Great lectures. Confusing quizzes. Midterm is fairly easy, but final is take-home.

You basically have to teach yourself the material for objective tests (65% of the grade). However, they're multiple choice/fill in the blank and test mostly on the main ideas. His stories are interesting, but he sometimes goes off on pseudo-political tangents that are basically BS. Good class.

By far the best history teacher I have ever had. I never wanted to miss his class. Ya, you have to read the material for yourself-- THIS IS COLLEGE!! Read the pages he tells you to, show interest in the class, and take good notes when he tells you to and you will get an A.

The best history teacher at KSU!! The man is very intelligent and taught me things that I am still using 2 years later. His syllabus is long but that shouldn't deter you from staying in his class. He tells you exactly what you'll be tested on. If you study and do the final (take home) you'll earn an easy A. Nobody should get less than a B!!

you can fail pretty much all his quizzes and still get a B in the class. Midterm essay is given word for word and you just have to memorize it and write it down. Final is just write down your notes in "outline" format. Super easy! Just take notes- very easy class.

Despite the bs everyone is saying honestly this guy is great, I hardly went to class and never even opened the book I made 50's on all the quizzes and the midterm and final is just an outline of the notes he gives u the answers to the midterm and the final and the final is take home he even gives u a free quiz....the rest is all on you...I made a B

This guy is really helpful and is easy. you do need to read the readings he has assigned b/c they come exactly off that page so easy quizzes. he gives out some answers sometimes. midterm and final are even easier than the quizes. final is a take home. you just have to make an outline of the notes so you have to come to class. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM

Easily one of the easiest History classes I've taken ever. His stories make for a fascinating lecture. He makes it very easy to pass the class by telling you *exactly* what to study. Lectures are for the midterm and final, quizes are from the book pages he lists on the syllabus. Failing this class is a reflection on the student, not the teacher.

Great teacher and very easy. Going to class is a must because he gets very specific on the notes, but he doesn't take attendance. He gives answers to his quizzes and he tells you EVERYTHING for the midterm and final. He talks a lot about everything and gets off track all the time. No assignments except a couple of maps.

I took his class in summer school. The first thing he said was, "if we don't get all the way through everything, then we just don't get through it". He tells all kinds of stories of things he has experienced. Midterm and Final are outlines that you simply memorize and rewrite!!! He gives them to you!!

Awesome guy, really fun. Lecture are a bit boring. But there is a lot he expects you to know for this class, and you need to dig around in the book to study for the quizzes. This is by far the best grade I am getting in any of my 5 classes this semester, honestly you've got to be a****not to get an A in here.

Professor Cronin was an amazing teacher. I had never enjoyed history until his class. The quizzes can be a bit tricky but if you study and do your work you should get an A.

Prof Cronin is the best, I think every one shoul take him once in there whole academic life.

History is so boring but he makes it fun b/c he's visited to many countries. His stories are fun! Come to class b/c he tells you which topics will be on the test. You learn a lot from this man!

Ehh. If u like to learn then, he's not the prof for u. The class is super easy & he's really nice, and his stories are funny but I feel cheated. He gives u the answers & u memorize them & write them down. Its very short-term. Easy A..take it if you don't worry about retaining any info for later use.

Cronin is a great professor. His lectures are interesting but long, and he tells funny stories to relate to the lesson. He drops the lowest test grade and often helps you with some of the test answers. He is very helpful and knows the material by heart. Midterm is a memorize type of test, final is take home. I recommend this class, Cronin is great

Stay away. I studied hours for every quiz, and I failed all but two. The midterm and the final are easy. Take all the notes you can. He does give a curve at the end of the semester. I just didn't enjoy the feeling of studying for nothing all semester.

Dr. Cronin is awesome. He's a great story teller but he class is long. His quizzes are kind of hard but not really because he gives you the questions and answers during the lecture. His midterm and final are essays but they are easy because he tells you everything that is going to be on there. I would highly recommend him.

absolutely amazing teacher. can tell he loves history and is extremely helpful. the first 2 quizes he gives you the questions and answers word for word on the test. as well as for the mid term. I highly recommend taking his class can definetly get an A if you read the book and stick to his method of studying.

Best History professor I have ever had, hands down. If you do not make an A or B in this class, you simply didn't show up and follow his instructions. The course is not objectively easy, but he basically holds your hand to show you how to learn and how to take tests well, which helps a lot. Great storyteller, and an awesome man to learn about too!

Wow! What an Eye Opening experience! Professor Cronin includes modern day faith healing, witchcraft, and levitation to bring the ancient world alive! Comparing the historical persecution of Jews to Jim Jones was inspired. So what if his lectures have nothing to do with his tests! Praise the Lord for George Cronin; History finally taught right!

