Great Teacher. Makes the class interesting, not just a straightfoward, tedious lecture from the book. Include class activites and videos (Dave Chappell!) that are not only interesting and fun, but educational. Very laid-back and a joker! I fully recommend this professor for psych 1A!

Dr. Ano is a great professor. Uses real world examples and entertanining video clips to demonstrate the material. This creates a much better functioning understanding of the material and makes the class fun and exciting. I learned a lot in this class.

I had a lot of fun in this class! It's not hard to get an A if you go to class, pay attention, and read the book. He jokes around a lot and keeps the class active. He even makes the test questions fun and relates everything to real life so it's a lot easier to find the right answer. I definitely recommend this professor!

Fairly good professor. Most of his assignment is easy and straight to the point, however you definitely need to study for his exam if you want a good grade. He always gives you study guide before test, and the test always follows the study guide. You will learn a lot of stuff in his class, but don't slack off or you will fail his class.

Dr. Ano is soo awesome!! I loved his class. He definitely took the time to get down to eye level with his students. A pretty good professor but still has some work to do He was fun, but sometimes it felt like he was more interested in identifying with his students than teaching the lesson. His comments can sometimes be offensive, so you have to have a sense of humor to take him. If you want a fun teacher take him if you want to learn you might take someone else.

He was a good teacher. He made class go by fast and made it enjoyable at the same time. He brought clarity to certain topics by using hilarious videos . His tests weren't even that bad because he used the names of students and put them into funny hypothetical situations.

Hell great class that I've ever taken. He's pretty cool and chill. All his exams are from his study guide for sure, and also some "interesting video" for the extra 10 point for each exam. Dr. Ano is really cool. Gives out handouts for every chapter. He uses Blackboard. Makes you participate, but it's cool. Don't underestimate him though. He's cool, but his tests are tough. "Don't get it twisted". Study! I reccomend him.

This professor means well. He is overall a good instructor, but beware his tests are literal. His class is fun, but don't let that fool you. I read every chapter to follow along, and it helped me clarify what he was talking about. The book gives more examples. I got an A. I reccommend to anyone who is hard working.

Dr. Ano is by far the coolest professor on campus. he knows what students like to hear. So he pretty much talks to you like hes a student. Theres barley any hw, and theres only 3 tests. His tests can get a lil tough, but he makes up for it by being badass. just study the study guides and you should be alright. I would totally take him again!

He's a cool, funny, and entertaining teacher. But if you're a "college" student, his class/lectures are kinda a joke. He spends way too much time on comedy clips & awkward, interactive activities in order to get the "slower" ones to understand. It's very much a "high school" level CC class. EASY to get a 'B' in, a little harder to get an 'A.'

He's funny and class was never boring. Attendance is mandatory, 3 papers, 3 exams, and participation. He gives a studyguide for each exam so as long as you study you're good. Anybody can get an "A" in his class if not at least a "B". Take his class!

Awesome professor I took him for Psych 1A online and for Psych 26 in class. Very engaging class loves hearing different peoples opinion. Gives extra credit throughout the semester, requires group paticipation a few times a month. Just an overall great professor. Tries to embaress you and makes you think about things from a wide perspective.

Easy as hell. Tests come down to just vocab quizzes. Lots of comedy central and jokes in this class. Overall it was a good experience but I did not like how he graded the papers.

AMAZING teacher, I'm so glad I chose him as a teacher. Content was a little tough, but Dr. Ano made it easy to understand. TAKE THE ONLINE CLASS! It was easy, and I learned a lot. There are assignments due every week but it's straight from the reading. They help you prepare for the online tests.

You really have to do the study guides and actually study them to pass the class. I didn't mind because he made the class a fun environment and made learning fun. Again, tests are difficult if you don't know the material. He is an amzing professor and I would love to take other classes of his. He really applies all the information to real life!

DOCTOR Ano has been my favorite prof. at Mount Sac thus far. He is a great teacher and drives home how responsible you are for your success. It was like listening to an inspirational speakerpersonal coach a couple times a week. His tests are EASY IF YOU STUDY.

great personality helps students succeed very motivational and inspiring but don't let the smile fool you study the study guides he gives you don't miss a class and always participate and you will be fine TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!

Psychology is my major and I hadn't been able to find a good professor until him. He loves to joke around and has a big ego lol but also has a big heart. Papers are pretty easy and tests are tough if you dont make sure to study and take detailed notes.

One of the best teachers I have ever had , if you really want to learn more about life and the topic of psychology of sexuality he is the number one choice you want to go to . I will always remember him . He is the best! So much fun and you learn a lot . He inspires his students and makes u feel super comfortable.

