The guy is a good teacher and will help out anyway he can.

Oesch is a great teacher. I had him for abnormal, intro, consumer, and abnormal psychology and came out with A's in all them. The classes are interesting and he's a very open-minded guy. The test are long 100 question test, but the answers are all in the books.

Dr. Oesch was an awesome guy! I had him for both Human Sexuality and Intro to Psychology. You learn so much in his classes that you never even knew was possible. His tests are long but they are all take home and he usually gives you 1-2 weeks to finish them. He is a lot of fun and his classes are very interesting. I would recommend him.

Attendence is mandatory!! Make alot of friends on the first day, then split up the take home tests between yourselves=] Oh & don't put your semester work off till the last day! This was my first internet class and I feel like I made a good choice! He give long tests but you have 1-2 weeks to do them and you get 2 chances to do his quizzes. He offers extra credit which I did but didn't even need it for the A! I recommend him!

Good professor & knows his stuff. He will keep you interested. He does require you to think so for some people his tests may require more work. Second class with him - much easier knowing how he wants you to think once you get to know him better.

I took this class online and as long as you read the material and look at the powerpoints that he makes you will get a good grade. The test questions came directly from the material and the powerpoints. There is opportunity for extra credit if needed, but if you do the aboe this will not be needed.

If you need a psy class take this professer, his class are actaully entertaining, he makes lame jokes sometimes but they can be funny, hes not a normal teacher and will actaully teach you thinks you'll need. All test are take home. Do the tests and show up and you'll get an A

This class is an easy A if you put some type of effort into it! Aside from a gordon rule paper, your grade is based on a few tests that you take at home online.Super easy and pretty interesting.

I took this class online. I loved and learned a lot from it. It's an easy A if you read the book and watch all of the videos. If you don't get an A it's because you weren't trying.

Take home test's, usually four. Gives students two weeks to complete. The test can be challenging, but you do have two weeks. If taking abnormal psych, get the DSMV.Attnedance not mandatory but you get 5 points every class for attendance.

I love Oesch, he makes me want to major in Psychology.

I took his class online, super easy, and you could sit down and get it all down if you want! just one paper due any topic you want. and he gives you extra credit! quiz answers were in the notes. i didnt even buy a book, i just used the notes!

Dr. Oesch is super, super helpful and friendly--he responds promptly to questions, offers EC assignments, and is always happy to help you out. The only less than favorable aspect about Intro to Psych (online) was that the tests were inconsistent--some 100% from notes, some book material we hadn't yet covered. Overall, love him as a prof. though!

Very good teacher. Class was laid out very well. Tests are all online and can be worked on. Almost all answers are in power points he provides.

Well organized class. A total of 15 lessons that go along with the text. Each lesson has a powerpoint and videos. There's a Quiz for each lesson that can be taken twice and three multiple choice exams. Also, one 2000 word research paper on a topic of your choice. Turnitin used for submitting paper. Overall, great class and great professor! :)

Dr. Oesch is an awesome professor! He knows his stuff and is VERY experienced in his field. I took him for Intro, Child Psych, and Human Sexuality because he is THAT good of a professor. One of PHSC's FINEST instructors BY FAR. Tests aren't hard but skimming the chapters and coming to class will ensure an A+.

Reads from a powerpoint the majority of class, they're online. You are graded on attendance, but I missed a few classes and it wasn't detrimental. He's funny. 4 take home tests, 100 questions, they're tough but he gives you at least a week. We watched a lot of videos . Overall he's a great prof! Taking him again next semester.

TESTS ARE TOUGH

I had him for Intro to Psychology ended up enjoying him so much I took his Abnormal and Forensic Psychology as well as his Human Sexuality class. He gives great lectures but the tests are very difficult (even though they are take home). He is very funny, if you have the chance to take any of his classes don't pass it up.

VERY interesting lectures and hes a nice guy. 3 tests online, two weeks to do them. Offers extra credit. 1,500 word writing requirement, but he has options. Attendance is graded, but its a very small grade. Would take again for sure.

Dr. Oesch is an awesome teacher! He gives extra credit, and is always willing to help you with questions in the class. If he wants more information on a hw ? he will let you correct it and resubmit. No teacher does that! Also he lets you take quizzes twice if you want to try for a better grade, again no teacher does that! Take him. It is an Easy A!

Great introductory psychology class. I took the online version. There is a lot of reading. Informative power points. Pertinent videos. Clear syllabus, due dates, and grading criteria. Offers extra credit, too. Would definitely register for any of his classes again.

There's a lot of reading, lecturing, and powerpoints though in his Intro class, but overall I enjoyed it! He's a very kind person, and is willing to help if you need it. He also gives extra credit. He also allows open book and notes for for his tests.

