Condescending, air headed, and no matter how many office hours you go to she won't say anything helpful. Sat in class once for 15min while she waited for us to solve a problem on the board she never wrote because "she forgot to write it". You won't learn anything useful to pass, but you'll get to see her run/skip around class singing wobble baby.

she doesn't teach you how to do the math problem, but rather just does the problem by herself; so you're just left to copy the board and not actually learn how to do the problem. she has online quizzes which are good but once you get to the exam it's much harder with so many word problems and even if you get the answer right “no work no credit”

The worst professor I have ever had at the university. She makes everything 10x harder than it needs to be and is the biggest ditz. One time she laid down flat on the floor to show us a horizontal line. She is actually insane and constantly singing/running around. It's a shame UM will allow a professor like this.

She's quite chaotic in the classroom, often getting sidetracked and not effectively teaching the material. It feels like there's a lack of focus, and her behavior can be quite unpredictable. She sings and dances more then she teaches.

She never answers emails, acts like a little kid in class (laid on the floor multiple times, ran across the class room, randomly sings, and calls the "x" sign the new twitter which get so annoying), and does not explain how to do the problems. Don't take her class

She's all over the place, solves equations for herself on the board, doesn't explain much, and randomly breaks into song or jokes, usually at the wrong times. Assigns a lot of homework that won't add up to a worthwhile percentage of the final grade for the amount you do and is an extremely subjective/picky grader (doesn't give much partial credit).

Perfect example of a 62 year old college professor with tenure. All I got out of her lectures were her DJ Khaled references. She runs around the classroom and sings in attempt to ease her students frustration from her poor teaching skills. She will not respond to your emails and is very strict when it comes to grades. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!

This was the worst classroom experience I've had at UM. Professor Alberto often acts erratically - running in, lying on the floor, singing, and going on tangents about Twitter. DEFINITELY self study bc she doesn't really teach. If you want to learn, avoid this class. It's shocking the university allows this behavior while claiming academic rigor.

An absolute joke! She doesn't actually teach and then won't respond to your emails begging for help. She clearly has favorites, does not show emotion or concern for her students, and is a complete ditz. It is like she is off some drug every class. I have never had such a dislike towards a professor, she is truly the worst. Shame on UM!!

She is god awful. She can't explain math to Jack. This is my easy-level class, but she makes it my hardest class. AVOID AT ALL COST. Don't let her ruin your overall GPA, and just wait until next semester to take math. I'm switching to another professor or taking a writing class.

Genuinely the worst professor I have ever had. Struggled more in my college algebra class than any of my other courses combined which was a result of her teaching style. She does not care about her students in any regard and truly just seems like she is in another world every class. Listen to all the other reviews they are spot on. Do not take her.

Horrible Professor to avoid at all costs. She shows no emotion or care for students. The last straw was during the diagnostics quiz when she promised there would be a calculator on the software. That was untrue and when I raised my hand for help, she walked over slowly while texting on her phone (loosing time for the quiz) and provided zero help.

Its been only 3 weeks since the semester started. She is genuinely the WORST professor and human being Ive ever seen or met. She doesn't care about anything, no understanding at all. Its IMPOSSIBLE to catch her during office hours or after class as she literally runs away from you. If you wanna pass this class go ahead and take any other professor.

Think of the most mind numbingly boring and unhelpful class you've ever taken and multiply it by ten, that's this class. I'm sure the professor is a very nice person in real life, but my god. How is this woman a teacher at this university?

She literally was the worst professor I've ever had in my life. She was ditsy and danced around the front of the classroom. She calls students out by name to embarrass them and doesn't explain anything. She writes on the board and expects you to know it. Terrible with email and grades so unclearly.

Ok a lot of these reviews are fake but DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF! She seems like a sweet lady but is genuinely neurotic and not meant to teach. She does NOT teach at all, and grades unfairly. The class was literally a joke and it baffles me how the University of Miami hired her in the first place.

This lady was genuinely awful. I had her for both 101 and 107. The 107 class with her was against my will- somehow the original professor got switched. The teaching she does in class feels like an episode of Blue's Clues, and then the tests are so much harder. She's also very weird about late work. Sometimes she takes it from certain people.

Just a bad teacher overall. Avoid her if you can.

Genuinely the worst professor I've ever had. I was bad at math to begin with, and after this class, I was even worse. I had to teach myself everything since she can't explain anything, and she treats students in a condescending manner. I literally hoped a hurricane would wipe out Coral Gables so I wouldn't have to go to her class.
