Class is very difficult. Tests are very detailed. As long as you take good notes and make it to every class you will do fine. But you must attend EVERY class.

he is a good teacher but his tests are very hard! he gives quizes every week in adittion to midterm and final, which includes multiple choise 50Q & a lot of essey questions. I would not recomend him unless you have nothing better to do but study hard for his class and I mean study!

I took professor froest last semester,and let me tell you,he's very knowledgable ,and smart. However at the same time,the amount of work,and tests we had to take was unbelievable. 4 Tests,plus 2 home exams,which are freaking difficult. So getting a good grade at his class,is very hard. on his tests he gives 20 mintues on the watch to finish,unfair!

Prof. Frost is one of the smartest and funniest teachers there is. He makes the subject of economics actually intersting and he definitely knows his stuff. His classes are very hard though and if you're looking to get a good grade then be prepared to put in a lot of work. He also involves his students in his lectures and uses great examples.

Do not take his class if you are but a Bosox fan. Take it because you want to learn economics. He a very good teacher but YOU must re-write all your notes, understand the notes, and ask questions. It helps if you read the book too.

Prof. Frost almost killed me with his take home exams (my fingers were bruised from typing so much) and gives many, many notes. But even though it's a ton of work, he is such a great teacher it's like you want to work so that you won't let him down. Yes he cares for and involves his students. A true teacher. i took this class at 8 am , it is not so easy, he gives alot of tests, and the mid and final are way too long. however, the guy is good, very clear, you can have a good time. he would wake you up, also, he gives weird examples, and do not talk about the yakees. i recomend his class.

He's absolutely one of the best professors out there. I totally thought that this class was going to be a snoozefest but surprisingly, his way of teach keeps you engaged! His tests aren't easy nor is some of his HW but he really puts himself out there to make you understand the topic! If your gonna take economics make sure you get him!

He is a real good guy and does a good job teaching. Just don't take his class unless you plan on working hard. If you miss one class you will be lost. He gives HW every week and the material is TOUGH. I am a good student, I have about a 3.5 gpa and his class is the toughest I have had at NCC. Don't take him if you want a walk in the park.

Went to a review class and Prof Frost was the professor. He explained everything so much better than the teacher I had for Micro! He explained everything with "kid examples," while being enthusiastic! Its very hard to find a teacher that doesnt make you fall asleep! If I had to take an economics course, I would make sure he is the professor!

He is one of the greatest professors at nassau.The class is hard but he makes sure you understand it with weird and funny examples. Suprisingly its not boring at all. But you must stay on the work or you will surely be lost. Attendance is a must. There are tons of notes. But they help A LOT.I would reccomend him to those who actually want to learn

pretty good professor, interests students quite easily pluss has quite a few great jokes, i was laughting till tears lmao tho his tests are quite hard, but if ull listen in class, which is basically ipossible to avoid, you should be able to do quite well, doesnt give any extra credit tho.

Best teacher I have had in my life bar none. He is a challenging professor, his tests are difficult his lectures are content dense. On the other hand he is super engaging and almost impossible to tune out during these lectures. He is very clear in his teaching and always willing to explain confusing concepts. Even further he goes out of his way to help those who need it and are willing to do the work. You will be lucky to have him as a professor he truly is the best.

A clearly intelligent man with a very interesting / effective style of teaching. His course is not easy by any standard, but you will leave it with a fairly in depth understanding of the subject even if your grade is not necessarily to your satisfaction. Pay attention in class and frequently study small amounts at one time and you should be fine.

I'm an A student and this class is going to hurt my gpa. I would recommend him if you are actually interested in eco but be prepared to work hard and receive a C.

Very helpful, i learned more in his class last semester then i did all year, he covers alot of matrail in one lecture but he explains it so well, and he finds this "relationship" between the material he is teaching and his students. his class is not an easy A, i got a B in his class and i was really satisfaied...do not buy the text book.

This professor does not mess around. Attendance is a must, because your notes are all you will be studying from. The in class experience was fantastic, better than any other class I have ever had, but the tests and quizzes are HARD. REALLY hard. Studying is a must. However, I am so happy I took this class, and I have no regrets. :)

Great Professor! You'll learn a lot from him. He teaches quickly so you should review after each class. The quizzes are difficult, but the exams are a little bit easier. Homework is mandatory to get a good grade. The homework consists of about 60 MC questions through the MyEconLab site, and it is assigned about once a week. must work to earn an A.

