The kindest professor I have had at CSN. He genuinely wants his students to succeed and gives you chances to rewrite your papers. Definitely recommend him!

Great professor! I would highly recommend him! He is very caring, there are some activities, but it's for brainstorm before we start an essay and he would go around one by one to help each student about their topic. He really teach every part clearly and organize. He also gives a chance to resubmit and correct your essay after he graded it.

He's my favorite professor I've had so far. He gives you a lot of feedback on your work and quickly too. He breaks up the big assignments in small chunks which is really helpful and he gives you tips along the way. In class he will go around to each person and see if you need any help. You can also revise your paper for more points. He's the best.

Professor Kenmuir was a good professor his chill and the class is pretty straight foward we did 3 essays total in the whole semester we dont have test or quizes. The essay is summited part by part intro, body, then conclusion. He checks your essay and you have one week to fix it if you have a lot of mistake. He only re grade major work like essay.

Honestly this is the easiest class you could take. 3 papers the whole semester, he explains what he expects well. It's super easy essay skills that if you listen you can easily achieve. Very helpful and always asking if you need help. Also, hilarious I enjoyed his humor, but beware it is more of a satirical kind of humor.

Great 8 week class. 3 essays and he gives lots of material to help you come up with ideas. He is a fast grader and gives detailed feedback and lets you revise your essays.

I took Prof. Kenmuirs online Eng 100 class spring 2020. After being out of school for 18 years, I honestly didnt know what to expect. Prof. Kenmuir made this class enjoyable. He cares about his students, gives extra credit & gives clear feedback to help you. Bottom line, do the work, ask questions and youll pass the class. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

I can not say enough about Professor Kenmuir. I never excelled in English yet he made academic writing very easy to understand. Work load is very manageable and he gives fantastic feedback with room to improve your work. He tackles modules that reliefs stress from you as the student. TAKE HIS CLASSES!

I took his class the semester of Fall 2020. He was very understanding and was fast to email. Before each assignment he took the time to further explain what we need to do. It was also like reminders. His assignments gave us room to be creative. Even if we need help with an idea, he would give suggestions. His gradings are fair and understandable.

He was a great english teacher. He gives you a blueprint of everything he wants you to do and walks you through how he wants you to do it. He is willing to help you and will hear you out when you are confused. He gives only essay homework to do. IE- he has you write part of your essays before its due so it is way less overwhelming at the due date.

Loved Professor Kenmuir! He was very clear on when assignments were due and how they were to be done. Gives great feedback on every assignment to help make sure you are doing everything right. Would not hesitate to take him again!

Instructor Kenmuir is a really kind professor. He splits everything into smaller sections when it comes to essays, which there are three of during the semester. He gives really clear and good feedback and he will immediately get back to you if you need any help. Overall, it was an enjoyable class and the topics for the three essays were interesting

He is the easiest professor Ive ever met. My final grade is 98% and my English is not even that good. There are 3 major essays and few quizzes. He give you chance to revise your essay. I did not revise it since I always got 100/100. You are going to watch some 1-hour videos for those essays. He replied email fast and helpful advices. Easy A+

Professor Kenmuir was a solid English teacher. The workload is not too heavy, but super easy at the same time. Easy A class, he is super nice and responds to questions fast! Definitely recommend taking his English 102 class.

No extra credits but easy class. Gave you full credits as long as you follow his format. 3 major essays on criminal cases and relevant quizzes. Can not be easier.

Professor Kenmuir is a one-of-a-kind professor. When I took his class I had 3 essays to do, along with some mini assignments relating to them. Besides that, he cares about his student's work and always gives amazing feedback to improve your work. I would highly recommend taking eng 102, just get ready to write like a college student.

Prof kenmuir was great! He clearly lists everything you need to pass his class and do the assignments. There were 3 essays and smaller assignments that go along with the essays. He was great about responding to emails. No book is required for the class but there are videos and articles to read. Overall this was an easy a class. Highly recommend

Professor Kenmuir is AMAZING! He is by far the best English professor I have ever had. His class is very organized and easy to manage in a 8 week period. professor Geoff was one of the best English teachers I've ever had, he is helpful and gives great feedback and a quick grader, 4 big essays but sets you up for them until their due and even gives you an extra week for full points. He is funny in his emails and instructions are clear. Truly cares for students to be good writers.

Taken Fall 2020, he's a great professor. Explained everything clearly, gives examples and videos to show students how to write their essays. About 4 essays in total. Make sure to use the online tutoring to check your writing, helps greatly in getting a high grade. Maybe don't take it with Communications, lots of research and brainstorming for both

Professor Kenmuir was great. Very clear grading criteria and fair grading. He puts writing into an easy-to-understand formula that works like magic! Some of his quizzes are weird, but they don't take a heavy toll on the grade, only the papers do. Turn your work in on time and follow his criteria and you will get an A. I wish he was more organized.

