I think Professor Rucker was quite easy. She doesn't assign too much work. I recommend her for ENC1102.
I took her for humanitites the forum. She was really easy and I barley went to class and got an A.
She assigned to much work in the summer time...

this witch will ruin your average! If you are concerned about it take either Kleinpoppen or Olma
i thought her class was pretty easy
She did assigned a moderate amount of work, but it was not hard. 3 essays, chapter work, 1 project, 3 cultural events, 5 tests 2were take home. Offers lots of chances for extra credit points.
HORRIBLE.... run as fast as you can. It's not so much the work, but her attitude. She is a bitter old woman. She would rather make you feel stupid than help you.
I did all the extra credit in the world for this woman and she still didn't give me an A. What else does she want me to do, stand on my head. Warning, she grades hard!
She will have you jumping through hoops, dancing, bring in food, etc. for extra credit. You will think everything is just wonderful until you get your grade. She grades very hard, you can make A's on every test and she will still give you a B.
I thought the class was pretty easy. As long as you do your work and you actually do somewhat of a quality job, you will get an A. She is a very nice person, especially if you suck up to her. Bring in lots of food, that will make her happy.

I can't believe my RUCKER is getting a bad rap.
This woman has issues, she is very sarcastic when answering a question. The test are ridiculously difficult. Lots of extra credit opportunities, do them all if you hope to get a decent grade. She loves people to suck up to her, so don't. If she lost s
Terrible!!! Don't take her if you care about you gpa
Overall it was ok but there is a lot of work you have todo and a lot of extra credit. If you suck up to her a lot you'll be ok.
You have to teach yourself the material because she doesn't. A lot of extra credit is there if you need it and you will because her tests are hard even though they are open book. Good Luck!
This professor does a great job teaching such a boring subject. All of the test are open book, and you have easy chances to bring up your grade with extra credit, her projects are easy and fun, just sitting through class is the hardest part.
Stay away from the back of the class. She will have you running around like a chicken with your head chopped off doing things for her. Turning off the lights, making copies, passing out papers are just a few of her demands. Queen Rucker will hurt your GPA
Gencie is a wonderful teacher AND person. I am an older student and have had lots of different types of teachers. She is very fair - to the students who say she has you running around - get over it and GROW UP!!!
Grow up!! She's very dedicated and helpful!
Lots of opportunity for extra credit. Assignments are a challenge but are interesting
Professor Rucker is a wonderful professor. She is a extremely helpful and nice person. It was hard, but she helped everyone a lot even it was not class time. If you work hard, you will do well. I was lucky to have her. She is awesome!! Recomended!
CLASS IS SOOOOOOOOOOO EASY!
Lots of homework. It's not a hybrid class, but she makes it one. All tests are done on blackboard, open book. Lots of chances for extra credit. Very strict on essay grades. Overall, if you have enough time, the class is easy.
YES, this class is easy. YES, she is a nice woman. You won't, however, learn much in her class. The class assignments have NOTHING to do with the tests, and I had no idea on how I was doing in her class because she never gave let us know how we did on our essays or projects.
i took ms. rucker for humanities: the foundations, and it was the easiest class ever. the tests are online and open book. she will give lots of extra credit projects to do. i highly recommend her for anyone taking a humanities course.
She is nice, but has horrible teaching skills. Her online tests are opinionated so there are like two or three correct answers on the tests, but you have to guess at which is right. She is not someone I recommend. She isn't very helpful either.
Great class...lots of opportunites to get your score up.
Thia class was awful. She was boring and gave a bunch of B.S.work. If you have time to deal with a lazy teacher who turned a regular class into a hybird class this is for you . If not BEWARE of the beast. haha
great class. very informative, and many opportunities for extra credit. tests are open book, but are pretty tough though. i received an A in her class and if i can do it, anyone can
I learned a lot in her class. She's very fair, gives lots of extra credit if you don't test well. You need to understand how to use a computer and the internet, but is very understanding and helpful if there is trouble. She is an english teacher, so the essays are graded harsly for grammar, but still a good class to take. Highly recommended!

