great teacher he sub my computer concept class very understanding.
He is a great teacher that makes you want to come to class. He is helpful and makes learning fun. He has a great sense of humor.
This was not an easy class (I took it as an intersession so it might be different in a 16 wk class.) He did make the subject fun and interesting. He is direct, fair and knows his subject matter.
This class is very different from others. He gives mostly writing assignments.
different and helpful teaching methods. i enjoy this class. i learned a lot with fun. A+++++++
Great style of teaching that includes exciting and informative lectures. Does great job of getting the class involved in the discussions. Gets students work independently and develop their creative thinking skills. Would recommend to anyone that wants to enhance their management skills. Great Professor.
Mr. Keck makes management fun and interesting to learn. You will learn about management from a real life standpoint and not just book knowledge. If you have to have management, his class is a must! You will walk a way with a sense of what management is really about.
Great Professor! Very interesting, motivating lectures. Critical thinking required, but makes the assignments interesting and fun. Very laid back, but structured enough to come to class prepared. I would recommend Mr. Keck if you want to come away with a better understanding of the subject. Follows the Syllabus, hated to see the class end!
Very lenient and helpful. Would recommend.
very good teacher. enjoyed his class the most of any class so far. he loves to teach and it comes through. he makes management come to life instead of just some facts in some stuffy book
Fun, but really challenged us to apply the material to our work. Great encouragement in the class to participate. Didn't put up w/ slackers.
Mr. Keck, although pretty laid back, is very challenging and you have to think critically. Very fun, interactive, discussion-based classes, yet must be prepared. Makes a somewhat boring subject, most interesting, and applicable to the real world. Infuses humor, very fair and flexible. Would most definitely recommend! Two thumbs up!
Great teacher. Gives clear agenda so you can manage the class. He doesn't give a heavy work load and assignments are not intense. Grades extremely fairly.
Keck is energetic class work is very self-reflective
awesome teacher! He was interesting and fun, very fair and likes class participation. I would recommend him highly!
great teacher and alot of fun
This was one of my favorite teachers! If you need this class, take him! You won't regret it. He is very fair and listens to class input.
Good teacher. Responds to e-mail's quickly. Chance for extra credit. Study!!!!
Keck was an awesome teacher! He would always go out of his way and take the time u needed to help you understand the assignment. He was always willing to work with our class on assignment deadlines. He also responded to emails fast. I'd take him for all my management classes.
Great class I grew as a person with this class. He is very helpful explains very well and is interested in your views. He is there for the students to help you achieve every way possible. Take him you wont regret it.
RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! This guy is so hard! There is so much to do, and his grading is a little off, so getting an A requires untold amounts of works. so my advice to you... DON'T TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Keck is a very good teacher. He lets the class decide what assignments they want to do from a list at the beginning of the semester. His class requires participation and is discussion based. He is very understanding and doesn't grade very hard. He challenges you and makes you think. You?re a better student when you leave his class. A+ teacher!!
Mr. Keck is a good Professor. He tells you up front, that you must follow the instructions. If you follow the instructions and put the effort into the class, you'll get an A. If you don't...don't expect the grade! It is a lot of work, but not too bad.
I took this class online and traveled most of the semester. There is a lot of work involved, but you learn a lot and it's totally worth it. You do actually learn a lot from this class. I really enjoyed it!
Excellent instructor. Will bend over backwards to help you. So impressed with him that I am taking 3 classes from him in the coming semester. Take his classes, one of the best!!!!
If you are not stupid this will be one of the best classes you ever attend. There are no reasons why you should want to miss a class. It is kept fresh, interesting, and keeps you thinking. If you as a student does not gain from the class it is only because of you.
So inspiring! Great teacher! He's lots of fun and wants this to be a life-changing experience for the student, which it was for me.
The class was great,he keeps you interested and encourages discussions amongst the students.the class isnt hard as long as you show up and do the work,he mainly looks for content.I would recommend his class.
Great class, he loves what he does and it shows in how he teaches. Explains things in a way you never looked @ it before, opens your verizons. He has a way of taking you far in the left field, but dnt worry he always brngs you back to hme base. Great teaching and you will enjoy the class.
