I am a tenured accountant and have taken 3 separate teachers in accounting 1,2 &3. She is a first semester teacher and Gives u the home work first and then the next class, does not go over it. Basically by reading the material you should be able To know the answers. Forget asking a valid queStion. Major controL issue. Avoid this teacher!!!!!!
Lots of online homework, often times assigns homework without teaching it in class, expects you to learn it on your own. I dont recommend for a first time accounting student, you will struggle just like I did
Avoid this teacher!! Test are timed to short, extreme difficulty (even if you study hard), loves to throw trick questions at you! I believe a CPA would struggle in this class! She changed homework mid way through, asked us to complete study objectives, but she combines all objectives in the problems. You are forced to attack material all @once
This teacher has a bit of a temper and she is all over the place with her teaching methods. I wish this class had more teachers to choose from.
Would not suggest this prof. to anyone. assigns homework on lessons that has not been taught in the class, expects students to learn it on their own, then may or may not go over it. Even when doing all the homework plus extra one will still struggle due to confusion
She is very blunt and does not understand that we are not all accounting majors like her. If at all possible avoid this teacher. I have asked her several understanding questions and have been told numerous times that she does not offer assistance on this assignment or that one.... etc.
Teacher does not present subject well however she does understand accounting. When asking questions she does not answer them but only gets mad. Unfortunately, I do better in a classroom than online. If you do take her, don't leave class on time or you will get yelled at. Just like high school, "class ends when the teacher excuses you."
This teacher is horrible. When i signed up for Spring 2013 we had 37 in our class. I had to drop out after first test. So did almost all class. There is 16 left in class. NWFSC should really look at her teaching methods. This is a state college not Grad accounting school at UF.
The worst teach I have ever had. Her teaching style is all over the place and will confuse you more by going to her "lectures."
Horrible teacher. Doesn't allow students to ask questions, yells at students when they attempt to ask questions. Doesn't explain course materials in good detail. Taught the class like we already should know the material. I wouldn't wish this professor on my worst enemy matter of fact if you can take this course somewhere else please do it.
Worst teacher ever. Tests on material never covered. She must expect you to memorize the book. The exam was open book, with a three hour time limit and I still got a C. I've never had a C on any test in my life. I wish there were other options for some of these accounting classes because I have to take at least one more class with her. UGH!!
This is practically a self taught course using a website. The class portion is just to clarify any confusion and go over what you already taught yourself. BE WARNED! Expect 6-12 hours online coursework weekly. Teacher is fair but also not a push over. You will have to work for your grade, welcome to college.
Very fair professor, not sure what is with negative comments. Accounting is not an easy subject. It takes a lot of studying to pass. Professor is very willing to answer questions. Don't expect an easy A, though, and be prepared to take notes and read the text! Lots of homework, but the homework covers test material.
worst teacher i have ever had.. Makes you do online homework that she hasnt taught you how to do yet..Doesnt teach well, hot tempered, yells at you if you ask questions. DONT take her if you want to learn something and pass the cladd
Worst teacher on the planet. No help at all. Took her in class and on-line. If it weren't for the college tutor, I wouldn't have passed. Treats everyone like they are in the third grade. She might be the greatest accountant on the planet but a teacher she is not. If you have to take her, find a tutor. I earned a B no thanks to her.
The courses she teaches are not necessarily easy but I don't agree with such low ratings. If you work hard, you receive a good grade. I have taken Payroll Accounting and Computer Apps for Accounting. I received an A in both courses.
I took her for Accounting 1 and 2. I did well in the class, but it was not because of good teaching. I did it all by myself. There are no online lectures, you have to read the book and figure out how to answer the ridiculously hard questions all by yourself. She would not give us guidance as to what to study for the final. Worse teacher I've had.
This class is obnoxiously difficult. Expect to be teaching yourself, as Brown offers very little instruction to otherwise extremely hard questions. I really wanted to learn this class, but found that I couldn't because of the lack of helpful content.
Very poor at elaborating and helping students understand the content, Fast paced class, Would not recommend to anyone
I had her for accounting concepts and practice. She was very fair and whenever I asked her to clarify something, she would go back and go over it again. She was also available outside of class to help go over homework or answer any other questions. She really helped explain the material to me.
Do yourself a solid and take the class online. The content in class takes away from the time you need in order to learn the time consuming chart work. She basically only grades the online portion anyway. So save your gas money and grab a laptop! And make sure you have a good 5 hours to spend on it.
