knows his stuff but can't teach. talks REALLY fast assuming you know everything already, so most of the things he says you can't really grasp cause he just goes on and on. hard tests. study guides too broad. take another teacher unless you are full on motivated and good at teaching yourself things, cause that's what this class basically is.
Nice guy but doesn't know how to teach. He seems to find ways to make his exams more complicated than they should be. He takes extremely long breaks...up to 45 minutes at times when he should be available to students for questions especially during lab period. Find another professor. I don't recommend him at all!
3 Lecture tests + 5 Lab Practicals + many pop quizzes = STUDY. Lecture notes aren't posted before the lectures so its hard to follow him. And even when they are, the lecture notes aren't in line with the order of his lecture. Just study everything he mentions during lecture, and go over cadaver & models until you're sick of them, & you'll pass.
horrible! talks TOO fast, study guides are too broad, lecture notes online are not as helpful as actually taking them yourself..i understand it's hard, it requires a ton of studying, so that's my own fault. it is just TOO HARD to understand his lectures.
Basically look prini off his powerpoints and write doen as much as he says. Treat everything like an esssay questiona and you will pass. He is under the impression you already know this and ignore the fact he thinks his kids are as smart as you. Out of class of 30 only 6 had A grade. Know more than what is stufy guides or lecture notes. He tricky
Basically print off his powerpoints and write down as much as he says. Treat everything like an esssay question and you will pass. He is under the impression you already know this and ignore the fact he thinks his kids are as smart as you. Out of class of 30 only 6 had A grade. Know more than what is study guides or lecture notes. He tricky
Never seemed to be available to help out during lab with questions, spent a lot of time hanging out socializing.... Prides himself on the fact that most of his students do poorly on his tests, as though that makes you a good teacher. I don't even think he creates his own tests... talks too fast, not a good teacher
Nice guy, but TERRIBLE teacher. Rushes thru material as fast as possible and jokes about students saying every year that he talks too fast. Seems to be in competition with students and makes tests confusing and on obscure, often barely mentioned factoids. I've never heard about so many A students getting Cs and Ds on tests.
Very smart, knows his stuff. Not an organized teacher. His tests can be quite difficult, but if know the information forward and back, it is hard to fail. Not a difficult class, it just requires plenty of TIME! I aced every exam... some over 100%, but I did spend a lot of time in lab.
I was a straight A student until I took this class. I studied every day, yet failed most exams. H never replies to emails, leaves during lab time, socializes with former students way too much and is impossible to get ahold of. He finds THE most obscure, random questions to ask for the exams. The study guides are worthless and he talks WAYY to fast.
He is a nice guy but he cannot teach. He seems to get annoyed when questions are asked and he seems to like the fact the tests are impossible to pass. I spent alot of time in on the weekends and that still wasn't good enough. The study guides didn't help at all because he tests beyond what is on the study guide. Do NOT take!
The material is not complicated, its just a heavy load. You have to spend everyday of the semester studying for it and come in on the weeekdays and weekends to take advantage of open lab! His class was not organized, lecture was unclear, you pretty much have to teach yourself. He was not in class most of the time. BUT I still got an A..just STUDY ALOT
I actually really liked Professor Gushansky as far as personality goes, he's funny and approachable. I wouldn't say he's a bad teacher but his tests are super hard, I was a 4.0 student before taking his class and ended up getting my first B, I think if you go into the class knowing that you have to work your butt off you can pull off an A.
Okay, as a person Gushansky is pretty nice and sometimes funny but if you take his class you will know right away that he is seriously over teaching. He leaves the class CONSTANTLY and just disappears to god knows where. He isn't clear on what's on the tests and he never responds to emails. He talks more about MMA fighting then anatomy.
This class is HARD!! But if u study the material and show up everyday you will pass. I liked this professor and thought he was very helpful. You need to stay focused and ask alot of questions.
Rule 1: Be proactive! Material is fast-paced and won't be spoonfed. Answer all essays thoroughly as if your life depended on it and with correct terminology. He is helpful, so don't be shy about aksing for clarity/help. Bring a recorder and be prepared to study your butt off!
I think someone on this site is out to harm the reputation of Prof. Gushansky. Yes, the class is VERY difficult, but it will be with any professor. If you study the lecture slides and the activities sheets he posts, you should do fine since he doesnt put anything on the exams that isn't on them. He is very helpful and in my opinion, a good teacher.
