Made one of my first courses at SFU very enjoyable to attend.

He's very well spoken and explains thing to death so that is is clear.
no offense...but why does everyone think he's so great? he's okay...

One of my fav profs of all time - hilarious and a great lecturer
lots of bs. BUT does teach well and hard to catch up to on notes.
2 thumbs up! Great prof.! Passionate about what he teaches!
not a boring speaker
interesting prof & course; some articles in CCW hard to understand; no trick q's
great prof who knows what he is talking, explains so that everyone understands
he's so so.. he knows what he's talking about.

Great prof and great lectures
most interesting prof. I've had so far
Excellent prof!!! Clear, helpful, funny, intelligent
He's the best! Witty, humourous, yet clear and informative! Interesting lecture
Great Prof., Great elaboration.
McCarron is great! Makes learning fun.
Excellent prof! Very interesting and informative. Great stories.
McCarron is an AWESOME prof..Seriously, he is THE BEST, clear, concise and FUNNY
He is a WONDERFUL teacher, genuine, and eager to help his students out.

best lecturer and funny guy
Great teacher!! Keeps the lectures interesting and is so funny!!!
Brilliant guy. Interesting and engaging lectures. Where else can you hear someone talk about Zygmunt Bauman, Jerry Seinfeld, Alfred Hitchcock, and Aristotle in one lecture.
Very funny. Love his jokes!

Makes you not want to miss a lecture. A good teacher but can sometimes be religiously offensive.

The BEST!!!!!!
An excellent teacher who's always willing to help the students out. ** If you get the chance to take a class with him, DO NOT pass it up! ** He's super intelligent and a genuinely good guy. Great lectures - lots of humor and insight.
Gary's awesome...I had him this semester...his lectures are engaging and informative...best professor in my two years at S.F.U....I make sure I show up every time, because if you don't, you miss a lot.

good teacher, offensive jokes, his exams are a bit vague ... not that easy.
Brilliant prof. Great lectures. So many interesting ideas to say. Sometimes makes slightly offensive religious remarks. Overall great prof!
GREAT GUY!! Very smart, entertaining and challenging...

He's soooo GOOD !!!!!
Gary is an excellent Prof. Helps you stay awake during the lectures! Most Excellent!
He was a very good prof. Very approachable and willing to help students in every way he can. The course material is very interesting. He was great but the Ta's were not.
awesome, brilliant, this guy can really teach, although lectures require distinct focus, mccarron just knows how to really talk to people and beat information into you. cmns 286 is great too, if you're interested in propaganda...
Loved his discussion on rhetoric, class seems hard but is really interesting and not so bad in the end. He has all major cmns books memorized, he's a good source of info even for other classes.
Uses unneeded profanity in his lectures. Disrespectful and overall a poor prof.
Didn't like his jokes??? Give me a break...Great prof - knows his stuff. Lectures are easy to listen to, uses humour (how many do THAT?) to break up the boring bits.
One of the best profs @ SFU!
excellent lecturer. such a funny guy. keeps you interested and entertained even though some of the topics might be boring.
He is a GREAT professor... taking such dry material and turning it into such interesting topics. He's always willing to help, even though it's not his office hours. He's over a great prof and you SHOULD take 110 with him. It's the very best!
interesting:)
Best. Prof. Ever. He managed to make lectures entertaining, yet still thought-provoking. One of the few classes where I actually found myself looking forward to lectures. Highly recommended.
good prof. TA's dont help at all and mark extremely hard.he makes info interesting.
this was a very interesting course, not hard if you do the reading. However, my TA gave 80% maximum for anything written and called it "perfect". I nearly "aced" it and still got a B+. I'm imagining the highest was A- for anyone who
a really great lecturer, seemed helpful out of class, but the exams had some REALLY obscure question/answers on them, ie. is your purpose to TEACH us or to try and TRICK us and pull a fast one?
Loved his lecture. Entertaining class. Lectures are not redundant and pointless c/ he doesn't repeat the reading asignment. Would love the class more had it not been for the health alert at the end of the semester.
Incredibly knowledgeable, articulate, and helpful. It's always neat to watch somebody speak without error as if he's reading from a monologue. He's also super friendly.
He is fantastic. his lectures are informative, clear and immensely entertaining. everyone needs to take a course with him
Overall excellent. Really interesting and funny to listen to. Personable and approachable. Very good first impression to Communications. The discussions were stimulating and his assignments were good and fair marked.
Recommended for CMNS... Gary is a good example of an intellectual who keeps up with contemporary society, in other words, a fairly good role model. His classes are in high demand. He handles 100 level teaching well, and is very approachable.
kick ass prof. one of the best courses in university.
Best prof and class ever.
he is the best prof!great lecture and interesting material.
Very intelligent, but not overly approachable. Tough. Sarcastic. Sometimes to the point of being mean.
Entertaining lectures and a very funny guy. His course is a good one to take! His midterm and final were fair but some of the assigned readings were just brutal to read.
Funny and clear. My favorite CMNS prof by far!! interesting lectures, and tests are ok if you study the material
Overall the best prof one could ask for, nice, friendly, interesting, keeps up-to-date with current events, FUNNY. Two hour lectures goes by so quick, one does not even realize two hours has gone by until he starts to pack up. Just one of those not to m
Gary is the best professor i've had so far. His lectures are interesting, and very relevant to the course. I've definitely learnt a lot from this course.

