Dr. Solomon is an amazing, eccentric man. Besides a teacher, he is the author of a number of books, which he'll surely mention... ;P His class is a breeze, and a riot if you're not squeemish to racy discussion topics, and some obscenities ^^ this is a GREAT class

This is the greatest professor of all time. He makes going to college stress free and fun. I recommend him to everyone I meet. He's a really nice, caring, not to mention funny, person. And he helps students who are having troubles in their own lives. I definitely give him two thumbs way up! ^-^

easy as hell. dont need to pay attention in class. final was too easy, a middle schooler could have gotten an A. only thing that sucks is the final which you can probably BS and get an A anyway.

This is the best teacher in the department. He doesn't stress you out or bore you to death with a lot of needless statistics. He makes his class practical and useful. Professor Solomon is a wonderful professor! The class is stress free. There is absolutely no homework. He outlines the book for you and tells you what will be on the final. The class has no quizzes, no tests, just an APA formatted paper (on a topic he chooses) one final at the end of the semester. If you attend every class you are guaranteed a C.

Three of my friends on the baseball team with me got A's in his class and my friends are dumb. This professor is really easy.

This class is fabulous.

Dr. Solomon is fabulous! He is absolutely out of control (in a good way!) He knows that 99% of the students are only taking Psy 101 because it is required. You are guarenteed at least a C if you show up, turn in the paper and take the final. It is practically impossible to fail this class! It's Psy put into real world application. Two thumbs up!

Solomon is an amazing proffesor. So far his class is very interesting and not difficult at all. Only one assignment and midterm. I am loving this class!!!

This class is an awesome class. It's fun, and exciting, and Dr. Solomon seems to understand and relate to all of his students. He knows when we get bored, and will crack a quick joke to get our attention again. It's super easy to pass, with only a final paper (under 3 pages) and a midterm. Both of which you don't even have to try on to get a C!

TAKE THIS CLASS! He is one of the BEST teachers I have ever had. You look forward to going to his class and you have a good time there. He makes you think, "Outside the box" and he makes you look at things in another way. His lectures are great and fun to listen to. The best part it is a easy A.

Dr Solomon is the best teacher I have ever had. He is different in the aspect of grades and teaching. He believes its not the grade that proves whether or not you learned something, but rather that he hasn't done his job if you haven't left with a better understanding. this class disappointed me a little because i took his 101 class and thought it was amazing. he basically lets the students teach by having groups do 2 1/2 hr presentations on certain subjects. 1 paper. if you show up u cant get lower than a C

Dr. Solomon is the only teacher I have ever had that allowed me to stay awake for the full time. He is an amazing and hot professor and wish he taught every subject. Ha. He makes his class fun to learn in and the content we learn is class is very ineteresting also. Take his clas, you wont be disappointed. :)

Gary is not someone I plan to forget. He was simply brilliant and I am shocked to read some postings about him. But I can understand how his honesty and outspoken ways could throw the average person off. Def a course I am happy to have taken, I learned more than any text book I have ever read. If you want an adventure and out of the box thinking;

I really enjoyed Gary. This class is an easy "A". We had no tests and no final. Just one research paper at the end and one group project (powerpoint lasting about 2 1/2 hours) don't let that scare you. The time goes pretty fast.

Amazing guy. 2 Phd's, 2 masters degrees. His class might be the highlight of my week, some may call him a devil's advocate, but he is really fascinating. He will make you really think, about EVERYTHING, and also outside the box. I have learned so much, and only had to do a very short,easy paper and a final,and was gave answers prior. Extraordinary!

Great Person! Only 2 things to do all semester: a paper and the final. Must come to class though. Has semester party at his house. Down to earth. Glasses look like Harry Potter. Note to the wise read up on mind games/brain teasers because he does alot of them!

When i had my first class with Dr. Solomon, he was interesting and explicit with how he taught. He gives you outside the box challenges and he makes you feel stupid afterwards haha.. Overall, the final wasnt too hard and the researchwas so easy all you really have to really do is come to class Im goin to his end of semester class party, hopefully:)

This man completely sparked my love for Psychology. His textbook is free (its online) and there is only one essay due. Attendance is mandatory, but he is so interesting that you actually want to go to class! The topics he covers are all relevant, and he is very open minded.

This class is not for the people that like structure, or want to know their grade prior to class end. A great class to listen to anecdotes from students and the teacher alike. I feel as though I don't belong in this "storyteller" class...I want bookwork for once. He does provide the internet book for free though. I would love to debate him...

One of the best professor I have had in a long time at CSN.

Greatest prof I have ever had. Take this class! His mantra is "You are not your grade" which clearly says something about his teaching style. He wasn't concerned with grilling you and making you life hell, he was concerned with teaching you something real. He seriously taught me how to think outside the box. Amazing course! Oh and free book!

Oh Solomon... I took him for 101 and 241. Does that say anything? This is one of the most incredible professors I have ever come into contact with. He makes everything interesting, and makes you want to come to class. The entire class always has a wonderful time, and half of them become Psych majors because of him! Class is mandatory though!

Honestly one of the best professors. Extrememely interactive and hillarious. I felt like I was at a comedy show for 3 hours (although we rarely stayed that long) rather than a class. NO homework and one essay. Easiest A of my life and entertaining too!

I love this professor! The only class I enjoy going too. His lectures can be disturbing, however they are eye opening. No work other than one paper, and the final. Walks you through the whole thing. You receive a C no matter what as Long as you attend every class.

Not a class for narrow minded people. This class is for critical thinkers. However, Gary is very opinionated so always question what he says. Don't be so gullible. Overall, Gary is amazing! Don't take psychology unless it's with him. He doesn't bring up the past, but talks about current news relative to the subject

Awesome teacher! He teaching style is very clear and interesting and it will be the only class that really craws you in day-by-day. If you are a Psych major I wouldn't recommend him because he doesnt teach standard 101 material. No one can fail as long as he/she attends his class as assigned.

I'm very sad today was my last day in solomon's class. I highly recommend taking his class! There is only one paper due the entire semester. This is a think-outside-the-box class.

This is not a traditional course. Solomon's "teaching style" is heavy on empty lectures and tedious discussion. He proposes that you "think outside the box" without any guidance on how, he's also very opinionated, and sticks to his side on things. He likes to gauge people's reactions to things and is somewhat condescending and presumptuous.

Easiest teacher that I have ever had! Literally only expects you to show up to class and listen. Requires a 1 page research paper for the final according to his specifications that he details to the class. If this is followed, you will receive an A. Does not believe in textbooks. Demands you THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX :).

He was my professor for PSY 101 and thought he was awesome so took him for PSY 241 and he was awesome again. Definitely not a traditional teacher. Doesn't give out homework except for a research paper and a group project. I actually learned a lot in this class and would recommend it to anyone :)

Best teacher I have had at CSN. We had to research and present on a specific psychiatric diagnosis. Great sense of humor. Made me feel better about myself.

Dr. Solomon has been the most inspiring,and empowering professors I had ever met. His compassion for the students and passion for psychology clearly shows throughout the semester.Iam saddened to hear he had to resign, but I understand and support his decision. I miss Dr. Solomon very much, he was one of the most inspirational people I've had the honor to come to know, and it deeply saddens me that he left the college. Solomon cared about all of his students and his final hurrah for all of us was a beautifully orchestrated boycott of the college to defend our rights. CSN's greatest treasure by far.

This was by far the easiest class I have ever had in my college education. You literally learn nothing and still get an A. If your a slacker this was the class to take. Lowest grade he gave students was a C that's if you choose not to do the APA style paper he assigns. Unfortunate he is no longer with the school anymore. Great professor