ONLINE 8 wks. I had the wrong textbook the first half of class, but he worked with me and the rest of the class to make the best grade possible while still learning A LOT of useful information! Test every 4 chapters, 4 discussion boards, and 1 semester project. READ the chapters, good notes help on tests. Keck is a good prof!
The only way to fail his class is if you don't ask for his help or communicate with him. Bonus project available if you need more points to pass (which I doubt anyone would need it). You learn but you're not stressed out. You save on books because he gives the free online version.
I took Keck's online Management class. Super smooth class with a lot of good discussion and points from him. He has an open mind and loves his job.
Mr. Keck is an inspirational teacher. He is fun, imaginative & exciting! He used great powerpoint presentations & movie excerpts to teach the subject of management. I would recommend his class to anyone! He also explains all assignments clearly & is always ready & willing to answer questions.
Although his management course was a bit light on the planning, organizing, and controlling aspects of management, it will teach you quite a lot about leadership. He's definitely someone I'd want to take in person
Keck is a great instructor. I took his 8wk online mgmt course and learned lots. He used an online (free) book, which was another plus. Grading consisted of 4 online exams, 4 discussions, and a semester project. Bonus project available as well. There was quite a bit of reading and critical thinking, but overall it was pretty easy to get an A.
You will not regret taking his class! He wants everyone to make the best grade possible. Does everything in his power to help you pass/make an A. If you put in the effort there's no way to not make a good grade in this class. Friendly, caring, and teaches the subject well.
If you get a chance you MUST take Keck! 1 of my favorites!GREAT professor & great sense of humor. Had him for a online class-had better communication w/ him than w/face to face professors. He wants you to succeed. Knows the subject VERY well. Helpful, Fun, Intersting,Friendly,Caring. His RULE #1 is HAVE FUN. He's AWESOME! Would DEF take him again!
I had Keck while I was still in high school. I took his night class at Owasso High School. I left with a B, and I barely did anything. If I would have tried, an A would have been very possible. He is such a cool guy. After High School I enrolled in TCC because of him. You can get good teachers for a lower price than at another university.
This is a teacher that still cares about education and not a pay check. The book we had was available online free. You will have to work for your A but it is possible and you will learn a lot.
Very funny. Makes references to the movie Waterboy! Has 4 DB's, 4 tests and a semester project. Gives good feedback and responds quickly. I would take him again!
Online 8 wks; Prof very attentive to students, corresponded in reasonable time frames; 4 tests, mildly difficult, must cover chapters in detail to study well; 4 DQ's lengthy and must post several days early to receive full points; Semester project and Bonus project lengthy but both projects are fairly easy but highly recommend beginning EARLY!!!
Outstanding lecturer, fun class, time always went by quickly. His assignments are very good, you'll learn a lot from them. Don't take them lightly, start early. Very responsive and helpful, excellent feedback.
Most difficult/challenging AND favorite class ever! I never saw a teacher bend over backwards for his students more then Keck. Take very detailed notes and do not procrastinate. You will learn a TON from him! Had him for a 8 week online class, and already plan on taking him again for other courses that he teaches. Start on assignments early!! :)
Loved the Management Essentials class. Great set up and delivery. Would take Keck again!
I really liked this class and the instructor made the class easy to follow.
I struggled with time management as it was an online course, but the professor was overly helpful and quick to reply to emails. The course work was not overly difficult, but there is a lot of work. I recommend buying the book rather than viewing online. I kind of rushed things and got a B+. of I had done things timely I could have gotten an A.
He is a very helpful and understanding lecturer. You have to do the work but he will go extra mile to make sure he help you succeed. He replies to your mail promptly. I would definitely take his class again.
Keck was AMAZING. He was extremely helpful, and fast to respond to emails. He does challenge you but its worth it. You will learn a lot in this class. I would highly recommend Keck!
8 wk online course: While challenging, Professor Keck was very available and responded to emails quickly. Really enjoyed this class, but if you don't like to write, this is probably not the class for you. That being said; I REALLY enjoyed this class - he really cares about how successful his students are. Will take him again if I get a chance.