He gives a comprehensive and interesting intro to Communications. Tests and assignments are quite fair. Take this class at the same time as CMNS 130.
the best prof i have ever had. It's a fabulous course that convinced me that CMNS would be my major.
Excellent prof. Good class. I'd highly recommend it.
Very good prof. able to keep the class awake. lectures are very interesting however sometimes the topics are way to broad. There are lots of reading and most of them are not discussed in class.
Funny, explains concepts then asks the lecture hall "Did you understand that?" and usually re-explains in a different viewpoint...awesome!
He is a funny guy. His lectures are interesting in general, but you should take notes in class. Not much work for this class except for exams and one paper. Your mark really depend on the TAs. Overall it's ok.
His lectures are OK. He can be humorous at times (if you get what he means) but he talks pretty fast though. Do take notes because he doesn't post them on the web or anything. Keep up with the readings. Not a lot to do except for discussions in tutorials, a midterm, a term paper, and final.
His lectures are interesting, but since they were totally unrelated to the midterms I wound up skipping alot of his classes. The TAs have way too much control of your mark in the class. I think this class is too advanced for a first year course.
Great Prof, who can teach in an original, interesting way.
Great guy, does an excellent job with the course material. I'm going to get him a Tshirt

A very interesting lecturer, with soem lectures actually being applicable to everyday life. Amazing stuff.
His lectures are great, but never answers his e-mails.
Great Prof. Always attended lecture and understood everything because of his style.
One of my favourite profs at SFU. Interesting and funny. You can tell he really likes what he teaches. Class is like a comedy act, but still very relevant to the topics at hand.
He is such a good prof. really interesting lecture.
He uses the words "dichotomy" and "autonomous" for everything. Also, he pronounces "at all" funny
Awesome and funny guy! this course was supereasy! take it with him and you'll get an A
Very Professional, Well Structured, very Smart guy
Mccarron is such a smart professor. He really knows and likes what he teaches. He is the lecturer i've every had. Lectures without even looking at notes and always gives clear interesting examples! I wish he was the one i had tutorials with! Interesting class material as well.. loved it!
Lectures were really interesting, but the class was totally skippable since lectures don't really relate to the exams at all.
Good Prof. Lectures are ok...still don't really know what the point was though. Gary was really colorful but my TA was awful...wish he could have facilitated tutorials.
Very smart guy, very prepared, and although the lectures don't relate to the midterms, u'll find them interesting and will attend anyway, awesome. A complete **** when it comes to emails though, geez.
Favorite prof so far at SFU. Lectures and interesting and the examples he provides are useful and clear. He has a great sense of humor and overall has a very good understanding of communications and related topics. Would highly recommend this course, had a great semester with this prof.
gary is a nice guy. overall his lectures are pretty interesting. his ta's on the other hand were neither helpful nor clear in what they wanted or how they were marking.
All his lectures are pretty interesting. He really knows what he's doing. You take your own notes, and this was surprisingly more helpful then copying straight off the overhead. The first few readings are boring though.
The lectures for this course is super fun but when you have to sit down and write your own paper, most likely, you'll be stuck and become irritated. Although Gary is delighted prof, his TA was unhelpful and unclear..think before you take this course!!!!
gary is a pretty nice guy. he tries to make his lectures interesting, but at times the material can be dry. his ta's may not be as nice or as helpful as he is (remember they are the ones marking your paper).
extremely funny prof! I agree that his TA's are complete jerks. I enjoyed attending Gary's lectures but hated, absolutely hated, attending tutorials. The tutorial presentations, you will find, are useless and will probably put you to sleep.
Great prof! He makes lectures interesting with anecdotes. the course itself wasn't too hard either.