She isn't that bad. She tells you right up front that the hours are long. However, she teaches above the class' head. She expects you to know things that aren't in the book or covered in class. But she will help if you are doing all the assigned work. She checks online to make sure you access all the work. If you aren't trying, she won't either.
She doesn't teach before you're expected to know the material and when she does teach she just lectures from the homework that was already due. She was extremely helpful to certain students, but would blatantly ignore or even tell others to not talk. This class is 100% do it yourself and going to the class is a waste of time. Take it online!
Very sarcastic. Almost degrading towards students who ask questions. Never answers the question straight up. Always has to add another comment that makes you feel like you asked a dumb question. I've taken her classes before and hated them. Once again I'm taking her class but only because no other professors were offered.
DO NOT TAKE HER. Just don't. I would rather have both my legs broken than go through this again...
At the beginning of the class she outlines exactly what she expects. She expects you to treat the class like you would a job. So there is very littleno sympathy if you are late. A lot of students are used to high school teachers DONT MAKE THAT MISTAKE! You'll be fine if you are respectful, get your work done early, and do ALL the work.
I will never take a class that she teaches again! If you ask a question, it's like the end of the world. And never get a straight answer. Will Say one thing and then changes it up the next class. Oh And don't try to call her out on it either.. Lost cause! I wouldn't recommend any class she teaches!
She's nice in person, but her class is ridiculous. I took her online through the connect program and the way she has is set up is tough. She had no resources to help you with a problem. Only one chance to check your work. The test are okay if its multiple choice but theres no chance of actually passing her class unless your a genius at accounting.
First things first, she's tough, but fair in my experience. I've had her for 4 accounting classes, the last being MAN 3083. Take her in person if at all possible. The online system sucks for accounting in general. Very hard on students, but will usually help if asked. Does not tolerate stupid questions, and will have you RTFB first.
I took ACG3083 in Fall 2014 online. This teacher is the absolute worst I have ever experienced at NWFSC or anywhere. Offers zero help to students, her assignments are super difficult and the study material won't help you understand. Endless study required in order to pass, tests are impossibly hard, no study guides, be ready for frustration galore!
I withdrew from this class even though I was past the date for refund. I will not take a class with her and have transferred colleges rather than have to deal with this professor.
Absolute worst teacher, and supposedly the head of the accounting department?! She needs to be fired immediately. I'm not just saying that either, because i have actually passed the class.
This teacher is horrible. Unless you want to be stressed out to max with this class, avoid Gay Lynn Brown by all means. I took her online class and it seems as if teachers don't even want to teach anymore. Instead, they rely on a program called connect that takes hours to complete. Her test are ridiculous. Good luck getting an A or even passing.
She knows her stuff and she makes a point of relating what she teaches to real-life application, which helps a lot. She expects the students to study and do the assignments, and those are essential if you expect getting a good grade. I am a novice, and yet after watching the videos and doing the exercises, I ended up with good grades. Go Figure!
Ms. Brown is tough, but if you provide the effort in her class, she will provide the help you need. I took Accounting 2 and Managerial Accounting both online with her, and she was always there to answer my questions. However, as a student, you will probably need to spend more time studying for this class than most of your other classes.
Everyone seems to be giving her bad ratings, she is not nearly as bad as some of the students are making her seem. I would recommend her in an actual class setting, but I knew nothing about accounting going in and ended up with a B in ACG 2001 and ACG 2011. The best advice that i can give someone is to find an accounting buddy to ask questions.
I took ACG 2001 online. Everything is self taught as far as the online section goes. She answers emails regarding all things accounting. I'm pretty passionate about this career field so I was focused but I can definitely see the boring parts for what they are but they are crucial for accounting. Stay focused, do the work and you will get through.
I would like to say avoid this teacher, but NWFSC gives you no choice but to take her. The exams set you up for failure, as there is not nearly enough time to complete the LONG accounting problems. I am a 4.0 student, and highly doubt I will make it out of this class with an A. Get a tutor because they will actually teach you, unlike Ms. Brown.
I felt completely lost. Everything is unorganized and she does not give you much of a heads up on assignments . You can't plan ahead, so if you like a teacher that gives you a syllabus with all the due dates on it so you can organize and plan ahead I would highly suggest looking for a different teacher!
Truly cares that her students succeed. You get out what you put into it. If you want to just float by then this isn't the class but if you truly want to learn and succeed then she's the teacher you want. Easily the best I've had.
