She definitely plays favorites and tries to be "cool" with the "scoop" thats going on. She is not easy by any means, but is willing to help IF you ask. A lot of the class can be getting to know each other, but if you are a communications major you should be a tight-knit group anyhow and honestly, who cares if you blow a little bit of class time?

GG is one of my favorite teachers ever. She scared us the first day of class about not being an easy teacher. But once we got started, she worked with us to achieve the perfection she required. She's a great teacher! I even adopted a cat from her. If I had the chance, I'd take that class all over again!

Good teacher, excellent in public speaking.

i loved her! she is the one that got me back into actually liking school again after a bad experience at Troy State. i really LOVED her argumentation class, I think I learned more in that class than any other class I've taken in college. If you get the chance to take ANY of her classes, definatley don't pass it up!!

Mrs D is awesome. She will do what ever she can to help you but don't screw with her because if you do she will not give a rat's ass for ya. (but then who would) Go to class and do your part and there is no way that you would not get a good grade. She is also a great person to know when it comes time for your resume. I think she knows everyone!

This woman is the coolest woman on campus. She is a never ending source of knowledge, that is always willing to share it with students. She is there when you need her as an advisor, professor, and a mentor to all students. Thank goodness she is here at USA.

Dardeau is the best teacher on USA campus whoever disagrees with that can go suck an egg!

Mrs. Dardeau is AMAZING!!! She takes the material and applies it to life, and that is EXTREMLY important in communication. Her knowledge seems endless....She has had so much experience and its interesting to hear it...Whomever doesn't like Mrs. Dardeau or her class is CrAzY!!!!!!

Dardeau knows what she is talking about and loves to include the class in her lectures. She will incorporate her lesson plan into the various stories students have to share. If you don't like to interact, then do not take this class. You can also find her on facebook, so she is "pretty much the best prof ever."

She has a laid back style of teaching but it works because it keeps myself interested and she is very helpful

If your looking for a class in which you regergitate lecure material, look elsware. If you want to interact about real world issues in PR then go for it. You will have to read on your own because the lectures are not straight out of the book. If you participate you will learn...and do well in the class.

Mrs. Dardeau is a great teacher.I have taken her for several courses & have enjoyed every one of them. She is smart and knows what she is talking about when it comes to PR (&everything else too). Just because someone doesn't agree w/her views doesnt mean she is a bad teacher. If you have a problem, go talk to her.I guarantee she will work with you.

I love Mrs. Dardeau! Great teacher, willing to help you out. You HAVE to go to class though. She takes roll and is pretty strict with it. Kinda scatter-brained but it makes you love her even more.

Always helpful and willing to give advice WHEN you ask for it. If you are not interested in learning, she will not waste her time trying to beat it into you. She appreciates participation and effort.

If you ever need direction for anything she will bend over backwards to get you where you need to be. What a joy this woman is.

GiGi is the best teacher I've ever had not only in college but in the entirity of my education. She is a story-teller, which I enjoy, and if you come to class you will learn. Show up, participate, do your assignments, and listen---you'll do extremely well. Also, if you ever need anything she will go out of her way to help. She rocks!

She is a fun teacher. Funny too! A good way to keep up with current events and willing to help you with any problems. Her test are hard. Dont be fooled. But that does not mean she is not worth taking. You just have to study for them.

Mrs. Dardeau is my favorite teacher at South. Her tests are hard but she will go out of her way to help you if you help yourself.

I took CA200 in the spring. Staying caught up on the reading definitely helps, and if you participate in class you will have no problem. Mrs.Dardeau will go out of her way to help students in and outside of class. She is very passionate about what she does and is just a wonderful person in general!

Love Mrs. Dardeau. She's a little out there, but she's cool. Rarely gives a test and almost never gives a mandatory final :)

If you take notes and pay attention you will be fine. If you need help ask. She uses her family and what happens in her life to explain how theory affects our lives. She's funny and happy and really nice. The 1st day she had a .ppt that told you how to get an A, it works. You can't ask for more than that. Take her if you want to learn something.

LOVE HER! Very helpful and funny. Read the book & do the work, you'll be fine. As for those whining about her missing class a lot last semester (FAll '08), she had pneumonia!! Besides, most prof's at South don't let you know class is canceled anyway, they just no show & then it sucks for you.

Huge fan of Dardeau-- she's fun and she loves her students. If you'll make ANY effort at all to form a relationship with her (aka stay after class just once), she'll remember you and help you any chance she gets. She doesn't load her students down with work, teaches the basics and gives a great college experience.

Dar-DO! She's great! Just READ YOUR BOOK, yeah that thing you paid for, and take notes in class and you'll be fine. She's a little scatterbrained, but spend 5 minutes in her office and you'll see why. she's a liked professor among her students and she does anything she can to help so people are constantly in and out of her office. Very good teacher! Do the extra credit, and come on a regular basis. It may appear as though she rambles, but her rambling comes up on the test. If you read the text, her talks during class will help make sense to the what you have read.

