Professor Woodard is so fun and makes the lecture not so boring... However, his exams and pop quizzes aren't the easiest. I had to work hard for my grade! Attendance is mandatory. He says stuff in class that is not in the book and tests us on it. I would recommend him.
MY FAVORITE PROFESSOR! I LOVE HIM!! Super nice and loves what he teaches. Super helpful. Test are some what easy if you pay attention and don't skip. gives you opportunities to improve your grade.
Long lectures but he makes them fun. You get to leave after you finish quizzes or exams which is awesome :) I'd definitely take it again!
He is a great professor. Extremely knowledgable and has first hand experience in his field. If you get the PowerPoints of his lectures and show up to class and pay attention then you will pass easy.
Favorite prof at Blinn, long class but doesnt typically use the whole time. Very experienced in the field he teaches and is funny
Prof Woodard is awesome!! He is a lobbyist so he knows a lot about government and relates all of the lectures to the real world and what is going. You always start class with current events to get things going. Awesome professor for sure. Tests aren't easy but he gives you the information needed to do good & you review the class before!! Take him!!
Very Very good teacher. He gives little bits of information then ask them on the test to make you come to class. He is a very good guy that reviews every test! Definitely best Government teacher!
Super easy professor. He's a super nice guy & posts all power points online for notes, gives test reviews as well. Even if you don't give 100% of your attention during lecture, you'll pass. He's a great guy & the class is super basic & straightforward.
He is my favorite prof by far! I am not super into government, but he made the class interesting. He's funny and willing to work with you if needed. TAKE HIS CLASS YOULL LOVE IT
Gentry will always have a special place in my heart. He tries really hard to be funny, but also informative. His material is very laid out and he approaches each test in a logical sense even if it contradicts the order of the book. You don't really need to read the book. If you are distracted by good looks find another professor because oh my gosh.
Mr. Woodard is awesome!! Best professor I've ever had. Awesome guy and makes class fun. He cares a lot about the students and makes sure to make class interesting. Tests aren't bad and he gives you all the information you need to know. Current events are big with him so make sure you do go to class. Occasional pop quizzes. Lectures not long at all.
Prof. Woodard knows his stuff. He worked in politics so he can explain anything. He gives 3 pop quizzes (go to class!) and also takes attendance. He posts ALL of his lectures online and tests come straight from those. he also reviews with us in class; review is like test. one writing assignment, but its not difficult. real cool guy (hottie)
Has a great depth of knowledge on subject of Texas government because he still works in that field. Tests and quizzes were super easy and never took more then 10 min to complete. He is also very friendly and stays up to date with current events.
Really easy class. He also makes the class interesting and kinda fun. Tests are also really easy and don"t require much studying. I highly recommend him. I never used my textbook so you don"t really need it.
It was great class but do not write your paper on a democratic candidate,he will take points off. I know my paper was worth a high A and gave me a low B. I asked if i could see what made my paper a low B and he ignored me. He is a republican so watch out what you write about. Anyways, his class was great. Pretty easy.
This dude is awesome! He is a great lecturer and he uses power points to help, if you bring a laptop/tablet to class its even easier because posts them to ecampus. Notes help but the slides are pretty detailed. Tests are fairly easy but studying is necessary if you want a B+ or higher. But when I say "studying" don't stress, it's not that bad.
Very easy class! He puts all the lectures online and the vocal is word for word from his slide shows. The final is the easiest test you take all year.
By far my favorite professor! He makes the class really easy and understandable. He's very friendly, too. He has a background in government so he actually knows what he's talking about. He always has a review for the tests - most of the time it's jeopardy so it's actually fun. I'm actually going to take his Texas Government class next semester.
He was a really good teacher, he cares a lot about his students and wants the best for them. I really enjoyed taking this class and him as a person and teacher.
The guy has experience in Texas government so he sprinkles it into each lecture. This makes it way more interesting. Tries to get students to get involved. Easy tests with reviews before each one. He does give easy pop quizzes to keep people coming to class. One paper, super super easy. I recommend Woodard to anyone!
Literally one of the best professors I've ever had!! Super easy class-- if you show up and pay attention you'll pass. Only one paper due at the end of semester which is also super easy. Makes lectures interesting by applying his experience and current events in them. took him for texas govt and american govt and never bought the book. (also hot)
Easiest class I've ever taken, but also learned so much. Go to class, listen, and you'll come out with an A in the class. Woodard knows how to teach.
