God professor, passed all of his tests which is good for me! He takes time to explain things to you if you don't understand, but won't tolerate talking in his class. Look at his tests in the library, they help.

I took this class during summer. I expected it to be completely hard, but it helped to take it then. We did no word problems what so ever! Nothing compared to 1311. He is a really good professor, just study the tests he puts in reserve. The majority of the tests he gives are the same problems. He also gives attendance points when you attend.

NO ATTENDANCE POLICY!!! Gives extra credit just for showing up to his class, teaches material in a very understandable way...even for those of us to whom math is a foriegn language...

Very Clear!, Helps alot, and a very nice guy. Don't talk while he is talking he will call you out in front of the 500 people in the class. Take him!!

I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs help in alg. I had dropped alg twice times at my jr coll but when i got him my first semester here a light bulb came on. I ended up making a B and he really does go step by step

EASY EASY EASY!! Definitely take this professor. He is the best teacher ever! If you are a math whiz or a math dummy, this class is easy. Anything you might get confused about, he clears it up right away. The homework is through mymathlab-EASY. He drops the lowest test grade and you get 3 chances to correct the homework. I just wish he taught chem!

Okay, it's a math class; not a cake walk. I got an A in this class, but you still have to study. But he is so cool and he really explains the material. He's really funny, too. The My Math Lab is an online homework assignment, but it's very helpful.

I suck at math. This guy made it understandable. Skipping class NOT recommended, but you get points for attendence. MyMathLab software and the dropped test grade are both VERY helpful. He has little patience for talkers in class, but is a funny guy.

He is soooo awesome. Math is math, but overall i would def take him again. He cares about your grade, and that is rare in college professors. He lets you out early in class every day. He is a good choice for math 1315. Really nice guy.

If you really try in there and do the homework and get the attendance bonus it will help your grade alot. If you have any questions or are concerned about your grade talk to him and he'll try to help.

Great Professor! I suck at Math and have dropped college algebra before. He is amazing! I took him during the summer and made an A in the class. Just go to class and do your homework. He keeps his old tests in the library. I even missed a few times and still did well. He is by far the best math teacher I have ever had.

I took Calculus my first semester and had to drop it because it was hard to understand. With this prof it was a breeze. He tells you the basics of a concept and builds from that. Quizzes are open note, tests aren't that hard if you know the material. Great Professor!

I took his class over ten years ago but he was so amazing that I felt I owed him this back. So if you need to take Algebra take him and he will get you thru this class. Glad to see he is still teaching.

He's one of the better math teachers I've had. Goes through the material at a even pace. You can ask questions during his class, even leave if you want. Gives extra points for being in class though. Sometimes skips steps when solving, but all you need to do is ask. The MathLab helps a lot. Tests aren't hard, but practice math questions. Study.

I hate algebra! He was such a great teacher though. He made everything simple and it was such an easy A. He gives you a point of extra credit for everyday that you show up to class and drops your lowest test grade. It's pretty impossible to not pass, and super easy to get an A. Awesome teacher!

Easily one of the best teachers I've had - in ANY subject. I was terrible at math and was nervous about taking this class. But, he's passionate, knows his audience, and wants to see students succeed. Go to class to get extra points, and do your homework. You'll definitely do well!

He was extremely easy. he has no attendance policy that goes against you. you actually get points for going to class. his homework is all on the computer and ur able to take them until you get a 100 (he even opens them all up at the end). his test are all mulitple choice and are almost identical to the practice tests he gives you a week in advance.

I don't know why anyone could not pass this class, he is incredibly easy and helpful, this coming from someone who failed math1315 at a jr college. Even if you do have disabilities you should still average a B! Theres no excuse to not get an A!

He was a really good teacher. I learned a lot and he breaks down each problem so you can understand it better. His tests are pretty easy, just study his problems and you'll do fine. I really thought I did horrible and I was afraid to get my grade back but I made a B overall.

This guy is very easy. Definitely take him if Math is not your strong point. Just do the online homework and study the notes from class and you should get an easy A or B.

Great Math teacher..I took him for Pre Cal 2417 and was great. Extremely helpful and tries to explain everything.

I can prove how it is not possible to pass. I went to majority of the classes but the only problem I had was the online homework.It makes it easier to not go to class because you think you can learn online. It helps in a way but even so, the problems don't really prepare you for the test. I am also terrible at math and not being motivated sucked.

Math isnt exactly my strongest subject but the tools given to you are right there. If you do the homework it explains EVERYTHING that you didnt understand. Tests are available to print out in the library(1st-3rd, final is comprehensive), Grading system is a point system. Your grade depends on your studying so dont expect to slack.

