I really enjoyed this class and I was very prepared for the compentancy test; however, the final in the class was nothing like anything we had studied and alot of the questions we NOT on the state's test. I still passed with an A, but disappointed in the final test.

I have been afraid of math my entire life. Dr.Hair explained math so that for the first time,it made sense. Dr.Hair will make the time to make sure you understand what is going on. AMAZING! I took this class once before, and after a year out of school barely understood the material. I then took him, and it's like he translate it into a way that is completely simple to understand. I passed the comp test easily. You don't NEED the textbook, he gives you worksheets and works only on each ? from the comp exam. TAKE HIM!

Mr.Hair was a great teacher! Didn't think I would end up with an A in the class, but I did. The book is not required. He explains the material clearly and the packets he hands out are very helpful. It's a lot of homework but what math class doesn't have any?.. Get use to it now and it helps out a lot with the tests!! I definitely recommend him! :)

Dr. Hair is extremely helpful. If you fail this class it was due to the fact that you did not want to learn the information wholeheartedly. He has a down to earth personality. He does not mind you asking questions... he actually encourages it. He does not scold you for wanting to better yourself when it comes to your education.

Professor Hair is by far the best math teacher I ever had. I graduated high school ten years ago and I never really understood math. By college, there is just a certain amount of math knowledge you should already have. He understands you don't have this knowledge, and gives step by step, clear examples. Lots of opportunity to fix wrong answers.

If you can at least try, you will pass! I am taking him now and he is great! He allows HW to be due on test days. He is great on test too!!!!! he allows test CORRECTIONS! If you fail, most you can get is a B or C. He is worth it.

Professor Hair gives numerous extra credit opportunities. He allows test corrections, which helps to bump the grade up. We have homework, but nothing too bad. Plenty of opportunity to get a big A in this class.

So easy! His practice tests are nearly identical to his actual tests! He also allows test corrections and you get to choose what problems you do on homework that will benefit YOU. I spent an hour a week in math lab to help with understanding the material, but overall he is a great instructor.

Prof. Gene is the best math teacher. He will not move on to next section until everyone has understood the concept in the current section. Just study the practice test and you are golden.

While the class, Math for Lib. Arts is VERY hard and very dense, hes really great. The hw packets alot though so manage your time well. We had 6 homework packets and 5 take home projects instead of tests. Took the summer term so fall/spring might be different. Just put in effort and you'll get an A. He is really a great teacher. I would take again!

He is a good teacher, I understood almost everything he explained. He makes test corrections, so if you messed up a test you have a second chance of getting half of the points you missed on the test back, if you got a 60 and do the corrections your grade can become an 80

I have not taken a math class in years so I'm sure I struggled more than others in class. He teaches right out of the book and moves through each chapter quick. Study each practice test and do more howework than assigned and you should pass with an A. Test corrections can greatly improve grade and calculators are allowed.

Professor Hair is a great guy! He sets up the class to where everyone should pass. He only grades homework and test. Also, he doesn't take attendance. Stats isn't an easy course and I would recommend that you make the tutoring center or his office hours your bestfriend! If you do the homework and pay attention in class you shall pass.

he is SO kind. ive always struggled in math & he really helped me. hes so encouraging & makes u feel capable of accomplishing something difficult. he lets you do test corrections to get a little credit back. paper homework is due every test, 10 questions per section of the chapter. u have like a week or 2 to do the homework, so its very manageable!

Professor hair is amazing, he is by the book, none of the online math assignments or anything like that(all homework by book) he teaches you like a real teacher should. Also, he has no problem repeating something until you understand, he will go over again & again until understood! He cares so much about his students and has a good sense of humor!

First things first, I am not good at math. This is a very accelerated class (a chapter a week and a test a week). Luckily, he offers test corrections. Do NOT miss any classes or you will be behind by 2 lessons and will have to figure it out yourself. Get ready to work, but a decent grade is achievable as long as effort is put in.

One of the best math professors at Valencia. As long as you put in the effort you can easily pass. He does test corrections and you can get 100 points easy just by doing the hw for every chapter which will help your grade if you dont do so well on the tests.

Homework and class notes are done through the textbook. He doesn't care about the 50 minutes you spend in the lab, although you must do it for the course. Only my math lab assignments are the chapter assessments. No quizes only tests they are on paper. He gives a review packet before the test that is EXACTLY like the test. He explains super well.

Stats is a super challenge class but he sets the class up so you wont fail as long as you try. The homework is basically worth half your grade and he allows test corrects which are a big help. He is super nice and generous. If you are required to take STA2023, take him!

Finally a math professor who CAN teach. Dr. Hair is incredible. I was never good at math, at all. Dr. Hair is step-by-step. If you do not understand something, he won't move on until the whole class understands. He makes his own paper and pencil tests. No mathlab but you need a textbook. Offers test corrections and practice problems before tests.

