You can't understand her, and when you ask her a question she just repeats what she said instead of answering the question. Her exams are really hard, and if you mess up on one it hurts your whole grade. She's nice, but she's hard. Don't take her unless you have to.
She is the lab instructor and I couldn't undertand her because she is foreign. Her slides presentations are very well organized, but they don't play into the grading system at all so it's almost like they're useless. Nevers specifies what's actually on the quizzes, so it's a bit of a guessing game there...
All the people who complain are the ones who never come to class and are just lazy. She is willing to stay after class and explain the material and if you study, you will be fine for the course. She is a very good teacher!
She has a thick accent. Her lectures and notes are somewhat confusing. Tests are very hard. Pig lab was fun though.
Prof. Jadhave is possibly the worst teacher I have ever come across. She reads straight off the slide included in your book which does not really do much teaching. If you as a question, she tells you to research it. Her study guides dont correspond to the tests she gives either. Bad teacher...do not DO NOT take her!
pro Jadhav is very confusing and helpless. My suggestion is to avoid her if you can.

she is the Worst teacher ever. i have never gotten any grades below an A but in her class here at NOVA. She is very confusing and unhelpful.
She's easy. Just take notes. She'll tell you exactly what's gonna be on the exam. She doesn't expect you to know everything. Gives you extra credit that helps you bring up your grade. lets the whole class re-take exams if grade was poor. She's easy going and good
I enjoyed her class, she made sure no one got left in the dust when it came to grades (extra credit, test retakes). The problems are the class is dull and she uses the power points religiously, but an overall good teacher.
Even though I was doubtful, signed up and Gosh She was amazing, I am not sure if someone had a bad day to write all that stuff. U need to attend her class to know the Facts.
If you are enrolled in her class...CONGRADUATIONS!!!! u just paied hundreds of dollars to get the same quality teaching you could achieved just by watching a powerpoint.
She is a very good professor. she always tries her best to give you the best grade. I got a C in speech but a B in her class. I you want succeed, Take her!!!!!!!!!
There's no reason to buy the text book, it's expensive and not used. Her tests are taken directly from the notes. It's an easy enough class, slightly dull at times, but the average of the class was a B.
Took her for lab and lecture and what a mistake. she is hard and she is very hard to understand. she goes by the powerpoints religiously and doesnt use the book at all. her test were hard and to study all her powerpoints is pointless. dont take her unless ur a bio wiz.
Oh My. This was a waste of time, seriously. I normally do well in Biology but in this class was like a whole other world. I just finished and I dont think I learned anything. 100+ facts are pushed onto you to learn/memorize. And the many cycles are gone into way too much detail. She was lab teacher as well and I dont think ilearned anything either
She does teach by powerpoint, which i liked cause ALL of her test questions are taken directly from them (and she posts them online). Grading is as follows: No homework, 4 tests (lowest one dropped), and 4 essays due with the exams as part of the overall grade. Easy. Qs on tests can be worded a lil... vaguely, but i got no lower than a B on any.
Horrible. If you want to pass this class don't take her. She's a nice enough person but her teaching skills are very bad. The papers help a little bit, but they are two page single spaced. She won't e-mail you back and won't put work up when she says she will. Very unreliable.
shes the best teacher i ever had :) made the class seem like reviewing the ABC's, super easy
she's the best teacher i've ever had. :) she made the class seem like reviewing the ABCs, it was that easy to understand her. it was both fun and interesting! thank you professor jadhav!
This teacher is awesome. She explains everything to the dot,she also offers extra help for those who need it.She is wonderful.I was pregant and she helped me out alot!!! Awesome prof
Iam and A/B student and I will not get that in this class. Horrible teacher I have ever had in my life. It is hard to understand her. She is defensive about it. Unorganized, disrespectful, shows favortism to students she already knows, does not respond to emails, study guide is a joke, and she is all over the place. Do not take this teacher.