Great class, easy A. All tests are open book, assignments are easy. Prof. Rucker is a great teacher and shows enthusiasm in her work, highly recommended!
Please make the effort to look like you care.
the tests are timed and open book online, but still difficult if you dont study the chapter. Prof. gives lots of homework and extra credit. if you are willing to work you will get a good grade in this class. overall a very nice teacher!
She is very by the book. Wont give you a break if it killed her, lots of work. Not the best attitude
Easy class if you can handle all the homework she dumps on you. Grades harsher than an English teacher on essay(when it is finally given back for you to revise),but she taught English. Nice teacher over all, gives many options for extra credit. The only problem I had is she hands out tons of homework and takes forever to do her part and grade it.
Very easy teacher. Just turn in all the homework and essays and get an A.
She was an easy teacher. Most of everything is done on blackboard and you have the option of doing it by hand if you want. The test are very hard even though they are open book. Half the questions don't even make sense. Easy A or B.
I am taking an online course. She gets back very fast with emails to her and assignments are pretty interesting. Tests are online - open book.
Great class Prof Rucker was very helpful, even though I didn't need much help the class is laid out very clearly. The tests are a little confusing and you can't see what questions you got wrong. No discussion board. I'd take her class again!
I took both of her classes during different semesters and both times the classes were very easy. There are several assignments due each week, but as long as you have them done by each test that they relate to, she will work with you. Very quick to respond to e-mails. Enjoyed the projects she gave and overall her classes her great!Definite Yes!
Professor Rucker is an excellent teacher. She responds to emails in a timely manner, she's very helpful and the work it not that hard as long as you follow the class calendar for your assignments. You have four chapters test with two chapters included on each and two hours to complete them. You can not go wrong with her unless your just "LAZY".
Great teacher. Explained things well and did not overload us with work. My writing/english skills improved tremendously in this class. Would highly recommend her.
Very good online teacher. Class is very structured and deadlines are clear. Tests were easy as long as you read the material and she provided ample time to complete them.
Wonderful class to take. She will do a great job teaching!
I really liked this class after the first few weeks. I took it online, no tests, however........the homework was VERY time consuming, at least 3 hours a week to get a minimum of a B. The three projects were great, you had to get out and experience the city. I have learned more than I ever dreamed I would learn. Awesome class!!
Don't know about Humanities, but English Composition was horrible with her. Her grading was very harsh, and I am an English major. If you do take her, sucking up will work... The two people in my class that brought bagels for her every Saturday both got A's.
Dunno about english but the humanities class was pretty fun and interesting, and easy, took it online.
well just make sure you don't drop anything in her dropbox, cause she won't get it and then she'll lower your letter grade WAY lower than it should be, i got A's on everything, she didn't get one assgnment that i turned in, to her dropbox and she gave me a C! i would not take her again.
This was the easiest class that I have taken and I am at the end of my AA. The test questions are easy to understand, and the assignment questions are in order with the chapter. The 2 reports were super easy, they just took a couple hours each.
I took the hybrid class. I hate ancient history but she made it interesting and was a very flexible, approachable professor. Every e-mail was answered quickly and she was encouraging and kind. The tests were open book but hard. However, when you can earn up to 50pts extra credit who can complain? I would definitely take her again.
Wonderful woman. Very cool into technology.
Great teacher!!! Come to class (the answers to the work are actually discussed in class, so take notes!) She gives TONS of extra credit. Tests are open book. I learned so much from this lady...one of the BEST TEACHERs at Deerwood.
Took this class online, homework is cake..tests online are so hard, you want to pull your hair out. i recommend taking this class at campus if you choose Rucker for your professor. Her tests are the reason i did not make an A.
The excessive volume of questions/coursework in her online class is ABSURD. My Organic chemistry course didn't have nearly as many pointless busywork questions. Don't expect to hear a response to your emails within 72hrs. For a "cake" course, look elsewhere.