Like previous posters said, he makes his class so engaging and is always trying to ensure his students truly know the material. I've never seen someone so into their job. Tough, but fair (read test questions slowly). A really nice guy.

i had frost for micro and it definitely is a tough subject to learn, but he had great examples in explaining the principles and ideas of the subject. he tells great jokes and incorporates them into the class and has great stories too. if you are a business or econ or that type of major, he's a great teacher, just don't miss class

ok, Great professor, but hes so pushy in having you understand the full extent of economics he makes it harder. you have to memorize so much extra things that other professors don't required that you become overworked. hes funny but he has extremely hard grading for exams which can cause you to fail easily. i wouldn't take him again.

I went to NCC in 2006 and didn't know what I wanted to do or be. I took Mr. Frost's econ class and was inspired by him to pursue a BA in Economics. After NCC I went to UA and realized that Eco was the right choice for me. Now I used my degree to get a job as a Medical Researcher. Thanks Professor Frost, you the man!

Prof Frost is the best professor I have had at NCC. He is funny, enthusiastic, and teaches in a way that keeps his students engaged. Frost is hard, it is true, but you're not in college to skate. This was the hardest class I have taken but it is also very meangingful since economics happens EVERY DAY. He will help you. Don't be late or get up during class it is RUDE! being there is half the battle. If you want to pass you have to study.

I took him in the Fall for Principles of Microeconomics and he's HILARIOUS. He's very sarcastic and fun and he gets the class involved. Frost's method of teaching is fun, but sometimes confusing because he has this thing he does where he'll teach you the wrong thing purposely to see if you catch on and call him out on it; BUT, teaches very well.

Best professor. Explains everything in the simplest way possible Very funny guy. Interesting lectures. Tests are hard because the subject in itself is hard. Focus and follow in class study notes and you will pass. Don't stress on the test read and understand carefully.

Professor Frost runs the kind of class where you can't skip a day. His course is for serious students, and he makes attending the class interesting and fun. I rented the older version of the text book for $23 and didn't end up using it. Do the homeworks on aplia, study weekly, ask questions and show up. And don't enroll if you can't take a joke.

Ill keep it short , He's a really funny guy but he's a tough grader and 90% of your grade in the class is made from tests. Each test is harder and worth more. BUT if you are respectful of his rules, participate a lot, you will get a better grade than you were expecting. I was expecting a MAX of a C, but I ended up getting a B which is awesome.

Frost is one of the best teachers I've had. He knows economics inside and out and somehow he makes it interesting. His lectures should be bottled and sold. This is one class where I never check the time because he keeps you interested and amused until its over. Only grades are four tests and some online homework. He's a fair grader.

BEST PROFESSOR AT NASSAU!!! Took Frost for both Micro and Macro, and had I more time at Nassau before transferring, I would have attempted to take every other class of his as well. As he recommends: typing up all of your notes at the end of the week, HELPS! Show up on time to every class, do the hw, review your typed notes, and you'll be fine.

He did his best to make the subject interesting, but that meant diverting from the topic to occasionally make jokes. He is pretty funny, and illustrated the concepts well. Best professor I ever had. The tests were fair, not as hard as some of these comments say. He suggests you study 5 hours a week. I didnt and still got an A. I did all the homework assignments which were online and given a week to do. Just take notes and pay attention in class and participate. He is the funniest guy i've ever met.

Professor Frost served as an inspiration to me. He is accessible outside of the classroom, and is knowledgable of the material. His use of stories help connect all students to the material. You get the grade you deserve. Overall, I had an excellent experience!

I had him for micro honors. It was a HARD class (and I have a 4.0). Lots of homework, and its crucial to be in attendance for class because before each exam you have to turn in notes. He's passionate and hilarious - he engages students. You HAVE to study but I promise you will learn something. If you can't work hard, don't even bother.

This guy is probably my favorite professor that I've ever had. I took both Honors Micro and Macroeconomics with him and, although they were tough classes, his lectures were amazing and I always looked forward to it. Professor Frost is the man and definitely my favorite professor I took at NCC. This however no means an easy A you have to work for your grade. My average after my first two exams were a D+, but he I aced the final and counted that for my final grade, great guy take him!

