I loved having class with him! He can make almost anything seem interesting with his examples and songs. Go to class because he has little attendance points that can add up and help your grade in the end. He even lets you choose to retake one exam if you don't like the grade you got.

I took Child Psychology online. It was basically his recorded lectures, which were very humorous and fun to listen to. The only grades we had were from class discussions online, chapter quizzes, and three simple papers.

I had this professor for Psych 120 and I can honestly say he was one of my favorites; he makes learning entertaining, he doesn't expect much out of class work besides showing up when he gives the quizzes, and he is a fair grader. Overall wonderful professor. Text book was also written by him and is cheap.

His recorded lectures are very entertaining and informative! He will sing and use different voices. The exams aren't hard, and the material is easy to learn.

He is a great professor and you can easily understand the material. He makes up songs and slides that make it easy to learn. I really enjoy his class and the best part is if you miss something all of his lectures are all recorded. He makes you laugh at least once or twice every lecture, and that is pretty impressive for a psychology lecture.

He is by far my favorite professor so far. Even if you just take the class just because, he will make learning psychology fun (because it is!). He will sing to you and tell you exactly what to study before your weekly quizzes which are usually 5-6 questions. I would take his classes tens times over.

My favorite professor ever. You can tell her knows what he's talking about and cares about it. He also cares about the class and how well they do even though its a huge lecture hall. His way of teaching is very easy to listen to and be engaged with. He uses real life examples and makes difficult terms easy to understand.

One of the best teachers I've ever had! Class is mostly lectures followed by a quiz at the end of each chapter. Thankfully if you do happen to miss a class all his lectures are online. Another good thing he is really good at keeping you engaged and makes the class fun! Also super helpful if you go to him to ask questions.

Best guy ever. Really good lectures. PSY 120 is a very easy class to get an A in. A lot of the things we are learning is focused on child psych for some odd reason. The textbook we have is a small book that costs $10 written by him. Don't bother buying it if you go to lecture.

I loved Psych 120. Dr. Hollich is absolutely amazing!! He's so nice and he really cares about his students. You don't even have to attend lectures. He puts them all online and you can get your participation points that way. We asked to take the final 2 weeks early and he let us. He's giving us an optional final for finals week. Take it for a easy A

He is hilarious and consistently makes lectures fun and interesting. He seems to create his own song for every lecture and keeps the class loose and fun.

By far the best professor I have had so far. Hollich is not only a really nice guy, but he is hilarious. His lectures are so entertaining. I chose to go to class because I want to, not because I have to. You are supposed to buy a book for this class, but honestly you don't need the book at all. One of the truly exceptional classes I've ever taken. Despite that this class was an easy A, I really learned a lot. Professor Hollich's assigned assignments were very tied to real life, which was really nice. I especially appreciated th book he wrote for this class which, while have very few pages for a college class textbook, is all you'll need.

George Hollich is the jewel of Purdue. He is so much fun in class and has a passion for what he teaches. He is also very understanding if you need to miss class or turn an assignment in late. Also, catch him on his razor scooter around campus, it's quite an experience to watch.

Lectures themselves do not provide much new material, but presentation is riveting enough to compensate! Classes laced with musical numbers, videos, and photography of his own children. Lecture recordings accessible, very little homework given. A bit slow to reply to emails, and research credits are annoying. Overall, charismatic! A real gem!

Dr. George Hollich is such a great professor. He is very engaging in class and always tries to make us laugh. He runs the class very smoothly, at a nice pace, and all the actives we do are very purposeful and helpful. Dr. Hollich sings to us, shows us adorable videos of his kids, and rides his scooter into class. To sum it up, he is a pure soul.

It might just help since I really enjoy psychology, but I think he definitely makes the class super interesting. He knows his stuff really well so he doesn't have to recite off of slides, and is constantly engaging. P.S. Be prepared for him to sing

The best professor Ive ever had. His material is clear and entertaining. Its easy to actually learn the material while enjoying it rather than being stressed about passing exams. If you try by going to lecture to listen, doing the few home-works, and read the short chapters, you will pass.

Hollich is a great professor. I had him for Child Psychology, and this was an easy course. He made the lectures entertaining and very conversational so it wasn't boring (except that it was a little slow paced.) There weren't any exams and most of the grades were from attendance, homework, and short answers/essays.

Coming to class allows for up to 10 extra credit points at the end of the semester. He mixes up the lectures by including videos and songs. There is some textbook reading, but if you show up to class, it will be discussed. You will still need to do the online questions though. Make sure to do the SONA research credits in order to pass the class.

