wonderful teacher. wrote his own book so he knows his stuff. funny sense of humor. makes the stuff really easy to understand. gives you note cards for the tests and had excellant reviews before each test.

he is the best teacher ever. his test are easy;if you did the homework and you will get to use falsh cards in the tests. He is funny and you are going to enjoy his stories especially the ones with his wife.

Mr. Sellers is a great teacher,chapters are explained throughly and material is repeated enough to understand it. Great reviews before tests, and Mr. Sellers has Great personality, and is very intelligent.

I have had trouble understanding math in the past, but with Sellers, I did really well. He is a great teacher, explains things very thouroghly and is easy to follow along. He has a great sense of humor.

awesome grandpa fo sho, JUST ATTEND CLASS... he shows everything on the board during lecture, he wrote the book he uses as well. you MUST attend class and just copy what he writes in to your notes, easy A

He is one of the best math teacher i had. Just take notes, pay attention in class and you get an "A". Make sure you do your homework. Tests are so EASY!!!!

Nothing bad can be said about sellers can teach Stats clearly without boring the hell out of the class allows notecards on every test and is very leniate as to what you have written on them funny guy and a fun class easy A!

Sellers is the greatest!!! He wrote his own Stats books, so it's like having him with you while you study. Plus the price of the book is cheap!

This is the best professor ever!He is clear, fun and helpful.He really cares about the students and lets you take notecards in on every test. In fact people were bringing in full sheets of paper and he didn't even look up or check to see what people had.He is a great guy, I highly recommend him!

Sellers is the easiest stat teacher at sac city. If you buy his study guide it has all the test questions he uses on his tests in the exact format,you get 2 note cards during the test! Also, he's so funny and his lectures are good,you will want to go!!! I wish he taught all my classes!!!

Guys this is the only teacher you can only take if you wanna pass Stats. I had friends that have taken Stats with other proffesors, and couldnt pass. This is my first time taking Stats and im getting an 'A! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

this teacher makes it so easy to get an A, at least for me it was. Even if your not that smart he still makes it hard for you to flunk the class. he is very helpful and a cute little old man. hecca nice dude!

Professor Sellers is the best!!!!! I had a heck of a time with Algebra, but at the end I was getting A's on all the exams. Besides, Prof. Sellers has a fantastic sense of humor, and tolerated me and that's saying a whole lot. Take him, take him, take him.

I had taken stats with P. Manriquez (6 wk/ARC). Anyone considering taking Manriquez, don't!. Sellers is the only way to go. 6:00am is early but he is hilarious and takes the time to explain everything. Very student friendly.

I never liked math, I still don't, But Mr. Gene Sellers made the class very easy. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and ask him to tell a story every once in awhile

Now I know what it is like to be in an excellent, inclusive, pleasant math class. Prof. Sellers is patient and a master in helping all students find the success they need. He has heaps of knowlege and experience. I did the work, learned a chunk of Alg. stuff and found the success I was looking for with a good class and a great instructor.

Mr. Sellers is a great professor! He speaks clearly, makes sure all of his students understand the concepts, and he grades fairly. He also does not require a graphing calculator, so you can save $100 by taking this class from him.

OMG! I love this man! I only did 1 or 2 problems from every chapter for homework. He made Stats fun and easy. I didn't have to take the final cuz I have an A!! Woo hoo!! Excellent teacher. Pay attention to details on your tests or you'll lose points for stupid stuff and you'll be mad. He gives lots of extra credit! Go to class, it really helps!

Speaking from someone who dislike math, didnt do much hw (prolly a few questions per chapter), didnt have to take the Final, and got an A in the class! tells alot, doesnt it... Sellers is defintely the best Math teacher ever! He's Funny, Grades very fairly,and for once, math is interesting! Could it be that easy? YES it can! Thank you Mr Sellers =)

very good professor if you are going to take stat 300, he is the only prof. to take because he allows you to have notecards for his tests. You learn a lot about statistics partially because he wrote the book.