To get an A in this class must be committed to studying hard, do extra lab time, and it helps to form a good study group. If you study his Packets and his lecture powerpoint you will have 98% of test, but there is a lot of memorization in this class. Prof G is always willing to help. Slow down his lec if needed with questions. Lec can be confusing
Professor G was organized, helpful, provided study guides and lecture notes. Attend class, annotate the lecture notes, STUDY (it's alot of material), attend open lab to study for the practicals and you'll do fine. May want to sit in the front of class, he is rather soft spoken IMO.
lots of matertial. he goes through too much information in a short amount of time. high expectations. pretty much if your not on his good list...hes a little bitter and not as friendly to you.
This class is tough. But if you actually study and learn the material taught in class and do the study guide that he made specifically for this class, you will do great. I wish I had studied more but that is totally my fault. He is more than willing to help and there are tutors on the weekends. Don't be scared by the other bad reviews on this site.
People think that they don't have to show up to class but expect their grade to get handed to them. Not the case! If Prof. G says something is going to be on a test, believe him and study it! He TELLS you what you need to know on tests by providing the study guide.A class for serious students only! I got an A, but I studied! Prof. G is the best!
With this class, you have to go above and beyond, put in hours via SI, ask questions when things are unclear, and definitely requires you to study on a constant basis. Gushansky has high expectations for all students, the tests will make or break you, and you have earn every single point to get an A in the class.
class is tolerable if you study but quizes are just bull. he makes you take quizzes in the morning and if you are late, you loose easy points
Gene was the best teacher I had at my two years with Palomar. I understand from someone who was retaking his class that his methods changed 100% for the better. As long as you follow his workbook and actively study, you will do well (I got mid A). It is straight forward what's on the test. He gives you plenty of time in class to study.
I am so scar the frist day of class, but in the end I find out that he is a nice man with a great heart. He try his best to help me but I keep bob my two exams. Now just feel too shame to see him.I could not pass this time, but I will take him again after I take other class frist. He is really nice and helpful, but I am not a good student.
Like most students I checked out rate my prof. so i can get a fraction of a glimpse of what to expect from this teacher. Fact is it's usually the students who did very well or extremely poor and they are commenting to either rave and defend their prof or complain and warn other students. As for me I consider myself an average student. He's great!
Believe me when I say that THE SUBJECT MATERIAL of the COURSE is- and will be difficult no matter where you take it. Gene did a fantastic job at teaching this. he knows his stuff. very flexible and concerned with the students' performance. I could not believe how poorly he has been rated. helpful, willing, approachable.
LISTEN UP!- Gushansky has been highly UNDERRATED- He is great- he really wants his students to do well and wants to help those who are willing to put in the work. he provides a lot of lab time and he really considers the needs of the class. If you use the lab time wisely and thoroughly answer the workbook that he wrote you will be fine. TAKE HIM!!
Hesitant to take him at first, but in the end so glad I did. Extremely helpful and provides ample time for in class studying. If you study hard and psych yourself up to expect the exams to be brutal, then you will find them to be really easy b/c you will actually KNOW the stuff. Curves the grades and tells you possible essay questions in advance :)
i took this class semester with Prof. G and I was extremely pleasantly surprised at his teaching- he is NOT bad at all!!! He is a great teacher who gives you all the info you need for the exam. he pretty much spoon feeds you the essay questions and he is really good at emphasizing what he tends to focus on on the exams. plus there are easy quizzes!
Gushanski is a good guy. The material is hard and extremely fast paced but if you put the effort in it will pay off. Hes not as bad as his reviews.
Gene is a excellent instructor. Tells you exactly what is on the exam and there are no surprises what so ever. Lots of material to memorize but simple concepts. Great guy willing to help. Do not read the poor reviews because they are not him at all! Take Gene, you won't regret it! Practical and lecture exams same day but its not bad at all!take him
He was an awesome teacher. He has a great sense of humor, really knows his stuff and is more then willing to answer questions. I won't lie the course itself is an extremely tough course, you gotta put the work into it. But he does everything he can to make it a great learning experience
Really nice guy, but if you can take ANYONE else, do. Races through presentation of material then leaves class for long periods of time. You will have to be very proactive to do well in his class. He is nice, though, and knows his subject quite well. Approachable but strict.
If you can help it..DO NOT take this guy. He is unorganized, races through his Power Point presentations, glosses over the information..and then tests you in detail.Details that may or may not have been mentioned, or gone over in class. He leaves the class for extended periods of time and is not present in class for questions. Not a quality teacher.