This is the easiest class. Show up get your attendance code then leave. Attendance is 30% of your grade so just get the code from someone. I studied the day of for both exams and did great. George is great and super chill and he sings which is awesome

Dr. Hollich is the nicest person to every walk this Earth. Material taught is super easy. Lectures are fun (he sings a lot). Homework is simple. A lot of in class participation activities (so go to class or you'll lose a lot of easy points). Quizzes go off lecture & homework. Papers we write are easy and have clear criteria.

Professor Hollich was the best. Each week you have a module to complete, which consists of a chapter reading, discussion questions, completing a quiz, participation questions, and taking the time to look up research articles. The modules do take awhile to complete and he requires you to put in effort for his short answers.

Best professor I've ever had! He is nice and funny. This semester we had open-note quizzes instead of regular exams, and you can find exact answers to most questions. If you finish your work properly, you are bound to succeed. He also offered a lot of late credits and extra credits. The difficulty is equivalent to a high school class.

Professor Hollich did all he could to make this class possible to complete this semester. He made sure to inform students that if they needed more time, they can just email him. Genuinely one of the most fun professors I had. You'd think the content might be boring, but his class is so engaging and he's such an enthusiastic professor ii's hard to not take notice or want to try. He sings too! Super friendly and enthusiastic, used tophat for online textbook and homework submission which was very easy to use, up to date, and you could read and complete assignments ahead of time.

There were no exams when I took this class just quizzes that were open notes and homework that required a little bit of thought. He sings in class and makes parodies so that things are easier for the students to remember and I think he likes the preforming arts a lot. The SONA credits take a while to get so the best advice is to get started early.

Hollich had the most interesting and entertaining lectures. The workload was ok, a bit tedious, mostly a lot of writing. The only odd thing about this class is that for a lot of the questions your answer is grades on how much effort you put in, in comparison to other students.

Dr. Hollich was tied for my favorite prof of Fall Semester. It is obvious that he cares about his students' success and offers redos on assignments until the last day of the semester. No exams, two papers. Not demanding at all. He is passionate and very accessible. I took this course for my major, but I recommend it as a filler too.

I love Dr. Hollich and I took him for both PSY 235 and 240. He is a fantastic lecturer and so interesting to listen to. The only problem with the class is the TAs make all of the assignments, so the workload depends on them. You may get lucky and have very little work or you could get screwed over and have 4 short essays a week, depends on the TA.

Fantastic teacher, would take more classes with him if I was a psych major. He is very easygoing and understanding, makes lectures fun, gets his students to engage with the material and is an easy grader. Easy A, the entire class grade consisted of weekly homework assignments, weekly discussion post, and a quiz that was open book.

I had Dr. Hollich for Child Psych, and I loved the class! Since he wrote his textbook, it is fun to read because it sounds like his lectures. He does a great job of breaking down concepts, and his lectures are engaging. I feel like I retained a lot of what I learned too. Very worth going to class!

The class is pretty easy. He has a zoom option for all the lectures and there really is no attendance other than completing questions on tophat. The lectures are also accessible after the class online. There are also no exams and the quizzes online are all directly from the textbook. You get 2 attempts per question to get it right.

Took his class in the Summer 2020 and it was super easy class. He makes you buy the textbook he wrote himself which makes the assignments super easy. I also never went to lecture starting about halfway though and got a B+.

NO EXAMS! There are research experiments you will be a part of and there is a quiz for every chapter but they are extremely easy. Attend the lectures just because he is very good at engaging students and providing them with fun lecture experiences! My favorite professor so far!

Dr. Hollich is simply the best! He is easily the best professor I've had in my 3 years here, won that by a landslide. He knows the way students learn best and caters his curriculum, leading to no exams at all, replaced by weekly quizzes that help reinforce ideas better. Next sem I switched to a different PSY course just because he'll be teaching it

This was such a fun class to take! Dr. Hollich explained the material well and was super engaging. No tests, just completion of the chapters, a written assignment every other week, and a weekly quiz that's open note. You could go in person but he also offered Zoom which was helpful during the Winter.

EASIEST CLASS EVER! No final, no tests, only TopHat quizzes that allow you to have two chances on every question. The reading questions are also very easy. He gives out the attendance code so you can receive credit without attending. Easiest class of my college career, definitely take this!

Dr. Hollich has been one of the best professors I've had and his class is so easy going. He makes lectures fun and the textbook is a straight to the point read that he wrote himself. Dr. Hollich is simply a gem among Purdue's instructors. PSY120's topics are quite elementary, however, his lectures were never boring. It's clear that he wants everyone that takes his class to not only succeed, but maintain a foundational knowledge of psychology that helps to unify.