Awesome! He is the best teacher ever! Retired guy who teaches cause he loves college students. It's not that he is easy, he just teaches so great it seems easy. Go to class and you can't fail. He tells great stories and has a wonderful sense of humer. I love this guy. Do WHATEVER you can to get him. His classes fill fast!

algebra...Great teacher! The book he teaches out of is the book that he had published so basically everything gets covered and his lectures match up with what is in the book... He does a great job explaining things and you can tell that he loves his job. He makes a lot of jokes and they are actually funny! Great person to have as a teacher!

I was not looking forward to this class because it was just another one i HAD to take, but thanks to him i have an A and dont have to take the final!

I used all fives cause he was the best, those who took him knew. The average rate for passing a statistics class is 30 some %. his was something like 74%. Most important he did what most many other teachers cant, entertain. I was lucky to have been able to take him.

He's a good teacher! My grade was low at first, but he gives extra credit. Statistics is difficult, but he makes it much more simple-he wrote a book on it! gives practice quizzes almost everyday, but their easy after his lecture, and he goes over them next class period. He really taught me something. You have to study though.

You will never found a professor like him. Easy, Easy, Easy.....

He is so silly! He is a great professor. He retired 137 years ago (that is what he says)and is teaching because he enjoys teaching. His class seems easy because he know how to help you understand. If you ever have any questions, he is always hanging out in the office at 6:15am. I recomend this class to anyone.

If you can take him - LOOK NO FARTHER, HE IS YOUR MAN! I have tried other teachers and about 70% of the class always fails, but with him you WILL learn and WILL get a good grade.(He should really teach other teachers how to teach...) Book is used only for quizzes, but get a study guide, it's very helpful. And pay attention in class, he's priceless!

If you cannot pass this class with at least a C, drop out of school at start flipping burgers at McDonalds. This teacher is AWESOME!!! He is such a nice man, and is like an old friendly ghost. The class is not easy, but with Sellers he simplifies everything and has one aim--and that is for students to pass his class. TAKE SELLERS! TAKE TAKE TAKE!!!

Prof. Sellers is the best teacher for statistics. Take him and you will get an "A" just make sure you do all of your practice quizzes and extra credit so that way you don't have to worry about the final. His grading is fair and it is fun to talk with him. Take him and you won't regret it.

I have taken Statistics before and no one has made it understandable like this professor. He is experienced, well-rounded, and full of stories to keep us entertained. He even wrote the text so he knows what he is talking about. I am so glad he is able to go above and beyond for his students to understand this foreign language called statistics!

I'm glad that I took Mr sellers class hes one awesome Professor! I highly recommend taking his class! Real Easy for those who understand the pricipals of Stats and those who don't, have to put their time and effort in order to pass his class! His class gets real full so act fast!!

It's no that he is "easy" He doesn't give out "free" grades, it's that he makes everything about the complicated world of Stats SO much LESS complicated. He explains everything so that ANYONE can understand it. He is understanding which is the best part! I took him this summer, it went by fast and I am so greatful for his teachings!! Thank YOU

I took Mr. Sellers for the summer and he is a great teacher. Explains everything you need to know and tells you what is going to be on the test. Do your homework,extra credit,and study guide for the test and you'll be fine.I didn't have to take the final because i had an A before the final. This is one of the best professors I have ever had. He makes a boring class kinda fun and is committed to helping students pass. He lets you use a couple of index cards on the tests which is a huge help and he give extra credit. Take him!!!!

Here's a piece of advice to all of the Statistic-class seeking students: Take a class with Gene Sellers because not only does this man have the charisma needed for a Math class to keep it interesting, he helps to apply math (and those dang random variables) to everyday life. Plus, you know he'll never read this because he doesn't "do computers..."

Don't read these and think that you don't have to study, because you do. But, I studied only an hour or so before the test and I got A's. He's a cute little old man that tells stories over and over again because he forgets he told you, and lets you have unlimited note cards on exams. Just do hw, make good cards, and you're golden.

I took stats over the summer and got an A. Sellers is an excellent teacher and teaches is a way to relate to real life. He lets you use note cards on tests which is SO very helpful! he has a wonderful personality and many stories to tell. i love this old man and i would take him for every math class i have. He's the sweetest man ever! He was a retired professor, and came back to teach. He's very funny, and tell stories about his life before he begin his lecture. Lecture what you need to know and that be on the quiz or exam.