Go over his power points in detail before exams and you'll do fine. I never made below an A on an exam. He's kind of weird about grading the writing assignments and I don't think he really reads them. If you confront him about it and tell him you're unhappy with it he'll most likely help you out.
He made me enjoy government, he is so passionate in what he teaches and his lectures are not that bad at all!! take him, i would take this teacher again
AMAZING Professor ! He will help you in any way he can. I wish I could take his class again.
Professor Woodard makes this boring class pretty entertaining. He is really clear about what is on the test and offers jeopardy questions as a review. The in class work is super easy and his tests are as well. Definitely take him for any government class!
He's an awesome guy. Makes the lectures entertaining and cares whether you learn the material or not. If you show up to class and pay attention you'll do well in the class. I would definitely recommend him for a government teacher.
He uses his work experience to help you under stand what you are learning. He is an amazing teacher I would recommend him to anyone taking Texas or national government!!
I'm taking woodard again for GOVT2306, he's the best! He has lots of personal experience with government that helps so much in his teaching. He always looks out for his students and almost always let us out early. He's also super funny. Sometimes hits you with pop quizzes but if the whole class does poorly he will drop or curve it.
I took Professor Woodard's American Govt course and I wish I had registered early enough to get into his TX Govt before it filled up! He is very personable and makes a boring class interesting. He has real life experience in government and is pretty respected. Always lets us out 30 minutes early. Not many assignments given in the semester.
I took Texas Government with him and his lectures are really engaging and he tries to find outside sources to make it more entertaining and relatable. His tests are pretty easy if you pay attention. His lectures are all online also so it makes it super easy to study.
Prof Woodard is awesome! I'm taking him again next semester for Texas Gov. He is enthusiastic about his lectures and he used to be a lobbyist. All his powerpoints are on ecampus and his tests are easy if you study the powerpoints! He gives out pop quizzes though and they can be difficult, so I wouldn't skip class.
Professor Woodard does a great job teaching a very boring subject. He realizes his subject is fairly dry and throws humor into his lectures to try and make up for that. Highly recommend you participate in his class and get to know him, he's a real nice guy. His class isn't difficult if you just come to class and pay attention.
Professor Woodard is a great professor! Come to class and listen to his lecture for the day and you'll do great in the class. Sometimes he lets class out pretty early and he's very friendly and uses a lot of current events in his teachings. He's very laid back and has lots of extra credit opportunities. show up and you will pass with a B or higher
take this wonderful teacher if you really wanna learn about the Texas Gov, and make a easy A, good teacher caring, good power point, be aware that you will be teaching a topic for 5 min, its easy to do , if i did teach my class, you can do that to. review your note and you will be just fine.
Professor Woodard is Amazing! As long as you pay attention in class you should totally pass. He makes all his lectures interesting, and really tries to help you out in any way he can!
Professor Woodard was the best Prof I have had at Blinn. He is kind, funny, and he knows a lot about the subject he teaches. I would take his class again if I could! He pulls some things from the books, but he provides excellent power points.
Tests are based on powerpoints available online and notes taken in class. As long as you pay attention to lecture, you will definitely pass. There were two out of class assignments, one being an essay. He has a good sense of humor and enjoys teaching the class. Would definitely recommend taking Woodard!
Super straight forward. Pretty much just listen and take notes and you'll be good. Review is similar to test and he is a very fair grader. Makes it interesting and easy to get a good grade. Would take him for every class if I could
There aren't many grades in this class so make sure to study for tests. The study guide doesn't really help for tests so go over notes. He's pretty chill and has had experience in gov't as a lobbyist. There's one paper assigned but it's pretty easy. Definitely recommend.
Professor Woodard is such a great professor. He does teach by power point but in a way where he shows you something and explains it in a way that you will remember. He gives random pop quizzes that you can not make up if you miss class and does not put many grades in so it does effect you if you miss one. STUDY FOR HIS EXAMS.
He put's jeopardy online for the tests. He is very laid back. You'll figure out when he'll give you pop quizzes (4). As long as you show up to class, you'll get an easy grade in his class. He taught the subject very well because he has had actual experience in government.
Overall great class I enjoyed his lectures because he talked a lot about his time as a lobbyist. This made it easy to understand a lot of the concepts.
Everything is from the lecture. He's a nice guy but because there aren't many easy grades, there is no room for error. Show up, listen and study his lecture slides after class. Tests are kinda tricky so make sure you study EVERYTHING. No extra credit so you have to be perfect on your tests and quizzes. Gotta work for the A.
