If you already know some about computers, not to hard, otherwise may be challeng
very boring class, ass. are easy/hard/confusing
Good teacher, easy class, lots of beautiful girls to look at if you get bored!
funny guy, easy class, just show up
Really boring, Hard tests, easy assignments, Hard to pay attention..
assignments are easy... tests are WAY hard. don't take!
Extremely hard tests. Easy HW Asgn.'s. Lectures are boring.
SOOO hard if you don't know much about computers! Test are freakishly hard!
tests can be difficult, but hw is really easy and he gives a lot of extra credit
don't get distracted by the NUB. You figure it out.(Left hand)
Very hard tests.
Exams have nothing to do with the information passed in class. Read alot!!!!
Very nice, very helpful, very hard tests. look at side notes for test answers.
I liked him. Very helpful if you ask him. For tests, just read the books.
if you want to pass with an a or b don't take his class!! its very HARD!!!!!
I got a c- by 6 points out of almost 500 and he wouldn't budge!!!
A really good introduction to IT. Go to class, do the homework and read the textbooks - you'll get a good grade. On test days, if you attend the second half of class he lets you retake the test in groups for extra credit.
A lot of homework, hard tests!!!
dont take this class early morning. tests are very hard, must read and know every detail in book! dont leave reading until the last minute
His lectures are unclear and boring. The tests are on little information w/in paragraphs not main topics. the class is difficult i'm just happy i don't have 2 take it again
This is a boring professor. Lots of homework which he doesn't explain, you have to read the text yourself.
Hard Tests read the book, projects are easy, an easy class if you are going to be an IT major, great prep for major
He is really fun to listen to and he makes things very clear
I really learned alot about computers. Very helpful through email with homework problems.
Tests hard, go to class for info not in book, read read read
BORING lectures, very hard tests. always stay after the tests are over though, he does give extra credit. lots of hw, but its not too bad.
The tests are hard, but if you do the extra-credit and the assignments on time it makes the course an easy "A." He brings high energy to his lectures and doesn't take himself too seriously. I enjoyed his lectures. You need to take good notes
Hard tests, and some confusing lectures. Nice teacher.
He is so boring and useless in his answers to the class. I don't learn anything and he seems to not know what he is doing. Outside of class, he is a nice guy but that doesn't help my grade!
Class was very easy as far as assignments. The tests are difficult if you don't read the book. Easton has a good sense of humor about the class.
boring class lectures suck assignments are a piece of cake but tests are way too hard. even if you read the book you cant get better than a 75 on the tests
This class is cake. People whine because the tests are hard, but TONS of extra credit easily makes up for that. He lets you drop one test (final included). Funny teacher. Suggestion: pay $20 for the study guide for the class. It helps!
Nice guy, but has no idea what he is doing for IDS 302. Half the time students would correct him. Seems pretty helpful and pretty friendly, if you kinda know what youre doing, youll be fine
Good guy. It seemed like he was not fully prepared to teach course. Did the best he could and gave you the benefit of the doubt especially with test scores. He is a rather dry professor however but I would take another of his classes.
Very hard tests and boring lectures. Very nice guy and willing to help with homework. Don't take at night it is too hard to stay for three hours. Homework is generally easy. Easy B if you go to class or just read the book.
Nice guy, quirky sense of humor. Hard tests, but easy HW and extra credit balance it out. It's def. worth it to take at night, just to get it out of the way.
Easy enough, but do not take it during summer school, you have to turn the assignment in the next day so you can't get help on it if you did not understand the homework
He is extremly nice, however he gives the hardests exams I have ever seen. I studied for five hours and got a 63 on an exam. All I have to say is thank goodness for extra credit

Nice guy, was tolhe was teachin 302, a week before school, so he was pretty disorganized. Helpful and generous with grades, extra credit. Just study and do the homework.
fair teacher. gives extra credit. long lectures and boring, but informative. says your gonna get out early, but always ends up going out later. fair grader. all scantron...just study. material just confusing, but its relativly easy
He's pretty cool. Just go to class and read the required material. He's really picky on the terms of each chapter. He's really helpful too if you visit him during his office hours.
Very nice guy, but extremely hard tests for how easy the material is. Got a B but had to really work at it!! HW is really easy though.