I really liked Prof. Rucker. She was a great knowledgable teacher. She will explain so much to you. She likes to have class participation. She gives you so many chances for extra credit. A lot of online work though. I would reccommend anyone to take her class.
Teacher is very nice and willing to help you. However, gives a lot of assignments, 20 -50 essay questions a week, one test a week and two major projects.
I took Humanities in America online! Professor Rucker is awesome. She is very passionate about this subject. She is very quick to answer emails with elaborate responses. You will learn alot! I know I have! I am taking her again in the fall!
Great teacher who really knows her stuff. She will bend over backwards to help you improve your grades. Lots of extra credit available. The only people who did poorly were the one who didn't show up, or do any work.
I took the online version of this class. The coursework is a little ridiculous, expect to spend at least 7 hours a week on homework, if you want an A. The field activities were interesting. You definitely learn a lot, through all the homework!
Very nice professor. People only say nice when they are speechless and can't think of anything else to say. Prof. Rucker is extremely helpful. Her class is fairly easy you do have to read and answer questions, but there are absolutely no tests and only two projects. I'd take another one of her classes definitely. TAKE HER CLASS YOU WONT REGRET IT!!
She loves to talk and illustrate with videos and pictures...gives ample opportunity for extra credit
THE BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD! She is marvelous, very knowledgable and helpful, loves to joke, has a great sense of humor and sets the presedence for other professors. The best class and most fun class I have ever taken. Makes, art and hisory fun. Very easy!
Shes an entertaining character! Though all coursework is on blackboard, expect to spend a lot of time completing the assignments. Tests are all open book to your discretion. JUST REMEMBER... this class will require A LOT OF TIME. She offers easy extra credit points as well. Very easy, but TIME CONSUMING WORK! I can't stress it enough!
She is a very sweet person, really does know her stuff. BUT, the amount of work this class requires you to do is stupid ridiculous. About 60 paragraph questions due every week. All the course work is online, and if there's an error on blackboard while you're taking the test, you're screwed. She will NOT work with you, you'll have to take it again.
As an overall person this teacher was nice. Her class on the other hand is border line horrible. I would wake up at 8 in the morning and stay up until 2 every morning trying to finish her work. Class attendence isnt necessary since you never do anything and leave after an hr of class anyways. Its all online, and every section is ridiclously long.
Ms. Rucker.Wow.Let me put it this way,I went to class twice out of a 12 week class&only stayed for 30 minutes each time.I got a B. I would have gotten an A if I hadn't slacked and done all my work the last week of class. She says she doesn't take late work, but she does. Everything is online.Go for the first class, then don't bother going back haha
Professor Rucker is a wonderful person, will help you in any way she can, gives you plenty of opportunity for extra credit and your two projects are not difficult. Be prepared for some time consuming work on your chapter quizes and some of the test questions are tricky even if you know the material. Overall I learned a lot from the class.
The professor is sweet as can be but the work is very very far from easy! There are sooo many chapter work questions to do... like 60 or so a week and the tests are hard. i think the class average for my class was like a 57 for almost all of the tests. A super hard class and very very time consuming
This class was very time-consuming. The chapter questions each week took up more time than they should. The three projects were not difficult. If you want an "A" do the work. She is a fairly easy grader, but the work seemed mountainous. However, I did learn a lot more about art, if you like that kind of thing.
She is a nice lady, but the work load is extremely HIGH! If you do not complete assignments on her suggested due dates, you will get behind!!! Be prepared for alot of homework and tests!!!!
Professor Rucker is really nice she talks a lot (the whole class) as far as the class it is very easy if you just do the work and you get to take the test 2 times...the only thing that sucks is the work is VERY time consuming but the answers come out the book. overall this class should be a breeze compared to others.