...and those "Great Ratings" that you notice below with the green smiley faces must be the Professor himself trying to boost-up his own ratings. What a joke. If you value your grades, do not take him.
He is a a great teacher and is always willing to help you. However if you are looking to get an easy A this is not the class for you. I took this class last fall and barely scraped by with an A. I would highly recommend taking this professor if your career requires having a good foundation for anatomy.
I think he is a great teacher, this class is really hard, you need to study a lot, he is helpful and funny, but you cannot slack. this is college its really up to you to get a good grade. He does go over exactly what you need to know for every exam. STUDY STUDY STUDY
WORST PROFESSOR EVER. He is very confusing. There is no structure in his class. Class is almost 4 hours long and he only "lectures" for about 20 minutes. He is lazy and gives you too much Lab time, you have to teach yourself the material. If you can avoid taking him, please do.
Here it is straight up. Professor Gushansky is not here to give you an A. He is here to teach you the material. This man knows Anatomy like the back of his hand. He is willing to go above and beyond for his students. This class is hard, but it is completely doable if you STUDY and PAY ATTENTION. Don't be a slacker. This is college-not high school.
Gene is an EXCELLENT teacher. Really knows his stuff. Spoon feeds you the essay questions. You know what to expect on the tests. He will help you and answer questions he truly cares about his students. May blow through some material but just ask him to go over again. Easy going. Take him!
Those who rated poorly didn't try very hard. Anatomy is not supposed to be easy. APPLY yourself, and you will pass. The material he plows through is not used in detail on the test. You can generally figure out by speech clues and lab manual what will be on the test. Stay for lab, he gives you hints. He is a great professor. Just don't be lazy!!!
User below makes an "opinion" that low ratings meant that students didn't apply themselves. Sometimes teaching styles don't match learning styles. I saw the spreadsheet that this teacher sent out w/class grades; half the class was nearly failing. Not good. Teacher is a nice guy & will answer questions; but should re-structure his lesson plan. STAT!
One of the best teachers I have ever had! These bad reviews are nonsense. Hurts my heart when people say not to take his class. I learned so much and was so excited to come to class everyday. He will answer any questions and he puts a lot of useful study materials on blackboard. Don't be lazy and put in the time. Easy as that:)
Amazing professor. It's wonderful to go to class and be taught by someone who TRULY knows his stuff. ASK QUESTIONS, take detailed notes and stay for lab. Go over models. Go over models. Go over models. Do the lab manual. He spoon feeds essay questions. Go to class and be a college student. Greatest professor ever. This is a COLLEGE class, not HS.
Solid Professor, knows his material and he's pretty funny.
I liked this professor. He knows his material, and is fantastic at making sure you know what you need to know. However, you won't succeed if you don't apply yourself.
Gene is a great professor! I think the main reason people fail this class is because they don't/can't spend enough time studying. The material is not difficult, there's just a lot of it. Outside of class I spent 20-30 hours per week studying. Unless you have a photographic memory, like the girl that sat next to me, you will need to study a lot!
Gene is a great professor who cares about his students. The class is structured in a way so as he lectures, then gives you time to digest the information during lab, then will lecture more without feeling glazed over. He knows his stuff and is very excited to help whenever he can. The class is an upbeat and happy place. Favorite Professor thus far!
Best anatomy class. Of course it is difficult! Once you leave the classroom you will be solid with the material. Study, stay the entire class period and ask questions.
Gene is an awesome Prof, really wants the students to succeed!
Tried taking this class for a few weeks (dropped), but I could tell that this wasn't the professor for me. His lectures are way to fast and all over the place. Is not to clear on what he wants you to study. I assume he expects you to know it all, even though it is still a general anatomy class. Do yourself a favor and find a different professor.
Professor Gene is very difficult, but every review says he knows exactly what he is talking about. If you want to learn, take him. He is really difficult, but one of the best professors I've ever had. He wants everyone to succeed, but you have to work hard to do so. He has about 4 exams and a pop quiz almost every class, so always be ready!!
Professor Gushansky is a fantastic instructor and makes learning anatomy fun and interesting. As a disclaimer, Gene is NOT an easy professor and showing up to lecture is a requirement for anyone who wants to do well in the course. Tips: Your lab manual is your study guide, understand the lab manual and you will be successful in Genes course.