TAKE THIS CLASS!!! Mr. Z is sooo nice and his clas is pretty easy...on his first 2 tests I got a 75 but i got A's on the last one and his final and I only went to class about half the time...I STILL pulled an A in the class!! TAKE HIM..I swear by him!

Great guy, great professor. Algebra is not my strong point, but I managed a solid B in his class. He rewards good attendance & goes over the exams the following class period. If you don't understand something, he's willing to answer it. Also, I suggest him for any older students who can't work a graphing calculator. He will teach you how to use it!

Great class. He is a nice, easy going guy. He is a little repetitive but that is just to get the material into your head. If you have any problems he provides a lot of help. He isn't always that clear and will leave you behind sometimes but he gives you many chances to come see him before class for help.

Mr. Z is a really good teacher. I recommend him for anyone who struggles with math, if you have a Q you can stop him and he'll help you till you understand, even with a class of 350. He gives EC for attendance and holds study sessions for test. He doesn't use the book but he uses MathLab which is a really helpful computer program.

He is a good teacher that gives you a chance at a really difficult subject. He drops one test and counts all the quizzes and homework as a test grade at the end, so do good and take advantage of that. Attendance is not required but if you miss more than like one you will be extremely behind because he moves fast. Overall a good teacher.

My most favorite professor at TSU so far! He's so helpful, easy to understand, and willing to help you in any way to get you to do well. I highly recommend him to anyone that hates math!

Easy class. homework is an easy 100 and a free 60 points of the 360. also he gives you extra points based on your attendancce. drops your lowest test out of the three but not the final and is very helpful. if you do the practice test he sometimes pulls questions from there and puts them on the exams. I would recommend him for any math course

Good professor, tough class. One of the classes that you'll have to show up to no matter what. In his class, attendance is not mandatory but it's highly recommended because every time you sign in he adds points to your grade at the end of the semester. Also, there's quizzes and homework that are due. He drops the lowest test also.

Took MATH1329 (Business Calculus) from him. Great professor. He teaches clearly but doesn't take crap from anyone and will speak frankly with you.

He is the BEST teacher in the MAth department!! He will help anyone who does not understand and will not proceed until everyone understood! You have to attend class to understand the material, you can not just read the book. This was one of my best classes in college! I actually had him for ALL my math classes and made an A so I highly recommend!

Best math teacher I've had in a long time. Clear speaker, clear directions, and lots of examples. Homework every week on mymathlab. 3 tests and a final, drops lowest test grade. Extra credit for attendence, 18 points to final grade! Doesn't keep you in class long enough to put you to sleep and is kinda funny!

I took him for Algebra as well as business calc and he is an aweseome teacher he explains everything and tells you exactly what to study test he also has an awesome grading scale so even if you get a C on all the test you can still get an A if you simply go to class and do your homework but even if you dont do the homeowrk you can easily make a B!

He is a great college algebra professor. I have failed college algebra once, and attempted it at least three times. I took his class fully dedicated and passed with an A no problem. I didn't even have to take my third test. I HIGHLY recommend him. He's awesome & saved my GPA.

Very good prof. Very clear, has office hours before extra office hour right before class which is insanely helpful in the summer. Advertises study groups. Really cares that we know the material and is not nitpicky about what method we use as long as it works. Very nice, very helpful and very fair.

All semester long he told us "you can't go wrong in here" pertaining to the ability to solve problems of course but to me that rang true when I of all people actually passed algebra with a C! I am an older student an have not had math in about 15 years and it was NEVER my strong point to begin with and Zielinski got me to understand enough of it to pass with the C I needed. It was still tough, don't get me wrong and I worked hard every day on homework but it paid off in the end.

TAKE ZIELINSKI. If you are a math hater like myself you won't go wrong taking his class. There are so many opportunities for you NOT to fail. I really love this class.

He is a GREAT professor! He breaks everything down, he is clear, and he will go out of his way to make sure you understand. 3 exams + final. A bunch of quizzes but he only takes the average of the best 10 & counts it as a test grade (drops all the other ones). He also drops the lowest test grade! 1 of the best math professors I've had. He is very cool. Knows what he's talking about. Tests are kind of hard if you don't go to class because every day is new material. The way he does grades is helpful. He drops the lowest of the tests and whatnot.

Attendance is basically optional, he adds the points to your final grade if you do come. SI sessions are constantly scheduled. Homework is online and can be done over and over until you get the right answer for a 100%. If you fail this class, you shouldn't be in college.

