He is a real good Professor. He really teaches his students well on how to write essays. To pass the class, all you have to do is write a good in-class essay and do the re-write.

Dr Klock is....AWESOME! most essays are held in class.the class is pretty intense. He goes over and over the material so you know it. He is smart,kind, funny. every moment in class is not wasted and this guy can teach. he gets us, i mean he is still like our age! if you have the option of taking his class....take it! trust me its worth it!!!!!

This is an advanced course, I highly suggest you NOT taking this class if you are expecting to breeze through English. This Professor attended Oxford, studied English for 10 years. He has NO mercy BUT HE'S AWESOME!!! I LOVE THIS GUY, one of my favorite Professors in the English Department. He is SUPER SMART! He knows his stuff!

This class is extremely fun and interesting. Professor Klock gives out a lot of helpful handouts for writing. He goes into depth with philosopher, their metaphors and ways of thinking. Klock definitely keeps the class interesting with his humor. After taking this class, I feel like my writing has improved tremendously.

Took his class a few years ago and loved it. His teaching style is extremely helpful and his attitude is great. He is very very smart, energetic and lots of fun! I certainly credit him with my improved writing ability! Def. take him! You will learn, lough and get a good grade if you do the work. HIGHLY recommend!

Prof. Klock was the best! Had him my first semester and I'll be taking him again in the fall. You get to make up all of your exams and he's very fair and accurate with grading. He doesn't give any homework and you don't need a textbook. Highly recommend

Great, funny class. 4 papers, 3 of them in class essays. NO HW besides read and rewrites which are optional. You don't get A bcuz you don't want it. He preempts comments that can get him in trouble with a disclaimer. Perhaps he did before? Recycles jokes. You know he's used them for the last five years. They're funny but... comes off impersonal.

This guy is AMAZING. Classes are engaging and really funny. Don't worry about reading material, he provides everything. Don't be intimidated by what you guys will be reading, he'll make it easy to read as well as to understand. love this man !

This Professor made my semester work completing. His class is so easy going and fun for me that I forget he's a Genius Professor. Its like Doogie Howser grew up and now enjoys being a kid in class. Definitely take the class and enjoy the show.

Smart guy. English majors and enthusiasts may not initially be satisfied. alot of people love his class because it's pretty easy for their eng reqs and his courses seem to be tailored to them. If he sees that youre interested, he can provide more in-depth discussion and info. Not a bad exp. Maybe not best for students who already enjoy literature.

My son Prof. Klock is one funny man, always has the class laughing. That was the only class I liked this semester but it was a little tough and yeah his in class essays were a little hard but he will help you understand if you just ask questions but other than that he's a helpful professor, also goes over the readings and take notes.

Prof. Klock is the best professor I had during my year at BMCC. To keep in mind while choosing him is that he has a PhD in English from Oxford, which means that he knows what he is talking about. Incredibly smart and if you show interest he will help you out. If you want to be mentally stimulated, take him.

One of the greatest professors ever! Four papers and he gives you a chance to rewrite. No midterm and no final. If you want to be pushed into doing your absolute best then he is the right professor for you. He makes learning about poems and short stories so interesting. Loved how he compared old literature to pop culture.

Honestly one of the best professors. Will compare his poems to pop, he makes it easy to undersstand, 4 papers only, 3 of which you write in class then are able to do rewrite. Huge comic book lover.

He's an awesome professor! He gives us papers based on many philosophies, and we get to compare and contrast certain philospohies with personal ideas. I did a paper based on chaotic stories and The Punisher! Highly recommended! Also, if you're into Hamlet, you will be in for a treat.

Prof Klock is the best! He is SUPER smart like he has a PHD from Oxford smart. He is really good at breaking down readings that seems really hard. He is available during office hours. Oh and some students seem to take like all his classes, so he has a big following of students who like his classes.

Professor Klock is really one of the best English professors at BMCC. He is a tough grader but if you put in the effort, you will get a great grade. His 3 in class essays are not that hard and you don't even have to read. His research paper is also interesting because it doesn't even feel like a paper. Take him I had no regrets and enjoyed class.