This professor is GREAT!! Only 5 quizzes and he tells you exactly what pages to read. And 2 exams, tells you exactly whats on them. His Lectures are very interesting you come out knowing alot. Just come to class and take notes (his exams are based on his lectures) & you'll do great. I would definitely take him Again.

5 quizzes..first quiz he gives you the answers plus he drops your lowest. 2 essays: mid-term and final but they're not narrative essays; you just do an outline. Final exam is take home plus you have 2 maps. his lectures are very funny and interesting. There's no way you can get below a B in this class :)

Excellent professor for a required lower class. Loves his job, exciting and energetic atmosphere! His main concern is you making a good grade in his class and is willing to take drastic measures to ensure his class succeeds! STRONGLY RECCOMMEND THIS PROF!!

Wonderful teacher! i loved going to his class it was like story time =] he was a lot of fun and would always answer your questions. the first test he gives you the questions and answers and then he gives the pages out of the text that the questions come from. the midterm is memorization-easy stuff and the final is take home-loves his job-take him

Very great professor. Gives study guides and pages to read for the quizzes. Drops the lowest quiz grade. Lectures were interesting but were sometimes hard to follow. My only complaint is that it was straight lecture, so there was no real power point. So if you are a visual learner, you may have some issues. But I came out with an A in the course.

Prof. Cronin set the bar for teaching history at this school. Maybe the head of the department could round up all these part timers and force them to sit in one of his classes for a semester. They may learn how it is done!

Put it into to a word doc or print it out and just fill it in? no big surprises on the test ..he gives you the exact pages to read and gives you sample questions for each quiz? come to class read the pages and do the sample questions and you will get an A. Prof. Cronin is great! Come to class, take notes w/ outline provided, listed to lectures, enjoy the stories and read the assigned study pages. Lowest quiz grade is dropped. Prof. Cronin is very helpful and he wants you to succeed. He gives you tips on how to study for any class you take.

He's a rockstar of teachers! Classy and charismatic. Come to class and see what a teacher should be. Smart, intelligent, witty and helps you learn a few things you did not before. His class is absolutely fantastic, and he is extremly helpful.

I didn't buy the textbook and got a B, if I had it an A would've been very easy. Cronin is very passionate about history, his testing methods are a bit unorthodox, but they aren't bad. Bottom line, the guy is great, you should take him.

Be sure to use he study guides for the tests. they are on his website but a little hard to find. He is a good lecturer and wants students to do well.

The easiest HIST teacher ever! He teaches through stories. He loves HIST. Listen to what he says and follow the instructions for tests and assignments. If you come to class and use the book, you will get an A. Sounds silly to say that, but apparently many students believe college will be easy without participation. He makes class plain and simple!

His method of teaching works!Just go to class, take notes or record them, and do the map assignments. He wants you to make an A so don't miss the class before the midterm and use the system he tells you about on that night!!! Awesome instructor!

I have never learned and come to love so much history as i did in this man's class. He changed my life. Two tests, about 5 quizzes and two map projects. He is not all about the grades and more about teaching you about life. He tells stories and makes you understand. Love him. Could listen tohim for hours. TAKE HIM you wont regret it!

He's awesome. I go to class just to listen to his hilarious stories and comments. Very smart, teaches you not only history, but life lessons.

Cronin can be described in two words, THE MAN. He has some great stories and teaches you a little bit about life along the way. I would take this class again in a heartbeat. pretty easy A as well for minimal work!! Probably the best dressed teacher on a day to day basis at KSU to boot.

He is a good professor and he is SUPER easy. He gives a review for every test and gives you the page numbers to read to answer the reviews. He says his midterm and final are "short answer" but in his mind that means bulleted points. Take him if you can, he is a good professor and really easy.

Professor Cronin is great! You must attend class to get his helpful hints for the tests and quizzes. I only wished that he used georgiaview however he does have his own website.

Kinda grueling class, but you need to go to every one. It's worth it for the quizzes and midterm and final. Easy A if you read and go to class.

Overall a great class. He is very clear about what is on the quizzes, midterm and final. He literally gives you the answers for the first quiz and then gives you all the page numbers for the rest. He also gives you the midterm the exact way he wants it. You have to attend class for the lectures if you want to pass though.

The reason he is so awesome is not just because he is easy like everybody seems to say. Even if he was one of the hardest teachers, I'd still recommend him because he is interesting as hell. Him being easy is a plus, but the reason everybody loves him is cause he's an amazing storyteller and really knows what hes talking about.

Best teacher you can take for this class. He teaches at weird times, but its worth it to take him. It's extremely easy to get an A as long as you show up. Take him, you wont regret it.