Nice guy. Assignments are easy but tests are hard, make sure to memorize definitions. Drops lowest test and gives extra credit.
Homework not too hard, but exams are killer. He drops one, which helps. Study!Study!study!
Homework is very easy. If you go to class he will show you how to do it step by step. Tests are another story. Read the book and go through his power points. He gives extra credit on random days for the people that are attending.
H/w is easy.He shows you how to do it in class. Tests are very confusing, and contain info. that doesn't even seem very important. Memorize everything! Very nice guy.
very boring course but very easy.
Very nice guy. His class is very easy and shows you exactly how he wants the hw done + the hw is VERY short! All test are multiple choice and you get one freebee. Easy class only complaint is he's boring and explains stuff 2X usually. Oh and gives EC!!
He goes off on random things, which makes the material really confusing! If you don't have a clue about Excel before you start this class, you are really going to be hurting through the semester! If he tells you that you will get out early, dont believe him!
He's confusing in how he addresses the subjects. The HW is hard and the directions are not clear at all. Hhe doesn't even know how to use Excel and Access but attempts to learn/discuss the problem during class hours. He'll hold you for entire class period even when he has nothing to say
Hard HW..the way he presents the matieral is extremely boring!!! The tests are hard too! But, he is a nice guy and is willing to help you, and lets you make up hw if he sees you care. But take someone else . P.s his wife is a harder teacher!
SO BORING!! this class sucks but if u gotta take it, you need to read the book. His lectures are really boring and no one listens but if you do all the hw it will save you. 4tests best 3 count. Some chances for EC but have to be there in class to get them. Very little effort=C
The way he teaches the class makes it really hard to pass. Has boring lectures that take up an entire class period, and nothing he mentions is on the exams. The exams are DEADLY. HW is fairly easy because he shows you exactly how to do it in class. I'm sure there are waaaay easier insturctors.
The homework is a piece of cake but the exams arent. You don't even need to go to class, because the lectures aren't even related to the tests. The last test had one A out of 225 people on it...so don't take this.
Homework is easy, exams are a butch, and class is very boring, but that could be due to the fact that I've been working with computers since I was 5
Worst teacher at SDSU...and that says a lot! Not responsive to e-mails, favors students who know everything prior to the class. Cannot teach, going to lecture is pointless and he does not prepare students for tests. He looks like a mole, how ironic, a mole could probably teach better than him.
Not too bad, but you really need to study for the exams, even if you think you know the material. Do the online practice problems and study the definitions...
Class can be passed easily, but getting a good grade is tough. I know computers very well and I had a hard time on tests. This is because material is from the book, even the lecture slides. Class is pointless but extra credit is given in a few of them. Try to stay away from the Eastons if possible
He did answer my emails whenever I had a question about a grade or assignment. He's always there during office hours if you need to talk to him. I'm knowledgable in computer, but I thought some of the questions on the tests were rediculous.
This is by far the most boring class at State. lectures are pointless bc he puts the powerpoint online. hw is easy. test were killer. drops the lowest one. The final was easier than any of the other test. He gives occasional EC during class. Dont expect an A unless your a computer person.
Very nice guy, too many powerpoint so it gets boring, but he explains clear enough, a lot of tests, drops the lowest one, likes students and will help you a lot.
He is a good guy and knows his stuff. He does have a heart and wants to help you if you want to help yourself. The tests are VERY HARD if you are just trying to slide by. Do homework, read every chapter, go over test review terms before test and do extra credit, but an A is hard to come by!!
Very nice guy, but difficult tests. I studied all material and still only got Cs and Ds on tests. Just make sure to do all homework right and be in class to get extra credit it will help in the end. The main thing to learn in his lectures is excel, it will be on every test!!!
Way too much busy work. Had two 90's and a 70 on tests and 100/120 on final, did all hw, and still got a B- in the class. And my level of knowledge with computers is expert, degree from heald. All the work will suprise a slacker.
assignments were pretty easy, the tests were extremly hard. he helps you on the assignments so i suggest go to class. good luck on the tests everybody!
It's not that the class is really hard, it's just that the material should be really easy...Easton just makes it difficult. If you want an A, go to class, take notes, read the chapters (take notes on them), review his power points & compare them with your notes, study, study study...worked for me.