Best professor in BMCC. He is so funny and gives great feedback. He shows respect to all his students and makes sure you are okay in his class. Its ok to miss a few classes, maybe 2-3 classes. But he does look that over. You have two papers in his class, one paper at home and the final in his class. Easy grade, he loves when you talk too!!

Professor Geoff Klock's is quite a character, amazing personality all year round. You'll learn a lot about how you think about certain things. It's like he's opening your eyes up to the world so you can see what life is really about. Hands down one of the best English Professors out there. Only two essays which you can submit multiple times.

If you participate in discussion boards and write your 2 essays you will be fine. He is pretty accessible and helpful. I'd definitely take him again.

Prof. Klock is although an enjoyable teacher horrible at online teaching. Pre-Recorded classes that he uploads on youtube (where he goes on rants and off topic quite often) are just not a good way to learn. He does care but doing online asynchronous classes was definitely a mistake. I do like his philosophy but I won't take him again for 201.

This whole review is going to be a paen for this professor. Firstly, this is my second time taking Geoff's eng classes because I've learned so much through his lessons. He's intellectually cohesive, artistically observant, and philosophically aware of the forms of literature and artwork itself. Can't wait to take his film class over the fall!

Love love love this professor and his class! It was such a breeze and relief throughout the semester. His class was easy to follow and he did not ask for much. Weekly discussion boards are required along with two essays. If you follow along and engage in this class you will enjoy it and pass with a easy A. Your original thoughts count the most!

Words can't describe how incredible this human is. I feel so incredibly lucky to have learned from him. I took his ENG 101 class and would literally take ANY class that he teaches just to have the chance to have him as a professor again. He is the kindest, most understanding, most honest, insightful, and inspirational person I have ever met.

The class is asynchronous but I love the way Professor Klock teaches. You just need to participate and do all the papers, he will give you a chance to raise your grade on your papers as long as you hand them in by the due date.

Honestly, Prof. Klock is one of the best professors I have come across. I took his class online, though I would have loved to take his classes in person. Your thoughts matter the most, he wants to see your original thoughts and effort. He also posts videos of him going on about the reading of the week (his passion is exciting).

Prof Klock is a fantastic Professor. He is super knowledgeable and funny. He lets you re-write or fix your essays as often as you'd like. Prof. Klock is a character. His way of teaching can be a shock at first because of how enthusiastic he is (which is rare to find in English professors). He doesn't give you ANY homework throughout the semester, you just have to write two 5-page papers that you can revise until you get the grade you want. It can't get any easier than that.

Was a easy class, it is a writing intensive but he base it off there 3 films/ novel. he a nice guy his class was only hard cause he a tough grader and expect more but overall he there to have a good time try to make us laugh.

He is a amazing prof. He teaches philosophy in the class, but no HW, quiz at all. 4 essays in total (include final). You can write any topics. He cares about what are you interested in. He is tough grade at the1st time, but you can revise until grade that we wanted and he gave us clear feedback, so it was so help me a lot! I enjoyed this class!

His grade are base on 3 films/paper you write (macbeths) different version he loves them talk nonstop about them. He really harsh on the grading for his paper so like you got to put work into those. Nice funny guy but work is hard. attendance is mandatory

Love him, he's the BEST! Helped me finally appreciate things I found boring like Shakespeare, philosophy, etc. Has a running joke that some students minor in Klock, as many take all of his classes - guilty, as I took 250, 373 & 321. Be warned, don't mistake his affability for low standards - these are writing courses to take if it's YOUR passion!

This was by far the easiest class and lowest-maintenance professor I have ever encountered. Klock was understanding, entertaining, and a fair professor. He had only given four assignments for the semester that were permitted to be resubmitted endlessly until you liked your grade. He gave helpful and clear feedback, and there was no final.

Best Professor I've encountered so far. Truly, deeply cares about his job, and it shows in everything that he does, from the works that we read to the movies that we watch. Geoff Klock is a godsend.