Sellers does an excellent job of simplifying the world of statistics. I am mathematically challenged (always have been) and I'm currently passing with a B. The homework is short (usually 4-5 questions) but packs a punch. In my opinion, he has perfected the art of teaching. Take him!

Awesome teacher! extremely easy, grade is based on 4 tests and a final, although if you have an A going into the final you dont have to take it. I hate math, yet he was such a funny guy he was able to sustain my attention with his friendly lecture and accommodating assistance. If you struggle with math, I would definitely recommend him!

He's super easy and funny. His grades are all based on exams, but he let's you use an index card full of notes. His exams are also just like the hw worksheets. Attend class and you should easily get an A.

All I can say is that I wish he was my grandpa! He is extremely funny and excited while he lectures. We were able to use a note card with formulas on it; he provided very guide practice quizzes. STATS is not an easy subject for me, but Sellers made it exciting. Take him!

Sellers clarifies and examines questions that will be on the exam in lecture. He doesn't fool you. The practice guides are extremely helpful when it comes to the exam; they practically mirror each other.

Really easy class. You will pass with an A as long as your not an idiot. Tests are simple. Classes are long. He starts early and ends late. Not sure if he takes attendence, but clearly you need to show up. Overall Sellers is a great person. Really funny and has lots of experience. You'll learn a good amount, but it's all VERY basic.

When I initial signed up for the class everyone keep saying it was a hard subject to learn.. But all I can say is that ..it was a piece of cake. I just made sure I showed up and took notes and paid attention and I breezed through the entire semester receiving the highest test scores. I love having him as a professor he truly loves what he does .

Professor Sellers is the best STATs teacher out there, he is extremely funny, easy going and polite. He explains the material completely so that you can understand it, if you pay attention there is not reason that you could not get an "A". Highly Recommended!

This old fellow here is hilarious. He constantly makes jokes to keep the class morale up. As far as the grading, do the little homework he assigns and it will be an easy A. He even lets us use a notcard during tests. Got an A on my first exam and im not the sharpest spoon in the drawer

He's Wonderful! He is understanding. His teaching is clear and efficient. He has subtle passion about what he does. It's fun and enjoyable to be in his class. He's older and wiser and that plays into this great relationship he creates with his students. It's instinct for him. My class was amazing. I think everyone would agree on that.

You want to know why his stats classes are the first to fill up??? It's b/c he is phenomenal! He throws no curveballs your way, provides practice guides that come with the book, and tells you what you will be tested on before hand!!! He even lets you have notecards for the formulas! Take his class if you want to learn stats and enjoy it too!

Wow, I really don't know what I can say that would sum this man up the way I want. I have always considered myself mathematically challenged, and I hate math. I got an A in this class. All you have to do is show up to every class, and show up twenty minutes early because he sometimes starts early.

Very good prof. I was on my third time taking this class. I'm so glad I took him. He was the only prof to help me understand stats.

Sellers is such a gr8 prof! If u take good notes & practice u will do well. He gives test reviews b4 each test and lets u use notecards w/formulas. If u have an A b4 the final, u dont have 2 take it. No graphing calculator required & 1 stats project. Attendance is not mandatory, but recommended. I hope he teaches 4 another 187 years.

The man has been in this statistics thing for a long time and he knows it well. He's funny and cute and knows his stuff. NOT boring! He knows it well enough to write the book we used. If you want to understand Statistics, or if you only want to pass and move on ...take his class. If you pay attention, you'll pass!

Awesome teacher! Show up for class or he WILL drop you. He doesn't take attendence but he does keep track. he only teaches one class so he will get to know you! If you need help ASK for it. He will teach you in office hour how to use your calculator which is extremely helpful! <3 sellers' wish I didn't pass so I could take him again!

Mr.Sellers is freakin awesome. He thoroughly explains the material and even relates it to real life. He cares and is very nice. To learn everything you could in this class you'll have to study on your own, but if you dread taking a math class he is the teacher to take. Just try hard and he will give you a good grade.

I'm not going to lie, I hate math and everything math; I'm not the sharpest spoon in the drawer but sellers is such a great teacher and so nice that I actually enjoy it. Highly recommended him. Do your homework and come prepared with questions and answers so that he will know who you are and will like you more than ever.

