I took his class years ago. He is the coolest professor on campus.

Great guy, will help you out. Might come off as intimidating, but trust me, if you talk to him personally...he is really nice, fair, and honest. I would suggest taking this one!

Excellent teacher. Lectures can be kinda boring but he spices it up because he loves what he does. A great teacher with great enthusiam and love for Tech.

This is a man with passion. I hung on every word of the lecture. The class is easy. You learn so much more than you pay for if you attend class and be attentive.

He's really kewl guy. Very down to earth professor. Recommend him to everyone. He really knows what he's talking about and it shows.

One of the best teachers here at La. Tech. You don't even realize that you are learning when he teaches. No need to study you learn what you need to by paying attention in class.

Dr. Stokley was my (official) advisor while I was at Tech.He is one of the few teachers I had that actually made me want to attend class, even that 8AM Research Methods!Go to class, make an effort and you will do fine.Eager and willing to help those who help themselves in their education.A++++

main topic is sports? wtf? I had this guy and I hardly heard him talk of sports. He is one of the best teachers that I've had, or atleast better than most of the other jack asses that teach here. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

he was funny and interesting. he ventured off the subject a lot. he takes attendance, so you have to show up. his tests were old and easy, but you have to study the book. he has a lot of intereting stories. i thnk he is ok.

He is the best teacher I have ever had!!!!!

I took this class as an elective. It was the easiest class I've ever had. There were tons of athletes in there. I didn't read a damn thing or take notes and got an A. I also missed about 5 classes. If you don't love that, you're crazy.

A True Teacher. He really cares about the student.

He's a really nice guy, but boring. He is helpful, but he just talks about himself the whole time. Take him if you don't mind staying the entire time, every time to listen to his personal stories. You barely can get through 1 slide per day. The good news is, his tests are really easy to get. Everyone can usually get their hands on a copy.

Easy, easy, easy. He love athletes. He is a very nice guy but his class can be boring. I rarely took notes and rarely came to class and I got an A. If you don't miss a lot of class, you're guaranteed an A. Highly recommended

Loved his class, not hard at all. Wants students to do well and test are not difficult. Loves to talk about himself, but most of the stories are really interesting, so its not a bad way to spend a couple of hours.

I made a B and missed 3 classes and didnt really study. He is a very interesting person and doesnt mind using his own life situations as examples in the lessons. Gives bonus! I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Ok, so he tells a lot of stories. But here's the thing...HIS STORIES HAVE A POINT!! Stories are a way of teaching that helps people remember...the greatest teacher of all time told parables (AKA STORIES) to his followers.If I hear one more person complain about Dr. Stokley's stories I think I'll scream!He's a great teacher who cares about students.

Possibly the easier teacher at Tech. You can turn if stuff weeks late to this guy and he takes it AND gives you full credit! I got an A without even opening the book. Some of his lectures and stories are very interesting also.

I got so tired of hearing how he was under payed and under appreciated. The class was easy but he was so boring.

Sure, take him, he's pretty easy. . . but OMG! I don't know how anyone can stay awake in there! And im not even in his morning class!!! He veers off the lecture with lots of life stories (sometimes interesting, usually not very). Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy though! But definitely expect to read the material in the book on your own!

Professor stokley is really opinionative... and veres off the subject alot.... has 3 test.... u must buy the book .... very lenient..... funnnnnnny... u would really like him alot.....doesnt have much homework....and he will accept ur work late as long as u have it but it must be timely....

Very good teacher for a lecture, he keeps his class interesting and is a funny man. I enjoyed his stories and gained more knowledge from his stories rather than the book. 3 tests but not hard. highly recommended.

Ventures WAY off subject, which was entertaining the first couple of days. It gets old fast, esp since he spends the majority of the time talking about past experience rather than teaching what you will be tested on.

Dr. Stokley is a great teacher! He allows laptops and gives plenty of bonus opportunities. His 2 hr lectures can be boring at times, but it's nothing to complain over. If you study the online quizzes you are guaranteed an A! There are only 2 tests; I failed the first and passed the class with an A! -that's how easy he makes it. I highly recommend!!

Dr. Stokley is a strange, strange man...but I do recommend that you take his class. He gets off subject a lot and tells many stories, but it is very easy to make an A in this class. He is nice but very opinionated... you've been warned!!

Stokley cares more about teaching than any other professor I have ever had. He works with students like no other. He uses stories but clearly relates them to his lecture content. He is funny and will keep you curious to what he might say next. A very understanding professor that works with any student as long as you attend class and communicate.

Take this guy. You'll be happy you did. He teaches you about life. He was my advisor, and I love him. He'll do anything for anybody. Just go sit in his office for 3 mintues and you'll want to be a sociology major

He is extremely helpful. His tests are easy if you study the notes and read. He makes it interesting and has stories for everything. Be preparded to hear about his sex life and his views on things. He's very open. I love his class. (My mom did too when she went here. If that gives you an idea of how old he is. haha)

Anyone who can not pass one of Stokely's classes is incredibly lazy and does not want to earn a grade, they want it given to them. Stokely is a very smart man, who if you actually LISTENED to his stories, attempts to put concepts into lamens terms so that you understand them. 1 of the most understanding teachers at Tech. He Cares about his students

Dr. Stokley is a great instructor who understands that teaching is more than simply telling someone what to do. He encourages thought. If you want someone to tell you to memorize something, you should probably find another instructor if you want to have your views challenged and thoughts provoked, he is a great teach for the job.

He's the best of the best. Come to class, pay attention, and receive your A.

So far, my favorite professor at Tech. He's more like a great friend than a professor. He's extremely popular throughout the Tech campus. He should be retiring soon, which i am very sad to hear, but his legacy that he has made here at Tech will live on.

Take him if you can.