Hes the best !! He is so clear about what he wants & he grades you separately on your 5 paragraphs for your essay. For ex: you'll be asked to upload a conclusion. This conclusion will be used in the major essay in which all the other paragraphs he graded would be in! There is a lot of work but its easy and worth it! He provides examples! :)))

Prof. Kenmuir was amazing. He had an academic essay formula that worked like magic. He is in IMMELSLEY LENIENT GRADER and you will get an easy A. Some of the quizzes and homework he assigns were a little weird, but you should do well on them regardless. He had no textbook for the online class; a huge money saver. Take him. Easy and low-stress class

I cannot say enough about Professor Kenmuir. I have never received such thorough and complete feedback on my writing. He uses examples from your writing and gives direct suggestions. After receiving the feedback, he allows you to fix your papers (there are three) and resubmit. Take this class, you will learn a lot.

He always provided well thought out feedback to help you improve your essays and he allows one redo per essay as long as you turn it in on time. The homework that he assigns helps you to write your essay in smaller sections so that it is easy to write the final draft.

Good prof. I took the summer class-> 3 main essays. You won't be overwhelmed when the essay is due because he does things step-by-step (aka homework assignments on what he expects for each paragraph). Follow his rubric exactly = 100s throughout. The only issue is his quizzes which can be subjective. There was no final exam for me.

I recommend taking this teacher! I really enjoyed his class and how he taught. He helped me improve my essays and was very clear and easy to understand in his feedback and instructions. He was funny but also professional and was a great experience for my first college English class.

Easy grader, thoughtful feedback, explains concepts very well. I did a whole assignment on the wrong topic and he still gave me an A because he said at least it followed the proper format haha, so kind of him. Even randomly cancelled the entire final exam. Great instructor. (Although, he can be vague in emails and on assignment requirements :/)

Professor Kenmuir was a great professor for me to have for 102. I learned so much on how to properly research and write a paper. After writing my papers I would go back and read them at a later date and would be so amazed at how much I have grown as a writer. I would definitely recommend.

At first, I had mixed emotions about this class but with time it got a little easier. There are 4 major essays but each of the homework assignments breaks it down for you and he provides great feedback on how to improve your writing. I'd take his class again. If you like constructive criticism to improve your writing this is the class for you.

Geoff has to be one of the best English professors I've had! Having come from CCSD schools with teacher shortages and seemingly insufficient effort or enthusiasm you should expect from teachers, Geoff blew that out of the water. He gave concise, positive feedback on where you were having trouble and ensured you could be as successful as possible.

Best prof i've ever had. Took him for 101 and was lucky enough to have him for 102 too. English was always boring and stressful to me, but each hw and quiz assignment actually helps you for the major essays. These assignments are basically the essay broken down and leaves you to finish the remaining (less than half) on your own. 11/10 great prof!!

Lots of assignments, prob 4 a week but mostly small & easy & you really learn how to write a great paper in easy stages. It's interesting too, & he gives great feedback. I've definitely improved and finally understand MLA format too. The only hard thing is the quizzes, the questions are tricky, there is no limit tho, so take your time.

Prof. Kenmuir was the best English professor I have ever had. For English 101 he gave 1 research project, 2 essays, and a final essay. Each essay is split into multiple assignments detailing a structure of how to right an essay. When writing the final draft you can just copy and paste these assignments, as he reviews in great detail. Amazing prof.

Prof. Kenmuir is great, would take again. His sarcasm is great, however it doesn't always read right through the online class. Words of Affirmation is def is love language, he gives great feedback on each assignment. Read and go through modules thoroughly. Great information. Quick responses through Canvas.

Professor Kenmuir is awesome! His Canvas is very organized and easy to follow. No textbook is required. Each module is labeled as an assessment with assignments under it that will help you complete the assessment. No midterm. The final exam is an essay. Very kind and caring. Responds to emails fairly quickly.

Great prof. Very manageable workload, 90% of assignments are basically you writing the essays. There is 1 Research Project, 2 Essays (5 and 8 paragraphs respectively), and a final. Very friendly and caring, will allow late submissions if you forget, and is funny.

Professor Geoffrey Kenmuir was great! I am not a writer at all, but this professor broke down all the different parts of writing an essay and made it feel less overwhelming. He made the class interesting through the content we wrote about, funny comments, and gave helpful feedback. Read everything he posts, follow the examples, you will do great!

Prof. does a good job breaking up assignments so the essays are not hard. His feedback is great, there are 3 main essays with small assignments in between, final exam is filling in an essay. Just focus on the different parts of the essay and you'll do fine. He responds quickly, has a great sense of humor, no late work accepted unless its emergent.

This professor was by far my favorite! There are 3 major essays with many small assignments but every assignment works on a skill that helps that essay. Even with all the assignments, it was never overwhelming and they were all quite easy to get done. I cannot recommend this professor enough, this was one of my most positive experiences at CSN.

JUST TAKE HIS CLASS!! If you have a chance to take his class, just do it! He is very caring for his students and ALWAYS gives feedback on assignments, which I love since I am not very good at writing. I would take his class again if he taught ENG 231. His writing assignments are about court cases and they are really interesting!