Amazing prof! Would take him again! Quizzes are hard because they're asked in a different way. Figure out patterns would help. Exams are tough because it's not pure memorization. Should take the class by itself because of the overwhelming materials. Worked hard, but received the grade due to family issues. IT ISN'T EASY, LOTS OF WORK!
Lectures are short and scattered. Hard to take notes on. Unclear about what we should thoroughly know for the exam - although just about everything. Had to drop after first exam although I got a high C on it. Wasn't able to study for a weekend and fell completely behind. Expect many quizzes - free answer. Tip: know your models.
I tried taking his class and had to drop. He is a great teacher, but I was always unclear on what to study for the tests and his lectures are a bit scatter-brained. If you are very organized then definitely take him.. he is very good and knows his stuff. I have test anxiety so I knew this was not the fit for me. He is also extremely funny!
Take good notes, ask lots of questions and definitely complete the activities in the lab manual. You will need the textbook. His tests are pretty hard. They're split up into lecture/written portion and the practicum, where you will be identifying features on models/cadavers. Also likes to give quizzes first thing in the morning-so don't be late.
This guy goes very off topic in his lectures. He also gets into physiology in an already difficult anatomy class which makes his lectures more confusing. Classes aren't made for students to fail, they are made for students to pass (the one's who show up and put time and effort into the course). He makes this class for students to fail. Don't take.
I had to drop this class after the first exam. He speeds through lecture extremely fast to the point where I wasn't able to take notes. Doesn't tell you what is going to be on the exams (EVERYTHING). Requires you to use a lab manual which is graded. Pop quizzes (perfect spelling counts). Nice guy but his teaching methods did not work for me at all.
Tough class. Want a good grade? You have to WORK for it. Lectures are a bit confusing and he covers it at a really fast rate, so make sure you print out the slides that are provided on blackboard for you. Doing so honestly saved me. Printing out unlabeled models and quizzing yourself will help you pass. I would recommend recording lectures as well
I'm a C+ student according to my GPA, best teacher I've ever had. Learned a lot & made a hard class fun.
It's a hard class because, well, genetics can be tough. Don't take it if you just need a life science requirement, there are far easier classes. That being said, I LOVE GENE! I feel challenged and really interested. Great teacher! You can tell he cares about you and that he loves teaching. My favorite professor. :) P.S. he is cute and funny.
HE IS AWESOME!!!! If you come to class everyday and actually listen and pay attention to the lecture there is no reason for you to not pass the class. Everything you need to know for the test is in the lab manual that he wrote. Alot of material so you have to put in alot of extra study time outside of class. Made class fun to come to, and was fair.
His puns and dad jokes are the best. I mean, come on, his name is Gene and he teaches genetics. If he didn't tell jokes, I'd be angry. He's a fair teacher. There's not much work in or out of class, so tests are very influential over grades. Not much hw. There're a few quizzes scattered here and there when he feels like giving one (you'll know when)
The class is very interesting yet very hard your lab manual/models are the keys to pass! Expect lots of lab time you need to study to even dream of an A. The professor although is not that great, trying to approach him to ask a question and is busy on his phone and always leaves during breaks or talks with former students/socializing which is rude.
Gene is an amazing professor and anybody who writes that he isn't is full of it. He gives you all the material you need to know. This class is hard but if you are willing to work hard and put time to this class you will pass with an A. Choose a good partner because they will become your best friend. dont expect to just do the minimum, you will fail
After having been cursed with a soon-to-be ex-professor, Gene came in and saved us from doom. His humor and energy is a breath of fresh air. Most importantly, he is smart as a whip and can communicate his vast knowledge clearly, approachably, and in a digestible manner. I already have my degree and I can safely say he is in my Top 2 favorite
Gene is amazing! If you put in the work in this class then you pass. When I say work i mean at very least 2hrs of studying outside of class. Test are very difficult, tough grader but if you study your lab book you know exactly whats going to be on the test. You will not make it in this class if you dont show up and dont study. great professor!!!!!
Gene is a great professor. If your dedicated, you can pass with an A. This class is not for people who dont study and still think they are going to pass. Your lab manual is your bible. If you study your lab manual you will pass the class. He likes to have morning quizzes that are great for extra points if you need them. He offers extra credit.
The class itself was pretty tough, but Gene was a great guy and taught a great class. This was his first semester teaching the class so there was a textbook listed but I never used it, EVER. The quizzes weren't scheduled, I'm not sure if that will change in the future, so attendance is recommended but not graded and lectures were online.
