highly likeable and down to earth guy.Has his PHD but you would never know it because of his down to earth attitude. I took his class twice.

Mr. Simmon is definitely a liberal hippie type, but he's super cool and very smart. His class isn't that hard if you listen in class and read the book. Expect to hear lots of fun stories!!

Mr. Simmon is a funny guy. He holds my interest and the only things you get graded on are 4 tests. It's pretty easy and not too boring.

Very interseting. He holds your attention and always has interesting topics to talk about that relate to the material. Very experienced.

He's a cool and interesting guy. You must read the book to do well on the test (only 9 questions from lecture). There's only 2 essays on the exams and the rest is mult. choice...no homework. For a challenge he's good, and he's very opinionated.

Mr Simmons does a good job of clearly putting the material we are learning into perspective by it's relation to our own screwed up socioty. It helps that his personal views can be easilly understood in his lectures, to help illustrate valid points. If you pay attention in class you'll do fine.

He has a passon for the matterial he teaches, kept me very interested in the class, read the book to do well on the test and the essays are a give away

He is a very interesting instructor. His class consists of lectures from outside the textbook (mostly) and very easy multiple choice and essay questions. Don't worry, though, he gives out the essays verbatim to you. In short, he is a good professor who genuinely loves what he teaches. Get him.

Awsome guy, if you want to pass the tests, use the web site, almost 1/2 the questions are word for word. Good class and intresting lectures.

Mr. Simmons is the coolest guy ever!!! Very liberal and easy going. His lectures are fun and tests are so-so. As long as you read your material you will get an A.

Focuses on the "Evil Eliet", but hes a great guy. Tests are fair, straight from the book, gives you the essay questions in advance. Take his class! It's a riot! Most lectures are ramblings, but funny and interesting none the less!

Mr. Simmon is the definition of laid back. From his sandals, t's and shorts, to his hair and glasses, he's really cool and mellow. The class is the same. If you read the chapters, you can atleast get a B on all the tests, and there's rarely homework. He's very smart when it comes to soc., but not so much when it comes to spelling. :)

Mr. Simmon is awesome. He is definetly a cool dude and he knows what he is talking about. Listen well in class and make sure to quiz yourself online before. He rocks and is the coolest dude in the department.

pay attention in class or you will not do well, take notes or you will not do well, know the Q's when you are getting rdy for the tests. There are 4 tests and a paper on your background. Kindof interesting except that its sometimes completely off subject information. He's fun to debate with, and if you're a minority he'll love you.

Read the chapters and let yourself be entertained in class. Tests are pretty easy, he gives out the essay questions before the test, so there is no reason to not get them right. He is sarcastic and funny.

This is an interesting class and Mr. Simmon is hilarious. He really knows what he's talking about. He kind of looks like Einstein...

I adored this guy! He was really down to earth, a tad on the liberal side but he wasn't offensive. His letcures were always interesting & he gives good notes. Probably a good idea to read the textbook for tests, and make sure you do the essay questions that he gives you before the tests (they help!) Over all, awesome :)

I enjoyed the lectures--Mr. Simmon doesn't shy away from voicing his more liberal opinions. Reading the textbook is absolutely necessary to successfully answer the tough-yes TOUGH- multiple choice questions on the exams. The immigration/term paper isn't that difficult. It's not a strict-form sociology paper. He's sympathetic and enjoyable.

I enjoyed his class very much. He is a really interesting guy that keeps the class engaged. He is not afraid to say what he thinks but he is happy to hear what others think as well. He is smart, friendly, and really helpful.

I loved this class, mostly because he was wasy to listen to, and it was all very interesting. READ THE CHAPTERS. Almost everything on the tests is in the text; I read the chapters like, a day before each test, and got an A on every one.

Very funny and friendly guy. Class was easy but be warned, he's a flaming liberal. This class will be taught from a very left bias, but just study the BS and you'll do fine. The worst stat he made up was that 70-80% of women only have sx with who they eventually marry. I laughed my butt off, but just know he's wearing liberal goggles.

Mr. Simmons is fantastic. Yes, he is a liberal and has his opinions, but they go along with the textbook, that you MUST read to do well in class. No assignments, just lectures, and his tests are well written and go along with everything - just sometimes very specific. He was my favorite teacher the semester I had him!

He was a great teacher and really funny. He made the class interesting and would always be willing to listen to your opinions about things. He really respects his students. As long as you read the textbook you should do really well in his class

Pretty interesting fella. Ya, he has more of a liberal view, but if you just keep your mouth shut and listen to his lectures than you'll do fine. He is FULL of information, not saying it's all true, but it's deff fun to listen to him and his off the wall jokes. Played his guitar for us (summer session) and let us out early everyday. Laid back fosho

He can be a nutcase, but he's pretty interesting for the most part. Try to make him your last class of the day because you get out early sometimes. Grade is based on three tests. Just pay attention. You will need to read the book but doing the essay questions he gives you will cover most of what you need to know of what he didn't cover in class.

Hilarious guy! He doesn't own a TV which explains him in one sentence. Walks into class everyday with a joke or funny story. The test questions are all from the textbook. So just read the chapters and understand the concepts and you will do fine. Very interesting and you learn alot from his lectures!

I thought this was an interesting class, he is a good guy. I was not sorry I took it in person and I learned stuff. I used my book and online resources and got all A's.