Hands down the best professor I've ever had. I'm not that good at math, and his class was by far the easiest of the semester. He is super easy to listen to, gives extra credit for attendance, drops the lowest test grade, and lets class out at least 20-30 minutes early. TAKE HIM FOR MATH. Nice guy and great teacher.

He is an AMAZING teacher, by far the best teacher I had for the entire semester. I would reccomend him to anyone. 18 extra points just for showing up to class. He drops the lowest test grade and it is almost impossible to fail unless you don't do the homework, and completely bomb the tests. PICK HIM FOR ALL MATH CLASSES!

If it helps for perspective, I attempted this course previously at Austin Community College (ACC) with their highest rated professor and was completely lost, had to drop. Zielinski has good grading structure, a laid back teaching style and made what was a tough course for me easy to understand.

He was really good at explaining things and being clear, SI sessions were also extremely helpful. He had a practice test in the library you could go and study which was helpful as well because most of the questions were similar. You def have to study but overall this class was great. I def recommend taking him!

Tough class regardless of who you take but Zielinski is the best professor for Buisness Calculus! Funny guy, Understanable, answers your questions. Go to class, you get extra credit if you do. Just pay attention and you should be fine. Stay off your phones or he will call you out. Take Him!

He was like the Southern, mathematically inclined grandfather I never had. He's a good professor. He simplifies everything and makes it seem easier than you thought. He has practice tests available which are almost identical to the tests and you get extra credit for showing up. He does yell a lot but that's just how he speaks.

loved him:) Mr. Z's such a cool, down to earth man who was a great professor! Although I was in a huge lecture class, I felt like I was in a small classroom with the way he held the class. If a random student in the back was to raise his hand with a calculator prob, Mr Z would take the time to walk to the back and fix it!

You should be able to pass the class if you show up and do you work. He gives out extra credit points if you show up to class. He is funny and intresting. He breaks so the math so it easy to understand.

Amazzing, i am horrible at math because i didnt have good teachers in high school but i ended up with an A in the class because pfrofessor zielinski gives test reviews that are so similar to his exams! if you study the review really well and take good notes in class you will get an A .. i never used the txtbook or even needed a tutor:)

Three exams and he will drop the lowest. Gives 18 attendance points but you have to show up to class in order to get the points and no one else can sign in for you because they count. He is a good professor, if you have a question he will answer it. He has his prior exams at the library third floor. He also has an SI which is helpful.

Seriously I struggled with math. He tells you in the begging making at least 65 on your tests will get you a 70. The first and third tests were the easiest for me. The second one and the final are tough. I really liked his approach and teaching style. You have to put in effort to learn math to get a decent grade and he helps.

BEST MATH TEACHER EVER. Seriously I struggled with math my entire life and in this 5 week class I understood more than all my previous math classes combined. I ended up making a B+ in the class. He's just an awesome teacher and I definitely recommend him!

Math has never been my best subject. However, taking Zielinski actually made be enjoy math. The class really isn't hard. I took it during the summer which worried me about the pace but I pulled through easily with an A+. I wish he taught all the maths I have to take. Overall, Awesome professor.

Make sure you know algebra before signing up for this class. It is a large theatre style class and he goes by math problems quickly. He does ask if there are any questions but if you feel intimidated by large classrooms then don't take this one. You may feel lost. He doesn't go over math problems in detail bc you should already know it.

SO EASY! Explains every concept very precisely so it's almost impossible to not understand. Puts tests from previous semesters in the library. Study those and work the problems the day before or of the test and you'll make an A on every test. Uses the same questions just with different numbers.

Fast paced math class, professor is super cool and funny and makes it interesting, and its impossible not to get an A unless you don't even try!

He was so helpful and very clear when lecturing! I didn't love attending this class simply because it was math but he was an amazing teacher!! He will do anything he can to try and fix any problems you have or to give you the benefit of the doubt!! I'm lucky to have gotten him my first semester of college!!!

Nice guy, decent professor. Will work w/ you if you go to his office. Attendance not mandatory, but VERY recommended. I did get 1 question right on the test by solving it differently than he taught & he counted the entire thing wrong, which I feel was rude but whatever. Not the easiest subject so you pay attention & go to the math lab in Derrick.

I HATE math; am terrible at it. At first his class is very intimidating (400 students), but for such a big class, he is really good at explaining things. You always have homework online. He submits basically the test with different numbers to the library before the test to study from which is very helpful. You have to work for a good grade.

This. teacher. rocks. I got my first A on a math test since elementary school. IMPORTANT: GO TO CLASS. You can get 3 C's on all your tests & STILL get a B if you go to class (gives extra credit for going) & do at least 90% of the homework. I highly recommend this teacher, even for those who aren't the best at math like myself. No book required!

