Teacher is very thourogh, gets side tracked a bit, loves to talk. Doesn't leave much room for you to fail if you do all your work. You will NEVER leave class early. He is very repitious but it pays off in the end. Does a great review for the final.

Mr. Hoffman was very helpful and very good at explaning in a variety of different ways so that everyone would be able to understand. Excellent professor and a personality to go with it. He made the class very enjoyable.

This is one of the best math teachers I've ever had.If you don't understand math at all this is the place for you!I wish I could take him for every math class. He explains every step in the problem instead of going straight to the answer which helps alot!

By FAR the BEST teacher for this level Math! We stayed late EVERY class period. We spent days on one section, but he made sure we understood the material. If you want a good foundation for higher level math, take his classes! You will be pleased..

Mr. Hoffman is an intellegent and articulate man. He explains algebra very well. Sometimes it makes me question myself what has happened to the last four years of highschool. I've graduated in the top 20% with honors, AND i was still put in a prep class in college. Highschool teachings are horrible. He makes you understand algebra more profiency.

Mr.Hoffman has made algebra understandable and almost fun...to a point. I was hoping to have him for my next level of algebra but he doesn't have any classes in my avil time slots. I would recommend everyone take his class.

Mr.Hoffman is a great instructor. If you are serious about learning Algebra. You have to be focused,committed, and be ready for plenty of home work. He is very dedicated to his students if you are ready to learn. Do not waste your time or his if you are not serious about learning this subject, it takes away from students that want to learn.

Prof. Hoffman is a very good "teacher". Not many college professors "teach". A lot of them expect you to know the subject they are teaching as well as you do. He takes the time to explain things to his students. Even those that had to wear "eyepatches" to class for several days after having eye surgery. Thank you!

This guy is cool. He sounds like the guy from House. ha. Seriously though, he has studied a lot about teaching Math to others so he knows his stuff. He's always more than happy to go over a problem if you don't understand and he doesn't hammer you with math tests. Take this guy.

Mr. Hoffman is a VERY good teacher. I've never been good at math, and I barelly passed in HS. Mr. Hoffman breaks things down to every single step it could possibly have(which is annoying, but helpful in the long run) and makes it so easy for you to learn. There is a lot of homework so be prepared to work your butt off. Overall a very good teacher.

I don't know what I would have done if I had had a different teacher. I think a higher power led me to this man so I could be inspired and elevate my self confidence, have a passion for learning Math that I've never had before and also, to have more fun than I've EVER had in school my whole entire life. I hated Math but after just one day in Mr. Hoffman's class my opinion was changed. He is by far the BEST TEACHER I have ever had the honor of knowing. If there were more teachers who taught like Mr. Hoffman does, there would be a lot less students dropping out a lot less of them failing. Mr. Hoffman is a valuable asset to this college by far.

Had him for two classes. If you are looking for an easy way out, find another professor. You will earn your grade. He wants to TEACH algebra so you understand it. He will help you, if you are putting forth an effort. You will understand the basic concepts and be successful if you apply yourself.

VERY HELPFUL TEACHER. He shows all of the intermediate steps realted to solving a particular problem and helps students to understand exactly why the answer is what it is. He also can keep the class pretty interesting. He cares about his students' success and will be happy to answer any questions. Expect to work hard! Great teacher!

Prof Hoffman knows mathematics. His class was so easy a 1st grader could get an "A". For those who couldn't pass his class, it was because they didn't do the homework and didn't attend classes. He gives a lot homework. If you need any extra help he is more than happy to help you. I had a 45 minute session over the phone. Very detailed! Easy class!

Mr. Hoffman is an excellent teacher. He expects your attendance and participation in class, & H.W. done. If you do this he will go out of his way to make sure you understand the material. He will call you from his home for tutoring or meet with you on campus around his schedule. I NEVER GOT MATH UNTIL MR. H! LOVE HIM! LOVE HIM!

Mr. Hoffman expects you do be able to do the h.w. in the way he thinks is the best method to teach in order for you to have better organizational skills. He does assign quite a bit of H.W. but if you do it, the tests are pretty simple. You just have to put forth the effort to make a good grade in this class.

This teacher is very strick when it comes to homework and getting things done, but he does it because he knows you will learn what it needed to succeed. You can tell he truly has a passion for teaching. He also wants to make sure that every oportunity for you to succeed is met at its fullest.

Likewise, it's as though he looks at each student like they were his own son or daughter, and he'll go out of his way to try and help make math easy.

I have never actually had a professor that is so determined to help and teach the concepts to his students, trust me he is the only teacher i have ever seen achieve that. He is Amazing!!! I failed this class 3 times at valencia and got a solid B in his class and passed the exit exam. He is funny and so smart, but not boring at all. You do need to be in class and do your work but he will help you succeed if you are trying yourself. he is a great person and a great teacher! TAKE HIM!!! BUT do not be disrespectful.