Dr Ano is one of the best professors at Mt Sac hands down. He makes everybody feel super comfortable and is very understanding no matter the background of the student. The only downside is his mandatory attendance, BUT you would not want to miss class. He's very inspirational and his lectures go by extremely quick. Definitely recommend 10/10.

He's, a okay professor. If your not a very good test taker I wouldn't recommend him. He's grading is very straight forward and his test are about 70% of your grade. He's grades hard on essays and dosent really give to much extra credit, if you call more questions on a exam extra credit

Such an amazing teacher, as a class it was a great experience and although I had to take it for credit I'm glad I did, I would take it again. He has such a way of teaching touchy and awkward subjects in a way so you don't feel uncomfortable. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to take PSYCH 26. Remember grades aren't given they are earned.

The tests tell scenarios and ask what concept is being expressed in the scenario. The tests are also straight from the notes and study guides are provided. He shows videos that display the concepts covered in class and these aren't your ordinary educational videos. I always felt his class in a better mood. Recommend to anyone going to take PSYC 1

I've taken Professor Ano twice for Psyc 1A and Psyc 26 and would recommend him to anyone. He is hilarious and his class is not boring. Does require class participation, usually asks opinion on topics being discussed in class. He uses PowerPoint for lectures, all the answers to the exam are in the PowerPoint. If you study you will pass.

for anyone that wants to get by in Psych 1A, i suggest you take Ano's Psych 1A "Online Class". he gives you three chances on passing quizzes, Exams and the Final Exam, so it is impossible to get a C in his Class

BEST professor ever please take him, he is so funny and knows a lot. He makes us think critical about serious topics, gives study guide & notes from power poin the only thing is that he really wants you to take responsibility for your grade so if you made a mistake he dosent care to hear you out the grade you get is final, no extra credit so study!

I took him for an online class, and I loved it. The tests were pretty straight forward. Do the homework, learn the terms and I'm sure you can pass with a well earned and not so difficult A.

Inspired by the end of semester rap ;) Professor Ano is a great and thorough professor. His lectures are based off PowerPoint, but he goes in-depth by using examples and encouraging us to participate. His class is funny and informative. I would definitely recommend his class to my friends.

This teacher was amazing. You can really tell he loves his job and loves to educate people. He was very refreshing and i made a great choice taking this class. It was very informative and the test were easy enough if you actually studied he gives you a study guide! Missing a class or two isnt that much of a big deal if you get the notes

If you attend each class you earn participation points. He also offers extra credit. If you go to class and turn in the work and don't do so great on the exams you will pass. He makes people participate and work in groups for in class activities. The notes are provided before hand and you fill them in during the lecture which is enjoyable.

Put in the work, show up to class & you are bound to pass. Dr. Ano really cares, so should you.

I had to study and read in order to understand, he offers lecture notes (which are great). The online class was better for me, I had a flexible schedule. :)

Dr. Gene is a very nice professor! He cares about students and he really wants his students to be successful. Two papers and three tests. Tests are based on lecture notes so review the notes and you will be good! He is very funny and the lectures are interesting.

Phenomenal professor. I enrolled in his Psych 1A and Psych 26 courses and would gladly enroll in his others. Very funny, inspirational, intelligent, and caring. His class is a "you get what you put into it" course so print out his notes, pay attention in class, and participate (this means showing up to class!). Gives a study guide for exams!

He's a great teacher, has an unorthodox style but it works for all the different students with different learning styles! He actually cares about his students, is very honest, very real. The fact that he makes it an effort to know each student by name says it all. He's a great teacher, you will not regret having him as a professor!

Gene Ano was the best professor I have ever taken at mt sac. He makes an awkward subject super fun and chill. He is so caring for his students and will always be there if you need him. His tests are easy if you study the notes!

Good teacher, but he doesn't really add much extra from sources other than the textbook- I did not like this. You can pretty much teach yourself. Notes consist of filling in blank spaces in a packet he hands out that mirror his presentations. Study this and it should be an easy-A. There are many group activities, which help make the class fun.

Professor Ano is AMAZING! I took his online class this winter and all I could say is if you can get him take him you won't regret it. Everything he teaches and posts is very understandable and you never second guess yourself. He does reply to your messages in a timely manner, and if you have any questions he makes sure you understand it fully.

