Mr. Greenlee knows his subject matter and can communicate it very well, however, Mr. Greenlee needs to take a long vacation. He is very close to burnout.

Said I was a "****poor" student and I would never do anything. I ended up graduating from a real university with 2 degrees. Hey Mr. Greenlee you are #1 on my worst teacher list. Keep teaching JR. college economics loser.
He really knows his subject. May be he knows it to well. He teaches above the students who take the course. He teaches like its a Graduate course. Some students just need the one course and they may never take another econ. course again.
This was absolutely the worst teacher I have taken in my life. If you gave the wrong answer to his questions, he would make you feel stupid. I think he enjoyed failing students.
Absolutely the worst teacher! My advice take someone else for economics!
easy to understand
Prof. Greenlee challenges you to think. He knows his subject matter and is very helpful for those who want to learn. He teaches the course as a college course. I feel prepared for other economics courses. If you want to learn, I recommend him.
Even though I did well,I think the tests were hard.Read questions carefully and look at details,Material is interesting, and he is very good at explaining and clarifying the material. Papers aren't real hard, and he seems to grade them fairly easy.
Is nice and grades fairly. He explains everything and tells what he will ask on tests. If you follow him in class, study, and review then you will do well. Fair amount of memorization required. Will help you as much as you need. EASY. Would recommend. A+
This man needs to learn to speak to different races of people like human beings. He has the tendency to humilate and fail people for fun including degrading women because his took off on him. We adults come to school to learn not to be cornered like animals, SPC college shouldn't let him teach there
This has to be the worst teacher I have ever taken in my life. To this day I still have awful memories by this experience. I have never taken tests so hard in my life. He was rude. He became inpatient when you didn't understand a topic. My advice, take it online with someone else.
This person should not allowed to teach anything. This person has to be the biggest a**hole on the planet.
This teacher sucked!
It's not that he is a bad teacher, its just really hard to grasp this stuff. He does his best to explain everything, but his test questions always have more than one answer and you have to use ur judgment. He always says he will help you if you see him in his office. Guess my 70 could have used him

Prof. Greenlee is an instructor that knows his material and simply expects his students to. He is willing to help those who need help, but you have to ask. If you're more interested in geting an education than a mere grade then he's the man. He' a college professor that expects college work.
He's an okay teacher but the way he talks to people sucks. He makes a person not want to take his class or quit if your having trouble. He will make you embarassed and won't think that he has said anything wrong.
Mr. Greenlee came highly recommended and I thought he was a great teacher. He used good examples to clarify otherwise difficult topics. He expects you to work hard and learn, but isn't that why we're in college? Also, I am a woman and I did not feel the least bit degraded. He was fair to everyone.
He is totally inconsiderate and insensitive, makes you feel like a fool. Tests are nothing like his lectures. Pretty difficult class.
Vey fair teacher. Does not award the typical half-assed SPC student. If you're a good student with a clue that values a good education you'll take him twice.
Hard teacher but very good at know his stuff, like a real college class even...take him
The person that wrote the previous comments is on drugs. The was the worst teacher I have ever taken.
If you like getting D's and F's then don't take this teacher. Horrible teacher!!!!
If you are not a business major don’t waste your time in this class, the class is entirely lectures and note taking every class whole class. Hardest college test at SPC intentionally made difficult I think he likes the economic benefit of failing students in hopes of them reenrolling in the class the fallowing semester.
Very hard teacher but gives students every oppurtunity to get help from him. He's not very good with sensitive students because he can be abrupt but he actually does like for students to ask questions. For folks who think his test are purposefully hard, I had college level Economics in high school and the tests are very similar. Econ standard.
Great professor. Very respectful.
Mostly a Math class, the economics part is common sense. Though it would be fun, NOT. Lectures are good, tests difficult, papers impossible due to unclear objectives and baseless deductions. If you want to work hard for a bad grade take this class. Actually just avoid this class or at least this instructor.
thsi teacher is out of his mind!!! i had nightmares the night b4 the test.. if u have no life and ur life revolves around economics.. take this teacher.... I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS TEACHER!