Easy A!!! During the summer course I was able to order my book from amazon for about 90$% less than it would have been at the book store. I enjoyed this class you can learn a lot to begin to position yourself to become better person in business as well as in life. Take this class!!!
I took the class online, Mr Keck is very responsive to emails and questions. The consist of discussions boards and a final written essay, as long as you do the work you will pass this class! Mr. Keck makes the book available for free online so no need to purchase the book unless you want a hard copy.
Took Keck online for MGMT 2323 & 2363 in the same semester. Great teacher, makes you think, makes the class enjoyable and gives you EVERY chance to succeed. Hoping to have the opportunity to take another course of his.
Professor Keck was awesome! He is so helpful and really wants his class to succeed. I took his online class and I enjoyed it! I am taking another of his classes next semester! If you have the chance to take one or more of his classes, do so. You won't regret it.
Great class! I took the class online & it was great. Prof. Keck made it interesting & thought provoking. You have to keep up with your chapter reading and take good notes!!! I would take any class with this instructor!
Love this instructor! He is funny but to the point. I have had him for other classes and he is one of my favs!!
Great instructor-very helpful. I took online and it was awesome. If you do your work you'll get an A.
Took his Management Essentials class online and even though I fell behind at the begining I was able to come back strong and finish with a good grade. I would take him again.
This was my second class with Professor Keck! He is very supportive of making sure his students do their best. Very clear and concise with assignments and syllabus. Responds quickly to email. Great teacher!
Great organization, easy to contact via email.
I have taken many classes from Mr. Keck and he is a professor I would recommend. He is not over baring but is business like and lets you know he has an open door even though you are an online student. He makes learning fun while making it serious. I think that you would like his classes he pretty much makes it known that it is up to you.
Professor Keck is awesome! He is extremely helpful and responds very quickly to emails. He explains his directions well and makes every attempt to help his students succeed. There's no reason not to succeed in this class. If you're willing, Professor Keck is more than willing to do what he can to help! Highly recommend!
Keck is very helpful and quick to respond to emails. The assignments were thought provoking and really emphasized the material. I did not have to spend an overwhelming amount of time to complete papers, but gladly worked hard to do a good job. Really liked this class and would gladly take a Keck class again.
The professor was very helpful and informative. For an online class, I felt very supported by the teacher. Also, his posts and commentary were quite humorous.
This was my 3rd class with Keck and again he did not disappoint!! His intent is to ALWAYS see his students succeed! He is quick to respond to emails and is very clear and concise with his directions!
Keck is not just fun, but he is passionate about "getting it" - he is a good teacher - not just academic but has real world experience in connecting and motivating. I look forward to more of his classes. Its about life and learning management, which is more when really focused in on is very similar. Highly recommend
being my first online class I was surprised, it was not as difficult as I thought if would be. To be successful you will need to put some time and effort in it but professor Keck made it pretty easy. Just do the work and you will get a good grade
He's the best online teacher that I have ever had. He keeps class interesting and the class is easy if you keep up with the work.
Professor was great. good communication, and answered e mails quickly.
I have had Mr. Keck's online classes twice and enjoyed each one. He responds to e-mails quickly and wants everyone to succeed. Do you work and you will pass this class.
This teacher will send you A TON of emails. The class is actually pretty easy (mainly the tests) but I felt like all of the assignments and projects were unclear, extensive, and not pertaining to the subject matter so it was hard to follow. He uses weird lingo. He also consistently says how disappointed he is by the class which is off putting.
Not sure what class the last person was in, but Keck was very upfront and quite clear with his expectations. I found that his communication and feedback was very refreshing and much more than most instructors give. Do your work, participate, & its a piece of cake. Great class! Would def take him again.
Overall not bad. Communication is a little spotty. First two tests were a little tough. Do the work, follow instructions, and you should be fine. He seems to want everyone to do well. E-book.
Gary Keck has been my favorite teacher of all time. He genuinely cares about his students and will do whatever it takes to make sure you understand the material and take something away from the class. I took him for Principles of Management as well as Organizational Behavior and we was great in both. I would take him for every class if I could.