Professor Woodard is the best government professor! He makes government very interesting if your not interested already. You MUST go to class. he goes over current events that will be on the test and participation grades cant be made up. If you show up, listen, and take notes then you will pass easily!
Funny guy who wants to make the class interesting. You must attend lecture or you will not get an A on tests. He likes to show videos in class and then have test questions over them. If you attend class, an A in the class is more than manageable. One paper throughout the year that he grades pretty tough... but tests usually have curves. Take him!
This class was way harder than it should've been in my opinion. Prof Woodard uses a lot of questions from videos we watched and things he mentions in class once and they're impossible to get right. Tests were tricky and he gives an opinionated paper and grades hard on it which was dumb. I like him as a person and enjoyed his class but hard grader.
Cant recommend Professor Woodard enough!! I took him for American Government, something Ive never been interested in, and left LOVING it. DONT SKIP CLASS. He gives opportunities to make up quizzes and is very straight forward with what he expects.
Mr. Woodard ROCKS! He is clear about what you need to know. He gives good power point slides and cares about the money you spend. I didn't buy the book or need it. Everything tested he teaches or its on the power point. BUT don't skip class. You'll miss a writing assignment or quiz and you need to listen to his lectures to pass. Take Woodard!!!
You're making a huge mistake if you don't take him for gov! He's so funny and makes lectures interesting. He knows that the material can be boring at times, so he'll add in online articles and add in something funny. He usually gives 4 pop quizzes (1 for every test) and a few writing assignments that are easy. Tests are easy too.
One of the more easy government classes Ive taken. The class is so easy, but being in class is beneficial because he likes to give quizzes on random days and put questions on the test from videos in class. I would 100% take him again if I needed to!
Woodard is super funny and gets you interested in learning. There is NO extra credit and DO NOT skip class because of pop quizzes and writing assignments. (Those will NOT be made up) Small review game but no actual review. Study EVERYTHING including the videos because it's on the exams. The class is fun and chill just be sure to study and attend!
Really knows his stuff because he worked in government for a long time before becoming a professor. He takes his experience & applies it to the subject, which was really interesting! He took attendance, but I didn't mind because he made class bearable. If you pay close attention during his lectures & take notes over what he says, an A is possible.
Gentry.... what a man. An excellent professor, he had an amazing teaching strategy. I would take his class 1,000 more times if I could. GREAT SEMESTER!
Woodard is a great professor. He is relaxed in teaching and provides examples of things that actually happen in the government, not just listing terms out of the textbook. The book isn't needed and tests/quizzes are based off of lectures, so pay attention and it's an easy A. Best prof. at Blinn, hands down.
Professor Woodard is by far my favorite teacher I've ever had. His lectures are so interesting, and he uses a lot of real-world experience from his previous government work to help the class understand. Pop quizzes and writing assignments in class, so don't skip! I took him for GOV-2305 as well, and I'm honestly sad that I am done with government.
The best professor I've ever had. Enthusiastic, approachable, and fun... I would absolutely take any class taught by Woodard.
Woodard is a great prof. He has experience in government so that made lectures interesting. His class isn't hard, but if you skip class it will be because his exam/quiz questions come from his lectures and videos. He has pop quizzes and in-class essays. Quizzes aren't hard if you pay attention, and he is an easy grader on essays.
JUST DO IT
such a nice guy!!!! i went into his office after my first test so i could better prepare for my next one and doing that i got 15 points higher on exam 2 because he is so helpful! OFFICE HOURS!! go in ask him to help you prepare/make sure you get the notes you need and he will basically give you a review lecture. cool guy
Professor Woodard is a really cool guy! He gave us a quiz and basically gave us a free 100. He wants to see you succeed and he will work with you! My mother was in the hospital and asked if I could email him my assignment and said I could. Listen to the lectures and youll do well!
Woodard is a great professor. He is extremely funny and his lectures are super interesting. He was a lobbyist in Austin so he really knows what he's talking about, and makes learning the material super easy. There is hardly any homework, but I will say his tests are a bit challenging. I highly recommend.
Mr. Woodard is a very good teacher. He cares about all of his students and is a very funny guy. Go to every class of his because you never know when a writing assignment will be and he gives extra credit on random days. Also it's important to pay attention during the daily events because on the tests he asks questions about them.
this class was pretty good the only thing is his tests come from what he says in class. Therefore, if you do not go to class and pay attention and take notes.. you won't do so well on his exams.