ONLINE CLASS. Lots of homework w/ very little time to get it done. 4-5 days per chapter each week plus quizzes and exams. She didn't respond to my emails asking for help or clarification. She will NEVER accept late work period! My daughter was very sick & she wouldn't allow even a 1 hr extension. Wish I didn't have to take her class but no choice.
She lectures very poorly, you're gonna be lost if you didn't read the chapter before class, hears everything! if you don't show up for a good portion then all you need to do is read the chapter you're on and you'll pass with a B. She assigns a good bit of HW, all which teaches you at home (another reason to not be in class) GOOD NEWS! there is EC
Mrs. Brown is a teacher who cares about her students and their well-being. She is very strict on due dates and does not accept late work at all. All the work for the class is done on your own and online. Mostly lectures in class and uses real life examples. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and would recommend her. Expecting to get an A in the class
She does not teaches. She lets a very limited computer program do the teaching for her.
Avoid Ms. Brown at all costs possible. I can honestly say this was the worst class I have ever taken. The entire semester she assigned quizzes and tests that were all online. Then at the last minute she switched the last test and final to paper which is ENTIRELY different. I came out of the class with a B but it was not worth it. DO NOT TAKE HER.
If you are reading this, AVOID MS. BROWN AT ALL COST. Please take my advice! She will not teach you, as you will have to teach yourself every detail of every chapter. She's very rude and always gives smart responses to students. Ask her for help and all you'll get is a smart remark. If you still decide to take the class.... you are in my prayers..
By far the worst professor I have EVER had! She lectures in class but it is very useless as most of the course is self taught online using Connect. She will not give you any advice on what to study for her exams, which are 45% of your overall grade, just says you should know it all. You can not avoid her though as she in the only Accounting teacher
She makes things difficult for no reason and takes away tools connect has to help you. You will do all work online and have to teach yourself but then she will give you a paper exam which changes everything. She is in charge of Accounting at the school. Even told the school tutors they could not help with homework even though it is not graded.
Ms. Brown seems to be a very good accountant, as that is her main job. She should stick to it, because teaching is not her strong suit. She relies pretty much solely on the online book for the course, and only occasionally teaches any accounting info that would actually be useful in her class. You'll need to do a lot of self teaching to get an A.
Hands down, Ms. Brown is the worst teacher EVER!!. I use accommodations for my disability and she literally refused to allow me to test in the Disability rooms. When I inquired about using my accommodations, she was rude and refused to talk to me. I ended up withdrawing and will take accounting at another school. This happened to others as well.
By far the worst professor I have ever taken in my life. On the first day of class I asked her a question about the syllabus and she had a smart remark back. She "lectures" every class period but ends up talking about her personal life. Also send emails out 5 minutes before class saying its dismissed. Words cannot describe how horrible she is.
Because of Ms. Brown I have a great accounting job making more than I thought possible. She may be a little tough but you handle other people's money so it's expected. Not a fun subject but she makes learning easy.
My course was totally online, but no recorded lectures were available to help. She didn't respond to several emails. Course work is extensive with little time to complete.
This class was not as bad as other people have made it out to be at all! Each chapter does require quite a bit of work, but as long as you do the work you shouldn't have a problem. The lessons are repetitive, so you end up knowing the material. I love her teaching methods. Definitely recommend her, but it's up to you to do the work!
Good luck, you have to take her if you are looking her up. Take a lot of notes, start the assignments as soon as you get them and expect the chapter "tests" to be a lot different than the chapter "homework".
I would tell you to avoid Ms Brown at all costs but if you plan to get an bachelors degree from NWFSC you don't have a choice. She only uses Connect, no lectures, no help. Don't waste your time emailing her even if Connect goes down and you have case number as she tells you to in the syallbus. Worst professor I have had, good luck your gonna need
Worst teacher I've ever had, hands down. She does not teach. She just tells you where to find the material, and then you are on your own. Oh? You want to talk to her about it for help? Good luck. It's your fault for not knowing the information. THE MOST unhelpful "teacher" and should be replaced immediately.
I took this class online and she doesn't provide any material to help you. The homework is very time consuming and difficult. The test are very long and she don't provide enough time to complete it. The book is not enough to help you understand how to do the problems. Please, do not take her. Worst class and teacher I have ever had.