He doesn't lecture from the book, but is very thorough and always asks everyone if we fully understand everything. Microeconomics is hard, but he explains it well. If you pay attention and take notes you'll do fine. I got an A. Greenlee is firm, but fair. He prepares you for the real world (and the business world) by emphasizing critical thinking.
Avoid! Harder than has to be.

The worst teacher ever!!! Do not take the class. Seriously! The class average has been D & F. If everyone in the class is doing poorly it can't be just the students fault! He should do everyone a favor and stop teaching!
Prof. Greenlee is a very good teacher. He expects students to read the material, do the homework and assignments on time and be prepared. He expects college students to act like adults not high school babies. Could he be more clear, absolutely, but welcome to life. If you treat him with respect you will find he will treat you well. Lots of math.
I had Greenlee for macro and microeconomics. He is a great teacher. Those who say otherwise just want an easy A without learning anything. He challenges his students and promotes critical thinking, but offers as much help as needed. You will be a better and more informed student after his class. It's possible to get an A if you work hard, I did!
This is a great professor! His instructions are very logical and comprehensible. It was very interesting in the class. He keeps an auditorium of 30 people involved.Pays attention to every student.Shares his personal expiriences. To do well you need to understand the concepts not just learn the paragraphs in the book by heart.Promotes critical thinkin
overall style is difficult and i felt as though he wasn't teaching to educate, just to make a buck.
Do yourself a favor. DoNOT take this man. He is very hard. His test are hard and do not relate to materal covered. He gives trick questions. My lovely peers, do not waste your money. I studied hard in this class. I droped because I could not pass the test. I took another class and got an "A". BE good to yourself. Dont take this class!!!
If you are a business major and interested in enhancing your knowlege and much prior knowledge, this course is for you. He is very knowledgeble and teach on a graduate level. However, he fails to realize, this class is for beginners, without prior knowlege. Its reqired. He is much too advance and expect too much.Class harder than need to be.AVOID!!
Definitely the hardest teacher i have had. It's a hard class but i have taken more knowledge away from this class than any other. His lectures are great he doesn't put you to sleep he keeps you intrested. You have to take notes and read all the chapters to make a good grade. Apply your notes to the book and make sure you understand everything.
Difficult professor, but if you know the material and study it really isn't that bad. I would recommend him, he has good stories as well.
Good teacher, hard class. You learn a lot but you have to work it. test are hard but it is all about preparation. if business is your major like me take him to learn, if you want a freebe the don't, let's remember this is COLLEGE!!!!

He doesn't give grades at all untill 3 days before final. Professor grading scale looks like it is proactive but if your test scores are down then your are going to probable get the grade that is your test average. He gives other assignments but the percent towards your final grade is miniscual. Tests are Hard and very confusing!!
Does not prepare you well enough for the tests. Will ask for constructive feedback, then rejects what you say whether good or bad. Will not change teaching methods and tests are difficult.
His class is very difficult to get an A in unless you REALLY put forth the effort and dedication! His tests are difficult but overall, he is VERY informing! His class is definitely NOT boring! Also, he does not grade the term papers as you would expect-- he's a lot easier on them! That can be a good thing! You'll need it!
he likes the subject & he's VERY informative. scan chapters, KNOW THE STUFF. test questions are "application questions" based on what you read and learn from class. you'll use up about a notebook and a half taking notes, but it's worth it. ATTEND CLASS. he bumped me up from a C to a B at the last minute because i always went. recommend.
The best professor I have ever had! He made me love the subject. I learned a lot from him. His class is not for lazy students.
He has a lot of material to cover. He keeps it interesting and applies theory often to real world examples. HE wnats the class to say engaged and appreciates questions. He really cares what students take away from class. EXCELLENT! I will take MicroEcon from him as well. Never miss a class and use the workbook, it's helpful.