I have had the opportunity to have him for both micro and macro economics. I enjoyed his lectures however if you miss a class your screwed because his tests come directly from the examples/notes given in class The tests are very hard with 50 MC w/similar choices so you need to know your stuff in and out. As an English as a Second Language student, I can say that Prof. Frost was the best professor I've ever had! Every lecture was interesting and Important for life. All of his exams based EXACTLY on the notes you have written throughout the classes. If you're willing to work hard and put an effort into your studies you should definitely take him!

Professor Frost is absolutely the best professor ever. He provides enough examples to help you learn. All of the Lectures are on blackboard and he uses zoom for any questions and answers. Hes extremely funny and he tells stories about past experiences. He is not an Easy A, if your looking for that avoid this class. 10/10 would recommend.

Honestly the best professor ever. I never really knew anything about economics but now he opened up my mind about the way society works. Homework is once a month but its a lot of questions. If youre wiling to learn you have to take him. Hes willing to help his students and hes really funny. Not an Easy A tho. Would take again.

Prof frost is a real gem. don't be afraid of doing some extra work for this class, bc prof frost makes you work for your grade. you will never zone out in his class, the way he explains the topics is outstanding. NCC is lucky to have a prof like him. study MC for these tests, do some practice, go over notes and you'll be fine.

Whether if you major in Economics or not, you will come out as a better thinker from learning from Frost. He does not teach you what to think, but rather how to think - which is heavily reflected on his tests which makes them challenging. I thoroughly enjoyed the intellectual discussions. He is just simply the toughest professor I have ever taken he gives a tumultuous amount of homework and lectures though they are funny but very hard to follow. He is a nice funny guy but his tests are HARD I dont recommend this class if your not serious about studying because his tests are crazy and the tests are most of your grade.

HARD CLASS NOT AN EASY A requires work! Keep up with lecture videos and you'll do fine, homework assignment are long but easy if you watch videos you have a week sometimes even 2 to do 100 MC. Open book exams and NOTES ARE MANDATORY in order to pass. Overall great professor wish I also took him for ECO 207!

Professor Frost is one of the best Professors i have ever had. He often tells stories to add humor to his lectures and he is a very knowledgeable guy. He always gives real-world examples in his lectures to help broaden our understanding. The homework is plentiful at times but they help. A little moody at times but we still love him. 9/10 professor.

Has GOAT status similar to that of MJ, Kobe, and Lebron. Frost is closer to MJ than he is Lebron or Kobe. Great professor, intuitive, thought-provoking and teaches economics in the most interesting way possible. If you do the work, take good notes on the lecture videos, and come to class, it is a well-earned A. Took both honors Micro and Macro.

Had Prof. Frost back in 2019, so can't speak much about how class works now, but he's responsible for my interest in Economics and my eventual bachelor's degree in the field. Took Micro and Macro with him, and he made it so simple and understandable. Albeit not an easy class, if you pay attention, take notes, and don't miss class, you'll be fine.

Professor Frost was a nice guy that is passionate about what he does. Lecture heavy and he grades your notes. His tests are hard, so this is not an easy A.

Frost is a great teacher and turns a very difficult subject into a pretty straightforward. He does require a bunch of extra studying and HW so it's not an easy A, but if you want to come out of the class actually understanding ECON, I would recommend him.

Great professor. Assigns videos of his lectures and requires notes. Then reviews the material in class. Tough understanding of his exams but otherwise, funny and makes the material easy to learn. He tries to get you riled up for economics, as you are his students, and is his right. He mentions it, but he's funny in that way. You'll enjoy his class.

Good professor, gives hard test but if you take good notes on his lecture videos you will be fine.

Professor frost is a great professor. You have to watch his lecture videos and you come to class and review. Watch the videos, ask questions and you will do well, if you dont you wont.His exams are tough because they require you to know the material inside and out. Exams are out of 105 or 110, meaning there are extra questions to boost your grade.

Professor Frost can be great and also frustrating. There is an extreme amount of work that is required, and the tests are extremely difficult. The tests are difficult and can be written in confusing/convoluted ways. He does a very good job teaching material and is willing to help. By far the hardest class I have ever taken, and I have a 4.0.