The best professor Ive ever had!!! I honestly cant say enough great things about him. Hes funny, helpful and down to earth. He loves what he does and really will have an impact on your life. He really cares. You do have to earn your grade but that should be expected

Not really any homework to do but his exams are extremely difficult. I failed all three exams but did great on my papers and did all the extra credit assignments and passed with a C. He's funny but STUDY HARD for the exams. I recommend if you want less course work. Gives extra credit through attendance so don't miss class if you want to pass.

Definitely take this professor. This guy is very straight up with assignments and life in general. Just do what you are told and you will pass for sure.

Took him Fall 2017. As a skeptic, I was not excited to take his course. However, he really welcomed me into the class & was very warming and funny. He is 1 of the most transparent & honest professors you can find & will not hide anything from you. Very inspirational. Although not a difficult class, you will learn a lot, assuming you show up.

Took this class Fall 2019, Dr. Ano is such an amazing professor. He provides extra credit and is pretty lenient on grading. Study hard for his 3 exams, do the discussion posts and take all extra credit. Youll pass the class and gain some very useful stuff from the course. Loved that class!

The only class I looked forward to all term. Dr. Ano is hilarious, interactive, and loves answering questions for clarification. I'm a psych major and taking his psyc 26 class in the spring. Lectures are fill in the blank, provides study guides for his 3 exams, weekly discussion posts. Best of all, he's an extremely fast grader. Love this guy.

Never liked psychology- but after this class, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it! If you put in the work, it's easy to get an A. Exams are based off of his notes. Grades quickly and offers help outside of class. A lot of extra credit and very straight forward with grades. Amazing professor and caring guy. Highly recommend taking his class!

Cant recommend him enough. So amazing and motivational. Every lecture is amazing and hes so hilarious. Best teacher Ive had that has given me a good laugh and you learn so much! You have 3 test, and no final! He gives you a study guide for each test! Notes are really clear to understand! Hes amazing!

This teacher really is a hidden gem. He gives you everything you need for the whole semester so just read and study what you need. Also, it's not really mandatory to show up to class, but his lectures are really funny. He sprinkles some Dave Chappelle and other comedians to make the lecture interesting.

Listen, there's not many classes where you get to watch stand up comedy skits at part of your lecture, so this was a good class. Open and honest, and very patient with even the most salty of salmon like myself. Teases a bit to keep things loose, so if you take yourself too seriously, maybe not the professor for you.

I took this course online. All his online assignments are available at the beginning of the course so you can work at your own pace. Lots of busywork that is unrelated to the class - mainly watching his inspirational videos on Youtube and commenting on them. Quizzes and exams are open-book and most questions aren't hard to Google.

Took his class in Fall 2017. Super late, sorry. As a professor, he is very kind, forgiving, and clear. His attitude is genuine. However I would like to commend this man for helping me through very rough times. During class, he left class everyday stating if we need ANYTHING (and he meant it), he would be willing to listen, and he did. Thank you.

his online psych class was relatively easy, journals, discussions and 2 replies. the only part of the class that was difficult were the test homework was also easy. syllabus was pretty much straight forward and he grades pretty quickly. if theres ever anything that happens were he has to change the date he'll let you know in advance.

Took the class just for the credit and because it seemed interesting, however, I didn't know that it was going to have such a big influence on me! Professor Ano is truly an inspiration for anyone and his dedication/passion for not only his students but psychology is amazing! Would definitely take it again! The textbook is not mandatory but helpful.

Very easy class to get an A in as long as you do the work. Tests are relatively easy and the questions arent hard to google if you are uncertain. Overall, great professor.

This class is an easy A! Homework is 3 assignments every week on a chapter that consists of vocabs, writing journals, and a DQ. There are 2 midterms, 5 quizzes, and a 150 question final that are all timed by the number of questions. Overall a great professor with clear expectations and makes online learning enjoyable. :)

Took asynchronous. So glad I took this class! I wish I got to know him irl bc he seems like such a fun & caring guy! He posted all the assignments the week before class even started so you could manage your time. There's 3 assignments per chapter & they're super easy. The quizzes & tests are also open-book! Easy-A, take him!! He's amazing!!

I took him in the winter. He has an assignment for each chapter (15) along with 10 personal journal discussions and 15 multimedia discussions. There was 3 exams and 5 quizzes (all mc). Assignments were due Saturday. Get the book you will need it. Although the work may be heavy, it isnt hard and I liked the professor! I would take him again!

Took for the winter, requires textbook; however it can be easily found online. A PowerPoint for each chapter is provided. 3 assignments each week: one activity that usually had between 6-8 pages, a 15-30 minute video with 2 questions, and a 5 minute video with 2 questions. 5 quizzes, 3 exams. Everything is due on Saturdays. Awesome class!