Greenlee is a really awesome teacher he definitely knows what he is talking about and he really helps you understand the subject. He is very funny too and defintely keeps you on your toes. His class is challenging but if you keep up with the work you will do fine. i would highly recomend purchasing the activity book that goes along witht he text.
This class is challenging. READ the textbook. Greenlee is funny and knows what he's talking about. He does get sidetracked but he tries to make it clear. Notes are available online, and so is homework. If you're going to take macroeconomics take him.
Despite what everyone says Mr. Greenlee is a great teacher, he helped me a lot with my research paper and his tests are challenging NOT tricky!! He expects you to go and look for him if you need help! after all this is college!! If you are a lazy person then do yourself a favor and DO NOT take his class!
Great teacher! He knows the subject & really likes questions. Tests are challenging but reading, note taking and pay attention are key! Gives homework and writing assignments too. If you want to learn Econ and have a great teacher that keeps you entertain will teaching take Greenlee.
This class is hard, the test are hard. He is a good teacher he will ask you if you need help. I didnt like the lecture that much because he was very bais against consevitve thinkin. I didn't like how he openly talked bad about republicans. I also think some of the information about the poverty line was bs.
I have to say, this class is very challenging. Prof. Greenlee's lecture is excellent, so make sure you attend all his classes and take really good notes.Along with taking good notes, doing the problems is the Study Guide is highly recommended. He is quite tough, but it's his job, after all it's college PEOPLE!
Professor Greenlee is a very good instructor. His tests are very challenging and seem tricky, but leave you thinking. He knows the material, but at times makes you feel stupid for not knowing the answer. He gets angry if you don't ask questions and then do poor on the test. Overall if you are a business major he is the teacher you want to take.
Very difficult class... his tests are difficult luckily they are only 50% of your grade. I am normally an A student and i got a B in his class and it wasnt a high B. He's always open if you need help though. He can he intense at times but he is in overall good teacher. Take him if you want a challenge. I would take him again.
Professor Greenlee made me an economics major. If you can get 2 A's from him (like I did), your future business classes will seem like child's play. All your teachers at USF will know you because you will be the top dog in all of your classes. He is the Mr. Miyagi of economics. Professor Greenlee, thank you for kicking my butt.
Entertaining teacher, easy grade as long as you do the work.
NOT A GOOD CLASS FOR SLACKERS! I loved his class! I had no interest in economics whatsoever, then became an economics major...because of Greenlee!! He does not like excuses and expects you to do your part. He isnt super easy, but is extremely fair. Pay attention and use your brain and you will do fine. He is an awesome professor!
It is a hard course but with this teacher you get alot out of the class. The tests are LONG but not really hard if you know the material. If you are a slacker DO NOT TAKE, but if you want to know and understand the material for the future TAKE THIS CLASS. I am taking him next semester for Micro too.
Professor Greenlee's class, while interesting, is just ridiculous. His tests are disgustingly hard and he doesn't allow students to take them home to study for his final exam. He weights assignments differently pointwise and now I've magically gone from a high C to a high D in his class. I've yet to take the final, but I'm praying for a C at best.
I got an A in his class, but I still think greenlee is a real jerk. People say you learn a lot from this class, but I feel like I forgot almost everything. Everyone says his tests are super hard, but I would always not know the material very well and be able to eliminate most of the answers.
Greelee is a character to say the least. Yeah his class was rough but hes passionate about what he does. Yes, you will have to work to get a decent grade in his class. I got C's & D's on the tests but with his writing assignments I got a B. Hes alright, just wants you to learn.
HORRIBLE!! TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU WANT TO BE SCREAMED AT AND ACCUSED FOR BEING STUPID. HIS TEST ARE A JOKE ANSWERS DONT MATCH QUESTIONS ARE RIDICULOUS. TELLS YOU TO STUDY CERTAIN THINGS THEN NEVER PUTS THEM ON THE TEST. HIS WAY OR THE HIGHWAY. HE SHOULD QUIT!! NEVER TAKE THIS CLASS!!