On top of that, he is a gentle grader, meaning that if you participate and do your homework to the best of your ability, you will likely end up with a good grade in the class.

Be prepared for lots of singing during lectures. Hollich is amazing at keeping the class engaging and all the content is super easy to follow along with. You do have assignments every week, but they're pretty simple and don't take that long to complete. Attendance isn't necessary as long as you complete the online portion during class time

Great professor. Lecture was engaging, but is not really necessary to go to if you have a half-decent grasp on psychology already. Bonus points if you go to every lecture. For those in the honors college, the contract assignments for this class were easy. The work you get for the week can easily be done in an afternoon, and you can work ahead.

Funny and good professor

Dr. Hollich's class was the highlight of my week (academically speaking). He treats the class with (occasionally) singing the content and the course material and quizzes are easy to do well. Also, there's no final exam.

This class is the easiest class ive taken yet at Purdue, Dr. Hollich is such a caring and sweet man and he wants everyone to get an A in his class. This class is so easy to get an A in if you put in minimal effort and most things are graded solely on completion. I finished with an A without doing 2/3 of the big assignments he gives in the class.

You can tell he loves what he does. He is very engaging and a very lenient grader.

LOVE HIM! He is so funny and keeps each lecture engaging. Will get a good grade if you do the bare minimum. Take this class if you need a filler!!

He's a great professor and always makes lectures very easy to follow. In Fall '24 at least he had an asynchronous format to the class even if you had in person lectures. You actively have to go out of your way to NOT get at least a B. I put maybe 45 mins a week into the class and got an A no problem.

He is very passionate about the topic, to the point where he creates and sings songs about the topics. The homework and papers are very easy. There are no tests. He always records lectures, so you can watch outside of class.

Hollich is incredible, can't say enough good things about how his class is run. He cares about not only his students but also the material he teaches. Not a harsh grader and gives plenty of opportunity for makeup work and bonus.

This class was so easy and Professor Hollich is really good. The only thing that I did struggle with was keeping up with the weekly reading and quizzes because I did the class remotely. But I ended up getting it all done at the end and Hollich is a pretty easy grader. The three assignments are all really easy too and graded easy as well. Easy A+.

He is the best professor I have ever had! super engaging and funny lectures, had him at 730 and he made me want to go to class, even though attendance is not mandatory. The paper is kind of hard but if you follow guidelines it's not bad. exams are kind of hard but just study. he is very passionate and so thoughtful. take him if you can

Bless this man! Prof Hollich is the most passionate and dedicated professor I have ever seen teach at Purdue. He genuinely cares about your learning and goes above and beyond to make sure you get a grade that you are happy with. He is the most understanding with students and wish him all the best. My experience in Purdue was better thanks to him

Great teacher

One of the best professors. The course was fun and easy, and on top of that, he's very passionate about the subject. He is nice and approachable, and very funny.

Great professor, super engaging and even sings in class. He wrote the textbook we used, which made me respect him even more. Was the first class I took here at Purdue, and made me know psychology was the way to go. A lot of homework involves reading and discussions online. Get ready for some busy work, but an overall great time.

I dropped the course later in the semester since I realized I didn't need it and I procrastinated too hard, but Dr. Hollich is definitely an awesome instructor. He creates a comfortable environment at his lectures and a lot of the class is graded on participation/completeness. Very respectable and likable teacher.

Prof Hollich is amazing. I took PSY 120 with him, and I loved it so much that I made sure to take PSY 235 with him as well. He is engaging and fun; it is clear he loves what he does. The 3 assignments are super easy, and he is an easy grader. I got a 100% on everything. There is a bit of work/reading, but it is easy and engaging.

7:30 AM lectures are not mandatory, as they're available via Zoom. He's a very nice guy who's easily accessible outside of class. As long as you do the bare minimum, you will pass.

Trust me guys if you are taking psy 120 get it with Hollich, even if it is at 7:30. All my friends that had different professors for psy 120 had exams but Hollich did not give us one singular exam. He also records every lecture so you do not have to worry about making it to the lecture. Homework was very straightroward.

No exams, but lots of discussion boards. All assignments are online and lectures are recorded. Attendance is not mandatory, just have to do the participation discussions. Few midterm essays, but rubric is clear and graded mostly on completion. Lots of writing discussions. Professor sings in lectures sometimes. Would highly recommend.

Loved professor hollich! Super caring guy you can just tell he's passionate about what he teaches. Homework and quizzes are super easy, attendance isn't mandatory so I stopped going after the first week. Everything is online through the textbooks. I recommend going though as he's such a cool prof! Make sure to do your SONA projects early!