Really Nice Prof...but def not easy. The test are hard...visit his office hours to find out how to study for him. Easy to pass, hard to get a good grade. Drops the lowest test and has about 7 small excel assignments
He is a really nice guy, make sure to go to his office if you need any help...GO to class, it makes a huge different on understanding assignments. Tests are WAY too hard- questions on small details, study!!
Do ALL Homework! This will save you in his class. This professor asks questions, you will overlook when studying! Annette Easton is his wife, shes harder....dont take her. I advise to study all powerpoints/homework. Some of the hardest questions come from the application side of it, take the online quizzes, and go to class..he has questions fro
he's alright, not as bad as some make him out to be. it's just the tests that are hard, questions are too specific. go to class cause some times he'll randomly give you assignments which are easy points. he goes over how to do the hw too. work with someone on the assignm, it helps a lot. do the e.c.! only 3 out of 4 tests count. read the book!
He hardly ever reviewed for tests, and test info seemed to come out of nowhere. Assignments are useful. Make sure you go to class b/c sometimes he gives in class assignements or extra credit.
This class shouldnt be hard, but it is. The assignments are really easy, but the tests are impossible. The hardest parts of the test are the application portions and even the rest isnt easy.
i was forced to take one of the eastons and got a D+ while studying hard, beware
Not as bad as everyone thinks. Get to know him and get help if you need by going to his office. He is helpful and you should always go to class b/c he gives pop quizes and extra credit when he see's no one there or people leaving. You should read, but just get an idea of what each chapter is about (only if you know some stuff about comps already).
Good teacher. Take small class if available. Talk to him and he'll help you out. Not that bad of a class. Read along with lessons and study a lot, but dont stress. Tests are pretty detailed but final is easier. Suck it up and put in the work. It's useful information and you have to know it. Husband better teacher than wife. Take class w/ a friend.
I hated this class. Computers was not a bad subject until he makes you memorize all the crazy terms and functions. His exams are ridiculous. even if you get perfect on all the assignments doesnt mean you will even pass the exams. never reviews
An interesting class, but difficult. The homework, for the most part was easy but the tests were very difficult. The tests were all multiple-choice, but the questions were so difficult it really didnt help at all. Take advantage of all extra credit opportunities and ALWAYS show up the day after the test.
hard class, but he is very clear in lecture, and puts the powerpoints online, you just need to study! he's such a nice guy and very helpful! i definitly recommend him
Really hard class. Its really nice of him to give you a study guide for the test the only problem is that nothing on the study guide is actually on the test. Hard tests. Ridiculous information
Easy homework but the tests were somewhat tough. Read the power points and the book and you should be able to pass.
there are no really good teachers for this class but he is the best
It is an alright class, homework is really easy but the exams are hard, not clear what to study for, terms on review guide not really helpful, if you study hard you will do fine, not a bad class.
This class sucks. A lot of computer info to know. Tests are hard and teacher is boring. Very hard to stay awake.
Review terms he gives out never in the Exam . Why bother! Helpful Yes. Clear NO. Extra credit Yes generous. Hard exams.
This class is retarded, i never studied left class 10 mins into it every day and still got a 86% with out taking the final. I retured to book cause its like 120 bucks and you dont need it. and if you do you can get it from the reserve book room.
Fair teacher, Tests are very hard. Some extra credit opportunities. 4 tests only counts 3. you can get a lot of useful info if you watch him do the assignments in class.
Good Teacher. Hw is fairly easy. Take notes when he goes over how to do hw in class. E.C. oppurtunities. Class not too demanding. Tests aren't that difficult if you study. Sometimes he will give review terms. Know those and read the powerpoint slides he puts online and u should be ok. 4 tests, but he only counts best 3. Followed schedule. Passable
Easy class. For the people who know a decent amount about computers, you can just skim through the chapters. ALOT of assignments but they aren't hard, just go to class because he basically shows you how to do them. Get to drop lowest test score which makes the final optional. Go to class because there may be EC. Easy B and fairly easy A!
initially u think its an easy class..but the first test i did horrible and so did a lot of others..2nd was good..3rd ok..but u wonder why the tests dont match the assignments..I passed the class w/ a C.Not thrilled..but im glad im done w/ that boring class. The only time it was enjoyable were when he had people come in and try to sell us things:)
I liked this class because I did not have to take the final. I got a C, but I was OK with that. He was really helpful and replied to e-mails within 15 minutes. No joke! The only thing that was not fair was that he said you could drop 1 HW grade, but he actually added an extra HW assignment. Overall, class was OK, but it is important to go to class.