Terrible Teacher. I study sooo hard for a class, and I got D, i did the writting homework, got a 95 % on each and didnt give my grade up at all. BEWARE OF HIM ! Im stuck retaking this class. Unless you understand economics really good, then take it but if you dont, i would NOT TAKE HIM ! No lies. I'm an A&B student, my first D in my entire LIFE !
I took Greenlee for Micro and Macro and I consider him to be a good teacher. Yes, his tests can be hard and yes they will give you headaches but so long as you read the book and understand the concepts you can pass.
Prof. Greenlee is knowledgeable when it comes to economics, so you can count on learning. He does not give free lunches so expect to earn your grade. I'd say what you give, is what you'll get. I would definitely recommend studying the study plans/quizzes online until you know the material for the exams.
Greenlee is an amazing professor. Everyone says he is hard but I got an A on every test, every homework, and every paper we did in his class. All you have to do is listen to his lecture, read the book, and practice the application of the concepts rather than just knowing definitions. If you want to know more about economics take him!
Studied for all of his tests, highest grade was a 70. Read all of the chapters took notes in class and out of class did the practice quizzes online and all of the homework. I have never gotten a C in my life. He tells us to just read the chapters. Doesn't pass any of our papers back for us to see our grade. Tests are very hard and he is not helpful
Baller, enough said... and study for his class because he dosnt just hand out candy you got to work for his grades
I previously commented on Prof. Greenlee's Macro course (No free lunches). You can expect the same type of course in Micro. Probably will be one of the tougher courses you take at SPC, but you will learn if you apply yourself. Again, use myeconlab to cement the concepts. Use his office hours if needed, he has no problem explaining something.
Professor Greenlee makes you work for your grade. Not an easy course but man did i feel good when i got my (B). Did everything I could do to earn it. Good course but you have to know the material to pass. Definitely have to earn the grade
Wow. I took him for Macro and I'm definitely taking him for Micro. I have learned so much in his class. He is not easy, his tests are HARD. I recommend recording the lectures and listening to them later, especially if you have a lecture summary. He responds to e-mails fast and has a lot of office time if you drop by to talk. Best. Professor. EVER.
I took Greenle for Micro and Macro and all I can say he is the best professor in campus. His lectures were so helpful even for Intermediate Micro and Macro at UCI!!!! But you HAVE to study really hard in order to get a good grade. He does his job...so do your part if you want to be sucessful in his classes. That's why we are in college, right? :-)
HORRIBLE PROFESSOR. I hate his teaching techniques. He embarrass students by making them feel stupid in front of the whole class. He asks random questions and if you dont know the answer you cant say you dont know he makes you search for the answer. Very intimidating I dropped. There was only 7 people in my class.
Good teacher! He is pretty chill
Coming to Lectures will not help you too much on the tests. Lectures are mandatory. He is semi helpful but the bulk of the class is the tests and you're on your own for those. Wish there was better options but he will have to do.
Since I am a theater major, taking macroeconomics wasn't the brightest idea. It's for BUSINESS majors. He's a challenging professor who knows his stuff & wants YOU to know your stuff. You can't get by just by memorizing & defining..you must KNOW the material. Students with accommodations can't take tests in the testing center >:/ Lucky to get an B!
The teacher takes it offensively when you say his tests are tricky, yet a week later he admitted to them. Theyre all trick questions and this class is very hard to pass. Doing all the homework won't help at all either so good luck with this terrible teacher who sucks at teaching.
I took an online course with this teacher and he is awful. The worst online teacher ever. No help. No idea what he is doing online and has not even read the material that was suggested in his syllabus. Never take his class.