im writing this after taking a number of cmns classes and i must say garry has been one of my favorite profs! he's got some interesting stories that link to the material and his lecture is never boring, 2 hrs of lecture flew by
Great sense of humour, good lectures, clear instructions and a nice guy.
Great class. Teaching was clear and interesting.
A nice professor with a good sense of humour who had excellent lectures. Good class.
Great, clear, helpful and funny, not boring at all.
Gary is the best prof I've had so far at SFU. He's the most interesting lecturer I've ever encountered. His two hour lectures just fly by. No two lectures ever feel the same. Good teaching style, good sense of humour, knows how to keep an auditorium packed with students entertained.
Gary's lectures are wonderful to listen to because of his intelligence, wit, experience, and unassuming style; however, he is quite by-the-book and can be quite strict. He could also be more clear--talks too quickly and spends too much time on interesting, semi-related anecdotes and not enough on testable info.
As a business student, i can say that his style is different. No notes, not overheads. Buy a notebook for this class, if you don't already have one, because he talks very quickly so you need to keep up. Pretty hard class for a 1st year class, but very intersting!
very intelligent guy, word efficient so be sure to take down what he says word by word. Exam essay topics are more relating to course material articles rather than matherial in his lecture. But sometimes these 2 things are inter-related. Overall, a good interesting prof, and a not very hard course.
very interesting prof..he talks funny and the material are realli interesting that you would acutally look forward to the next lecture! Tho he talks realli realli fast...exams are not that hard ..u gonna keep up w/ the readings!
Gary McCarron is the best prof at SFU... ask anyone whose taken his class. The material is cool, the readings are long but interesting, and I HATE reading. Every lecture is different, and engaging... highly, HIGHLY recommended. For tests, make sure you know the readings well.
I would reccomend not taking this class with Gary when you are almost done at SFU. The reason is that I did and now I am staying to take a communications minor. His passion was intoxicating.
Gary is the greatest lecturer I have ever had. Really interesting. Only problem is huge class... no interaction w/ Gary only with TAs and they can be quite bad. Readings can by tough and if your TA is no good it can be hard.
Very interesting prof, and clear of his teaching. He's really nice! take it, otherwise u'll be regret!!
I have the worst attention span on the face of the earth. This prof really held my attention 99% of the time, and that says a whole lot! Excellent job, fantastic proff (best I've had so far), keep it up!
VERY interesting material, it is easy course content although it is impossible to get an A overall in the course. Covers a lot of different areas, makes you really think about things.
The Best Ever!!!! I looked forward to his lectures every week and I can't say that about many other profs. He'll make you love higher education.
The best prof in teaching you the material in the most interesting way possible. However, having a good TA probably makes your grade. Overall, the course was not too demanding.
LOVE YOU GARY! If you want to understand COmmunications at its foundations and enjoy your learning as well...it's essential you take Gary's class. He made me fall in love wiht COmmunications and lit the path for me
One of the best profs I've ever had. A brilliant person and talented lecturer. Never used notes or power point (love it!) Very funny. This is a class and a prof you don't want to miss!
He's clear and funny, and acknowledges the fact that a 2 hr lecture is tiring so he does his best to keep everyone interested which is really nice! seems like a genuine guy who is absloutely brilliant!
Good prof, interesting style of teaching. Stay away from RAHAT IMRAN - a TA for this course; she is horrible.
Favourite prof this semester...genuinely interested in his work, really friendly and most importantly NOT boring! Enjoyed his lectures very much. (For the final make sure you review lecture notes as well as text, generally the exam was not too bad)
A good prof. makes the class interesting. Stay away from T.A Rahat Imran as another person said. I'm second year, and for a first year class, the T.A and prof were Very unclear about the essay! Exams are ok, difficult to know what to study for. Not as easy as you think it is.
generally a passionate prof. mais witty and charming. material was a bit sketch.when asking for help, he just tells us to go the TA's. the main problem with this course are the TA's - they are all coming from different levels! some are wayyy too easy and some are wayyy to hard (rahat). id say this course will only be good with certain TA's
great prof. the only problem i found is that he rarely used notes and just talked for the 2 hr lecture which made it sometimes hard to concentrate on what he was saying. i never did the readings as relying on tut presentations was sufficient. tests were on the key terms he talks about in class so you really only need to understand the main ideas.