Cares about his students and cares about making the subject matter interesting. Don't skip class because your grade only consists of tests, in class pop quizzes, and in class writing assignments. The class isn't hard to pass as long as you attend. Brings up-to-date news stories to class to keep it entertaining and relevant to the students.
Mr Woodard's class is not only a lot of fun, but also very informative and very manageable. If you're not able to go to class, he gives opportunities to make up work, but he makes going to class very worthwhile. He's funny, knowledgeable, and delivers a lecture chock-full of different materials. Overall, he gives students every opportunity to pass.
Great professor. You do not need the book. Everything on the tests and quizzes is from class. He gives pop quizzes and in class writing assignments so PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. He puts up all the power points online so I found the best way to study was to just write what he says and go home and copy the power points. He does not give extra credit.
His powerpoints don't align with his tests and quizzes, which makes him impossible to genuinely study for and actually ace a test. He was a lobbyist, so he has his own stories and experiences. However, his lectures aren't captivating and he puts questions from his lectures, that aren't on the powerpoints, on the tests. Very frustrating class.
Mr Woodard is super hilarious and i loved his class even though i have never been super interested in government before. He is a really good person and his lectures are very interesting! He always tells his classes about interesting facts regarding the lesson and it makes the class really enjoyable! I highly recommend taking his class.
BEST PROF IVE EVER HAD! I hate gov and history in general, he made it easy to understand and super fun! He uses actual experience in the gov to give a perspective which was really cool, he's super nice and always willing to help. Tests were usually very easy and almost no homework, if you do poorly on tests, writing assignments & quizzes help a lot
10/10 recommend taking this professor. He really cares about his students and wants the best for them. The tests are not difficult but there were a couple of pop quizzes so I wouldn't skip class if I were you. He provided test reviews that were helpful and very little homework.
I took Gentry for 2305 & 2306 and he is easily the best prof I've ever had!!! He has long lectures but does a really good job of breaking them up and making them entertaining. Exams/ quizzes are relatively easy & the writing assignments are easy if you meet the requirements. Cares a lot and does any and everything he can to help the students.
One of my favorite professors. He cares about all of his students. He makes lecture do-able bc he is hilarious. He knows what hes talking about. You have to go to class bc of pop quizzes and random in class papers. Hes awesome I would recommend him to anyone.
Woodard is a great example of a gov prof who knows what matters in context. While not following an outline of a textbook can make his lectures a little confusing, as long as you listen you are set for an A. If you miss a pop quiz or writing assignment he will drop one of each. Really funny and has real experience in government to share
Hands down the BEST professor I've ever taken!!! Professor Woodard has helped me gain an interest in government and he is the best professor to teach this class. Attendance is necessary because of pop quizzes and writing assignments, however he drops one quiz and one writing assignment. If you get the chance to take him, do it!
Mr. Woodard is a great teacher that wants you to enjoy his class. Relaxed setting and he has a background in government which contributes to his knowledge of the subject.
Took Woodard for 2306 last semester and again for 2305 this semster, and that says something. I'd never been remotely interested in government before his class. He's very knowledgeable, following his time working as a lobbyist. He's also very laid back and always willing to help. He's lecture heavy but makes it interesting. Highly reccomend.
Woodard is a really cool guy with a long history in working in the government. He adds current events from different days to the tests and has random pop quizzes/ writing assignments, so that's why its best to go to class. Tests are easy if you study and took decent notes. Easy A, just do the work and come to class.
He has a lot of experience working within the government so, he knows his stuff. The class is not too challenging, but I also feel like I learned a lot. Study for his tests and DO NOT SKIP CLASS, and you should get the grade that you want with no problem. Highly recommend.
Woodard is such a funny professor that tries his best to make his TX government lectures relative to the outside world and a little less boring. Go to class and pay attention to lectures and it'll be an easy A. He hands out pop quizzes and random writing assignments so I suggest not skipping. Love this dude.
Best prof ever! Makes his lectures very interesting and connects gov to current events to make it more interesting. No need for a textbook cause his tests are based on his lectures so attend class! No homework but in class pop quizzes and writing assignments that are really easy to do good on. Clear on what you need to know for his exams.
He's the easiest teacher ever. If you pay attention during lecture, write notes, & study for an hour or two for each test then you will definitely get an A on the tests. He has pop quizzes during class but they are relatively easy. You can't miss class though because he takes attendance and the tests are all based on lecture.
By far one of the best professors I have ever had! He explains things so well! If you show up for class and pay attention you should get an A.