CHOOSE ANOTHER PROFESSOR! Tests are very confusing and he doesn't put anything that is on the test that he talks about in class. Extremely unhelpful and insulting. Stay Away!!! At the end of the semester he still didnt know who I was....
The tests are super hard and confusing, not many other ways to improve your grade. there is a research paper and occasional myeconlab homework. He is loud and insulting. The class stressed me out.
Great teacher. He really is passionate about his class and is a great teacher. He will make you look stupid if you constantly interrupt his lectures but is normally open to questions. Study the myEcon lab it is a must. He doesn't give out grades you have to earn them. Will always help students ho come by for help during office hours. Great teacher
awesome teacher, yes, you really have to work at it but overall you will learn a lot from him. Really a nice guy if you seek him out for help. do his my econ lab thoroughly and know the material. I visited him during his office hours and he gave me great ideas for my paper that really helped. Don't take if you can't do hard work but worth it.
Tell me how he got hired? He doesn't provide clear instructions and will often add something to them at the last second! He will also yell for no reason! I only did good because I was lucky. Waste of money and time.
started out great but test are hard and when project comes he doesn't tell you how to do it and doesn't tell you things like how to turn it in until the day its due... only recommend for straight A students
I should have heeded the warning for this class. Usually an A/B student. I did not go into this class judging the teacher. Some of the other comments say this teacher is a jack and a half. Teacher will give you LOWEST grade possible. I am not biased, this is the truth. MAKE SURE you understand the EXACT directions b/c you will never get a 100%.
I learned a lot, but the tests are very difficult. If you want to pass you better be ready to study. I would only recommend this teacher if you are very interested in economics, otherwise I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Read the chapters and take good notes and you will be just fine. He will ask question now and again to see if you read the chapter. I really enjoyed taking his class. My favorite class last semester.
The worst class I have ever taken. Was mandatory for Bus Admin. So I had no interest in the class to begin with. The class is entirely in MyEconLab except for Test and Discussions which are about every 4 chapters. Don't expect to see a grade for the discussions or any feed back on them. Also he considers 90 B, 80 C ,& 70 D Don't take his class!
Took his Macroeconomics class, prior to it I knew nothing about economics. Greenlee is an excellent professor! He was ALWAYS willing to help during his office hours. He's become one of my favorite professors (tough but fair). Tests are difficult but STUDY & ASK QUESTIONS. He gives brownie points to those who try. I learned so much & recommend him!
If you''re planning to use micromacro in your future career I would take him. His tests are difficult but once you learn something you won''t forget it for a very long time. He is also funny and even though I finished all my economics courses I still visit him and ask how I can incorporate economics on my other projectspapers
If you want to pass Micro or Macroeconomics DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. He picks on his students for fun and complains about every little thing. What you can expect are lectures that are all over the place, no review for his tests, 60 question tests, absolutely no extra credit. His class was a complete disappointment. If I were you I would not take it
This was not a Easy class, his tests are hard but you will learn in the end. He is willing to help in any way, highly recommend taking advantage of that.
Gives homework assignments that are pretty easy, but are long. Test are difficult unless you take the practice ones on myeconlab. Takes a long time to give you back your grades for paper.
Professor Greenlee is no doubt one of the best professors I have had. I took his class over the summer semester, but even with the shortened time frame, I still gained a great deal of knowledge. He will make you work for your grade, but he is fair, and is usually willing to make time to explain something you need help with. I would recommend him.
One of my favorite teachers. I took him for macro and micro. He's funny and entertaining, but you'll learn a lot. Anything he says during his lectures can and most likely will be on the test
This class had nothing to do with my intended major and made it that much more difficult. He is very confusing and it seemed like most of what was taught was rudimentary compared to the actual material on the test. He expects the students to come to him with whatever problems they have and he hates "feeding" the answers to people.
I'm currently do well in his class but he is the toughest professor. Not very nice. Loves to lecture and makes fun of students in front of everyone else. Picks on specific students.