There was no actual teaching going on in either semester of taking her. She posts a PowerPoint presentation and has you do a quiz and an exam each chapter. As long as you are good at learning new material yourself, you can get a good grade.
she is the embodiment of stupidity when it comes to teaching.. absolutely no teaching going on shes an embarassment to the college, her methods make me cringe. enough ranting; honestly the textbook is useless sorry kiddo, she teaches as if everyone knows everything right away, she looks at you as if youre dumb when you ask questions. good luck
WORST teacher I've ever had in 5 years of college. She doesn't work with students (even military). I currently have an A and that is not because of the teacher AT ALL. Her syllabus is a mess and dates for assignments, exams, and quizzes are not posted more than a few hours in advance. Then you miss things and she just gives you a big fat 0.
Ive taken one of Ms Browns classes before online. It was intro to Business, there is no engagement with the students, its read this and take that. PowerPoints are just regurgitated chapter summaries that youll read in your text books. There is no teaching in these classes, it got so bad other students were sending chain emails voicing concerns.
I had her for Accounting I, II, Managerial (online), and Intro to Business. She is IN-SANE-LY difficult; HOWEVER, I am now at the FSU College of Business majoring in Accounting and Finance - ACING my classes. I aced the Accounting Competency Exam for admission to the school and every FAR I Exam because I know half the material in the class already.
I have my BA from a different university, & out of every professor I've had Ms Brown is by far the worst. Course load & content are about right. She doesn't respond to emails & uploads none of her own content or provides no instruction. The website does all tutorials, tests, hw, exams, grading. Syllabus doesn't actually follow course makeup.
DO NOT TAKE THE ONLINE COURSE. She doesn't upload a single lecture, your only hope is Chegg or the likes where you will be able to teach yourself based off of their examples. Make no mistake you are the professor if you take this online.
I took this class as a hybrid course. She does not teach the material, that is entirely up to you. I watched numerous accounting tutorial videos on YouTube. She uses the one hour a week of classroom time to answer any questions and to work example problems from that week's module. She pays attention to who is doing the work online.
Perhaps the worst professor I have ever had. Terribly rude to male students. She is the by the rule person ever student deeply dreads. AVOID.
Very rude and not helpful at all. When students ask for help, she dismisses them and even talks down to other students. Will cut you off in the middle of your sentences and even raises her voice. Doesnt actually teach course content, just talks about anything else. 10/10 would NOT recommend her as a professor.
Okay, Here's the thing. Accounting isn't easy to begin with. It's not a typical class that you can show up and skim by. I have had her for 2 classes so far and plan to have 1 or 2 more with her before the end of my AA. She has set office hours and is almost ALWAYS there. You just need to put in effort. She wont give out grades. Study! Ask for help.
Perhaps the single worst teacher at NWFSC currently. TAKE HER ONLINE. you can use google on the tests, but if you take her in class no online help, not even a curve. seriously take ONLINE you will not miss anything, but a mean old lady.
One of the worst professors At NWF. She doesnt teach any of the content that you need to know, instead she talks about her personal life. She talks down to students and cuts them off when they try to ask questions. I have had many examples of great teachers throughout my life, This instructor has none of the qualities of a good teacher.
The professor isn't the best. She doesn't teach the class. She doesn't give a test review. The test questions are random. There is barely enough time to finish the test. She relies on the computer programs to do her work. I have emailed her multiple times and still haven't received a response. Your best bet is to skip on this professor.
I think she is great at accounting but awful at teaching it. The PowerPoints to the homework to the tests have no connection. Unless you want to teach yourself accounting (which is nearly impossible) I would recommend taking it online or not at NWFSC. Also, why is she the only professor? She does not respect students nor their difficulties learning
This class was fine. When I personally emailed her due to confusion she didn't come across as very welcoming. Might just be the way she comes across through writing though. Overall the course was decent, easy, and the work load was sensible. Easy A.
Do NOT attend this college if she is your only option. "Professor" Brown is the embodiment of ignorance. Her lectures are 80% about her pecan farm, 20% getting offended by student questions. Only talks about her life, she was late MOST of the days. Just pure ignorance. Exams are extremely hard considering she DOES NOT teach. Arrogance at its finest
If you take this class, you'll need to purchase the book and health insurance. This class will literally make you go crazy and see a counselor. After this semester, I have reached my deductible. I refuse to wear my seat belt on the way to class hoping that someone will run into me from behind. But even then, I wouldn't be excused from hw. Good Luck
Awful. Probably one of the worst professors Ive had at Northwest. Had an A+ throughout the entire class up until the last 2 weeks where she FAILED to update class on final. However, she let retake but it was nothing like I took before (since I took the online class). Very rude, even in person with poor/little communication online to students.