Professor Ano was a really great professor. The way his class is arranged is clear and straightforward. I took his class in the winter of 2021 and was a lot of workloads but consistent. Lecture and critical thinking activity per chapter. He gave quizzes of 15 questions every 3 chapters and an exam of 100 questions every 5 chapters.

I took him for Winter semester during Covid, there is a lot of assignments but as long as you get them done you will be fine. He is a quick & easy grader, exams are every 5 chapters each w/100 questions. His class is organized and straightforward. Take the time to do assignments & tests will be easy. I wish I had the chance to take him irl.

His videos are very good. The textbook is good to read. He did not teach anything about the course. Homeworks can be found in Quizlet. He never gives any feedback. He will give you full credit as long as you finish your homework. Zero extra help. Do your job you will pass. if you want to learn psychology knowledge, don't take him.

If you do all the assignments on time, you will get A grade. The textbook is helpful for you to complete the assignments. The lectures are organized, the exams are not easy but you can search the information by using google.

Dr. Ano is a great professor. His class is straightforward and he releases all the assignments a week before class starts so you are able to get ahead. If you plan it out correctly you can skip a couple of chapters and still get an A. Easy class.

EASY A! I took it and literally finished the course work for the week in 1 day. 1 critical thinking assignment and 2 discussions a week with the occasional quiz. He doesn't accept late work unless canvas is having issues so turn in your assignments on time. Take him if you want a light load.

Taken virtually your grade comes from quizzes, worksheets, tests, and discussion board posts. Professor has set up the course really well for online you have a whole week to get everything done for that given week. Easy A, but if you are genuinely looking to learn the material maybe look else were. No live or prerecorded lectures.

He is a very down to earth person, who is very good at making class be interesting. When I took PSYC26, I actually looked forward to going to school Tuesday and Thursday. Would definitely take again.

As long as you finish your assignment, you will get full credit! It was an easy A for a prerequisite that I needed. There was a lot of busy work but doable and the tests/quizzes weren't hard. If you need a class that's an easy A, I would definitely take this class!

Professor Ano's class was amazing. It consisted of weekly discussions, inspirational discussions from his youtube, and quizzes. I enjoyed his class it was very easy to navigate and my major is Psychology so I enjoyed his class and the way he made his lectures online, I was in his Spring 2021 class.

If ur looking for an easy A & not a psych major, take this class! I took asynchronous & it was the easiest A! Opens the entire course, no lectures, open book/notes for test/quizzes (easy, just Google), no time limit on tests/quizzes. He is very FAIR. Does 4 min motivational videos instead of having us write a research paper.

Professor Ano was very clear on his class guidelines before starting this course. All of his work is really well organized with clear indications of due dates ahead of time. His asynchronous course was extremely reasonable with the amount assignments and easy grading. I highly recommend this class for as it's a stress-free and easy-going course.

This class is an easy A! The work in this class only took me less than 2 hours a week. There are 5 quizzes, 2 exams, and the final. Only thing is, the teacher does not accept late work!

Took Professor Ano for Psychology 1A in Fall 2021. It is an Asynchronous so you are responsible for your grade. All assignments for the entire semester are available on Day 1. Participate in all the discussions and follow the grading scale. Replying to classmates and word count matter. All quizzes & tests are open book. Easy A if you do the work.

Took for spring 2022. Everything is due on Saturdays, overall a very easy course, He has everything laid out perfectly.

Took him for psych 1a and then psych 1b. his class was set up both the same which is 1 discussion post, 1 critical thinking activity (filling in the blanks from the chapter terms) and sometimes a test/exam. super super easy class. great professor. his expectations are clear. 10000% recommend if science or bio isnt your strong suit

I didn't like his class very much. He gave way too much homework and wasn't really helpful. Gives absolutely no explanation for the low grades!

Dr. Ano is an amazing professor. He is approachable and doesn't make his class feel like a chore. Modules are opened for the whole semester so you can get ahead on the assignments if you wish to.

took him fall'21, asyn. if ur looking for an easy a, take him. all assignments r due sat 11:59pm with NO EXCEPTIONS (valid bc u have an entire week). everything was open book/open search and he grades assignments by completion. he was also a chill dude. i recommend taking him

Easy A+. There are A LOT of discussion posts along with quizzes, 2 midterms, and a final. However, literally, ALL answers for exams and critical thinking are on Quizlet/Coursehero. Textbook is "required" but I got through with an A+ BSing everything + quizlet. Doubt he actually checks assignments. Easy extra credit as well.

genuinely cares about you. unlike all the other classes I've taken, he actually makes going to class fun and makes. literally looking forward to being in his class. I took him when Covid was barely starting so it was in person and the other half we had to transition to online and the transition was very smooth with a lot of guidance.