Picks on students, and has no control over how loud his voice is. Only cares about test grades, and some of them have very poor wording so it's easy to get the question wrong. Class told him it would be helpful if he reviewed for the test next time before we had it, and he blamed the students for not asking questions. I wouldn't take him again.
Finally! A professor who teaches well, goes by the book. Challenges his students to think for themselves. Does not tolerate stupid questions (so beware), but if you're sincerely asking he will lead you to the answer. 3 tests, multiple choice, not too difficult if you study. Quizzes/hw for each chapter (20% of grade). Get a B and final is optional
Mr. Greenlee is a great teacher. His subjects are necessary so is great that you can actually learn something from him. He is tough, but that doesn't mean he is a bad teacher. Just study for the tests and have exact questions and he will be there to answer. One research paper, 3 tests and some homework. No extra credit. Definitely take him.
Personally the worst class I've taken. Reading the textbook and knowing it word-for-word is CRUCIAL. There are pop quizzes for every chapter and they are very specific, I have read the chapters and still failed the quizzes. His lectures are very confusing and when it comes time to do graphing, his examples are hard to learn from. Do not recommend.
Definitely the hardest class I've taken in a long time, but I did learn a lot. Be prepared to know the terms in the chapter word for word and STUDY for the tests/quizzes. You really have to earn your grade in this class. There isn't any extra credit, but tests are multiple choice. Greenlee is a funny and informative prof, but he isn't the easiest.
He gives good lectures I will not lie but, his tests were very hard. I'm a straight-A student and taking him was not a breeze. No matter how hard I studied it was never enough to get higher than a B on his tests. I would say every other week you will have a quiz they are open-ended not multiple choice. Overall if you like a challenge he is your guy
George Grenlee is an awful professor. Yells at students whenever you ask a question and makes rude remarks. Does a stupid chuckle when he's angry but is trying to be nice. Tests are very hard and nothing like what he lectures in class. Also told the class that he does not believe in anxiety, and is inconsiderate to students. Do not take Greenlee.
Everything is memorization. If you can't memorize an entire chapter get ready to fail this guy's class. I took notes and did all the homeworks and nothing helped me pass this class. There is no possible way to memorize an entire textbook.
His lectures were usually interesting, but there aren't that many assignments and I barely passed with an A and I'm a straight A student. Tests are difficult and are a large percentage of final grade. Study and know the terms for quizzes. Earn his respect, give a real effort and don't skip class. He's a tough grader, but is willing to help.
Was literally impossible to get an A. His tests were extremely hard. He would yell at our class to ask questions, but would make you feel stupid when you did. However, when you go to his office for questions, he was very nice and helpful.
Has absolutely no chance of getting redemption for any assignments. Not clear on assignment tasks and/or having due dates set in place.
He is very passionate about economics. Has funny stories.
This was the hardest class I have taken so far at SPC. There were way too many quizzes and tests which were extremely hard. I'm usually an A and B student and I just barely passed so don't take him if you really need the credits. He does not offer extra credit. Last but not least I know more about his retirement plans then I do this class.
Professor Greenlee's (summer) class consists of three tests, one research paper, quizzes before the start of new chapter, and HW assignments on MyEconLab. He encourages students to ask questions and visit him during his office hours for help. If you are willing to learn and put much effort, take his class. He truly care for his students!
Does NOT give clear assignments, but then does not give extra credit when his messy assignments aren't fully perfect. Still got an A since the class isn't hard, but he is really not there for a students trying to learn, he is just there to grade you.
Worst Professor I have ever had. Even had miscalculations in his examples. The practices were completely different from the quizzes. You won't actually learn anything.
Professor Greenlee is a teacher I advise everyone not to take, he will ask why no one asks questions but will insult you for asking a question. it's quite clear he is not looking to teach students he just wants the pay. I realized that in order to pass you have to read the textbook multiple times and youtube concepts that he rushes through in class
