Dr. Cornelius is one of my favorite instructors. Has open hours to assist students, and genuinely cares how well you do. There is no reason for anyone who really cares about learning in his class to get less than a "B".

Dr. Cornelius was an excellent teacher. He treated all of his students equally and was always fair. He made the learning process fun without a lot of "fluff". His class really accomodated the needs of students at all levels of learning.

probably one of the more enjoyable classes i have ever taken. He is a nice guy and will talk to you about almost anything if you bring it up in discussion. If you give any effort you will get an A no problem, since he teaches very well.

Very excited about teaching the Spanish culture. A little bit of a scatter-brain, but a very good professor all the same!

Be warned: He tells you at the beginning of the semester that the class is mostly independent study. If you take the time to do the assignments in the language lab and especially study the test generator, you'll do fine. He's a bit distracted in class, but eventually he gets to the point. I would recommend him.

He is a good teacher. he teaches you about the spanish language and the culture in latin america. he also goes off topic and talks to his students about life. he is a very helpful professor, and i would definately reccommend him.

I have to say I'm happy with Dr. Cornelius. He wanders a bit in lessons, but connects it all to Spanish in the end. He makes it fun, and is very approachable, AND he's a native speaker. Just a warning, though: most of the classwork is outside work.You'll have time to do it if you don't put it off, & if you do, and you pay attention, you'll do well.

This has to be one the most intellegent man I have ever met. If you do the work and use the test generator and you go to class and listen you will do well. He teaches repetitive techniques which are imperative if you want to learn a foregin language. Highly recommend Dr Cornelius and you better sit up front. Estar Aqui Ahora!!!

This professor is great. YES, he talks alot about Physics and the MIND but only to help encourage students that anything is possible. Excellent in explaining things. Very funny professor. DO THE TEST GENERATOR practice tests. Took him for 2 classes, got a A and B.

Good teacher. Does go off on tangents but he does want his students to succeed inside and outside the classroom. Has mad xtra credit if you want. I did the minimum and received 2 A's in his classes. You can pass the class on paper if you want. He makes good use of mnemonics to help you remember conjugation. Overall a good experience.

At least he talked a fair amount about some interesting stuff. I felt as though he made no effort to learn who students were or anything about them. Also came off as a bit conceited I think. Obviously a very intelligent man though. I felt the class was an easy A if you need a language. He does throw in some good bits of wisdom and self help too.

I am in 1121 class with different instructor and can see in hindsight what a great teacher he is. Makes class interesting. Need to study outside of class but will learn inclass too. He requires everyone to participate but everyone is making the same mistakes-so don't be embarrassed. Wants everyone to succeed knowing most take course for reqmt.

One of the best Spanish teachers currently at BCC. His method of teacher is anything but traditional, but you walk away learning more than you think. He doesn't get personal with his students, but he tries to have an impact on everyone's life. Good professor and an easy A.

Cornelius is honestly one of the best teachers I have ever had in my life. He's incredibly motivated and positive, and it definitely rubs off on his students. Well, at least it did on me. Dr. Cornelius is one of the best Professors ever not only does he teach you spanish but opens up worlds of thought that you never know exisited!! Take him and he will share "The Secret" with you it just about change my life and i thought i was just in his class to learn spanish...TAKE HIM you wont be sorry!!!

A wonderful teacher! I have taken him for both Spanish 1 & 2 and I wouldnt have it any other way. You have to try to fail the class. His class goes beyond just Spanish. I enjoy every second of his class.

Those who complain about this class/instructor have obviously missed out on the lessons he is trying to teach. He knocks out the excuses for not being able to learn Spanish. Students are responsible for their learning - he is there to show you how to learn it. He gives every opportunity for students to do their best. If you listen - you learn.

Dr. Cornelius is the kind of professor that realizes everyone can succeed. You will not regret taking this class if you are into having a life-altering experience! I learned very little Sapnish from him directly, the book and the massive amounts of CD roms are the main educator. He shows you Quantum Physics.

This is a great class. Dr. Cornelius has a style of teaching that is very motivating and fun. He wants to help the student become succesful in Spanish, and in every other aspect of their life. His teaching method keeps the class amused, and I love going to class-that's a first! The homework is not hard, but VERY time consuming.

He takes a personal interest in the well-being of his students and has a unique teaching style. Everyone will participate in every class. Did not care for some of his non-class related opinions. I disagree with his views on the electoral college since it doesn't favor any one party. I think he is wrong about Airbus being superior to Boeing.

I took this class during the summer. A lot of work for summer, but doable. He is a very nice teacher and makes class interesting. Tests are easy as long as you look over his review. You have labs to do, but those are easy too. Over all a reccommendable class!

Had this teacher for SPN 1 and currently have him for SPN 2, he is nice but does take a long time taking attendence. He is a good teacher and very understanding. Somewhat an easy A, but you must study to achieve one. He gives a lot of extra credit to students. I enjoyed having him.

I got an A after failing Spanish 3 times in HS. Go to class every day. Do your lab time from the very beginning. Pay attention. The practice tests practically hand you the answers, with minimal extra work. No teacher ever made me believe I could pass Spanish, and then proved it to me, like Dr. Cornelius.

Dr. Cornelius is a fantastic professor who wants ALL of his students to succeed. He tries his best to make the class fun and easy to be part of. Seriously, this has been my favorite all time class, both of them Spanish I and II! If an average student like me can earn A's in this class, so can ANYONE!!! Dr. Cornelius is the best!