Not a very difficult class but you must try read the book it really helps. Alot of tricky excell and acsess questions. Very helpful Always replys to e-mails if you try you can get an A. Just keep up on readings
BORING, boring, boring! You think it's common sense but then he trows all these tricky questions at you. If you're not a computer person, it's really not that easy. It seems like time in that class stops. Not fun. Plus he's pretty rude.
the most boring class ever!
Lectures are pretty boring. Read the text thoroughly and know all the terms and how to apply them and you will do fine on the tests. Lectures help with the access and excel parts but any other part of the class is well-learned through reading the text.
ridiculous class. i could have taught it better myself. He made really simple concepts confusing.
How did this teacher get a job at SDSU. He cant teach for his life. Most boring class ever and his tone is very ear piercing. He shows you how to do the assignments. Tests are freaking rediculous. Its really hard to study because he doesnt lead you in the right direction for the tests. Take another professor, definitely.
Nice guy, but not a very good lecturer. Go to class because he gives random C/NC quizzes that really help your grade. His lectures are incredibly boring, just read the text and know the key terms he gives.
Great guy, is interested and knowledgeable in his field.. but unfortunatly lectures are very boring. Gives study guides, final is optional. Study guides help greatly on test. He gives extra credit for in class quizes and a home work make up assignment. Very good and some what easy class to take.
Excited about subject matter & getting his students to realize that IDS can be applied to real life, however, not good at teaching. 4 tests including final, drops lowest, extra credit if you attend classes, many assignments that help you learn material. If you have trouble, he is more than willing to help. Good luck, class is unfortunately boring.
Interesting material, hmwk assignments can be tricky but he's willing to help. Tests are rough, final is optional if you take all 3 mid-terms. Lectures are rough but worth going to until you understand his teaching methods. Sometimes gives out random extra credit points in class...those help your grade ALOT!
He's a really nice guy.My BIGGEST suggestion:visit his office every week & find a way to apply it.He'll remember your name and help you on assignments.Go to class(quizes/extra credit YOU WILL NEED) & watch the movies, no matter how boring they are:they'll be on your test.Trick questions on tests so watch wording.GET physical BOOK.I learned alot.
Extremely boring. Definitely in your best interests to show up to every class because he will randomly give extra credit that helps a lot. If you do well enough on your first 3 exams you wil not have to take a final. There are about 10 homework assignments that can take a lot of time unless you are good with computer programs.
Easton is a funny guy! Class is boring and lectures were never exciting. Read the book and go over key terms before test. He gives out a study guide that has about 80% of test material on it. Trick questions on tests, must pay attention to his examples of excel and access! Final is optional.
Great teacher. Really helpful if you go to his office and always willing to answer questions by email. Study the book before tests and you will do fine and his assignments are pretty easy.
IDS sucks. He was an okay teacher. Going to class helped a lot because he would literally walk you through every homework assignment. If you go to office hours, he's helpful, but the class is really hard and the tests suck.
You have to go to class because he'll have random extra credits, which help. Assignments are really easy..You do have to study for tests they're a little tricky. Overall he's not as bad a people say...just go to class.
Terrible teacher, the worst i have had at state. He is not helpful at all and he gives ridiculus assignments and tests and he doesn't understand the material himself.
IDS is a boring class but its not his fault. It's really boring but hes a good teacher but its a hard to learn subject. go to class he gives extra credit. study hard for the tests. i recommend him over the woman Easton.