Teacher offered plenty of chances to make the grade, second chance to retake quiz, extra credit assignments, and gives you as much time as you need on assignments. DOES NOT except late work, but gives weeks to do it. sends reminders to students weekly on what is due. GREAT TEACHER.

Took him originally as a mandatory class, then also took adolescent psychology with him. I genuinely learned a lot in this class and enjoyed the lectures. The work is very minimum and easy for the most part.

I have taken Mr. O for two psychology classes and I love having him as a professor. His lectures are interesting and the videos he shows in class are very entertaining and informative and interesting. Gives take home tests and gives you easy journals to write. You can't fail his class unless you really don't do anything.

I recommend this instructor to everyone I know who is available to attend the East Campus. He replies to emails extremely quickly, will give you guidance on your essays, and his lectures + videos are very interesting. He is not a hard grader and offers many chances for extra credit. The textbook was also not needed which is a plus.

Awesome teacher! Assignments and tests actually matched what was learned in class. USE YOUR TEXTBOOK since those questions are on the tests. Pretty simple grader - he doesn't have any weird loopholes and actually gives good feedback.

2nd class of his I've taken. I have never had a more encouraging professor than him. Classes dont get easier than his. He is always available with any question you have and will help you with anything. He will always be my favorite professor. Thank you Dr. Oesch for everything!

He is an amazing professor. He gives you two weeks to do the tests online and he gives you you're essay information at the beginning of the semester and you have almost four months to do it. He grades you on if you show up for class. He explains things really clearly and helps you whenever you need help. He responds to your questions quickly.

If you want to work in mental health you HAVE to take Oesch. He is one of my favorite teachers. He does not make his classes very hard so there is no way to not pass. He is extremely fair. He actually taught me a lot of things and he is the best psychology teacher that PHSC has hands down.

Prof Oesch is one of the best teachers I have had. He is a rare gem you will find in teaching. He wants and helps his students succeed. The work was manageable and he gives you 2tries on the quizzes. Exams are 95-100 questions, but he allows you to print them and work on them over a 2week period. Extra credit is available. He is a must have teacher

Dr. Oesch is an amazing instructor. His lectures are a little long, but he gives tells you what will be on the exams. His extra credit is easy to do. He gives you an option on doing a term paper or article summaries. He is one of the best overall instructors I have taken, and I have already signed up for more of his courses.

Professor Oesch is great! He really gives all the materials necessary to pass the class. There is a quiz and instructor questions for each chapter and then tests for every few sections, but they are not hard with the materials present.

He isn't a bubbly fun professor, BUT he grades work almost instantly and he give lectures about the work to help you understand. He provides feedback and ensures you understand the work. His test and exams are easy and even with little effort you can pass!

I didn't have much interaction with Mr. Oesch because it was an online course, but I really liked this class. The topics are fascinating and something anyone in the world would benefit from knowing. These topics are relevant in everyday life. There's a lot of reading, but the course isn't particularly hard otherwise. Take it.

not much work. attendance is a grade the zooms are just boring has cool stories here and there. there's like 4 test their like 90 questions long, 1hr to complete but they're on quizlet/google. 1 term paper for 2000 words, or if you get 1500 words on the paper, you can do a couple of 200 word article summaries to get to 2000 words in total. Easy A.

He is very understanding. As long as you are there to learn and want to be there, then you will pass the class. If you don't pay attention or take notes you wont pass.

This professor was a very easy grader. The online psych course was very manageable as well. The whole course consists of 15 chapters, each requiring an easy quiz and a small (5-8 questions) writing assignment answering very simple questions. Every due date is also about every 3 weeks. Recommend this class for an easy A! Extra credit opportunities.

He is so nice !

Man, I would not recommend it as a summer class. I mean, there is a block with eight hours of lectures. The revel textbook is mind-numbing but still workable. If I were to take again would defiantly take it in a 15-week block; just for ease but it's nice to have it done quickly with a B. Don't get me wrong there is good info but a lot of fluff.

He does do lots of lectures but they are good especially if you ask questions. He is very knowledgeable. He does two cool projects and they are very interesting having to do with crime scene investigation. He likes to have fun with things as long as you pay attention and respect each other.

Great professor when supplying us with the material but long lectures that turned into nap time most often

Honestly this was one of the sweetest professors. Class was just right as a starter course. Provided extra credit, also offered corrections to get a better grade. He definitely wants to see you succeed on your school and career choice. Wish every class could be with him. Even his lectures were informative and overall very easy to comprehend.

As long as you show up and participate, tests are not difficult and have retakes so you should be set. Loved hearing about his previous work experience that applied to the class!

Very good professor. Had a class on monday mornings when everyone was still tired from the weekend and he always came in excited and in a good mood. Attendance was for a grade. Anytime I needed help throughout the semester he always helped me out. Would definitely recommend.