I would highly recommend this professor! He made the class so easy and exciting to attend. He's really funny, down to earth & treats his students as if they're his friends. He always gives lots of feedback on EVERY assignment and broke down the essay assignments in parts so they're always easy to do. By far my favorite class & professor at CSN.

Great professor! Made essays fun and easy to tackle. He broke down essay projects in bite sizes and always gave feedback. Papers were about 5-8 pages but with him breaking down the essay in parts every week it made it easy. We had 2 small essays and 3 main ones.

He's great! Not only is he a good teacher but he teaches interesting topics. There's 1 easy research project about the Constitution, essays about trials (Casey Anthony and OJ Simpson), and a final essay on JFK. Easy to get a hold of and explains why you got a certain grade.

Makes me want to flunk out of his class just so I have to retake it. he's 5/5 for a reason!

Essay writing seems scary, but this professor did a great job of making it manageable. Over the course of the modules, you'll write different parts of the papers bit by bit so that you won't end up having to do so much in the end which I love as someone who tends to do things last minute. It makes it less stressful! He's a rather easy grader too.

Great class and great professor - the entire course is just preparing to write for essays, but he breaks it down into manageable and easy to understand chunks, so it's not that overwhelming. Answered my questions/emails very quickly and helpfully. If the subject material of the essays isn't for you, he's more than happy to give you an alternative.

I love completely love professor Kenmuir! He is the best teacher I ever had! I wish he could teach all subjects! I'm in his summer class and although it is fast paced and homework nearly everyday its easy and I love his topics! I'm telling you take him you won't regret it! (I'm getting an A btw)

I took Professor Kenmuir during summer and let me tell you, even though the class is fast paced the assignments were very easy to understand. He gives his own examples on how to complete each assignment which came in very handy. He has discussion boards/quiz that are easy to get points for if you want to bring your grade up. 100% recommend.

Best english teacher ever!! Go do yourself a favor and choose him, super easy and clear grading criteria. We only do 1 research project, 2 essays, and the final which is an essay. If you get points taken off, he'll tell you why. He gives clear examples of what to do and is hilarious!

Took this Geoff online for English 102. I took his in-person english 101 last semester so I know he's a great teacher, but 102 work is much more difficult than 101 work, prepare to actually have do to research and be good at writing.

The first paper is just showing off skills (Quotes, Summaries). Then, there are two essays, and the final is filling in an incomplete essay. All the homework is just writing parts of the essay (Thesis, Intro, Body, Conclusion), which made it easier to write essays. There are quizzes scattered about. The entire course is open, so you can go ahead.

I took Pro. Kenmuir for 101 and 102 (online). Great teacher and made the class fun and engaging for everyone. He leaves comprehensive feedback on all assignments and wants to see his students succeed. You'll be writing several papers, but he goes through everything very well and makes it easy to see improvement and a good grade. Highly recommend.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER. Gives the most clear instructions on every assignment, and gives his own personal examples of the assignments that made everything so easy and clear. Gives phenomenal feedback on every assignment. He is genuinely the funniest professor and makes you laugh every single class. Do not take any other professor. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!!!

I haven't finished the class all the way yet. But we just got done with our first writing assignment for the semester and I admire the feedback he gives. He communicates better than a lot of professors I've taken in the past. All the grading criteria was clear, he's fairly easy depending how well you can manage the homework.

10/10. This professor is enjoyable and makes the class fun. We wrote multiple papers, but in small parts. Each one was a different "true crime" theme. I loved this class. He finds ways to make English easy and fun. I would take this class over and over, with the same professor if needed. He is wonderful.

Not a single "Awful" rating, note that. His lectures are fun, his teaching is straight forward, and keeps the class active. One thing to note, PLEASE participate. My class was very quiet, and it hurt when he tried to keep the mood up and nobody was budging. I ended up raising my hand more than I ever had in my life just to not leave him hanging.

Take him! He taught me how to write! Essays don't scare me anymore!

Professor Kenmuir was incredibly personable; good sense of humor and easy to reach. I came into this class with little confidence in my writing and unable to fulfill even the most basic of prompts. The # of due dates was nervewracking at times, although I find that it was necessary to become the writer I am today. Do the work and you will succeed!

The deadlines were painful (for the 8-week course), but the professor's method of teaching was easy to follow and effective. He is very approachable and gives great feedback. Great class

I took his summer class, and it was a lot of homework (almost every day) because he breaks down essays into parts until you have to submit the full paper. He was an easy grader as long as you followed MLA. His quizzes were occasionally confusing, but he was clear on essay instructions. An A in his class is a 95 minimum if that matters to you.

10/10 overall, amazing feedback on everything i've submitted. Only complaint is you should not fall asleep in his class or he will kick you out. otherwise? he will never have an issue with you.

10/10 would take it again. His assignments are very straight forward and he includes what is needed in the explanation. While attendance is mandatory, he makes his class fun and engaging. The only thing I would have to say is remember the deadlines. He does not accept any form of late work and missing one major assignment can cause you to fail.

Super great teacher, always reacts with the students actively comments on your assigment on what you did wrong, so you can improve on the next assigments.