DO NOT take this class if you have trouble remembering things from a lecture you just spent the last hour learning because he WILL give you a pop quiz and won't let you review. He also grades his writing assignments very harshly, saying he rarely gives 100's. If you previously made an A in the class, good job. This is just my opinion and warning.
He was one of my favorite professors at Blinn, his classes were entertaining. He does do random quizzes or papers to make sure people dont leave early or skip. But he does let class out early
His classes are all lectures but he's super knowledgable about the class. Super funny and knows how to give good lectures. Only a few tests with a few homework assignments outside of it. The biggest thing is the pop quizzes. He tells you they're part of the class, and they're expected to be taken. Would definitely take this course again if I could
Gentry! What a man!
Gentry Woodard is a very caring and hilarious professor! He is a super chill dude that wants to help you succeed! Don't think you can skip class and expect to get an A because he does give many pop quizzes and writing assignments. He also doesn't give extra credit, but is always there to help. HIGHLY recommend if you are ready to study and laugh!
If you don't show up to class you will not do well because he gives pop quizzes, writing assignments on random dates, and teaches from the power point but elaborates off of it and does current events that will be on the test. You have to show up and study hard. It's not an impossible class but you do have to work hard to get an A.
Prof. Woodard was the best prof I had this semester. He makes government so much more enjoyable and tolerable for people who don't really get into it. He gives pop quizzes and writing assignments were taken home and due at the next class date. He brings real life into every lecture which helps to remember what everything is that he is talking about
He was such a cool professor, he made class very interesting. Attendance is necessary, if you dont go you wont pass. You dont need the book, just study lecture notes and you should be fine.
I personally had a bad experience with this professor. Every class is just a lecture. The material is easy and the tests questions come straight from the powerpoints. There are pop quizzes and writing assignments. However, if this professor decides he doesn't like you he will grade you harder. My advice would be don't try to stand out.
He keeps you entertained during lectures but talks about himself a lot. Test start off hard but become easier. Its easy to get a good grade if you pay attention to lecture and study power points. textbook not needed.
He made the class super interesting, partly because he has inside experience with the Texas legislature. You definitely need to show up to class, because the lectures are based on lectures and the book was never used. Overall, great guy. I would definitely recommend taking him!
Professor Woodard's class has been the most interesting government class I have taken yet and I would absolutely recommend taking his classes. Listen in class and be sure to show up and work hard and you will be successful.
Woodard is phenomenal! coming from a person that did not think they would get an A. Just make sure you do your weekly assignments THEY ARE EASY! Before the test make sure you go over the powerpoints!! If you are in his blended classes show up to class he will see that you are putting in the effort! 10/10!!!
I had him for my 8wk blended class during covid. He is a 10/10 prof! Prob my fav prof Ive ever had! I loved his class! His assignment are very straightforward and easy(basically completion grades) and as long as you pay attention in class you will get good grades!
Mr. Woodard is the GOAT. He makes Tx Gov fun, he has real experience with the Texas Legislature and it defiantly helps with understanding the subject matter. Definitely a test heavy class, but if you pay attention and take notes, easy class. Then again the tests are lecture-heavy so if you don't pay attention you WILL NOT pass.
This Professor is absolutely the best teacher I have had. His lectures are great and I love how he really cares about his students. Make sure you pay attention to his lectures and you should be good. But be active and involved and you would build a great relationship with him. Take him if you want to get an A.
he never responds to emails. his test are hard.
U honestly dont understand how he has a 4.7/5. he doesnt care abt his students and everyone in the groupme agrees. i used safari instead of chrome for the 1st 5 assignments (he never specified that we needed to use chrome and i verified this). I had to go over his head to even get the grades i earned which is crazy. he replied TWICE to ten emails
No opportunities for extra credit. Several homework assignments a week. Rushes through lectures for no reason. You have to write or type so fast you don't even pay attention to the lecture. Exams are extremely hard and have very specific questions from the textbook content. Wouldn't take him again.
I liked him as a person, but he is really bad about responding to emails. I have emailed him multiple times and he never responded. Does not give out reviews for unit tests or the final. Classes were always super rushed so I never had time to actually listen and comprehend what he was saying because I was writing so fast.
test are over lectures that he speeds through and some testing material is not what he even talks about. will not respond to your emails so do not waste your time. no extra credit available, does not curve test either. worst prof i have ever had. i wish i Q dropped
Overall great class. You can tell he doesn't like teaching with the Covid protocols and likes lecturing to a full classroom. But he is a great guy that cares about the info he's teaching. He doesn't really respond to emails unless it's important. The tests are all lecture with some questions from the textbook. Pay attention in lecture and your set.
