo much extra credit, but you have to be in class to get it. He doesn't use canvas at all so u don't know what ur grade is, but u can ask. Everything is clearly stated & hands out all the big assignments to u on the first day. DONT buy the book. We didn't use it. Do ur HW ASAP or it will be overwhelming