I really appreciate this teachers help. This teacher was really awesome, and cares about the student. You watch lots of engaging videos in class, and she gives extra credit out the butt. Teacher will work with you on due dates and stuff, and I have taken her twice so far and passed. I love this teacher, and for my last Humanities requuired for my A
She is a very nice lady, extremely knowledgeable and funny. Here videos are very interesting. I took both humanities classes with her and I got an A. All you have to do is show up to class and do the homework every week. The tests are open book and you have multiple attempts. Bring food to class and earn extra points. How cool is that!
Awesome teaher! She makes an otherise boring class fun and interesting. A lot of reading, and tests are not cake, but manageable. She is an easy going teacher. DEF TAKE HER!! Easy A!
SHE ROCKS!!!
Do the work and you will get an A. Projects are easy. There is a lot of chapter work but it is EEEEASY!!!!
Easy class! But you have to do all the work in order to get an A
Easy class. She gives lots of bonus work and plenty of time to finish your work. The chapter questions were time consuming but it probably was because I took an 8 week class. I got a B in the class but I would have gotten an A if I hadn't slacked so much. Take this teacher you won't regret it just stay on top of your work and you will get an A.
BEST TEACHER EVER!!! Lots of reading but she gives you plenty of time to do the work. Gives extra credit and will work with you. She is the best!!!
AWESOME TEACHER!! Very straightforward and helpful!! Definitly take her!!!
An easy class. The chapter questions can be a little time consuming, but other than 4 tests and 2 projects, that is all the is required in the class. Attendance is a little pointless because for the most part you just watch the history channel in class. Its a pretty easy A if you do the work.
Very congenial, always there to lend an extra assist to help when faced with writing issues. Would highly recommend.
Great Instructor!!! easy going, tons of extra credit, she gives you every opportunity to get an A! All assignments and exams in blackboard. assignments a bit lengthy but it is school so you have to expect some kind of work!! take her easy A
AWESOME! Questions due every week (easy but time consuming), 3 projects (easy), and 4 quizzes (open book but a bit difficult). More than enough extra credit opportunities! I did horrible on my quizzes but still earned an A. A "work at your own pace" class. Would take her again if I had a chance!
had her for 2210 and 2230, very nice, LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT, LOTS OF BUSY WORK. YOU CAN TAKE TEST 3 TIMES, AND USE BOOK. she is very easy going bring food you get extra credit. you will MAKE AN A
Professor Rucker is a decent teacher. Plenty of extra credit given, a really easy class, and a really nice lady. My problem is with her grading habits. I don't think she has any. Not one assignment was graded throughout the entire semester; I never knew what my grade was until it was official....
I would not recommend this teacher to my biggest rival. She was very unhelpful and required too heavy of a work load. The chapter questions are due every week and take at LEAST 4 hours to complete. Beyond that the tests are horrifying! She has little to no teaching skills.
HATED this class!! work load is ridiculous does not teach at all! projects were fairly easy but the chapter work and test were horrifying takes almost 2 hours per test and atlest 3 hours a chapter question! DONT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!
Professor Rucker is pretty awesome. She is nice, doesn't give busy work, and is really passionate about what she teaches. Class grades were based on discussion board, 3 online tests, class participation (aka attendance) and a presentation. I would totally take her again.
She is a very good teacher, very interested in what she does. You still have to go to class, study, and do your work. People seem to forget that and would like to be handed an "A". 8 DB's, 3 Tests and a Final (all open resource) and a Presentation. I actually became interested in art... I believe she is retiring, but coming back this Fall 2010.
Amazing teacher! I wish I could still take her again!
The first day of class, I was like, oh no, gotta go! It was kinda boring at first but the second class and the ones that followed were great! I learn a great deal about art/history because she's dedicated to what she does. Heck, I've even been inspired to go visit a few more museums, take a few more photos because of her class.
I took his class online and found it hard. The book is like 600 pages long and have 8 chapters. You have 1 chapter a week and 20 questions to answer and you have to complete 3 different projects that require you to visit different places (eg. museum) and complete a project.
Great way to take this course. She's very interactive with the students and does a lot of video lectures. Fun class. A lot of work, but necessary for the subject matter.