I took Keck's online POM class this semester. The book sucks, but the professor does not. He's crystal clear in his instructions and expectations, he gives chance after chance to make a good grade. If you do not make an A in this class it's because you did not do the work. He does send a lot of emails, but that's because he's a GREAT COMMUNICATOR!
I took Keck's online POM class . He's crystal clear in his instructions and expectations, he gives chance after chance to make a good grade. If you do not make an A in this class it's because you did not do the work. Do your work and stay on top of it as much as you can. He is a great communicator with his student which is helpful!
Loved Keck's teaching style. He expects college level papers and gives great feedback. He likes to know students are involved and at least trying. He tries to be stern but is a complete sweetheart! Highly recommended.
I did the 8wk online class. Do your homework and don't fall behind and you will be fine. He did offer extra credit. He helps you anyway he can. And he is always sending out emails to keep everyone informed of what is due what has change and so on. I would recommend this class to anyone. Just be organized and stay on track.
8 week course not too much work but each assignment asks for a lot of information and detail. If you don't provide just know you will get multiple point deducted. His projects arnt very well understandable, good luck understanding his instructions their like each a couple paragraphs long.
8 week course, it was doable. Not a ton of work, but it will keep you busy. If you have a full slate of classes, it could get overwhelming due to the papers you have to write each week. Every 5 days there is a paper due and there are 4 tests and a semester project. It kept me busy. Be diligent with your time management and you will do well.
Professor Keck, Is an awesome instructor I have never met him in person, but feel like I know him since I have taken several of his classes. He is a fun, love his emails and messages. He is there for his students and if you reach out to him he will work something out for you if you are having issues. I hope there are more classes I can take w/him
Professor Keck is the best. Had him for Psychology and fell in love with the class from day 1. He is always involved in the class. He is wanting to make a fun and enjoyable environment. Assignments are very easy. Need the book. I would recommend to anybody.
Professor Gary Keck has been the easiest online course that I've taken so far and I absolutely learned and enjoyed this class.. His personally shows through his syllabus, announcements to the class and emails.. He's funny!!
Professor Keck is by far the best teacher I have had at TCC thus far. With that said be prepared to read, do not wait till the last day to post discussion boards, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Keck made everything simple and to the point. Discussions were a blast! Study for the tests, he throws out 5 questions each test. good feedback!
Professor Keck is a straight forward professor. He makes his class fun and give everyone a chance to participate. He is lectures but not boring he makes it interesting. Thing I like best is he looks out for his students with the text book cost. Very interesting, and fun class.
All around great professor. He really cares about his students. This dude is hilarious and very personable. If you don't take him you're doing college wrong. Easy A.
Funny guy, works hard to be a proficient instructor. Actually tries to get people to learn something, not just the run of the mill teacher that regurgitates information. Is lenient, but not a pushover.
You get what you put in this course. Do the work, participate.
I have attended two colleges and Mr. Keck is definitely my favorite of all professors. He is inspiring, helpful, available, and great personality. I honestly took at least one of his classes per semester. I highly recommend him and any of his classes.
Keck is amazing! His class is interesting and he makes it so fun. You use your book and are responsible for all the reading, so be prepared for that. He gives a few bigger papers and assignments along with participation points, but if you work hard on the bigger assignments, you can make an A. He is very approachable and gives great feedback.
My professor was very inspirational he is the only reason I finished this class. My professor is the "realest" professor you will ever get. The class may be tough and fast, but with his help I was able to finish it.
My least favorite class due to the fact he grades like the assignments are worth so much more depth then they really are. Wants you to give long explanations about the stupidest stuff. This class is a joke and has not helped me at all.
Keck is one of the best teachers I've had through TCC. He wants his students to succeed and gives them all the material to do so. Lots of short papers and discussions, but they are easy if you just try. His testing style is also easy to follow and do well. I have taken 2 of his classes and will be taking my 3rd next semester
Keck is by far the best professor! The only way you would not pass if you don't do the assignments. They are super easy! He provides his students with several opportunities of extra credit. The tests are some what tricky, but that should not impact your grade. He notices if you are making an effort or not. I would highly recommend him!
Best teacher I have ever had!!!! And, he is hot!!! You will not want to miss a single class. He is adorable, funny, talented, and very inspirational. He has practical knowledge about Management and the class assignments and discussions are really good. I want to take every class he teaches! You will love him. Can't wait for the next class!!!