he ensures his students enjoy his class...a very reasonable professor
I mean, just to go through every comment from the first one to the last and these are all that I want to say about Gary!!!
Simply impressed by Gary !!! I take this course bcoz I don’t have a complete schedule, not for any interest. However, after taking it, I have to admit that Gary eases my pain and fear of writing and reading since English is not my first language and this is the first semester of my first year. For mid-term, I’m a little bit nervous. After MT, I alm
Gary is so funny and smart! He is able to convey information so well in dialouge that it doesn't even feel like you're learning. He is great all around!
The brillance of Gary reminds me of why I am in univeristy in the first place. I love him. I love his classes. If you go through a CMNS major without Gary you are a fool.
Gary is such an incredible man super knowledgeable, and very caring. He was my prof in my first year, and is still one of my favorite profs to this day (3rd year now) He is clear and concise, and his TA's are super helpful. Make sure to do the readings and put time into the papers. This class was awesome!
hes a good prof. only one of the few that can actually speak english. funny at times but he mumbles a lot and his tests are hard. really hard.
His voice is too low, cant really hear him
Good with his material, but talks quiet, impossible to hear him. Not very helpful during office hours, seems to be in a hurry. Exam questions aren't hard, but his expectation for answers is WAY too high for a 100 level course. Missed office hours due to his cat. Funny prof., makes material seem interesting. His TAs structures tut very differently.
A great teacher and an even better thinker. Watching Gary's mind work was a treat. However, if you're not willing to think hard, then this guy isn't for you.
Gary made this class quite interesting with all of his great examples. Tests were quite difficult for a 100 level class. TA, Graeme was extremely helpful and made the material easier to understand.
Gary is a great prof! His lectures are really interesting if you pay attention and his TA's were pretty fair with marking. Probably not the best class to take as an elective though. In order to do really well, you should be interested in the topic.
Lectures were generally interesting, but make sure that you keep up with the readings as there are several per week which will build up fast. Readings were sometimes dry but TA Jenny's tutorials were interesting and useful to help understand the material. Exams were essay-style, study a few topics in-depth rather than have a broad understanding.
Super entertaining prof. Nice guy and a great speaker. Keeps the material fresh and relevant. Staying on top of readings becomes somewhat important in exams, but how much you use the text in class and marking of papers is up to your TA.
Amazing speaker and by the far the best prof I've had at sfu. Incredibly engaging and funny. Records lectures and posts online incase you miss a class! Even the recorded lectures are captivating!
Very good speaker. Don't need to go to lecture to do well on midterm/final. And to do well on essay depends on your TA.
Great guy, fantastic speaker. Really knows how to captivate and motivate. The material isn't that difficult. Do the readings and you will be golden.
Gary is a great lecturer. He is engaging and entertaining. He posts up the slides and recordings which is very helpful. Your marks all depend on your TA because they mark your assignments. The questions are clear and understandable.
Gary is awesome. He has great anecdotes that will keep you amused and he records the lectures. Excellent prof, doesn't take much to get a good grade. Subject matter is not always exciting, its a survey course so you learn a little about lots but no crazy details about anything
Gary is a great prof! He tries to put examples into his lecture notes just so we understand. The content of the course mostly focuses on history.
Really funny and interesting, keeps students engaged.
Gary's great. Challenging class but lectures were really interesting. You'll need to invest some time into this course if you want to do well, but it's worth taking.
Only gets intersting halfway through. First 6nlectutes are boring, last 6 are great. High use of textbook.you Learn a lot, but at the end it doesn't feel like you have.
Interesting content, presented through discussions and examples. This course is very writing intensive: weekly written assignments, 10 pg term paper, and a midterm & final with 2 essays each. Requires a lot of effort for an elective; would not recommend unless willing to invest a lot of work for a course that is not easy credit.
He is really funny and nice. He has a lot of great stories. made me wanna stay in communications, not like 130 ( dead boring course about policy). Definetly a YES!!
He's a really good professor. Some of his lectures may be a bit boring but he tries to engage you.
really engaging prof, has a great sense of humor. i'd love to go for a beer with the guy haha. lectures aren't mandatory but the subject matter is pretty interesting!
He is one of those professors you love going to - an awesome guy who knows his material VERY well and always has a fun story to tell