He tells u what u need to write down 4 tests or exams so u don't have to take tons of notes. he makes his lectures very interesting. Wish he was teaching other history classes so I could take again. doesn't use textbook much, only used for studying for tests if u missed class.

This guy is great. He talks fast so it's a bit hard to take notes. It's also early in the morning so even though he's very interesting it's hard to stay fully aware of what he's saying especially if you got a busy schedule. GO to class ALWAYS. He gives extra credit in class. Take good notes and study them! 6 quizzes drop 2, midterm and final

Best teacher I have had so far.He is a great speaker and his lectures are entertaining.You do have to pay attention to do well but if you go class everyday it should be an easy A.

HILARIOUS professor with some very interesting stories to accompany his lecture. If you don't love history, he will make you love it. Almost all of test/quiz questions come from his power points. Actually teaches step-by-step you how to pass his final exam. Ended up being my favorite class of the semester. Take him! You won't regret it.

I HATE HISTORY, but this guy has got it down to a science, almost quite literally. He is funny, interesting, and very smart. He doesn't use Vista, but you don't really need it. All material from textbook. 4 tests, lowest dropped + 2 "map quizzes." I can honestly say that I've learned more about history in this class than any other.

Prof Cronin is AMAZING! I was so lucky to have him my freshmen year. He know his subject and relates to life events. He's hilarious and goes above and beyond to help his students. He gives 5 quizzes lowest gets dropped and basically gives you the answers to the mid-term and final. If you have a chance to be in his class take it you won't regret it.

Professor Cronin is my favorite professor at KSU. He loves history and tells it like a story - as interesting as can be. He works hard to prepare you for each Quiz and Essay Test. Attendance is not mandatory but if you're in class - he basically hands you the test questions and answers. Take good notes and/or record lecture.

I loved his class! He was so funny and had me smiling for 3 hours straight! I have NEVER enjoyed history until this class. He makes so many connections to our lives that it doesn't seem like ancient history! I learned SO much and would recommend him to anyone!

Really cool, funny teacher. Lectures for most of the class time but always amuses his students with his past stories. Attendance isn't mandatory but I recommend going cause he pretty much gives you the answers to tests. He makes history interesting and I recommend him for HIST 1110.

My favorite teacher so far. Sets up his grade scale to make it so anyone who wants an A will get it. Tells lots of fun stories. You'll enjoy attending his class . He truly loves his job and it shows through his teaching. Uses his own website so you don't have to deal with GaView and all its problems. Get registered ASAP, his classes fill quickly.

EXCELLENT professor. Wish I could have had him for hist2112. Keeps history interesting and makes you want to come to class. His tests are easy and if you come to class you will get A's on them every time. Always has a story to tell for every lecture. If you want a good history class and an easy A, take him.

I think Mr.Cronin is a wonderful teacher. I came into this class thinking I was going to hate it, but end up really enjoying it because he is a great story teller and well traveled and is very helpful on test. You're missing out if you don't take him.

Easy A. trust me. He gives you the answers to all the tests, literally. All you really have to do on your own is the final which is take home, but still isnt too hard. Funny professor. Tells lots of stories and is actually fun to listen to, and I hate history. Def. recommend.

Don't bother buying the book. Professor Cronin gives all of the answers to every exam in class. Show up, takes notes when he tells you to and you WILL get an A!

Prof Cronin is so kind and funny; his lectures are amazing, but sometimes confusing. As someone with very little background in world history, I got lost easily. Still, I would take him again. I suggest getting the textbook and reading it before each lecture. His tests don't really follow the book, but at least you'll be able to follow the lecture!

Cronin is definitely the guy to take. He's awesome. Make sure you pay attention to his "very important things" as they are the only things on his tests. 2 take home map quizzes are easy 100s. Midterm is bullet points. TAKE THIS CLASS.

he is amazing! and loves to teach! i was in the class that got the lowest average on the test and the midterm and he was more upset and shocked than anything else. He tells you what's on the test (anything that he repeats that is important) tells you EXACTLY how to do the midterm took , take home final will pass w good notes! Must attend! no book!

Prof. Cronin is an amazing guy. This class is one you literally have to try to fail. All you've got to do is go to class. It's that simple! He tells you exactly what's going to be on the tests, and exactly how to do the mid-term and finals. You've got to get this guy for this class! He can ramble sometimes, but the stories he tells are funny!

I. Love. George. Cronin. Unfortunately, this was his last semester of teaching. It is so sad to see him leave after so many years of teaching. He was so funny, so sweet, so brilliant, and just amazing...

So sad to see this man retire, but very honored to be a part of the last class he taught. He is the sweetest, funniest, and most brilliant man. Love him and will be forever grateful for this semester. Love you, Prof. Cronin! See you at 100 years old. ;)