Worst teacher ever. refuses to help students with questions, and will call you out. She is out to make every student fail. She makes the tests extra hard for no reason. We were assigned a project, and multiple students had a specific question about the layout. She refused to answer it. AVOID AT ALL COST. Even the counselor tried to warn me.
Very disappointed in Northwest College for highering a teacher like this. If you pay money for a class, your questions should be answered. You also should not be shamed in class for asking a question. Do not take this class. This professor is a disgrace upon the school. Northwest needs to take care of this. Embarrassing.
So rude! When I have questions and email her she has a smart a** response every time! All I am trying to do is be successful in her class and clarify her vague instructions and she acts as though I'm an idiot. Easily the worst professor I've ever had, safe yourself the headache and avoid her.
Heres the thing, this class is difficult. She gets a bad rap, but shes not as bad as this site makes her seem. She is very tough and makes it clear that you HAVE to put in work if you want to pass. She will not hand you a good grade. But she is also nice and helpful if you genuinely need help. The class is fast paced and you do have to work.
I had this professor for both accounting 1 and 2. I passed both classes with an A. Be ready to spend a lot of time on these classes, you will be well prepared if you do the assignments. My poor rating comes from the fact that this professor is so incredibly rude when you email her. Unnecessarily snippy, makes you not even bother asking for help.
There's a reason the saying "take it with a grain of salt" was invented and Professor Brown's low rating on this site is no exception. Please don't base your decision on this rating. I won't lie, Mrs. Brown is strict and to the book but that's accounting. Honestly, she has a big heart and sets you up for success if you try. (Also, use tutoring!)
Dying. Ive taken this professor for ACCT 2001, 2002, and Managerial ACCT. Cant say whats worse. the online program that teaches you backwards and makes everything more difficult than it needs to be. or having an uneducated accounting teacher that refuses to let you see graded work (graded by a computer) and doesnt help students at all.
What an embarrassment to this college and a disgrace to all teachers. This teacher will not allow you to see previously graded tests (even from two semesters ago). I tried telling her In person that this was hindering me from learning and she LAUGHED at my concern and everything I said was labeled as a problem of cheating between students.....
Awful teacher, very rude and snippy. Also, hopefully you are single and have no kids and no job to take this class. Expect to spend 20 hours on homework a week. Homework doesn't always match the content. There are 4 parts of homework each week and pay close attention to hmwk dates as they change and you have less time to complete these huge probs
She makes you do 2 homework assignments that take HOURS and graded in Connect b4 u can access the 3rd one which is the ONLY 1 she counts and takes HOURS as well. You get 3 chapters per 2 wks which is 9-12 assignments (some have Large Problems) that require about 40 hours per week. It's like a full time job 4 one class. Prepare to teach yourself.
I understood going into an accounting class that it would be difficult but this particular professor made it more difficult than it had to be. You have four assignments due every two weeks and only two are actually taken for a grade. They take an exceptionally long time to do and the only help you have is the textbook, which isn't much help either.
No matter what other people say - she is the best teacher you want to have for accounting career. She can be rough and difficult, but all you need to do is think and ask for help when you struggling. She is always available in her office or via email. Very great material and examples that really makes your think. The best teacher I ever had!
Literally the worst class I have ever taken. She does't teach anything. Relies 100% on connect for lectures and homework. Her emails are rude and I'd hardly call her a professor. Pay for a monthly Chegg subscription if you want to pass, you will thank me later.
Professor Brown is tough but college is not meant to be easy. As long as you do your homework you will be fine. Do not be afraid to ask questions, there are comments saying she is rude but I have not witnessed this.
She is honestly not that bad, yes she is tough on you but in the end if you do what you are supposed to do you will pass. I really enjoyed taking her class.
This is a great class, but you will need to study. Don't leave the tests to the last minute because they take a lots of time. Start early with all the work for the chapters too. Try to work ahead and don't leave anything to the last minute. If you work hard you can get an A.
Those looking for an easy A, steer clear. But those that want to learn actually learn the subject, this is the class for you. You are given PLENTY of time to read the lessons and complete all of the assignments; a truly self-paced course. Professor Brown was always available if you had questions and offered tutoring. Overall, a good class!
She is the only teacher that teaches this class and its a requirement for a bunch of majors. She is rude to anyone and if you ask a legitimate question expect to get bullied by her for it. She contradicts what she does half of the time and then doesn't answer what asked. I think only 2 people passed in my class. TAKE ANYWHERE ELSE FOR REQUIRMENT.