His class is set up so it is really hard not to pass. There's homework you can do over and over again until you get 100, the reviews are a lot like the tests, and he gives attendance points too. On top of that he's a great prof. Definitely take him if you have the chance. PS Don't buy the textbook

His test are to the point. He tells you what is on the quiz and test. Go to class and you'll pass. JUST PAY ATTENTION AND TAKE GOOD NOTES. Make sure you understand everything in the beginning because it lays the foundation for future work.

The class only lasts as long as it takes to teach the lesson, so about 30 minutes. He goes over a few problems from the previous day's lesson, then jumps into the new lesson. He gives examples, explains thoroughly, and will answer any question. The homework is online and each day of attendance is extra credit. I would take him again if I could.

Very funny and very FOR the students. He wants you to pass. The only way to fail this class is to let your homework assignments pile up on you since they're online. (That's what happened to me) I'm going to take him again and learn from my mistakes. LOVE THIS MAN! No book needed. Extra credit for attendance. No surprises on tests.

Excellent professor. He's awkward and funny. Has a loud booming voice that keeps the class interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed his class. The online homework gives exactly what will be on the tests. I only needed a 69 on the final to pass the class with an A. I would take this professor again. He's awesome!

I have taken this course times in which i have either failed or dropped due to the fact i knew i would fail, math is not my strongest subject but taking this class with Mr. Zielinski helped me learn so much and his extra credit points help so much also, he really helps you learn and wants you to do well! I would recommend him a million times!

I am TERRIBLE at algebra and math in general, but Zielinski made this class understandable and I was finally able to pass. He drops the lowest test grade, gives attendance pts for extra credit, you have unlimited tries to get 100 on the hw, AND the test reviews are basically the test just different numbers. I would def recommend taking him!!!

REALLY GREAT PROFESSOR!! Gives 18 extra points to your final grade just for attendance. Goes into great detail and uses connectmath but you have as many chances to take the quizzes so there is no excuse why you shouldnt make 100 on them. He pretty quirky and I didn't mind going to class. I ended with an A with only making high 80's on the exams

Arguably the best professor for College Algebra. Very clear cut and clearly wants to see students succeed. Take him for summer, it helps ALOT. gives alot of extra credit for attendance, multiple chances to make the grade and alot of out of class assistance. Helped me alot coming from terrible high school math to learning and liking math in 5 weeks!

Mr. Z keeps things super simple. He does expect you to have prior knowledge from the previous math courses & can seem intimidating but he's not bad. He cuts out a lot of the "fluff" from math which gives you fewer things to remember. Calculus is hard but Mr. Z definitely made it as painless as possible. Assigns homework but only to "pad" your grade

Theres homework for every class, only 4 tests including the final, and lots of opportunities for help. Super easy to pass the class as long as you show up a few times, do the homework, and alright on 2 of the tests.

He is a nice guy with a fun sense of humor. He does expect you to know/remember math from Algebra, and this is why I gave him a 2 in the 'helpfulness' category. Other then that, I felt that the material, though difficult, was still made easy to digest. I am horrible at math, but would take him again. HW is essential to passing the class.

Prof. Zielinski is the only reason I passed college algebra. I'm literally the worst at math and I took his MATH1315 in Summer 2015. The class was every day which helped me stay on top of it and there was homework online that I did every evening. Tests are not too challenging, just review before. I would most defiantly take him again!

Go to the help sessions before the test if possible. Reviews are very similar to the tests.

I took him over the summer (which I highly recommend) and I had a good time in his class. He did exceptionally well at helping you understand formulas and calculations. Might I add he was really funny, as well! Great professor, I'd recommend him to anyone having trouble with math!

Professor Zielinski is an AMAZING math teacher! I hated math my entire life and failed it the first semester when I took it with Dalrymple and had to drop, and then I signed up for Zielinski even though it was an 8am and now I love math. He and his TA really help you understand the curriculum. The only thing they ask is that you practice!

Take Prof. Zielinski if you are HOPELESS in math like me, he is awesome! Extra pts for attendance, multiple choice tests almost identical to review (he drops one). I went to the weekly review session held by the TA and thats what really helped me! she was great! sadly this was her last semester ): class always got out 30 min early. TAKE HIM!!!

This class sucks no matter who you take it with, it's really hard BUT Gary does not want you to fail! Attendance is not mandatory but he gives random extra credit attendance points and you missing a day might get you pretty far behind. Always willing to help!!

I took this class as a Summer Session, and I will tell you that if you are looking for an easy A, not gonna happen, unless you are a natural at math. While I feel that Prof. Z makes it nearly impossible for you to fail the class, unless you aren't attending and doing the homework. Tests are hard, and homework is daily. Prof Z is a good guy though!