Do not take at STATE...i WISH i took is at a 2 year college. read read read READ is all I can say. Most majors need at LEAST a C, I met so many people taking it over just to make that cut-off. I am STILL waiting for my grade. I hope I got a C. If not, Ill be taking it over. Tests are retarded, powerpoints dont help...i hate computers now...blah
Mr. Easton is somewhere between Mr. Rodgers and Gary Shandler. The homework problems are pretty easy, as long as you read the exercise book. This guy tries to be funny, but ends up failing miserably. I did like the way he uses a grade estimator to let all of the students see their grade as well as everyone else’s. The test's have allot of tricks!
easton is terrible. dont take this class at state.Tests are ridiculously hard, assignments take up too much time. lectures are extremely boring. Pretty much the only way to do good in this class is read, read, read or if you understand computers very well.
The way he teaches is confusing and unless you go speak to him in his office hours, you will do horribly in the class. His classes always fail his tests. dumb subject but i guess its not his fault
The WORST teacher I have had at state so far (I am currently a Junior). He is NOT understanding, loves to ruin students'lives, has NO heart, and is out to give C's, C minuses, and D's. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE! The HW assignments are vague, he does not let you work withother students- if you do he will turn your assignment over to Judicial Review at SDSU
Concepts are a bit hard to understand, easiest thing about the class were the assignments but can sometimes take forever to do. If you read the text and study you should be fine. 4 tests and drops lowest score. The final for me was surprisingly the easiest. If you're not confident maybe take this course over summer at community college.
I know a lot about computers and this guy seems like an idiot who maybe knew his stuff 10 years ago. Very little talk about IDS systems in the class. A lot of memorization of random crap that won't ever be useful is required to ace the tests..try another teacher is my advice. Sorry Business students you have to take this useless class.
THis is the worst teacher I have ever had. What a complete idiot, take Tyler he is amazing, and if you want to pass go to his office ours, that is the trick.
This class really needs to be taught in a computer lab, not a lecture hall. His lectures literally put me to sleep and he's hard to follow when you're awake. Spent a lot of time trying to figure out computer functions that should not be hard. tests are confusing. Go to his office hours before each test. A really nice guy, just a horrible teacher.
Horrible teacher. He doesn't know what he's talking about and is very unclear. He only has 9 fingers too!
Worst teacher EVER! He thinks the assignments are easy but they are not.. they take for ever. When you go to office hours he first makes you feel like a complete idiot than answers your question in a weird way, he noticed when you were only 5 mins late. Trust me YOUR better off with another teacher!
This guy is a terrible, boring, useless teacher. The tests are confusing and the assignments are just about impossible. He tries to make his students feel stupid when he doesn't seem to know the material that well himself. Do not take this his class!
This guy and this class is a joke. He can't teach if his life depended on it. Assignments take forever to do and are hard. Tests are just as hard.
This guy is not as bad as people say he is. He practically does the assignments in class so take your laptop to class and assignments will become much easier. He does offer help in office hours. 3 midterms, optional final, EC assignment and EC points sometimes at the end of class.
BORING!!! tests are hard, what he teaches doesnt help and doesnt make sense..assignments arent bad their pretty easy if you pay attention thats the only thing hes good at teaching...
If you are a fan of sleeping in class, Prof. Easton would be happy to assist you. He is the most boring teacher I have ever had and he is FULL of himself. He makes an already hard class that much harder. His homework is time consuming and sometimes hard to follow. Try to avoid Prof. Easton at all costs!
His class is extremely difficult. I spent endless hours in the library doing 5-10 point assignments. His test are impossible unless you go through all his powerpoint and the boo with a fine tooth comb. And he makes you know pointless stuff. NOT RECOMMENDED
Good ol' Jorge...When I did go to class and wasn't napping, I was most definitely space cruising. But his class is pretty basic. His gives you word for word instructions for the hmwk. His tests are directly from the online powerpoint and the books. Just grit your teeth and get through it!
To start off, I am a Soc major and have no interest in information systems whatsoever. I would recommend attending class because he does in class assignments and quizzes occasionally. These helped me a lot. I had a border line C/C-, and you need a C to get credit. He gave me the C since I attended class (mostly). It is boring..bring an activity2 do
I recommend going to class, i was definitely not a fan of him at all. Not interesting or enjoyable whatsoever. His tests are crazy hard and homework takes hours. I would definitely advise you to go with another professor if possible.
first of all, he's a reasonable guy if you talk to him. the material is pretty "complicated" but is not really hard. you ABSOLUTELY need to have a MORE than basic english to understand the test question exactly what he wants to ask! I manage to get an A this semester. but out of 7 class i'm taking this semester. this one takes up most of my times.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!! some homwork is unachievable by yourself! rigid old guy. AVOID!!!