He's a very engaging teacher. You can tell that he loves his subject and always has a funny tale to tell. My advice is to make sure you do all of the readings and to take notes on the overall article. His exams consist of 2 essays. If you know some of the readings really well and kinda know the rest of them you'll do fine.
Great professor! Lectures are always interesting and fun. Take this class!
The class is dry sometimes but it is helpful. Should understand the contents of the lecture and u will be fine.
Course material was a bit dry, but he delivered it in such a humorous way. If you keep up the reading, you will do well on this course. Definitely recommend taking it! :)
Good Prof. Although if you run in a situation where you need extra help, he will not provide any special consideration for anyone, regardless of bad they need that extra help. He does not answer emails.
This professor is not a "bit dry" he is EXTREMELY dry. He often goes off tangent for extremely long time making it hard to grasp the importance of anything. Lectures are just a 3 hour long ramble. He's a nice guy though
It's a hard course! Must go to class and listen and take your own notes! MT is hard.
VERY difficult class, but the prof is amazing. If you don't have to take 332, don't take it. I only took it cause I loved 110 with him, and I regret it. The mid term was extremely difficult and the whole philosophical aspect of the class was too much.
Good knowledgeable prof. Although if you're not a communications major/minor I don't recommend this course, as you will not gain learning to use beyond the course.
Honestly the class material is so simple that a prof isnt even needed. It doesn't even matter how he's teaching it. I read over the lecture notes a few hours before the exam and still ended up with a B. If your TA is Adam Bajan you'll do great.
Rhetoric was by no means an easy class, but that is not to say it wasn't interesting. I was really scared of the philosophical aspect in the first few weeks, but then things got interesting when you learn about the usage of rhetoric in real life.
This is one of the most boring classes I have ever taken at SFU. CMNS 110 requires a lot of reading, and the reading is super long and dry. His lectures are not always related to the readings too, so it can get a little confusing. He is a very nice guy though, and tells some pretty interesting stories.
Honestly, this professor is why I'm pursuing communication studies. He is one of the best professors I've had at SFU. The readings can be dryish, but the readings are essential to understand the course. As well, lectures are quite important, as he expands on ideas necessary to grasp an understanding of the course. If you take 110, take it with him!
His lectures are very dry and he puts an excessive amount of text on the slides. The TAs were nice but not helpful at all. This course brought my whole GPA down and it doesn't even count for WQB. It was my first communications class and it completely turned me off the whole field. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.
Took back on 09, very interesting. Great lectures.
Such an awesome professor. The course material is interesting, and the prof really keeps it entertaining. It's not an easy A type class, but it is so interesting to me that I want to put in the extra time to study. I think because of this prof, I'll pursue a degree in communications. I love going to my lectures and tutorials for this class.
Absolutely the most entertaining lectures I have ever been to. Gary is the sort of guy you would want at your holiday suppers.
Gary is a great professor. He's a really down-to-earth kind of guy, who always has something interesting to say. I would definitely recommend taking this class, and although this is the only course I have taken with him thus far, I would recommend any of the courses he teaches. Cool guy, decent class.
Gary's lectures are interesting and fun. You'll get really engage in the stories he tells!
Great teacher, easily the best prof at SFU, the way he talks to you when you approach him gives you confidence
He gives great examples to help students understand broader concepts and his exams were better than i thought ! Just make sure to read the readings and listen in tutorial very well; I feel that the grades really depend upon the TA you get since they are the ones marking your exams and term paper. But i don't recommend this as gpa booster!!
How can you go wrong with a guy that drops an F bomb right in the first lecture? Gary is engaging, incredibly intelligent, knows his stuff and passionate. He is the reason that I am pursuing CMNS. However, be prepared that he doesn't talk about the readings at all. Great prof, would highly recommend!
3rd year and he's the best prof I had at SFU. Sparks great interest when relating material to current events. Topics and approaches are modern and engaging. I wish all my communication courses were taken with this prof. Either attending lectures or completing all readings is decent for exam prep.
Gary was an amazing prof! Funny and gave many interesting examples that aided the points of the lecture. He made dry course content as easy to follow as possible, overall great prof.
He is a good professor, but his classes can be boring and long. Very easy course