Easy A. He has papers but it's easy and so are the quizzes. The tests are all on quizlet. No extra credit, but the quizlets make it an easy A. Might have some trouble getting the hang of things at first, but everything will be smoother once you do.
Fair professor, is very clear first day of class what to do to succeed in his class. No extra credit, but pay attention to lectures and do reading assignments and you'll do well.
Professor Woodard is not a bad professor.. actually, he's probably what you'd expect for a typical college class that wants you to learn. he has interesting lectures that you will NEED to take notes on. Don't show up for this class thinking it's an easy A though. There are easier professors out there but professor woodard will push you to learn.
This Professor does not respond to emails. There has been many different times I had tried reaching out to him but never heard back, which ultimately hurt my grade. He also doesn't do extra credit or drop any home works grades or have the finale replace the lowest test grade or anything like that. Nice guy but I would recommend looking for others.
His lectures and hw all tied into what was put on the tests. take good notes and pay attention in lecture and you will do great. His stories and jokes made the class fun to be in and you could tell he really cares about his students.
I took his class in high school online. For me, this guy makes a hard test. But he makes up for it by showing a genuine interest in the subject and a concern for his students. He showed up to our school in person before a big football game and gave the whole class donuts. He also actually tried to adapt to our academic level when making tests.
Professor Woodard was by far my favorite. I would take his class again just for fun. He makes students want to come to class, which is rare these days. He also has experience in the subject he is teaching so it makes it that much more engaging. There is a decent amount of homework, but it's not hard and his lectures set you up for the tests.
absolutely loved prof. woodard! he has such great humor and is very passionate about tx government. he does do a current question on the test that he only talks about in class so it benefits a lot if you do show up. easy class if you use common sense and live in texas
His class wasn't too hard. He does occasionally have quizzes at the end of his lectures and if you miss the class you can't retake them but he did give a participation grade at the end as a form of extra credit. His tests are pretty straight forward also so if you pay attention in class and review the chapters the tests aren't hard.
Woodard was awesome and very receptive to emails and grades. He really takes the time to prepare for his lectures and makes learning government fun. He is really funny as well.
Mr. Woodard was an amazing professor. I loved his class. He is very fair and made Texas Government one of the most interesting classes I have taken.
Loved his lectures! Make sure you take notes and show up to class because if not the tests will be hard.
Really good guy! Enjoyed attending his class always a great time. Explained content well.
Very knowledgeable and very fair. Would definitely recommend
Professor Woodard was great. He gave great feedback, was quick to respond to emails, and made government interesting.
Great teacher who cares about his students.
He was an easy-going teacher and had very easy and understanding PowerPoints. The tests were easy along with the homework. He also provided exam reviews and asked us whether we wanted to go in the study for the final exam or just do it ourselves. I recommend him for Texas Gov
Professor Woodard is the best! Minimal homework, powerpoints were straight to the point with information and they were actually useful for the exams. His lectures were engaging and I found myself excited to go to his class because he's just that great. No extra credit and be sure to complete assignments on time. If you have the chance, TAKE HIM! :)
Professor Woodard is actually a really cool professor. He wants his students to learn and he actually teaches in a manner where we do learn. I don't usually like government classes but Professor Woodard's class is actually interesting and helpful.
This class is super exciting and fun to take Professor Woodard is a great guy and will give you leeway he is a very nice guy.
He is a great professor as he makes it easy to understand the government class, however his tests I feel like had nothing to do with what I studied in his lectures or the book. Did great on all assignments but failed the tests. He also does his assignments before his lectures, lookout for the first assignment before the first real lecture.
If you show up to all of the lectures and do all the homework on time then you will be fine. Mr. Woodard's tests are very easy if you went to class and the homeworks are completion grades. He does not give extra credit and does not answer emails, but other than that he is a great professor!
His lectures were so interesting and I learned so much, but some of the test question are also from the textbook which was so long and boring I never read it so wouldn't do as well as I would have liked on the tests. If you don't go to class you're doomed since the final is all in-class lecture questions. He's great, though!
Study your notes
one of the best teachers. lectures are so so interesting. writing assignments that I went way too try heard on because he doesn't grade hard. tests and quizzes were semi difficult but if you studied the powerpoint you will do good.
Prof. Woodard makes the material engaging and digestible. The tests can be tricky, but attending class and using resources like the textbook and unstuck AI can help you excel. Overall, a great professor who genuinely cares about student success.