He is one of the best professors I have ever had! He is very available and helpful... Go to class, go to his office hours if needed, read the Easton material and you will do GREAT! Its not hard material, i do not understand how ppl can get below a C. He is extremely nice and intelligent.
WORST teacher at SDSU period. He acts like he's arguing when he lectures. His tests are ridiculous. I have a 3.8 GPA and take my classes seriously. This teacher does NOT have his**** together. He helps you out if you go to his office, but thats about it. The overall average score for the tests were in the lower 60%s, that tells you something.
hard hard hard. go to office hours if you are falling behind. study a lot! the tests are hard and hard to study for. the assignments are time consuming and very confusing! dont take if looking for an easy class or an a!
easy class if you go to class. he gives a lot of extra credit but you have to be in class to get it. the homework is easy but the tests are sooo confusing and hard. i failed almost all of the tests (4/5) and he lets you drop your lowest test. if you fail any test make sure you go to his office hours. he does NOT give incompletes so dont fail
Mr. Easton is very funny, though many do not get his subtle humor. The class is easy as long as you attend or study the slides and do the assignments - easy A.
I do not understand why people do not like his class. I found him to be to fair and clear. His lectures are boring, but he gives you assignments with step by step directions how to do things. I do not get why people do not get 10s on every homework, when it is written out right in front of you. It was an okay class.
TAKE HIM DURING THE SUMMER!!! the smaller class setting motivates him to give more extra credit and he even accepted late assignment the whole summer term. He was very helpful and his subtle humor was hilarious. 5 tests, counts the best 4 scores.
He is a horrible teacher! Do NOT take his class. I would e-mail him with questions because I had another class during his office hours and he barely ever responded. The lectures are boring. And the tests consists of very, very minor details from the book. WORST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD!!
Great Professor and he is extremely helpful if you ever have any questions. Go to his office hours before the tests-it helps a lot! All you have to do is attend the class and do the readings in order to get a good grade. Not sure why so many students hate this class, I got a lot out of it.
1st - his tests are always based on the tiniest and most useless detail in the book. 2nd homework must be submitted within first minute of class otherwise its UNACCEPTABLE. 3rd - boring boring boring boring boring. literally worst class/teacher i have ever had to take.
Hardest class, very strict and worst teacher I ever had. Honestly, I even had nightmares of this class due to all the stress I faced. Had to drop it.
He thinks he did something so amazing by writing his own textbook, but it is so hard to read andthe most boring thing ever. Also he can't explain anything properly, the class kept correcting him because he can't keep his cell numbers straight in excel. This class is painful. Make sure you come to class cause there are quizes!
Worst decision I ever made to not drop the class within the first week. I was going to declare the subject my major but the class made me question how anyone could devote their lives to this. Tests are TERRIBLY difficult, short lectures feel like 240s, Extremely strict policies... add these together and you have a 50% fail rate, ya, seriously, 50%.
Easton SUCKS! this guy is the WORST teacher at sdsu. hard class, unfair teacher, idiot. Does not respond to emails. hates his students. awful, horrible, filthy. just stay away.
bad, bad, bad! ok so his tests are just awful. his homework is the most confusing thing ever and its not even worth much. he sucks at teaching. i can't believe i wasted so much time out of my precious life for this CRAP. don't take!!
Not as bad as his reputation is. It does take work, but its possible. GO TO HIS OFFICE and he'll know you by name. So helpful, just have to take the initiative. For tests, just study vocab and know what youre doing in Excel, etc.
Good Ol' George! Wonderful :) I love his class, so exciting and intriguing.
Best Teacher at State! Love this guy! So helpful go to his office hours YAY :)
Good teacher~easy class. Study and you will get an A :)
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. i want to be an ids major now..
wanna be cool? take this class. all the cool kids do.
i enjoyed this class. not too bad.
Not as bad as everyone says. Not easy, but if you go to class and don't fall asleep every time, you can do just fine without A+ Review. I didn't go to A+ review, didn't study all that much or do the readings, and dont even have to take the final and am still coming out with a solid B. Goes over EVERY HW assignment in class before it's due. Quality.
