One of the most useful classes I have ever taken at Rutgers. I learned so much and met great connections. If you seriously want to start your own company, you need to take this class.

I was extremely interested in this class because I love marketing and I love entrepreneurship. But this class was unnecessarily difficult. He mad it harder than it needed to be. I would never recommend this class to a friend. I had A's in every other class except this one. And this was the class I put the most time into during Spring 2011.

run run run. assuming most take this class b/c they are ent minors. nice that rutgers FINALLY offers this class with another professor. i got As in every other ent class and a c in marketing. complete gpa killer. overall minkoff was a good guy but the class was an awful experience compared to the amazing experiences i had in my other 5 ent classes

Not that bad but a lot of reading and workload. It felt like another job. Do not take his intro to entrepreneurship and marketing entrepreneurship class back to back because it is a lot of work. You will get a good grade if you work hard and participate in class.

The class itself is not difficult at all. His exams/quizzes get a little tricky as they are online but overall it's easy to get a B/A in this class if you show up to each class and do good on the project.

This class is not that hard if you are generally interested in the topics. Gary is not a hard grader but he does hold his students accountable and does not just pass out A's. Overall great class and you can learn a lot from this professor.

This class can be a little all over the place. There is a group project that has the potential to suck and the final project will get you if you wait until the last minute. Professor is great and you can learn a lot from him-not a lenient grader

Best professor I had in the entrepreneur minor program. He made a lasting impact on me and taught me invaluable lessons about business and life that I will carry with me forever. He's a tough grader and will definitely challenge you, but an A is possible. He deeply cares about his students, and will serve as a mentor to anyone. Take his class!!!!

Intro to Entrepreneurship. Projects are more intensive than tests; tests are online. Good lectures, awesome guest speakers. Attendance is not "mandatory" but he has clicker questions during class so not showing up will hurt your grade, but not fail you.

Minkoff is very knowledgeable - he own his own consulting business. The class is interesting, but there is a lot of work. Two huge projects (one is in place of the final), a test, and iclicker participation. He is very specific with what he wants. Put in the effort and you will do well. Creative ideas and hard work got me the A!

Minkoff is a good guy. He kind of comes off as a know-it-all like said before but he really does know a lot. If you're serious about your venture, take him. You won't regret it. He's always there to help.

Minkoff is knowledeable, and so, naturally, if you're the type of person whose afraid to pick up a newspaper or shy away from thoughtful conversation, then you won't like him because he forces you to think. He's a great orator, but the class material seems to drag. A lot of group projects. Easy B, but the A was hard to get. (Extra Cred helped!)

Great teacher. Just do all your work on time and you will be rewarded. Amazing background with lots of experience. I learned very valuable life lessons in his Marketing class (havent taken Intro to Entre yet).

Even though I took him for marketing for entrepreneurs, he was very laid back when I took intro to entrepreneurship. I only took one midterm which was completely unnecessary as most of the work were group projects. 99% of them ended with a passing grade with lots of room for extra credit. In the end, I got an A for the semester with minimal work.

Very knowledgeable, and if you click with him he's a great guy to know. However, I find that he can be really standoffish, arrogant, and sometimes even rude. Again, if you can look past that, you will learn valuable information. I just couldn't stand him.

A great professor with a lot of experience-- in entrepreneurship and otherwise. He's very understanding of common student issues (i.e coming late). He goes the extra mile to help his students especially during the group projects. The *only* gripe I have is that there should have been a class doing examples of what was on the final bc that was hard

Professor Minkoff is challenging, but very reasonable. His classes provide real life experiences as opposed to theories in text books. Hes very firm about his policies but he's not unfair. He's definitely not the easiest professor but I feel more prepared for real life after taking his classes.

Minkoff is an amazing lecturer with so much experience and knowledge! I've learned a lot from him & will be taking him next semester too. He expects students to work, and doing so will get you an A. He is very interested in genuinely helping his students. Attendance is taken by iClicker, exams are online and there is one final group project. TAKE!

Minkoff has a lot of experience in entrepreneurship which shows through his engaging, yet challenging entrepreneurship classes. He expects his students to put in the work and effort. It is not hard to get an A in this class if you simply pay attention, go to class, and have pride in the work you present. Reasonable and approachable man! I suggest!

I've taken three of Minkoff's classes and they have all been very informative and inspiring. His exams are online. A good chunk of your grade is based off easy clicker questions. Stressful group projects, but very practical experience. He shares many quirky stories while also being knowledgeable and caring as well. My favorite teacher hands down.