Simple class and he is super reasonable on what was expected and due dates. Very funny too.
Professor Keck is fantastic! Class is pretty simple. Work is pretty simple. Due dates are clear, but he also offers extra credit opportunities. Take his Organizational Behavior class if you need this credit.
I took this class this semester and I will say that, there is lots of work to do. You will need to make sure you participate in the discussions and be ready to write for projects. Although, there was lots of work, he gives you good feedback on all assignments and is quick to answer any questions you have. I passed, although I missed an assignment.
DO NOT TAKE. He is clear about what he wants but it doesn't matter because if it isn't exactly how he would've written the submission then you have no hope. His feedback would tell me I did a great job and did everything he asked but he still would NEVER give full credit. DO NOT listen to the other people. HE IS THE WORST! I'M TRYING TO HELP YOU!!!
Honored to be his student!! He did a fine job teaching us and it makes me sad that some of these students just dont even care enough to take a test or turn in work. I thank Mr. Keck for taking time out of his life to teach us, I really appreciate it. I am appalled at how little people cared about giving him his due respect. I respect Mr. Keck!
Keck has the perfect syllabus! Everything was lined out to a T with dates & expectations (should be required). Accepted use older textbook version, which saved a LOT of money. If you put effort into this class, you will do well, but he does expect you to participate and use your brain (imagine that). Great professor who cares about his students.
Professor Keck was hands down the best professor I have ever had. He is funny and inspirational. He is very laid back and wants his classes to be interactive. There are tests and mini papers along with multiple large projects throughout the semester. It is not hard work but it requires the use of what you have learned more than reciting vocab
Keck was a good teacher to have instruct Management Essentials, a bit of forewarning though, prepare to write quite a bit. I took his 8 week course, and despite scoring very good grades, the writing was frequent and lengthy depending on the assignment. You can succeed in the class, just set good schedules to manage the work.
Wonderful professor. Funny, genuine, informative. Lots of papers, but manageable. He actually cares about his students, and his lectures are entertaining, and I learned so much from him. He actually inspired me to change my major. Simply put, he is the best. Not an easy A, but an earned A... as long as you put in the effort.
Accepted a manager's job 2 days b4 class, prof. was so kind, allowed me to come into his 9:30 class, as I could not attend his 11:00. Everything he taught allowed me to have a smooth transition into management by showcasing all the necessary skills to be a great manager. His charisma, passion, & attitude truly made this class unforgettable!
He said he would not respond to emails anymore unless addressed in a formal tone, despite not using a formal tone himself, opting for words like 'sup y'all'. He will automatically withdraw you on the first week if you wait till the end of the week to do your assignments. I work full time and can't check my email every morning.
The course itself is fine. Simple enough. However, I would have dropped this class the first week if it wasn't needed for my degree. This professor is horrible. He sends out these "wall of text" emails practically yelling at everyone because one person "disrespected" him. This supposed disrespect was someone not addressing the email to him.
Hilarious character, however you will be counted "absent" for being late to class after being 2 minutes late. If you are "absent" 3 times, your grade is dropped by a letter grade. 5 times is an immediate F. Not to mention the lectures he gives have nothing to do with the homework. The homework you do is all in the online textbook at home.
Keck is awesome. He can come off as tough and mean, but he is just very no nonsense. Hes actually very nice and helpful when you talk to him. All work is put up at the beginning, so you are able to work ahead. He offers 250 points worth of extra credit, so theres no excuse to do badly unless you arent doing your work on time. Would take again.
Dr. Keck is the best. We had to take our class online for this semester and he made sure that we all felt like we belonged in the class. He would send us emails every week to help us and to tell us to keep going even though things are tough right now. He was hilarious in his emails and he really cares about his students understanding.
I learned so much from Professor Keck's management class. It is a lot of material that I applied immediately to my job. I loved the lectures and power points. He is funny while you will learn so much in his class. Amazing teacher
Instructions for assignments are FAR longer than the actual assignments. Keck's comments on graded assignments are nothing short of asinine. The assignments themselves are pointless and don't actually teach anything- including the "depth and breadth" of thought that he states. Keck hasn't progressed past the party boy college kid maturity level.