Exceptional! Language does not come easy to me. He made class fun while we learned Spanish. If you follow his recommendations, you can't fail. He wants all his students to succeed, not only in his class but in all classes and he provides the tools needed to achieve this.

FACT 1: If you want to learn Spanish; Dr. Cornelius is your teacher. He allows you to be in complete control of your grades. If attend class, do the assignments, and utilize the Spanish lab, then you?re basically guaranteed an ?A? in his Class. If that is not enough, take advantage of the extra credit he makes available to you.

You definitely need to study in his class. He talks about everything he's interested in, not just spanish. He's a good guy, homework is taxing, there's a lot! But tons of extra credit available (USE IT!) I got an A in Spanish I - III, get in the lab. Text books and attendance are a must! Pay attention to the study guides and homework for the tests.

If you wanna experience another language and eventually another culture this class is great. He WANTS you know how to speak it. And when a teacher really cares about you then the class is a breeze. Just make sure not to fall behind in the easy weekly homework. Study for his easy tests and I guarantee you will get an A.

Class was very easy. "Journal" and practice quiz due every class period. 10 hours of community service required. A 1500 word essay on the 9 steps of success due at end of semester (very easy). Teacher loves and believes in what he is teaching. Very enjoyable. Towards the end of semester you get out of class very early.

This is the best spanish teacher that I have ever had. I recommend everyone to take this teacher.

I took Spanish 1 & 2 with Dr. Cornelius. If you are not interested in the hispanic language or the culture, don't take his class. It was challenging work & I enjoyed his class. Very direct & Maestro will be your bestfriend. If you pay attention to all the opportunities he give you to keep your grade up, take advantage of them.

Easy A! Cool class, but sometimes professor goes on about mythology and such. Final was just showing up the last day and writing a page essay about what we learned. Take him if you want to learn to succeed or just need an A in a Elective:)

I thought he was a great teacher, and I could really tell he cared about each student's grade. Although I already knew Spanish, I feel like even if I had not, I still would have learned a lot. I took this class online and thought he did assign a lot of unnecessary homework, but was a very easy class in which make it very easy to earn a good grade.

This class alone is life changing but Mr. Cornelius cares about you and your life and how you do. He gives great feedback and gives assignments that make you think and are fun and inspiring.

I've had this professor for both Success Strategies and Spanish, and he's the best teacher I've ever had. He's very inspirational and positive no matter the day or time. The course is extremely easy. If you're looking for an easy A this is the class. Plus, if you pay attention you learn a lot of important techniques that will benefit you in other college classes.

Very weird class, easy for the most part. Not what I was expecting though. A lot of easy assignments, due every time you meet.

I took this class online and it was really easy. I am the biggest procrastinator in the world and my final grade was a 99.9% You pretty much just have to write about yourself the whole semester. He isn't a harsh grader. As long as you do the assignments, you'll be good. I think everyone should take this class because you really learn a lot.

Stay ahead in this class or you will have problems. Spanish is not an easy A so you must work for A. The portales software has a lot homework and requires a lot of time! At least 8 hours a week for the homework, 1 hour for canvas work DF etc. Portales software will penalize 1% for everyday late. Don't spend too much time on HW that is hard.

Professor Cornelius is always available when need. He likes for you to work with a partner when available. He would not let you get anything less than a 100 if you put the work in.

Extremely easy to pass. but could be boring depending on your interests. Each class felt like being preached to about his religion, nothing actually has to do with success unless you believe opening your mind to the universe is the key to existence. Pretend to agree and get a free A.

Overall, he was a decent professor. We had nightly homework, and daily quizzes, but they were all pretty easy. It was mostly an effort grade. Later we wrote short essays, but you got full credit if you followed the instructions. Overall a pretty easy class.

Took his online class and loved it. Very easy and interesting.

Foreign Language online? Take this guy. Very helpful, responds fast to messages, even on his "days off". Everything is done through VHL online, which allows for you to work at your own pace as you feel is needed. I took this with three other courses and it didn't require all that much work.

Took Spanish 2 online with him. Really consistent schedule- online Spanish lessons and a discussion post every week. Fairly forgiving on late submissions, just don't do it too often. I would only take it online if you're already pretty solid in Spanish. Overall really great experience

TAKE THIS CLASS!!! Easy, interactive class online. He's a super fast grader, e-mails very fast, and he gives extra credit to literally everything... I mean everything. My grade is 108% right now. No essays, decent amount of homework and it's fun learning! Super caring and very understanding. Just do your work.

He also taught College Success Skills. I used his success principles, that he does discuss in Spanish, while attaining my Engineering Masters at UF. He is eccentric and energetic like every great person I have met. He is also a respected institution. This is the only issue that anyone that gave him a low rating could have. (You know the type).

Excellent class, He seriously spells out everything you need to know at the beginning of this class. READ the syllabus and his notes. He is very clear on how to proceed and how to obtain an A. He does have some snarky replies but I can understand some of it is due to students not following clear directions. Lots of work but easily accomplished.

Professor C is an amazing teacher. He uses Vistas for Spanish 1 online. There is a discussion and self assessment every week. 4 Exams over individual content so no mid term or final, and the exams aren't proctored. There are no group projects, but he does expect you to practice with a partner either in class or out. 10/10 would take him again!