I think I am in love with Gary, seriously I am really bad about skipping class- but I lived to go to Gary's lectures. He was always funny and engaging and basically possessed all the qualities one could hope for in a prof. Also, if you do the most readings you will get a good grade in the class, exam format is super fair- he wants you to pass.
CMNS has a lot of readings, duh, but the lecture is where it is at. Gary is a fantastic lecturer and has honestly been the main reason why I switched majors. He knows how to make every topic (even the dreary ones) interesting and keeps lectures entertaining. If you have trouble with anything him and his TAs are fantastic. Really recommend this one.
The online course is just mountains of reading, extremely irritating online discussions which, unless you get very lucky, you have to drag your group-mates through, and writing assignments. If you like the topic, you might like the course; if you have a passive interest, just take something with less reading because it will monopolize your time.
amazing prof, hilarious and outstanding. Ideal Prof.
Amazing prof. Inspired me to change majors to cmns. Interesting and engaging lectures. Well-informed with pop. culture. One of the best memories at SFU. Would definitely take more classes with this prof. You learn AND you have fun!
Probably the worst prof I've ever had. When I asked why my paper was graded low, he said it was because I got a low mark on my midterm. I would stay away from Gary, his lectures are pointless and boring, exams are all on the readings, which ae very dry
I absolutely loved going to his class in the morning, it literally felt like a ted talk. He makes you so engaged, and tries hard enough just to get your attention, but not so much that it's overbearing. It doesn't hurt that the TA's are extremely nice as well, and generally easy markers.
He is great. The tutorials are said to be discussions when they are not. However he is a great explainer with passion, and if he is wrong or misunderstood he admits fault instead of pulling the authority challenge. Amazing and an OG of sfu communications
At the beginning of the semester I was worried about Gary's class because it was pretty reading-heavy & the topics were hard to grasp, but Gary's lectures were really helpful and pretty interesting! He also responded to all of my emails really quickly and provided a ton of resources to help with my term paper. Would definitely take his class again
It is very easy to fall behind in this class as lectures were pre recorded and there was no tutorials. However if you stay on tasks and do the readings and check out the lecture slides you'll be fine. I would have benefited from the tutorial time, as its a class where we talk about the material and understand what's going on, other than that its ok
Dr. McCarron is a super smart guy, definitely knows what he is talking about. His lectures are actually really interesting with his enthusiastic personality and anecdotes. My only issue is that he just felt like a lecturer, not as much of an educator. CMNS 110 involves a lot of self-teaching, which isnt really his fault.
Gary is a very knowledgeable professor when it comes to rhetoric. The class topics are difficult to grasp, very heavy on philosophical theories, but if you put in work, shouldnt be too unmanageable. The weekly responses are too much work for only 2 marks. His lectures are very boring and dry, but he is a nice guy. Wouldnt say hes an amazing prof
Clearly very passionate about communications & philosophy which made the class so much better. It was obvious that he wasn't used to teaching online but made the lectures engaging and interesting. I knew nothing about philosophy before taking the course but by doing the readings and paying attention you will do fine! Overall a great prof!
His lectures are extremely engaging and interesting. He is a caring professor and his lectures are well prepared. Highly recommend this course.
Gary is funny and engages with the students. The TAs are pretty good too! Take this course if you're a good writer. Easy A!
Fantastic lectures.
took this course as a gpa booster. gary is an awesome prof and his lectures are interesting. i never did the weekly module readings and still did well. i 100% encourage you to go to your tutorials -- they were mandatory and your TA helps with your understanding of the content. take this course if you're a good writer! [spring 2022]
Funniest professor I've ever had. Holy cow! I can't believe learning can be this funny and thorough simultaneously. He has seriously raised my standards for a professor. If I could give an SFU professor an Oscar, I would immediately hand it to professor McCarron.
Gary is an amazing prof and his lectures are very interesting! The class was super easy; 2 exams, a research paper, and participation. The exams were super easy and at the time were take-home 48-hour exams, but study for the exams by reviewing readings and lecture slides
A really good lecturer he is funny and enthusiastic - would 100% recommend! The content was fairly easy just a paper and 2 exams
Gary's lectures were outstanding. Grading was fair and course topics were super interesting. Loved this class and would highly recommend him as a prof.
Very knowledgeable but hard to stay focused because his voice is really monotone.