Okay, so here's the deal, Keck is awesome, tough grader, expects a lot, pretty much, the "B" was on me. He wants his students to be successful! He gave opportunities for extra credit, I just didn't do it. The class has a lot of writing, he challenges you, at least he did me, because I learned a lot. I am using all of this at my job.
The prof. made this class challenging & entertaining. Its stressful working thru an 8 week class & having external obligations but he makes it manageable. Prof. Keck is a unique professor, holds you accountable for your own performance in his class& gives you the tools to discover your own success. Hang on to this one because he is a good one.
Professor Keck tries way too hard to be funny. He sends looong (I'm talking 1000-2000 words) over explanatory emails. He uses very unprofessional lingo in his emails like "Holla atcha boy" and "git er done." His semester project is HARD and he's a very tough grader. He expects perfection. I busted my butt and wrote a 10 page paper and got an 80.
Professor Keck was funny and seemed pretty cool (Online), the tests were super easy but the essays were pretty difficult to get an A on so be prepared to spend a lot of time on those.
Prof. Keck makes his class hard to fail. Yes, he is a tough grader but this is college so that should be expected. The Case assignments are tough but I know I could have done better on mine and I still passed his class with an A. He offers extra on every test so if you actually participate and complete all of the assignments you should be fine.
he is annoying .. very
He is funny and cares about his students doing the work. His assignments are long but fun. I liked him a lot until I emailed him about a medical emergency that I had a few days before our semester project was due and asked for an extension. He never replied. I would have understood if I couldn’t have an extension, but a reply would’ve helped.
Best teacher ever!!!!!!! I learned so much about myself and how to manage people at work.
Respectfully, this class was crap. He grades entirely too heavy without giving useful, meaningful feedback. Most feedback was to look at the rubric, followed by a mass email to the class saying we "missed the ball" or the grades were overall "ouch". I ended with an A, but the stress and hours spent working for that were not worth it.
This is the second class I've taken of his, and I think he is the worst professor I've had. The case in point assignments are graded way too hard, and the instructions are not clear at all. For the final paper/CIP, which was worth 30% of our grade, I got a 54% on it. There was no page requirement and I wrote almost 10 pages, expectations too high.
Don't take his class at ALL COST!!!
One of my worst classes ever at TCC. His assignments were horribly confusing and even when I did finally figure them out I would often get a poor grade and the feedback "See rubric." On top of that, constant annoying emails sent out to the class telling us all how poorly we did. The only positive (and the reason I have an A) was very easy exams.
Very much likes to enforcer unnecessary rules with a lack of any sort of justification. He will make you use a lockdown browser for things as simple as a syllabus quiz. Not recommended for anyone that has a problem being assigned busy work.
The textbook is required there is no way around it. The toughest grader I have ever had. I have never once failed an English class I in fact have never gotten a B on an essay or paper for any English class I have taken and yet I continuously could not manage to do well on a written assignment.
Professor Keck is a good professor. Overall the class is easy. The whole class consists of 4 tests, and 4 case in points which are big assignments that you should do with time. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE EXTRA CREDIT. The professor posts all assignments on the first day of class so i would suggest to work ahead.
Read a few chapters per week, answer 5 questions per chapter, but the example answer he is looking for is 1300 words for 1 QUESTION!! So 1300 word answer ... times 10 questions is 13,000 words!! THAT'S PER WEEK!! 13,000 words per week, times 8 weeks. That's 104,000 words in 2 months. The average novel is 300,000 words just for some perspective.
Avoid.
If you ask for ways as to how you can improve and do better you won't be given any answer what so ever, you'll just continue receiving bad grades.
Be prepared to read and do plenty of research. There are four test and homework assignments. Make sure you read the examples he provides they will help you with your homework assignments. His emails and examples can be long and intimidating. however, it can be done. all of his test are done thru respondus.
Super great class, one of the few I actually enjoyed taking! There are only a few assignments, major 4 plus exams. If you follow his guidelines they're very easily laid out to complete them. Don't start them last minute, he gives ample time to complete but they are lengthy. Emails are hilarious and informative. He offers extra credit, too.