Mrs G is a wonderful professor! She may seem difficult at times, but she knows her stuff and explains it in a way that can be understood. I truly enjoy all of her classes. There is no reason you should make a C or below unless you are lazy and don't want to do the work.

All I can say is Mrs. G is awesome. I was really dreading taking this class, as I thought it would be boring. She has a great sense of humor and is very intelligent on many subjects. She does everything she can to help you. If you put worth the little effort required and follow speech guidelines, you will have an easy A. Very forgiving grader.

She gives assignments at the last minute and says she will email your powerpoints but never does. You learn from the book. Lectures are ramblings that sometimes show up on the test. I would take her again though.

Must take! Her rambles about her personal life seem like useless information but you can use the ex for test. Seems to be snobby at first but she's not at all. If you make the time to get to know her and come to class you will do well. Made C's on test & ended with an A cause I did all extra credit, assignments, & went to class. Extremely Helpful!

Mrs. Dardeau is so fun! Yes, she does get off on soapboxes but somehow teaches you something through it. She's very helpful and wants you to come out with an A. She'll help you as much as she can!

Mrs. Dardeau is the best teacher at USA. She is so sweet and caring towards all of her students. She will work with you whenever you need it and is very fair in grading. I didn't need any more communication classes and am now taking another one with her because I enjoyed her so much! TAKE HER!!! :)

She's redoing her syllabus and kind of makes it up as she goes along, which works to your advantage. Extra credit opportunities. Final exam exemption if you have an A. She wants to help you, not hurt you. I felt she got off topic WAY too much. In all I like her. I may not take any class of hers again though.

I was sure I was failing this class and I ended up with an A. The tests are mostly short answer, so sometimes you do better than you expect. She can get off topic, but she is an excellent teacher. There is a lot of material to learn, but she is good at breaking down concepts into examples you can understand. Fun class, but expect to work hard!

Don't put too much thought into her assignments. She's always available. i took her for 210 and the same goes for that class also! one of best teachers

Took her for Public Speaking. She's a very nice person and will try to help you out as much as she can, but I only saw her twice the entire semester. The grad assistant helped me the majority of the time for all of my questions and grades all of the speeches. I've heard mixed reviews about Dardeau but I didn't have a bad experience with her.

This is the worst class. I only saw Mrs. Dardeau once the entire semester. The grad assistant is the one who grades all the speeches and most of the class assignments. However since it is basically all online, you would expect everything to be online when its supposed to be, not 3-4 days later.

Professor Dardeau is really nice and sweet. She goes out of her way to help her students that actually try in her class if they are having problems. I have never liked public speaking but I passed with flying colors in her class. I would defiantly recommend her.

Professor Dardeau is funny, she gets off topic really easily and it often cuts into class time. She really helps you learn how to handle public speaking, my skills have definitely improved since taking the course. She's also really understanding with assignments and due dates, as well as setting up extra workshops to help students improve speeches.

She's very helpful especially if you're worried about speaking publicly. Getting on her good side doesn't hurt either. Make sure to meet the deadlines and if you're struggling, talk to her and you'll make an A or at least a B if you aren't good at not fidgeting during your speeches.

I absolutely love Ms Dardeau. She is extremely helpful if you go to her office hours. If you show you care about your grade she will help in any way possible. I will say if you like structure Dardeau is not for you. She gets off topic easy which actually works to your advantage. I had her for Summer online semester and she was fabulous!

I loved her class; it was more like a class discussion everyday and the final was super easy and fun. She wants you to actually think about things instead of giving you the answers. I would take her everytime if I could.

If you get past her quirkiness she is amazing. Was very accessible outside of class and if you seek her feedback you do much better on your speeches. No matter what you do seek her feedback you won't be sorry. She is a tough grader but if you make the changes she recommends you won't be sorry. I did online class in summer and it was the best choice

She gets off track and comes in late but if you put in even the slightest of effort you will have no problems in this class,it takes her a while to put in grades. Very personable and wants to get to know you. The nicest teacher at South I've ever met,gives tons of extra credit,don't make excuses

Professor Dardeau was and is an amazing teacher. She honestly cares about her students. You will only get out of this class what you put in. I would recommend her to every single person taking CA110.

I LOVE MRS. DARDEAU !!!! She is extremely sweet and was always willing to help. She wanted to see all of her students succeed. If you reach out to her, she is more than willing to stay long after class to help. However, if you don't try your grade will reflect that. The ONLY issue I had was that she took forever to put in grades BUT she was great!

Mrs. Dardeau was an absolute joy the entire class. she would work with you as long as you worked with her. She did talk a lot but made sure to give us the information we needed. In my opinon you just need to listen to her and weed out the important things in her tangents, but honestly as long as you know how to write and give a speech you'll pass.