She may be hard to understand to some people, but if you look past it, you will see that she really only wants what is best for the class. You HAVE TO read the textbook. It is not going to be a walk in the park. I personally read a little so that I'm not lost in there, but it is just good practice to have. She wants you to succeed, but you must try
If you have a choice, choose a different teacher. She is all over the place in her lectures, you do not know what to expect from one class to the next, unorganized, doesn't follow the syllabus. She is not 100% comfortable with the material she is teaching, she skipped an entire body system because she wasn't comfortable teaching it.
very nice and helpful and works hard for the students...
Nice teacher but kind of hard
Good professor, cares about the students who show effort, wants everyone to do well. Tests are not super easy, you must study - go over the PPT's and read the text. She is a little "scatter-brained" but knows her anatomy/physiology.
Very good teacher. Explained everything well. Always available to answer questions and give feedback. Recommend to all taking BIO 141.
she's really good. She helps a lot and is there when u need help. she understands when you have an emergency. my daughter was sick so i had to go and she let me make up the test later. as long as you do the work u get an A no problem.
This is a great professor that gives a lot of extra credit.... Testes are a little challenging but she really helps even offer one on one tutoring......make sure to do the extra credit because she count them towards your test grade
Very easy, but she is unorganized. Just listen in class and go to labs. Easy A.
Super nice lady, but a horrible teacher. She is very helpful and gives a ton of extra credit, but she cannot teach at all. She teaches you information about the subject that is irrelevant. She is very nice, but definitely not worth taking the class. Over 50% of my class is retaking the class.
Excellent professor. She really knows the subject extremely well and is a good teacher. You actually have to study though and if you attend class, pay attention and take notes, she will tell you exactly what you need to know and it is not hard to get an A. Although she is unorganized, she really cares about her students.

This was an accelerated class, health major focused. She's very clear and gives a lot of extra help, in and out of class. Read the coordinating chapters, they're not assigned as this is college after all, attend lectures and labs, take notes, and follow the study guides and success is easy to achieve. Tests are given in an applied clinical format.
she is a very good teacher. as long as you listen to her lecture and read the power point, you will get an A. on tests, just go with the study guide she provides. she has an extensive knowledge of the course. you can also meet with her before lab and lecture.
This professor knows her material. However, she is VERY unorganized...she does provide lots of extra credit. Her test to me were kinda tricky. Def do not follow her study guide, but read the power point and textbook too!!! I had a 78 and she let me retake a quiz, and I brought my grade up to a 'B' (all extra credit, hw, lab practicals helped)
Is a nice prof. she knows her material but goes into too much detail. Class is boring, reads straight away from power point. Doesn't hand out back class assignment worksheets so the whole semester you wont know what grade you got on them. Her test are hard, questions are worded tricky. If you take her make sure you have time to study alot!
She's a nice professor. I have never gone to her for help but she offers it. Her tests are fair, just study for them and do any homework she assigns.
She has an accent which is hard to understand sometimes. Shes a nice teacher. I was able to make up a test I missed. Lab work is done in groups and she has to sign off your lab exercise. There is a dissection lab. There is no homework. The work is not easy.
I am currently a student in Dr. J's class and have no idea why she has poor reviews. Dr. J is so caring, sweet, and helpful. She is more than willing to spend one-on-one tutoring time if a student needs it. Her exams are tough and sometimes worded tricky but A&P alone is a hard course. I absolutely love Dr. J and am DEFINITELY taking bio 142 w her
Professor Jadhav gives good lecture. She breaks down material to help students understand, particularly on classifications stuff. She also gives hints on what's going to be on the test. Don't rely on her study guide, it does not cover everything. Rather, rely on her hints during class. She also has the powerpoints on Blackboard which is helpful.
Professor Jadhav has a very thick accent but you get used to it as the semester goes by. The class itself is very tough but she does her best to help students out. Great professor and a great person as well. She's your best option for BIO 141-142 at NOVA.
Knows her material, and how to teach it. Throws a few analogies and jokes around to make the environment better for learning. Very helpful and understanding. Tests are ok if you study, and lab practicals help if you know the models. The practicals are multiple choice and fill in the blank. Usually available to help out students. Clear explanations
Really cares about her students. She tries to make the topics easier to understand and interesting by throwing in funny analogies during lectures. Do the work she assigns, it really pays off. One semester later and I still remember a lot of the concepts- which says a lot.