Took her for all my humanities classes. Classes are easy IMO. Online 2450 is only 8 chapters of 20 questions, 4 open book quizzes and 2 projects that require you to take pictures. If you can't pass her class you are unlikely to pass anything. She responds to questions almost instantaneously. For a hum class it could not be easier.
I can't believe Professor Rucker doesn't have at least a 4.5. She gives extra credit CONSTANTLY, and even though her assignments are tough, you will learn a ton from doing them right. The projects she has you do are so much FUN! I wish I could take Rucker for every HUM class, and I'd recommend her to anyone.
I recieved an A but i worked very hard for it and spent many hours each week on the homework. you get 3 attempts per test at 1hr 15min and i usually went to 1hr 10 min and retook them all. This class requires a lot of work, but it's interesting and easy otherwise. Also need to do 3 projects where you go around town and take pics, etc, but were fun
You must write a 5-6 sentence answer to twenty questions for each chapter. She is very strict on grammar and syntax. Projects were fun though -- go around town, take pictures and make power points about culture and architecture. She offers plenty of extra credit but is late with grades so you don't know until the last minute if you need it.
I took the online course but the chapter questions are a ton of work. The projects are very simple and fun to do. Mainly just take the time to answer chapter questions and you should get an A.
PRO: The teacher responds to emails in detail. CONS: Homework is a lot of work. Quizzes were hard. Lastly she didn't follow the syllabus when it said all classwork is due by a certain date. 2 days before this date she, without warning takes down all but 2 of the discussion board questions costing me and probably others important points.
Professor Rucker is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. Really enjoyed class.
Prof. Rucker definitely knows what she's talking about! The assignments stay up on BB for most of the semester, but if you don't keep up with them, you will NOT do well. She offers lots of extra credit, which is awesome. All-around good professor to choose!
Do not take this Professor for any online course. She was not helpful at all and seem to not care much. If you email her a question you might get an answer back or you might not. You will get a response from her like well you should of taken or had that in High School. Well, hello, now it is your class. So TEACH IT. do not recommend her at all.
She is very short and rude in her email replies.Has a problem managing her work load and expects the students to wait on grades. She takes 2-3 days to reply by phone or email. Don't take her I had to get my replies in writing to avoid issues with grades. Currently a week away from grad and have no clue my grade status.
Horrible teach, could never get a response to any questions I had about assignments. The few times I did get responses from her she was very rude. Takes forever to post grades. My course is over and still waiting on grades from the first few assignments due.
Not to hard of a class. 2 papers and 1 project which was fun. It was hard to get her to respond to e-mails. Her question are paragraph 20 each chapter. Not hard just takes alittle bit of time. easy A but will take up a few hours a week. Learned some cool stuff though
I absolutely recommend Professor Rucker! In most classes I have online, they require a lot of work, and I barely keep interest, but this was by far the best class I've taken. Although in Discussion forums and homework you have to be thorough and detailed, I enjoyed it 100%!
Professor Rucker is very helpful, reasonable and down to earth person. I respect her a lot
Work consisted of 1 DB and 12 Ch. Questions a week, 2 projects and 4 quizzes. I kind of rushed through the first set of chapter questions. Big mistake, 3550. I spent 2-3 hours a week in homework. Lots of reading but I feel like I definitely learned valuable information. The projects were quite fun as it requires visiting places around town.
There's quite a bit of homework to do in this class, but everything is open book, even tests. She offered plenty of extra credit, 2 fairly easy projects. She had a habit of continuously talking about herself and her likes/dislikes. Tests and HW often had questions from the wrong chapter, or not in the book. Her grading offered no feedback.
Professor Rucker is passionate about her subject, but her teaching style doesn't really rely on teaching so much as just talking about humanities and giving tests and chapter questions from the website for the book.
She take points off if you don't answer the questions she has in her head. Yep, you need to be a mind-reader if you are taking her class. She talks A LOT about herself! Thank goodness she offers A LOT of extra credit.