I signed up for Human Genetics because I am fascinated by the subject. Little did I know this course should ONLY be taken by Bio majors since it is nearly impossible to pass Gushansky's class without foundational knowledge. His lectures and especially his lecture notes are scattered and disorganized. He did offer to help, but a W was what I got.
TAKE HIM!! He is really willing to work with you!! I didn't put in the time to study like I should have and that is my fault. Im going to have to retake his class BUT HE IS VERY EASY TO LEARN FROM! I promise you will not regret the way he teaches. This is a HARD class but he is not the reason it is hard!! He structures the class as a story!
Gene is an amazing Professor! The class itself is just a workload, but he is willing to get the best out of you. Ask questions whenever you need and he is more than happy to clarify things with you. This course requires a lot of studying outside of class, so have fun with it!
A lot of materials. Textbook not needed. Random quizzes with limited time: 10 questions. Power points are hard to follow, not as useful to study for exams bc they're mostly pictures with no- little explanations/ notes/ info. He talks fast. VERY unorganized. Hard to follow with lectures and take notes in class. Exams questions are very intricate.
Dont slack off. He will help you any way that he can!
This professor is honestly one of the best professors I've ever had! The lectures were a good amount of time; he goes kinda fast but is always willing to slow down and answers questions or clarify for students. Labs were a good time for students to really understand the content - that's why he gives so much lab time- basically use your time wisely
He is my favorite professor I've ever had! I took anatomy summer 17, twas brutal but fun. He brought us pizza & donuts. if you know how to study for science classes you will do well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you record his lectures. He literally gives the answers to his exams during his lectures so listen to it again after every class.
My best professor ever!!!!! I highly recommend him. He is very professional , always willing to help. He knows when you are working hard. The best professor at palomar college. If you really want to learn, take him, he really knows what he is doing.
Gene is the best professor I've ever had, this is also one of the absolute hardest courses I have ever taken. He breaks down the material very well in the lectures and goes out of his way to help you pass. I would 100% recommend this professor. Just make sure you do the work and study and you'll be fine.
Cool and funny guy but not great at explaining topics. He is not accessible outside of class (didn't respond to an email of mine once) and does not keep you informed of your grade. Material is tough and the exams are VERY detailed/specific (not about the big picture/broad ideas). Graded on few things and no extra credit. Very challenging.
I truly enjoied his class, he is an amazing professor. I was so lucky to be part of his class.
Gene is an awesome funny guys his class is hard but its anatomy and the information is a lot but very interesting he offers extra credit record his lectures !!!! Use the lab manual as study guide (he made it )He answers questions he gives out quizzes that are extra credit he does not require the book. I would take him again !!! Study study study
Gene is a great and nice guy, but isnt a good teacher. He piles every lecture on you and is too fast with how he teaches the material. Tests are very hard if you dont know every single detail of each lecture. Many pop quizzes as well so you have to study daily to pass.
Lectures are fast and unclear. Notes won't help you either because the tests often have material not covered in class. I made every attempt to work with this professor, went to office hours, sent emails, and got nothing out of it. He offers no insight to struggling students. I retook the class with a different professor and did fine.
He's a good guy but not a great professor. Explains topics very fast and disorganized, often jumping from one topic to the next with no connection. Lots of pop quizzes and tests with subject matter that you may or may not have learned in class. His office hours were no help either, take another professor!
DO NOT TAKE! His "office hours" don't exist. His lectures are disorganized and require more than basic knowledge of biology. There are timed quizzes every few weeks for "participation" but the questions are very hard. Tests are long and there is no study guide and every test had questions that we didn't learn about, you were expected to know it.
Gene is the best but be prepared to work! If you want a solid and in depth understanding of anatomy to prepare you for your future career take Gene. Don't take this class during the summer, it was pure hell but I was still satisfied with the grade I received. I found the book helpful just because it explained the topics a bit more than in class.
Terrible! The worst Bio teacher I have ever had. His lectures are vague and he tests on things he didn't cover! This is suppose to be BASIC anatomy and physiology. Yet, Exams are ridiculously long and more difficult than ZOO 200. All the students got low C's, D's and F's on first exam! Better off just taking the classes separately if you can.
Amazing professor! The class is a lot of material, so its tough but he thoroughly goes over everything and what he expects you to know. Definitely study the material. You get what you earn, but he is more than willing to help and break it down further if youre struggling. After his class, I was 110% prepared for all my other sciences.
