Easy, I had him for a night class and he kept the class interesting. He is very helpful and occassionally like to joke around in class, but in relation to what he is teaching. You will learn a lot and have a good time. I would take another class with him.

Gary is a fun guy to take a course with. He teaches at a level where everyone in the course can understand, and he has a lot of personal experience to give as examples. I would recommend taking him for a course

The class consists of 4 exams and a psychobiography on anyone you choose. You need the text, and need to go to class because some of the test questions consisted of lecture material not found in book. If you diligently study and attend lecture every day, you should get an A. If you "wing it" you'll get a C or D. The point is STUDY!

The exams are easy. The research paper is also an easy assignment. He gives extra credit.

His Death and Dying class was interesting. The tests and 4 small projects (which were fun!) were easy. I have taken him for previous classes before. Study the powerpoints and the book and you'll get an A. You don't have to go to class (at least for this course and the Theories course unless you're an auditory learner). Highly recommend him!!! A+++

We took four exams based on powerpoint notes, lecture, and text, we did four discussion posts on blackboard (easy) and he gave us extra credit. and thats it. He explains everything really well. I highly recommend him.

Great professor he explains everything very well like to add in some humor his jokes are kinda of lame but at least he tries. Tests can be tricky and some questions come from lectures and are not found in the text or notes.

CASE STUDY IS NOT DIFFICULT. HE MAKES THE CLASS INTERESTING, AND HE'LL THROW IN A JOKE HERE AND THERE. ALL IN ALL A GREAT PROFESSOR!

If psychology is not your major don't take this professor because his exams are VERY tricky. Sure his class is entertaining and he cracks jokes here and there but in retrospect I don't think his class was worth it. You really do need to buy the book and read it if you want an A in the class. And you also have to write a 12 page research paper.

In order to get an A, one must attend class and because he mentions stuff that will be on the test. He explains really good. His test questions seem tricky so students can feel dumb (i believe it makes him feel smart cuz students have truoble with the test ?s). Just read and go to class and STUDY and an A is possible.

The material is amazingly easy, the topics are mildly boring so you would think it be easy right?. The test questions, however, are ridiculously tricky which is not fair.

BORING, but very easy class. His test questions are not tricky at all, they're very straight forward. There is really no way not to get an A as long as you go to class and study. I never studied earlier than the day right before the test, and i got A's on every one. Plus, he gives extra credit AND has a review telling you what he's going to ask.

he's pretty easy if you just take good notes. can be funny sometimes. his tests are pretty straight forward, just go over the notes. he reviews the day before and tells you what to study. easy A if you just review what he tells you. gave our class extra credit to participate in a study that took about 20 minutes. always let us out a little early.

I have taken most of my psy classes with him. He is the best teacher ever! everything he teaches is interesting, he tells jokes, and exams are easy, if you pay attention in class! I highly recommend him!

Mr. Gary Leka is a wonderful teacher. His class is not mandatory but going does help. He says jokes and makes class very fun and interesting. His class is easy if you pay attention and read. He gives powerpoints, extra credit opportunities, videos, and a virtual child assignment. You have to read and attend class if you want a good grade. :)

Professor Leka, is an amazing professor, he doesnt require you to go to class but it is very helpful in going!! he does powerpoints, offers extra credit and reviews before exam. I got a B :) read the book and the pictures on it!

I'm currently taking his class. My main focus is my bio/chem courses but I do NOT think his exams are hard at all. Do the review & stuff that's on them is what's on the exam. The questions aren't tricky at all but you have to try in order to pass. There are 4 quizzes, 4 discussions, 2 short assignments, & 2 exams. I recommend him.

Professor Leka is my favorite psychology professor at PanAm. He is an excellent instructor, and always keeps the lectures interesting. I would definately recommend his classes! His exams are not too difficult if you pay attention and read. He can be funny sometimes and has great stories.

Mr. Leka is such a great professor! His lectures are always interesting, and he usually gives you material that will be on the exam that's not on the textbook or powerpoints, so its recommended to attend class. He also gives a lot of extra credit. It's impossible to not get an A if you do all the required assignments.

The information was very interesting. To do well in this course just take notes in the class, and go over the information in the book. An A is definitely attainable. There are 4 exams and one Case study. Leka is probably one of my favorite professors. He is funny. The tests are straight forward. I am looking forward to having him next semester.

This class is really interesting and easy! Not a common combination.. I def recommend him, he is funny and keeps the class interesting! You don't really need the textbk, everything is in the slides. Just make sure you go to class bc sometimes he mentions things that aren't in the slides!

He is great instructor! Class was fun and he has a great teaching style! I took him in the summer and there was 6 quizzes & 3 tests and one case study! Awesome class with an awesome professor! Take good notes and you'll do great.

Half online and half in class. 4 discussions, 4 quizzes, 4 writing assignments and two exams. Do well on all assignments and you can do ok on the exams and still get an A. pretty easy class. interesting lectures. not mandatory attendance. I missed for 3 weeks in a row and still aced it.

This class is half in class and half online, in his lectures he mentions things that are on the midterm and final exam so it's really good to attend class. He gives 4 discussions, 4 assignments, 4 quizzes that are all online and 2 exams in class and he also gives extra credit. Great professor!! I would recommend taking his courses

Amazing professor. Clear, concise, witty, hilarious, and intelligent. Attendance isn't mandatory, but everything on his quizzes are from the book and his lectures. The material is far from boring so reading doesn't feel like a chore. 12 quizzes, 2 video analysis, and a Journal summary. Good movies to chose from and super funny. Highly recommend.