Class is straight forward, only requirement, all work is due Saturday, no late work. Class is optional, you don't have to show up nor do you have to take your tests in class. Tests online, open note, open notebook. Those who show up its a great class, lots of discussions. We were all awkward at the beginning but in the end we all became friends.

Professor Ano is amazing! There is not weighted mean in his class so all of the assignments add up towards your grade. He does give lots of assignments but they are really interesting and even if you don't do a couple of them you can still end up with a really good grade. He is overall really great and would suggest to take him.

Dr. Ano is very knowledgeable in his space and is happy to share feedback with you if you reach out. The class was well prepared and outlined which makes it less stressful since you know what to expect. I highly recommend getting ahead in the class because he leaves the assignments open which means you can work on next week's homework this week.

This is the 2nd time I've taken a psychology class with Prof. Ano and he is great. He makes his assignments clear and straight to the point. He assigns a multi-media discussion and a critical thinking activity every single week which can be tedious but you always know what to expect. If you aren't a PSYCH major and want an easy A, take this course.

EXTREMELY EASY CLASS. Exactly the same course layout as PSYC 1A. I never touched the textbook and got a 98. The critical thinking assignments are a little time-consuming but by no means hard. All weekly quizzes, midterm, and final are on Quizlet while the critical thinking is on Coursehero! Highly recommend for a chill GE course.

Gene is one of the best Professors out there. I had him over the spring for PSYCH 1A and his Classes are pretty straightforward, There is one activity with questions per week based on the textbook and 2 discussions per week. There are about 5 quizzes and 3 Tests. He opens the whole course up from the start so you can get ahead.

Homework and test are neatly assigned from start to end. Every week, you have the same task. These tasked mostly consist of going through his PowerPoint lectures and watching videos to answer assignments. One of the videos are really motivating. Even though its an online class, there's a great learning environment in his assignment comment section

Dr. Gene is one of the best here at Mt. Sac! His lectures are great and his grading and assignment structure is extremely straight forward. The critical thinking activities are great and participation in the discussion boards is key, with that in mind it's a fun class with an easy A

I took him for PSYC 1A. Easy class, a lot of homework every week, but it isn't too hard, just very time consuming. Some of his videos for the journal applications were pretty inspirational. Pay attention to his directions for discussion posts, do your homework and tests on time, and you should pass with an A no problem.

Professor opened the course one week early. Instead of doing the course in 16 weeks, students were allowed to do all of it immediately. It is absolutely reasonable that a person completes the entire course in one week minus the discussion replies (have to wait for other students to post). Exams were open book. One of the better Professors.

Prof. Ano is engaging and makes the class fun. The assignments are challenging but manageable, and unstuck study has been a great study tool. Overall, a solid class with an easy A if you stay on top of the work.

Made work very accessible. You can find the textbook online if you try. Lecture is on slideshows which he keeps online provided for access. No late assignments accepted. Just follow instructions on video assignments and you're good. Overall easy if you pay attention.

Professor Ano's grading criteria is very clear. Some things are graded according to completion. There are extra credit opportunities given at the end of the semester. The discussion posts seem long at first, but you get used to it quick. Honestly, the posts helped me with other classes.

Professor Ano's class is pretty easy, as long as you do the work and participate, you should pass with an A with flying colors. I took his class for fast track, and for it to be a fast track class, the pace is easily manageable, especially while taking other full-term courses. It's a lot of reading, but I highly recommend it.

Professor Ano has very fun and engaging lectures and grades assignments really fast and has very clear instructions. You can also tell he genuinely cares for his students and is by far my favorite professor.

This was a pretty easy class and I was able to do a lot of the work ahead of time since it was online. There are about two discussions and critical activities to do each week and the way he grades discussions is by word count. (300 words per discussion plus 3 different 50-word replies to classmates. Overall hes pretty easy, I would take it again.

I would recommend taking Professor Ano's class if you don't have a flexible schedule and need to take psych 1A. The workload is fair and assignments are open super early so you can get a head start! No late submissions. It's also not necessary to purchase a textbook (free access to an online textbook if still available) or use quizlet to study.

This professor is straightforward. He gives no extra credit and he's tough with deadlines. If you're fine with that, then take him. If you know you procrastinate, do NOT take him. He will not work with you. That being said, he does provide a heavy work load but its easy material for the most part. Goodluck!