Dr. J is a great lady. She is kinda hard to understand sometimes but she is a great teacher. She tells you exactly what will be expected on the test. She goes with her own flow and does not go directly from the book. There are study guides for each test and she offers extra credit in both lecture and lab.
Dr. J was super helpful! Listening in lecture is what made the material really stick w/ me. Labs were a little tougher to get through some days. Her exams are as difficult as one should expect in an anatomy class (tons of info!). But if you really apply yourself it shouldn't be too bad! She gives tons of extra credit and she's super understanding.
Dr. Jadhav is awesome. She is interested in the students understanding and learning the material. She is beyond fair and very understanding. Highly recommend taking any course with her. Only reason I gave her a 4 for clarity is that she has an accent, as English is not her native language.
Dr. Jadhav has a thick accent, so sometimes it was hard to hear what she was saying. She only lectures during the first class so it can get boring. Labs never last as long as they say on the schedule- we normally get out at least 30 mins to an hour early. Her tests and hard, if you don't study. Most of the test comes straight from her powerpoints,
do not take her, she is really nice and care about her student but nothing that is in the study guide will be in the test so there is no point on her giving. she tells you to study the study guide but you will fail the test because non of the material is on the exam
Be ready to study a lot, she says her exams come from the study guide they don't you have to study from eveything the book and also the PowerPoint.
Professor Geeta, is extremely rude and expects you to remember an extreme amount of information in a short amount of time. Her study guides are no help and you should just study the entire power point and wish for the best. She isn't very clear on her instructions and she gets frustrated when no one understands.
Dr. Jadhav is one of the most caring professors I have ever had at NOVA. She knows her stuff and tries to find different ways to help us understand the material. Do the work and you will be fine.
nice lady, have an accent but not so hard to understand. however, her lecture and study guide does not match the test. test and quizzes are extremely tough. doesn't have extra credit or curve, prepare to work since there is lots of hw and study on your own. not very organizes with her class. the best you can get is probably an B. regret taking her.
I'm retaking this class because my previous teacher was horrible. I think bio141 is just a horrible class. She's a great knowledgeable teCher bu t bio141 is so much info shoved at you. If you love science and anatomy and do well in it you'll be fine. You need to study a lot
She is amazing. The class is hard, but she legit cares, is hilarious and does cover everything as long as you pay attention and read. I learned so so much and loved it.
Makes the information easier to understand, explains things in a clear manner. Really likes it when students ask good questions. Is strict about classwork, but gives extra credit at the end of all of the tests. All homework is straight from the textbook, so she forces you to read it! Take advantage of the lecture powerpoints she puts on backboard.
this has been the hardest class I've ever taken. she is very caring and will take the time to help you. her study guides for the tests do help a ton. there is no extra credit but she does drop your worst test grade. my major doesn't require this specific bio class and I regret taking it.
Take with caution! No syllabus. Tells class when the next test/quiz is w/o posting it anywhere so you're out of luck if you didn't hear it. No extra credit, her PPs of each chapter is at least 100 slides each!! VERY easy to get overwhelmed. Talks fast and has a thick accent. Tests are mult choice. Very smart and respected but not my teaching style.
She is a great professor, she knows her material well and explains it in interesting ways. I'm retaking this class and I feel that the subject is just hard and has a lot of material. You have to work hard in this class, but she gives extra credit and is really helpful during office hours.
She is the best professor. She gives extra credits, so students can drop their lowest grade. Her lecture is amazing. She gives good feedback for the test.
She has a very thick accent and you will have to guess 50% of the things she says. She just lectures from the slides and won't give you a proper study guide before the exam. Her tests are detailed information-based. Also, her labs are very overwhelming. She makes pretty hard lab practicals. If you don't study very hard you will automatically fail
She does not give extra credit. Her tests are pretty detailed and way too hard. She likes to scold people in front of everyone. She does not care if you have a difficult time understanding something. She makes you buy an expensive textbook and you will be just wasting your money.
Terrible. Admits english isn't her first language but insists on teaching one of the heaviest terminology based courses in existence. The lectures are a mess to listen too, the stidy guides are about as helpful as throwing a brick to a drowning person, and don't expect much feedback in class. She loves to mock students for not knowing everything.