Good man, good intentions. Goes too much in-depth, basically spoon feeding the class on how to do the assignments. The instructions are exact to the point, so if you follow the instructions, it's an easy A. The lectures are long and boring. Read the book for the exams and study the assignments and you're golden.
Pay attention to lectures, keep up on the reading and attend class, he drops your lowest test score and offers extra credit quizzes if you attend class, the subject isn't easy which why it's so important to do the assignments and study the readings.
BEST TEACHER AT STATE!! Made me want to declare IDS my major. Assignments with crystal clear instructions and he's soo helpful during office hours. Go to office hours! You can tell he really cares about his students. If you have an older version book then the assignment pg #s will be a little off and you'll need to search around in the book.
You should really just read the textbook to remember vocab. must do the assignments to understand the questions on the test. Class isn't really necessary if you do read. As a teacher he tries but the topic is just boring. Need to buy the book, and just follow his directions for the hw.
I went to his office hours for the first assignment, he got mad at me and made me feel like an idiot. I found out he let his other class take the tests twice and when I confronted him about it, he got pissed and I told him off. And finally, I found a lot of mistakes in his instructions idk what you guys are talking about. This guy sucks
dont take this class unless you have to. lectures are ridiculously boring. the tests are extremely hard, he tests you on random facts and things that are not important or relevant at all. very hard class, aplus is key to passing.
Dont let the first day of class scare you away. Quizzes are often just for extra credit and are never more than 7 points. Assignment directions are concise and explain exactly how to do everything. Read the book and make flashcards from the bold terms and you will be fine. Let's you drop one test score (final included)
EASTON IS THE MAN. Wow, the best professor I've ever had at state. I love that guy, highly recommended to anyone who wants to be inspired!
Easton really has the best intentions. If you fall behind he will gladly help you through anything at his office hours. Tests are hard, so make sure you understand the material. Assignments really help you learn and are very clear.
This professor's got swag! Man, the chillest, friendliest, happiest guy you will ever meet. Cares for his students so much. And exams, well they are SUPER EASY. Attendance not mandatory. This class is virtually a free A with no work. TAKE GEORGE!
Worst class I've taken in a while. Professor takes exessive amount of time revisiting old material and explaining simple things. This wouldn't be bad if it was relevant to the tests. But 25% of each test covers minor facts that are only neccessary if your on jeopardy. The study guides aren't worth the paper their printed on.
He is a very easy going teacher, explains every assignment step by step, covers the material well in class, is approachable and easy to get ahold of outside of class. Plenty of extra credit, exams are cake, assignments are easy. And just to put a cherry on top, the textbook for this class is less than $50. In all, my easiest class yet at State.
I had the once a week 3 hour class, so it was very difficult to go to class. BUT, going is a must. He gives extra credit almost every class which was the difference in me getting an A an a B. Tests are easy if you go over ALL vocab in ALL assigned chapters
Look this subject isn't for everyone but if you are into learning more about practical business applications and some basic web site skills this guys great! For everyone else, well sorry you were forced to take this class haha.
This was a very practical class, and it isn't particularly difficult. You absolutely need to buy the textbook. In class he's a little confusing, but always willing to answer questions and help out with homework assignments. Usually replies to emails and posts grades quickly.
He is a cool guy, the material is dry though
Great professor and knows his stuff. But tends to give Long lectures. Sometimes they're interesting and sometimes they're not. I wasn't really into MIS so I admit that I dosed off a bit, but don't let him catch you. Read the book & study! Exam ?'s are sometimes from lectures and his textbook which he also wrote. Pay attention and go to office hours
The lectures are boring and tests are hard
The most horrible class that I have taken so far at SDSU. The tests are tough and the professor does not really teach. You'll have to study on your own by reading the textbook (written by the professor). Plus he does not provide any study guide eve though we have requested one. His office hour is very inefficient, people are always waiting in line.
Can be a tough class if you do not review the textbook after he gives his lectures. Goes over the homework assignments in class and sometimes gives extra credit. Office hours were helpful, would recommend him
He was pretty nice and the tests were fairly easy as long as you studied. I noticed a lot of people not coming to class but if you go, he gives pop quizzes for extra credit sometimes.