A great teacher. Makes math a breeze even if you have little knowledge behind it. Doing the HWs helped out a lot and make sure you do the practice tests. He does offer test corrections which is helpful! Uses examples straight out of the book, you may have to teach yourself some things, but never be afraid to ask questions b/c he can always help.

8 HW worth 800pts, 7 Tests worth 700pts, Final worth 300pts. Would have gotten a 91 in the class if I hadn't forgotten the last hw assignment. The easiest statistics class ever. I had a poor teacher in high school and the difference in teaching styles is shocking. Take this class, don't forget the last hw like me, get an A. Loved this class.

I was always scared of math and I took a year gap after high school so I was even more scared of math. PROF GENE HAIR MADE MATH MAKE SENSE!!!!! I 1000% RECOMMEND. He's for those who struggles with math. My favorite thing about him is that the day before the test he gives a review that is EXACTLY like the test. If you do the review YOU WILL PASS.

He is a really lenient grader on test, partial credit given, they are simple test if you pay attention in class. He explains things really well and very approachable if you do have questions. Homework is easy, you are given a set number of problems you have to do and you can choose out of a list he gives you.

Stats isn't the easiest topic to learn, but Dr. Hair tries his best to teach it. He is very clear and to the point about what he expects. The grades consist of only HW, tests, and the final. The homework is weighed like tests, so they help boost your grade up. He also gives the opportunity to do test corrections. There should be no way to fail. :)

I took him for college algebra and loved his class. He is very old school which I like and does everything step by step on the board. If you study you will be able to pass his class with an A. I definitely would recommend him.

I wish professor hair taught all the math classes, he makes everything very clear and goes over problems that is helpful. He does tend to go really fast but if you need clarification he would go over it again. He gives a practice test which is exactly like the exam. The homework really helps also! He also allows test corrections, you cannot fail!

Professor Hair cares about his students but he goes very fast when teaching (multiple sections in one day) and from each section, you have to do 10 homework problems (but you can choose your own). Homework is weighted as much as a test so that is a plus! He didn't explain things well, but if you already know some math, this class should be fine.

Prof. Hair was the easiest math professor by far. I took Intermediate Algebra with him during the spring semester. His homework was based on the textbook. His reviews were EXACTLY like his exams. Just do the work and you will pass. The same goes for anyone taking MAC 1105 AND STA 2023.

Best Professor I've taken so far. I professor hair for intermediate and for algebra 1. This is the professor you want to take if you want learn math the easiest way possible. his test a very close to his review packets he gives before the test.

Dr. Hair is an amazing math prof. and can explain/breakdown complex problems, however, his lectures/practice are straight off the book and doesn't do more or less unless you ask. HWs are 8 problems of YOUR choosing per section. CREATES STUDY GUIDES IDENTICAL TO TESTS/FINAL EXAM! If you review your study guides you will get an "A" every test. 9/10!

In my opinion he is a pretty good prof. as long as you do the hw & turn in your stuff in time, its an easy A, for the quizzes/ final test, he gives a practice one with the same kind of questions just different numbers, you practice with those & you are set! take him if you are willing to turn things on time and not care to do some hw for an easy A.

Professor Harris in my opinion is straight forward. He don't go around the bush. When he says you need to study, YOU NEED TO STUDY! His tests consist of the same questions as the practice test, same order, just different numbers. If you memorize that test you would be fine. Hw is a lot but it is fair. 50-60 problems per chapter of your choice.

Dr. Hair is literally the best math teacher I have ever had. His lectures are clear. His grading is simple. If you don't understand something don't be afraid to ask, he'll do the problem on the board until you understand.

Amazing professor! He is very clear on his lectures and prepares his tests just like the practice test. If you have a question he will go over it many times and will do a similar problem if necessary

His teaching style is old school and he does NOT give partial or extra credit for test. For homework, you'll have to do 6 questions for each section in a chapter and there's around 7 sections (42 questions). Note, if you don't study or attend lectures there's no way you're passing. The labs help out if you want to bring your grade up.

I personally love his class, he makes sure you understand everything and not just how to solve the problems. His tests are pretty easily if you do the homework and the pre test. He knows how to teach really well and respects if you have a question on something. He might come of as too passionated but he's truly just ready to teach the subject.

This professor is old school. What I mean by that is he wants homework on paper. He doesn't sweet talk math. If you truly want to understand math, this is the teacher who won't bs with you. If you just study the practice test ahead of time, literally you will pass the actual test because they are the SAME! He won't hold your hand at all. It's on u!

He mainly gives 2 grades one for hw one for test grade, they weigh the same. The class is easy if you study. Study the practice tests because the test are the same. He makes a lot of mistakes and hes stubborn. Its easy to pass tho.