She does have an accent but we can understand what shes saying. Some people have hard time understanding her because the class has heavy terminology. She knows her stuff and explains everything throughly. Tests could be difficult but she posts a study guide and if you follow it you should be fine. You will have to study hard.
If you care at all about your grade or your GPA, don't bother. I should have dropped her class the same day it began. Heck, I should have dropped it the moment I saw her syllabus. She DOES NOT offer extra credit (even if you ask). You have a ONE TIME CHANCE to take assignments, tests, and quizzes. She doesn't help you. 0/5
taking this class online right now fall of 2020. Terrible syllabus. No due dates until the last minute. We did our first lab beginning of September and its still not graded. Her reasoning was that she was taking a class. Mind that we did three labs so far and none have been graded. Study guide was no help for the exam. Very heavy accent.
She has a terrible accent and does not grade the assignments on time. She does not give extra credits. Basically does not care about her students at all. Don't take her if you care about your GPA!!!!
She doesnt listen to students, doesnt to emails respond on time and when she does her answers are vague and dont answer what is being asked. all of her quizzes are one minute per question and she gives all three practicals and tests in one day back to back. these make up the majority of your grade. it is impossible to get anything higher than B.
Online class. Seemed very unorganized throughout the whole semester. Difficult to understand and when you ask a question she goes off on a tangent and tries to answer it with a metaphor or just completely misses the point of the question. Not bad if you have background knowledge of anatomy, but not great if you're new to the subject
Online class? Disorganized. Be careful when trying to give feedback about the course, she takes a lot of things personally. She can explain a concept one way, then change it again and confuse you. She grades very late, most of your grade or work you won't know what it is until the last day of the semester. Would not take her again.
Huge communication issues with her. Consistent organizational errors in canvas. Lectures consisted of mostly pictures (have to take notes on her voice mostly). Study guides were quite broad. Had to retake due to these factors and of course online school struggles. If you struggle with online school, I wouldnt take her class. Im a 3.7 student.
there is a lot of homework and if you are having trouble turning things in on canvas she wouldn't help with that so you would not get the credit for doing the work and she would even say it would be the student's fault
Not even two weeks in she email the class and says "stop emailing me". She took forever to respond to any question (if at all). She constantly changed assignment due dates and did not feel the need to mention it to the class. Awful, awful, awful. Please stay away.
she sucks, study guides did not align with practical test. Didn't give anyone the extra credit from the homework's. very heavy accent and could barely understand her. do not recommend, take class with anyone else!!!!
She was nice but doesn't grade anything until the end of the semester and only accepts printed-out lab sheets. and since I only had her for lab I had no idea where I was in terms of grading. Her final exam was also hard, everyone in my class failed the practical.
She makes us print out prelabs and doesn't even grade them until the end of the semester. She tests with scantrons and does practicals on paper that don't even make sense. She doesn't respond to emails, doesn't have anything for extra credit and has a zero tolerance for late work. Your lab grade will only be your practical scores. Do not recommend
Do not take. Listen to what she did with me very closely, as a high honor roll student, please save yourself and your sanity. She shocked me with her unprofessional and unethical behavior, I have proof of her pressuring me into a bribe. She refused to grade my HW and when asked, she went ahead and lowered my grade further. Pls document everything!
Worst teaching style, you will only pass if you teach yourself, DO NOT TAKE! Multiple classmates of mine said she messed with their grades. She waited until the last day of the semester to change and lower multiple of their scores. REPORT & REPORT ! There is evidence of her immoral actions and unprofessional behavior, shocking as she is old! RUN
I have spoke with students from all of her classes, to summarize: BAD & UNFAIR! STAY FAR AWAY! Can't you see even the smartest kids don't like her, so REPORT! She LIES and TRICKS, bribery, these good reviews are fake swear to GOD! Always remember: take pictures of everything for proof! SUE & REPORT for inhumane behavior. We must tell ADMIN RN! RUN
She has lied to many of us and we have evidence. Do not take her, she is very old and never finishes the unit before an exam. Report these bad teachers, all of them, it's their job to teach and they get paid for it, instead they turn around and bully and harass and threaten their students! We have PROOF! report and sue for emotional distress!