Took this class this spring and loved it. 2 exams, 4 quizzes, 4 discuss, 4 assignments. I took Developmental Lifespan, it was half online half in class. Class was long but it was worth going and if you are taking it half online half class he doesn't keep you the whole time. He always emails back if any questions right away. I received an A.

He doesnt take attendance all the time, as long as your there the first 2 weeks after that he dont take attendance, his class is like a hybrid class, online and in class some other days. He is a very laid back professor, his exams are in class, and the quizzes are online. If you want to pass with very little work done, I would suggest you to take.

During the online weeks, you either have a discussion or an assignment and quiz due. Pretty easy class if you just do the work. Go to class because he gives you some hints for the exams.

An overall good professor. Pretty clear on what is expected to pass. He gives extra credit. You do need to read the book. Go to his lectures because sometimes he gives hints to questions that will be on the exams or quizzes. Quizzes and assignments are done online. Only gives a midterm and a final. An A is obtainable.

The homework assignment are really simple and opinionated so no way you can fail. recommended for others to take.

He's a good teacher. His lectures are easy to follow along, & it helps if you participate. He's understanding if you reach out to him. The online (4)assignments and (4)discussions are what got me, since I did almost none, but he grades fairly, so just do them. Study the powerpoint, write notes, read the book its an easy B, with slight effort an A.

he's a great professor, at first i had a hard time but eventually caught the hang of how to do things for his class. if you have any questions don't be afraid to send him an email, he usually responds quickly and is happy to help. his lectures are very interesting and funny.

Although online, Professor Leka's pre-recorded lectures were helpful. There are discussion posts and papers to write, so follow the rubrics! The Virtual Child program for this class is fun, although I'd suggest making time to complete the assignments ahead of their due date.

Was not an overwhelming morning class for me. If you attend lectures and do the study guides for exams with the book he asks for, you will be perfectly fine. Papers, exams, and a virtual child. Extra credit was offered multiple times. Will work with you during office hours and be thorough in his emails.

Loved Professor Leka. Had him in the morning and it was enjoyable. I practically got perfect scores on the assignments and article reviews and surprisingly got the same grade for every exam. Basically if you do the bare minimum on studying you should pass. Didn't read the book most of the time and just based myself on his pwp.

His classes are pretty good, he does tend to describe everything a little too much sometimes, taking up a long amount of time on one topic, but is otherwise pretty simple. His exams are not complicated, and his assignments are pretty easy, but they must be done on time. He does allow you to make up exams on the final day and is lenient on most.

He was super fun, didn't go to class all the time but you can get by without them, but I enjoyed the lectures

Best class ever!! :) his lectures are really interesting, no quizzes only a few essays and exams, but he's not a tough grader so you'll be great. Easy A if you attend class because most of the questions are based on what he discussed (like examples he gave during lectures).

Mr. Leka was really kind and funny. His lectures are interesting and pretty calm. He is fair and understanding, nothing bad to say about his class honestly.

I loved Professor Leka. He made the lectures funny and enjoyable. The class was made up of a few papers, tests, and discussion boards. All are pretty simple and easy to do if you follow the instructions.

He lectures of his PowerPoints. There were 4 Exams for this course and had random pop quizzes, both are in person. Has various written assignments which average from 2-5 pages depending on the assignment. He does take attendance through a sign in sheet or the pop quizzes.

Great and funny professor. Course covers 4 Sections, class consists of 4 exams (final exam only over section 4), 8 papers (4 article reviews, 4 research papers) due by 10 pm, & 4 pop quizes. Content is not hard, but its best to read textbook to do well on exams. Extra credit questions offered on tests and is not a harsh grader for papers.

Pretty chill class. He is accomodating and very fair with the grading. All of the assignments are straightforward and he doesn't grade them harshly. The quizzes are also just the right amount of challenging- not too hard, not too easy.

Prof. Leka is very nice, understanding, and responsive. His class is not difficult. The work load is very manageable and not hard what-so-ever. I recommend attending his office hour once, and ask for feedback if you did not earn a 100 on the assignments so that you can make those changes. You can find the book online, no need to purchase.

One of the best professors imo. Lectures were well explained, didn't use the textbook. Class consisted of a few article reviews + assignments every 2-3 weeks, and he always gave us the day off whenever the paper was due. In total there were 4 multiple choice exams of 40 q's & 1 extra credit open-ended one. Complete the study guides and you'll pass!

Be aware you do a lot of essays and discussion but he makes super easy he is not a tough grade I would definitely take him just make sure to do everything on time and he doesn't use lockdown or anything 10/10 he's super easy just alot of essays

I took him for PSYC 3332 and it was so easy. There's two essays every two weeks but they're easy, there's 4 exams if you take all of them he drops the lowest one and replaces it with the highest. there are 4 pop quizzes he does them after lecture, super easy. He responds to emails really fast and very understanding if you have a good excuse.

Dr. Leka is a great professor. He's passionate about his lectures. There are a few essays due throughout the semester but other than that, no other hw. His tests are in person and on paper/scantron. The tests can be a little challenging if you don't study enough. He curves the grades most of the time and he'll drop your lowest test grade.

amazing professor! his lectures were easy to follow along to and super interesting (made it easy to not get distracted with my phone). he asks you to buy the textbook but i was able to pass the class with an A without needing it. powerpoints have everything you need and study guides he provides help a ton! do the homework on time and its an easy A!

I took Dr. Leka for both development courses. Both are pretty similar in structure and similar grading criteria. There is four sections for the semester, each has one article review, pop quiz, assignment and exam. There are 4 sections in total. He gives out a study guide in what he will test in. Most are scenarios questions and definitions. 10/10

As long as you take maybe 30 minutes to study for his exams, you should get at least a B. I never even bought the textbook.