Professor Minkoff has a wealth of experience in entrepreneurship and his knowledge about business and startups is prevalent in his lectures. He tries to relate his personal stories to the material taught in class and does a great job teaching the subject.

Absolutely amazing professor. Really cares about his students and makes them feel heard and sincerely loves to make sure that they learn as much as possible from his class. The biggest assignment is one group project, but only one exam the entire semester (the online midterm). Would definitely recommend him.

class is easy just show up for the clicker questions. group project is easy if you have a good group that contributes. one exam (midterm) which is online - not proctored. take for an easy A

Prof Minkoff GOAT. Sets clear expectations and is always there to help his students, especially during office hours & talking to TA (literally told my group step by step how to do well on assignments). He has extensive industry knowledge and has so much to offer to students. Ashow up to class, ask questions, go to office hours, learn & apply.

Typical business class, and if you're lucky you will be working on a client project. If you are looking for an easy grade, this class is slightly difficult, may be harder if your group doesn't do any work. Professor himself is a great resource for actual entrepreneurs, and you can network with your client companies. He makes enjoyable dad jokes.

Professor Minkoff really teaches an informative course - and drops really useful, and helpful life knowledge along with the course material. Although he might expect you to work hard for that good grade on your assignments, he is always willing to take help you out on projects if needed (especially with Tech Ventures because its all project driven)

I've never taken a class that has allowed me to experience the real life of an entrepreneur. Through a group project, you'll delve into the life of an entrepreneur by actually building a business model and consulting with real people to prove its viability, teaching valuable life skills for your future endeavors. I truly recommend this course!

Minkoff is one of the best Entrepreneurship teachers at Rutgers. He gives a decent amount of work, but that's to be expected in an entrepreneurship class. He grades fairly, provides good feedback, and gives a lot of valuable info in class that's applicable to the real world. Not a free A, but definitely try to take at least one class with him.

Gary Minkoff is one of the few professors who genuinely wants you to succeed in your career. His class really focuses on learning what it takes to be an entrepreneur, which is why he asks for a good amount of effort from his students. Take this class if you really want to learn how to succeed in the real world and not just academically.

I took Prof Minkoff for Intro to Entrepreneurship and Marketing for Entrepreneurs. They really prepare you for the real world because of the information you learn, but also because of the experiences you are exposed to. He manages to find modern examples of the subject and make things interesting with his dry, corny humor. Tough but fair! Worth it

Professor was truly inspirational. Has so much wisdom and experience that it provides students with so exceptional information from all aspects of business. I suggest all students who are current business owners, entrepreneurs, or plan on venturing in the future build a friendship with the professor. He really cares about the success of students.

Professor Minkoff is knowledgeable and passionate in his field and is willing to help students who put in the effort. He has lots of connections with businesspeople and brings them in as guest speakers. Intro to Entrepreneurship isn't difficult, but you have to work for the A. He's approachable if you have any questions.

Professor Minkoff was one of the best teachers Ive ever had. I took this class at the same I started an internship with a startup and I learned so much that made me a better intern and a better entrepreneur. He is always available to help and wants to see his students succeed. He is always around for office hours and really goes above and beyond!

Professor Minkoff really cares about his classes and his students. His goal is to make sure the classes walk away more knowledgeable in the field, and his lectures are really easy to listen to and understand. Fun, approachable prof, would recommend!

He was understanding, caring, and has a stake in the industry. The reading are expected, knowledge is checked during the midterm and later assignments. Majority of my grade was based off of a group project, which if not procrastinated, was not tasking and was rewarding. Professor Minkoff does get distracted, his overall message is meaningful.

Everything he does is for the success of his students. More so than a letter grade he wants you to leave the class feeling more prepared for the real world of business. It's not always fair nor easy but I learned so much and feel more prepared in my job and career. Def take Mng Growing Ventures you got to work with real clients on their businesses.

finance/accounting major who was looking for a concentration to take- after this class I have found it. Minkoff is a great teacher who gives a lot of feedback so that future grades improve. Assignments are many, but not overly difficult. Some assignments (like the shark tank proposal) are interesting with clear criteria. Finance people will succeed

A really helpful professor who gives you constructive feedback. The projects I have done (creating growth plans or working on BMC with engineering students) are very useful during the interview.

It's very true Minkoff may come off as having a big ego and seem arrogant but he is a very smart professor who has good personal stories that relate to the lesson. Wants students to succeed. One midterm worth 300 points (online and easy), and the rest is discussion posts and group projects. Make sure you make a good group or you are screwed.