Just look below, how many of us are warning you. Do not be shy, you must be brave and stand up for whenever you are wronged. Always record the evidence and then report every detail. Never take her class or you will regret it, if the smart kids who won awards regret it, then that means a lot. Report any unethical behavior always, stand together!
Dishonest, immoral, and fraudulent. Listen to me and everyone below, we are award-winning students. Tell on anyone and everyone, don't be scared... this is America, the best Country! Freedom of speech, report deceitful behavior always, especially if it comes from someone who should be TEACHING, instead they bully and threaten. REPORT and RUN, pls..
Waited on purpose until the very last day when us students are already off to mess with our grades and send messages with intended attitude and rudeness. She is very unprofessional and should not have this job, and students get late penalty, how about when the teachers deceive and lower OLD grades on the LAST day.. they must be punished, eye 4 eye!
Gave us all a headache as you can see below, she better watch her back now because we are all coming for her! You messed with the wrong guy! Karma will be served :) You are finished Lady!
Funny how she probably thought nobody would speak up and tell the truth on her but here all of us are so stay away, report her and all other unethical teachers who do wrong and bully and threaten and harass stay away report and run, and she better watch her back because everybody is coming for her respectfully, of course justice will be served :)
Stay away.. she will give you a 0 if she doesn't like you
Cannot teach, recorded multiple videos because she didn't finish her lecture in class. Would send it out the day before exams.. this is wrong and not fair. How can we learn like this? Please admin fire her and report her, thank you, do not take her class
To you reading this, please go ahead and truthfully rate and leave reviews for all teachers. Do not allow them to use your grades as leverage for their incompetence and immoral behavior. She cannot teach to save herself, thank u
Thank god everyone is finally speaking out. I used to wonder why her rating was so low, but i understand it now.. btw be ready to teach yourself and have sleepless nights, she won't finish her yapping..
Very difficult to understand..
Took her multiple months to grade hw from the beginning of September. We could not tell where we stood until the last days...
I say take anyone but her, study guides were not even close to the tests. Lecture slides did not make sense, her slides were mainly pictures. I felt like there was no point in showing up to lectures because either way I didn't learn anything from what she was teaching.
Professor Geeta Jandhav was unprofessional, rude, and unresponsive. Her slides were disorganized, and didn't make any sense, her tests didn't match the material taught. She showed no care for students or their grades and refused to provide feedback. Overall, this was a frustrating and negative experience. Avoid her class if you can.
Study guides were totally unreliable when compared to the tests, get ready to teach yourself everything with little to no clear information on the lecture slides. No feedback is given on homework or tests, and gives incomplete or useless answers to questions in class. Awful response time, doesn't follow up on her own word. DO NOT take her class.
Dr. J is a nice person and was pretty lenient with my tardiness. However, she is not very technologically skilled which affects the exams, homework, and lectures to the point where there was a lot of misunderstandings that affected my grades heavily. Her accent is also hard to understand at times but I wouldn't count that against her.
She was fine at first. Once she accused me of a certain thing, I asked her questions because I want to know the full story on why she accused me. It is normal to ask questions when you are curious but she said she did not want to be questioned by me anymore and stopped answering my emails. Saw other students say the same thing. Avoid her.
She probably the best bio 141 and bio 142 professor it is hard to understand her but I'm sorry her class is easy I took it online and her only assignment is pearson, writing project assignment and exams so yeah ignore all these other comments she great
If you listened closely in class, you would be okay. She provided a study guide, and I'd say her tests stick to the study guide about 95% of the time. Her lab tests can be challenging. She used sticky tape to mark items for you to identify, but if you're unsure about what she is marking, she is not very approachable when seeking clarification.
I had a very disappointing experience in Professor Jahdav's class. Unfortunately, she came across as consistently rude and unapproachable. Rather than fostering a supportive learning environment, she often dismissed questions and made students feel like a burden for seeking help. Her tone in both email and class interactions was unnecessarily harsh