This professor clearly doesn't have a passion for Accounting. Not only did she numerously get frustrated with students for asking simple questions, but she would constantly not accept written homework turned in ON TIME. yeah that's right, one of my classmates was getting the sheet out of the backpack and the professor did not accept. DO NOT TAKE
Professor Brown is amazing. Of course you need to put a lot of effort since Accounting is not very easy subject. If you go to her lectures and work hard you will do great.
Took her for all 3 accounting courses, easily the worst professor I've ever taken. She doesn't teach, just rambles on about politics and her life story, constantly talks down to students for asking simple questions. Her exams are impossible and the questions are vague. You only have 2 hours to do 100 questions of accounting problems, its IMPOSSIBLE
I was super scared of this class when registering for it. This class is A LOT of homework, but as long as you keep on top of it and make sure you don't fall behind you will be fine! If you are struggling I would STRONGLY encourage you to purchase chegg for homework help. 20 bucks a month helped me get an A.
To add on to the post below. Take the course online. I had a friend in class and some of the classmates weren't showing up for class and she made everyone in the class take a different and harder test at the end.
There was a lot of work, but it was fairly easy material. Please take this class literally anywhere else, or online. By far the worst proffesor I have ever had. Will refuse to help you & pretend to be nice first 2 classes, then she is so rude and treats class as story time for her personal life. Someone filed a grievance against her this semester.
If you take one of her classes I recommend sitting in the back and just don't ask any questions. She will act like you are stupid for not understanding a concept, online tests were easy but the in-person exams are much more difficult and didn't really relate to the material taught. PS if you disagree with one of her opinions, just pretend you agree
If I could give this professor a 0 I would, for the simple fact that this class is only dependent on connect. Literally homework has nothing to do with the lesson at all. Homework and lesson takes literally forever to finish so I suggest not having a job. Only way to pass this class is getting a Chegg subscription since it teaches way better.
Guys, it's not an easy class. The homework is time consuming but possible. Chegg and classmates help. If your tests are online you should do well. If not, good luck you may be screwed. She's a great person, but it is sometimes hard to understand what she is trying to say, thats all.
Took Professor Brown's online accounting class. Pretty straight forward. 3 units (Ch 1-2; Ch 3; Ch 4-6). Each unit has LearnSmart, Interactives, & then Homework. Homework is pretty time consuming. Each unit has a test. Pretty simple. No professor involvement; however, I took her last semester and had to audit the course, so being online was easier.
Easy class. No tests; however there are 17 chapters that have a LearnSmart & Homework attached to them. In place of "tests" is something called Simulation which requires you to use what you learned in a simulated "real life" environment. Some of the questions are tricky. No professor involvement.
She is a terrible professor. She will not answer questions. I went up to ask a question and she said I dont answer questions after class, email me. She tells people in class to just pay attention when they have a question. Do not take any of her classes unless you actually have to.
No lectures or any instruction other than Connect. Don't expect any instruction, test help, or notes. Just Connect and text. You are on your own. She has minimal office hours (gappy and only a few a week) and hard to reach. Accounting should be taught not cheated through.
She barely teaches in class and the homework will take hours to complete since she does not teach whats on the homework. The tests are hard and so is the assignments. She also has an attitude problem in class and she is the only teacher at NWF that teaches accounting..
STEER CLEAR! This class is SO HARD! I took it online and was immediately swamped by homework and tests. I had an emergency in my first weeks and she was super rude and didnt let me make up work. I failed her class because of this and went to haleen shields, WAY better. Would absolutely not recommend her to anyone.
Professor Brown is one of the most accessible and helpful professors I have had. Her door was always open to answer questions or help with areas I was struggling with. She also tailored her teaching style in order to help each student. If you are willing to put in the work and ask her for help she will help you and you will succeed in this class.
Accounting was a very hard class for me to understand but Professor Brown helped me get from a C+ to an A- bye helping me outside of class. Her classes are very straightforward but she also understands that some students need to work harder than others and she really helped me do just that. She made this painful subject for me be a successful class
This was definitely a challenging course but one that the professor gave you all the tools to be successful in. Her door was always open and she was quick to respond to emails. She is very helpful and truly wants all of her students to succeed. She helped me bring up my grade so much with outside help as well.
Professor Brown's ACG2001 has a reputation for being challenging, but for those willing to put in the work, it's a rewarding experience. The coursework is thorough, and the professor is helpful if you engage. Unstuckstudy proved a useful study tool alongside the textbook.