Took this course this past summer 1. I came in worried b/c I'm not a math person. As long as you make it a priority to stay committed & want to learn the material you should do fine. Try to get 2 good scores on the first 2 exams & drop the 3rd (he drops the lowest 1 of the 3). Do homework & come to class. Overall good man.

I took Professor Z for Summer 1 and I highly recommend you take his class for the summer. There were 3 tests which one gets dropped and a final which is cumulative. His grade point system is fair and he gives you 1 point for each day that you attend, so show up every day! He is an awesome algebra teacher and makes you understand math.

This is tough subject but professor Zielinski teaches it in the easiest way. He starts basic and then builds and builds so I wouldn't recommend skipping class. If you study you should be able to easily make an A or B.

From what I've seen, there is no easy way out of math 1329, however this teacher really tries his best to get you to understand the material. As long as you attend class, you should do just fine. Math is my worst subject and I've been able to understand him when he explains things. However, he is a tough grader so do make sure you study.

Easy professor. Never went to class and still managed to make a high grade. You get attendance points for going to class which adds to your final grades. Lectures are always on point. He makes everything easy so don't make it hard on yourself!

Mr. Zielinski was an amazing teacher. I'm not sure what he specifically did to make me understand the content of the class, but I did and I (for the most part) did really well in his class. If you can take him, I would HIGHLY recommend. He's one of the best teachers I've ever had!!

He taught the content really well. He also gave extra credit for class attendance and he was really clear on his grading criteria (how much each exam was worth etc and how much you had to make an exam to pass the class). He doesn't gave quizzes.

I have dropped this simple math course 2 times before and finally this professor has not only explained it well but I got an A. If you're willing to show up every day and do homework everyday you won't have a problem. He gives amazing reviews and bonus points

Mr. Zielinksi is a kind person and a good instructor. Students could only gain attendance points by being present; they couldn't lose points for being absent. The lowest of the first three exam grades was dropped, but the cumulative final exam was required and was fairly difficult. You can do well if you do all the homework and attend class.

Do all Connect Math and get 100%) and attend class every day. I took 1300 in the Fall (A), 1311 in the Spring, (A) and 1315 in the first Summer session. I received a B. If you struggle with math, the summer session is recommended (as your only class). Since you go every day, you don't have time to forget what you've learned. Take this prof!

This prof really does his best to make this tough class more understandable. He is very knowledgable and willing to help students in his office hours. Lectures are super helpful in understanding the material. Funny guy and good teacher.

This class was great. He always answered questions and was willing to help. This is essentially a calculus class but he helps you get through it. I would definitely take him again

You have to go to class (he adds a point to your grade for every lass you attend) but he usually ends it after 50 minutes every time. The lectures are really straightforward and there's only about 10 questions on every hw (completion grade). Got a 100 in this class so he makes it super easy!

The best professor I have ever had. He makes learning the material so easy and is funny while he does it. Every quiz is open note and there are usually hw's due every week, but only a few problems. The tests were not hard and fairly short. Ive always struggled in math but he made it so easy to understand, I wish he could teach all my math classes.

There's a lot of homework in this class. You really need to go to class to learn the material, unless you are naturally good at algebra. He gives extra credit for attendance and usually lets class out early. Do the test review more than once, and go to SLAC and the Math Lab for help. The tests are like the review.

Amazing Professor!! He gives many extra credit opportunities. As long as you keep up with the Home Work it's an easy A.

easy A if you practice and show up, he's hilarious and actually made business cal entertaining with his personality, the guy is one of a kind in a good way. best math teacher ive ever had, It's Easy!!!

Do all of the homework and practice test problems and you will have no problems with this class!!

Attendance wasnt mandatory but it did help to go to class to understand the material better otherwise youre just teaching yourself when doing homeworks. He always gave out practice tests before exams which were super helpful! He also drops the lowest exam grade so some only took 2 out of the 3 exams he gave if they did good on the first ones

Attendance for this class isn't mandatory but it definitely helps if you show up. If you're bad at math like I was take this professor because his tests are multiple choice and that definitely helps! There's lots of online HW due at the end of the semester but I recommend keeping up with it so you're not stuck doing it all last minute.

I think I heard he was retiring this year, but I could be wrong. He was a great prof and did a lot of problems repeatedly to help understand them. Monotone voice, fell asleep in class once. Lots of homework, beware. I HIGHLY suggest you go to class even though it's not mandatory b/c it helps on tests. He's a good man and good prof so I recommend