Very clear. Patient while still keeping a steady pace. Respected and likable. Nice grandfather type. Four tests, an easy project and a final. About 10-15 quizzes that you can use your notes for. The tests are exactly the reviews he gives, just different numbers and he lets you have notecards for formulas on the test.

Professor Sellers is the best professor Ive had at City College. Im not a math person and I truly loved his class; looked forward to his lectures. He breaks down complex material in ways that makes it very easy to understand. I wish all professors were like him as he seems to be able to teach to a wide variety of learning styles with ease.

I hate stats and because I was never able to wrap my mind around it, but Sellers is great man with a sense of humor. Class is optional but missing it will be crucial on tests. Note cards allowed on exams. Quizzes usually every week, also note cards. He is an old man, but he knows his stuff. Pay attention in lectures and you should be fine!

He maybe old, but he really knows his stuff. He is very helpful when you need it. The quizzes are pretty much from the workbook so study that. Even though I find myself confused on some of the lectures, but having him and classmates is a lot more easier.

He is a very sweet guy. If you go to his office hours, he will remember your name. Sometimes he goes off track but at the end he makes things clear. Don't go the math lab and instead make a study group. His quizzes and test are easy. Make sure to do the workbook quizzes and ask questions!!

By far the best professor I came across. He is a "134" years old but is very knowledgeable. The textbook is mandatory. I came into this class thinking it was going to be hard but honestly he's really straightforward on what you need to know. Definitely recommend before he retires

I have since graduated, but had to come and back and say Prof Sellers is the best college professor in Sacramento across the board! He teaches to many different learning styles and is very responsive. I do not like Stats/Math, but I looked forward to every single one of his classes and got a B which is nothing short of a miracle! Take him.

4 tests. And weekly quizzes (straight out of the book) THATS IT. Plus if you get an A in the class you don't have to take the final. You can have as many notecards on the tests and the tests are super easy.

He is an amazing professor! There are quizzes about every week and those are almost the same as the study practice questions. He lets you use as many flashcards as you want for formulas and steps on the exams.

I took Statistics 300 thinking I would get a low B or even a C. I am not a math person at all. Sellers made sure i understood the subject and made himself available before each class in the study area. By the end of this course i was convinced that i could be a mathematician. Highly recommend you take this class!

Professor Sellers is really good at teaching but I felt like I didn't really learn anything. This class was very easy because he wants you to pass and allows you to have note cards on the exams. He gets distracted a lot and is very funny but the class is very slow paced. He also makes the final optional if you have an A in the class.

Hes very old, has a short temper &amp; will pass students who have not shown up to class nor done quizzes, but wont bump u from a 88.99 to an A -______- he is a push over &amp; will love who ever talks the most and laughs at his jokes, dont take final if u have an A before hand, 20 quizzes &amp; no homework

Professor Sellers made Statistics pretty simple and easy to understand! Your grade is based on quizzes and tests and if you have an A by the end of the semester, you won't have to take the final. Sellers is 86 years old, but he can definitely still teach!

Great professor. If you want to learn the topic thoroughly then pay attention during class and follow along as you solve problems together. He reviews worksheets with the class and offers extra credit if he thinks the class needs it. Some people can probably fake it till the make it but he actually teaches very well so why not put in the effort?

Professor Sellers is such an old sweet guy. Although he is forgettable and goes off topic at times, his teaching style is awesome. He listens to his students and you can tell he wants everyone to pass. Class isnt mandatory, but you should still show up because after all you are paying for the class. If you hate math just like me, take this class!

Really sweet professor. He wants all of his students to class and attendance is not mandatory. If you do not show up to class he will not hold it against you but you do miss a lot of the material. Highly recommend taking his class. Easy grade!

It's been a few years now. I went on to a BA in psychology. Sellers has the highest pass rate and is the best statistics teacher in Northern California (according to another teacher in the math dept). I still have the first edition of his book and use it as a reference. I've taken advanced stat from others but I wouldn't get it if not for Sellers.

I cant thank this professor enough for what he did for me this summer. He is by far the BEST teacher that i have ever had in college. Very understanding when it comes to math. Years and years of actual experience. Enjoys teaching and you can tell he wants to actually teach you and help you. Very light work in class, JUST QUIZES. I love this teacher