I really liked Prof. Frost. You watch his videos then we discuss the topics in the next class. He's funny (lots of stories) and energetic. Here's the secret to a good grade: watch the videos then TAKE GOOD NOTES and you will do fine. Lots of review. My test scores weren't perfect but my notes and participation bumped me up!

Amazing professor, took him for macroeconomics and microeconomics. Definitely a hard class, but you will do well if you actually take notes and pay attention, you also have the lecture videos, so you can study the material. I loved economics because of this professor!

Professor Frost makes economics fun with his energetic teaching style and stories. The class requires diligent note-taking and preparation, but unstuck ai can be a helpful study tool. Tests are challenging but manageable with dedication.

Professor Frost is hilarious. He is very kind and attentive towards his students. Lectures and Videos on Notes is how his class works. You will take notes on his online lectures then come into class to practice the notes and get further clarification. Make sure to take excellent notes. Tests are a little hard but open notes. Awesome guy.

Prof Frost is a very great professor. The only downside is that he does weekly lectures and requires handwritten notes that must be submitted prior to exams. And the workload was a little OD, however I have realized compared to other professors I prefer him. He does weekly attendance as well. I would take his class again.

First time having a professor with his teaching style, but i loved it! He makes sure you understand what he teaches, because the material isnt the easiest. Overall easy going professor, definitely recommend! Also no electronics allowed in class, bring a notebook!

Frosty is a funny man. A good class makes it pretty simple; you do have to watch a lot of lecture videos. I say he's a little too political for my liking, but I guess he doesn't hide anything from us, which is nice. I actually enjoyed economics, so I think that was partly bc he made the class enjoyable. I would take him again

I do definitely recommend professor Frost because of the way he teaches like eco its hard but if you watch his videos and participate in class you will be fine. you need to watch lecture videos before class for you to have an idea of what is for next class which I found it really helpful. His Exam are kind of hard with not enough time.

Hard class, but if you like logic then you will like macroeconomics. Funny guy. The class/syllabus is intimidating, but it was the second or third class in three semesters at NCC that felt like a true immersive college course. I worked for an A, and you should too. Just apply yourself and try your best not to be a jets fan. He makes ECO less boring

Professor Frost is a gem at NCC, and he is hands down the best professor I've had here. I took both his macro and micro and thoroughly enjoyed each course. He makes economics interesting and engaging through both his teaching style and the energy he brings. His exams can be challenging, but the overall grading rubric is designed extremely fair.

He is just excellent. Even when the material is difficult, he makes it easy to understand. He's also very funny, and the energy he brings is just super cool. Just make sure to do the note assignments and watch the videos. My favorite professor!

Fantastic professor, I took both macro and micro with him. Loved it. I transferred out of Nassau to Baruch and have a better understanding of both macro and microeconomics than most of the students here because of Frost. I also have developed a huge passion for Economics, as I found his lectures incredibly interesting.

i really liked him hes so funny and is always telling stories connecting to the lectures, however you are only graded on tests and notes which sucks i was super sick once and forgot about a test and since there is no makeups i got a 0 on it which made my grade go so down, he does cancel classes on test days which is nice

He uses stories/ "his experiences" he's had with other students to relate it to the lectures. This also makes the lectures a lot more interesting. Participation matters! You get points & class is cancelled on test days. You usually get a week to choose when you want to take the test. No phones during class - you get points taken off.

I entered the class knowing nothing about economics and left with a new appreciation for it. He assigns weekly videos that require note taking, which can be time consuming, but I found them helpful for preparing before class. The 3 exams are challenging, but he is always willing to help explain concepts to students during lecture. “Clear on this?”

Great teacher and fun class however, you have to do the lecture videos properly and on time. It can be a little time consuming and overwhelming if you tend to procrastinate. Overall tho the videos help you tremendously and I would definitely recommend his class.

Definitely a great professor with a mind for facilitating success. Mandatory notes HW is painful, but graded on completion. Kind and helpful. Definitely oriented a difficult topic (econ) in a way that the average college student could understand. Pretty rigorous, if that's not your thing, I wouldn't recommend.