I am impressed with his passion and sense of humor. He does his best to engage students and offers ample help by way of in depth lectures and amazing TA's. Make sure you understand basic bio well before 200 level. Never worked harder in my life. Lectures are pure gold, ask questions! Take notes, ask TA's, pay attention, and have fun with it.
Gene is a great teacher, he's funny & tells bad dad jokes, but that's part of his charm. You will not pass if you're not self motivated or able to spend a LOT of extra time on your own studying. The workbook is ESSENTIAL for tests! He'll do everything he can to help you understand the material, you just have to ask. He was so amazing during CV-19!!
This class was not very hard or stressful. Basically, you just watch lectures (15-25 min) & after a few, you take a 10 question quiz. After around 3-4 of those quizzes then there is a test. There is a lot of time to complete everything & there are no mandatory lecture zooms. The tests are just review of the videos- no surprise questions.
Lectures are recorded short videos, at the end of each video there's a list of items that you must understand & will likely be on the test. Each unit has a "Topic review" PDF use it as your study guide & you'll do great on the exams (I wish I would have done that from the get-go)Questions can be tricky so read them carefully! especially True/false.
Amazing Professor!! 10/10 recommended taking him. This class is hard but with his help makes the resources and guide to get an easy A with the work. He offers some extra credit & only zoom attendance once a week.
He is my teacher for Anatomy, but he always make it seems like he's teaching Physiology too. He adding extra information that need to learn and study. Lectures are not that clear that have to use other sources to learn. Then gets mad just because my answer is same on google.
This was an OK class. Prof. Gushansky is pretty funny. You use a workbook that he created which has most of the info you need for the course. The only thing that I didn't care for was hearing "this isn't rocket surgery" after introducing a new part of the body. Anatomy is hard with lots of memorization so it's frustrating to have him say it's not.
Very funny. Hard class but lectures are great. Strongly recommend reading a text before listening to the lectures to get oriented. Spend time on the TotalAnatomy program; it was a life saver in terms of really grasping the 3D of anatomy. Fair, compassionate, cares a lot. You absolutely cannot slack though.
Gene is a great professor who truly cares about his students and their education. Slack off and your grade will show it, cheat and your grade will show it. There is no easy way around this class just out in the effort and time and you will be fine.
Took online- a rarity due to covid. Amazing instructor. Extremely passionate, interesting and helpful. I struggled due to the simple fact that there is just SOOOOOO much to study regardless of who teaches it. I said no to taking this class again but I mean online. NOT RECOMENDED. I would be happy to retake it in person with Gushansky. Hes great
Awesome professor. I took BIO 145 with him online as well and LOVED his lectures, his sense of humor and his genuine concern for his students. This class is difficult, but if you show up and ask questions, theres no reason you wont pass. Hes very specific about what he wants us to know, and his lab manual is great for notes!
I gave him this rating because I planned on taking an online only class. Come to my surprise when he announces all the exams are in person. So that messed up my schedule a lot and almost missed some of the exams due to having to come to the campus and take them. Other than that, the rest of the class online was setup well and easy.
I took Gene's class in 2018 and it was a tough class, which is expected with Anatomy. That said, he truly does take his time to break everything down and show you simpler ways of looking at it. He offers you every tool you need and will always be there during class and after class to help you. Just make sure to form study groups and use tutoring!
only gives tests and quizzes as a grade, no classwork. Gave him a 2 because I was struggling in the class and needed help, emailed him through canvas then school email multiple times, didn't respond at all to either even after a week. This is an online class so if you need extra help either get a tutor or don't take him because he is no help.
This online class had mixed reviews, but with some effort and using study tools like Unstuck ai, it's manageable. Quizzes and tests are straightforward if you keep up with the video lectures. Getting help from the professor can be hit or miss, but the class structure works well.
Amazing professor. Cares very much about students, and is an excellent way to get connections and get experiences outside of the classroom for those of you wanting to go into healthcare. No textbook is needed and is clear about what is expected on his exams. Posts videos of all his lectures on Canvas to help you review. Show up to class on time.
For an online class, his video lectures definitely help me understand the material better, especially when he breaks down each topic. The videos aren't too long easy to follow, and I'm usually able to sit through a week's worth of them without having any issues on what he goes over, plus the flexibility of completing the work on my own time.