You get out what you put in. The professor is very accessible and puts in a lot of effort for his students. But dont expect an easy A, you have to put in the effort too.

He might be the only professor who handles online teaching really well. His lectures might be a little dry but he tries his best to engage people. The 1 midterm is almost straight off the slide and exactly like the study guide he gives out. Theres a group project but he sets up a "networking event" so you can choose your group.

Minkoff is really accessible like hell give you his # to call him if you need help on an assignment. Theres a group project but hesreally helpful with bad team members so don't worry your grade won't be affected by that. After the midterm the classes are all group meetings but if u use that time to meet w him hell tell u exactly what to do for an A

He does get kinda defensive if you talk about his tching & grading ways but thats no biggie. How often will u need to is the real question. He is always prepared for class always encourages students to ask questions and answers all of them! He is organized & hilarious. The group projects assigned were easy & creative. You WILL learn & enjoy it too!

Intro to Entrepreneurship is a great course that everyone with an interest in business should take. Minkoff is a fantastic professor that ties in his own unique entrepreneurial experiences into the course. He also loves to help out students outside of class, pushing them to be even better entrepreneurs. Take his classes, you won't regret it!

I really enjoyed the effort and work Professor Minkoff puts into his courses. The way he is able to relate outside topics and go into depth into certain industries and is absolutely captivating. His courses are especially useful for people interested in learning more about entrepreneurship and can be applied to people from various backgrounds.

Professor Minkoff was an amazing professor. He is a very kind man and quite funny as well. There aren't too many assignments, so I was kind of scared of what to expect when there were assignments. He allows the class to think critically for themselves, and for what he's teaching I think it's valuable. Make sure to communicate with him and peers!

Professor Minkoff really cares about his students and want them to succeed. Whenever I had any questions, Professor Minkoff was extremely accessible inside and outside the classroom. He is always willing to meet with his students during Office Hours and was incredibly understanding. Highly recommend, he's a great guy and even better professor.

Most of the grade depended on a group project so be sure to pick your group members wisely. I counted up my points and I was supposed to earn a B+ but received an A, so there was some curve which was nice. He knows exactly what he wants for assignments in his head but is unable to convey it clearly. Ask a lot of questions, he is accommodating!

By far one of the nicest professors that I have ever had. He really cares about the course and really wants to make sure you succeed. Grading is a little harsh, however. Half your grade is a group project in which most people got around a 70. Other than that, assignments were easy and midterm was a piece of cake. Overall great professor/good class.

Professor Minkoff is an amazing professor. I have learned so much from him. He uses real-world, fun examples that are easy to connect to how to start up a business. He is very easy to talk to and get to know. I have built a great relationship with him and really cares about his students. You have to try in his class, you learn so much useful info!

Prof Minkoff made this big campus feel a little bit smaller. He is an honest grader if you do the work. If you slack off, it will be apparent and you will not get the desired grade. He encourages class participation and his lectures are very relatable. READ THE TEXTBOOK! If you don't, you won't do well on the midterm. 10/10 recommend :)

Tough class but only because Entrepreneurship is tough. Prepares you well with a group project with an actual company where you do the same things any consulting company would do for a business to help them grow. He can be nitpicky at times but it's because he cares and offers great feedback. I would take him again.

Amazing immersive project and supportive mentorship. Great for non-business students too since rewarding experiences prep everyone w/ critical thinking skills, resourcefulness, scrappiness, and "entrepreneurial spirit" that many jobs look for. Appreciated challenge to learn and grow. "A" is not easy but possible and rewarding. One of fave classes.

Professor Minkoff is a challenging but very rewarding professor. If you are interested in entrepreneurship, Professor Minkoff's class is the best one for you. The grade you get reflects exactly what you put into the class. There is only one online exam, and the rest of the class is a group project that allows you to explore your own venture.

Professor Minkoff was a great professor overall. Most of the grade was dependent on a group project which wasn't too difficult. Just make sure to meet with him frequently throughout it. He gives a lot of feedback which is essential in scoring well. His lectures were entertaining as he connects stuff to the real world. Attendance was taken.

Watch the deadline and due dates, part 1 will be due 2 days before part 2. The TAs will knit pick anything to take points off on homeworks. A lot of his personality is being the mayor. The group project is alot of work but manageable if you have good teammates. 1 midterm online and no final which is nice. I did learn a lot overall.

Professor Minkoff was the best professor I had in the Entrepreneurship Minor program. I took Marketing before I'm going to take Intro to Entrepreneurship. The midterm was easy, and the group projects were very interesting to me. I highly recommend him!