He is IMPOSSIBLE. He requires reflection essays and will give you a zero if you do not do them perfectly. When most of the class does the assignment incorrectly he views that as we did not "make any effort". Instead he should realize that since its most of the class, its his problem. I only took his class because he had good ratings, not sure why!
the professor does not respond to emails with any help but just talks down say to quote "I have already directed you in previous class emails, you need to read all the information in the Testing Resources & Information tab" and an unclear schedule with have 5 to 6 pages direct.
Professor Keck is awesome! He is hilarious and he gives great feedback. On blackboard it can be overwhelming with so much info BUT he gives you everything you need to succeed in his class. He gives you access to all work & test so you can work ahead, opportunities for extra credit, so if you fail his class, you are just lazy- plan and simple.
This course was very intimidating at first but overall it wasn't bad. I took the 8-week course. I had four tests and four Case in Point Essays that were a lot of work, each one was at least 1,000 words if not 3,000. Once you figure out the course and his grading style you will do fine.
Professor Keck's course is reading and writing-heavy, but doesn't have too many assignments. The Case in Point assignments are frustratingly long and tedious to complete. Those and your tests make up your entire grade. Tests are taken with a lockdown browser. He grades and gives feedback quickly, but his emails can be a little preachy.
during first month of a semester I COMPLETELY forgot about a lengthy assignment due worth 100 points BUT his extra credit is AMAZING! You can literally forget to do 2/3 bigger assignments and he has two opportunities to gain full credit. His organization is terrible though (Meaning his email format is weird) overall great. tests=lock down browser
Professor Keck's class has a heavy workload, but if you stay on top of it, you can do well. The case assignments are lengthy, but the exams are manageable. Using resources like unstuck study alongside the textbook can really help with prep and time management.
4 case studies and 4 tests are all you do. The case studies are very long but if you listen to his feedback they aren't impossible. The tests are also long and use lockdown browser but are easy. Preachy emails but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Never made below a B on my case studies but they took an entire week to do.
Assignments: Tests: Four 75-question tests require an LD Browser. No study guide only textbook quizzes and flashcards. Case in Point: Four assignments (3–6 questions each) require 700–1,100 words per question. High-quality, sourced analysis is required, with tough grading demanding significant effort. Time management is key to success.
Don't take him. I feel like the rates of 5 and 4's here are not real. I had never complained about a professor before until I took this class.
This was an online class, so I did not have face to face interaction with Mr. Keck, but I enjoyed the class he is a tough grader especially on his Discussion Questions assignments. He sends lengthy motivation emails; it feels like every day. Test= lockdown browser.
The class consists of 4 tests, 4 case studies, and two optional case studies for extra credit. The tests are locked down and cover 3-4 chapters each. The case studies are anywhere from 9-15 pages once completed, but his grading criteria is clear, and he gives plenty of time to complete them. I would recommend this course and doing the extra credit.
Professor Keck's online classes are informative and engaging. Emails are lengthy. The class consists of four detailed case assignments and four tests. The assignments require analytical thinking and are graded harshly. The tests are administered using the Lockdown browser, but no camera or mic. If you don't want to read, don't take his class.
I swear it seems like every time I went to do an assignment the due date would change I just logged on to take an assignment that was due October 3rd and now its October 3rd I was sick the day before and now the due date has changed to be due earlier than that and he does not allow any late work so now Im screwed out of 150 points that cant be done
Best professor you could honestly get. He's mad chill, gives time for assignments and responds back pretty fast when you email him. If you need en easy credit class and still learn this guy is your best and only option tbh.
First few weeks are busy, but after that, there is only one assignment due every 2-3 weeks. They take a long time to do, but totally manageable. He's very thorough in his grading, but provides the best feedback I've ever gotten! As long as you actually put thought into the questions and follow the directions, you will get an A. I really enjoyed it!
This is a critical thinking class. You cannot just regurgitate information. A lot of written information, specific instructions and tons of reading, but you have about 2-3 weeks between assignment and test due dates to complete. Buy the actual textbook and do all extra credit offered. I passed because of the extra credit.
