Prof Jahn is definitely the BEST instructor out of all the PBCC campuses. He always took time to explain any problems were were stuck on, and if you just do the work, you can ace the class. Plus, he's a lot of fun, and CUTE TOO! You will not be sorry if you take him for Statistics - he's great!

He is a great teacher and he makes the calculus easy. However, for an individual taking the class youe need to do all of his assignments otherwise you won't get the best out of the class.

Mr. Jahn is a great teacher. He is the **** for the math department. He has high standards but is very understanding and easily approachable. I took him for survey, and then made sure I took him again for stats. His class is definitely an experience.

Great teacher. Gives excellent explanations and will try and explain it in anyway he can to make it easy for you. His pratice tests are very close to the actual tests and great study material. Make sure you can use a graphing calculator, but i recommend this teacher to anyone who is afraid to take statitics

Excellent instructor. He breaks down difficult material and makes it easier to understand. I took him for a survey of calculus WEB CT class and he uses helpful teaching methods such as powerpoint, practice tests, and online quizzes. The syllabus is easy to follow and the math lab is very helpful if you have trouble with something.

Easy, easy class. Study the practice test. Jahn is an excellent teacher, and he really knows his stuff. He made hard stuff seem easy. Take him even if you have to travel!

If you have to take this class - YOU MUST TAKE PROFESSOR JAHN. He has practice tests on line that are almost identical to his tests, no surprises. Just make sure that you stay on top of the participation on WebCT.

He will die of heart disease or another smoking related illness in the next ten to fifteen years. Smoking kills !!!!

Professor Jahn knows his statistics like the back of his hand. There's a reason he's the chair for the math department. He's semi fast with teaching, but will make sure you understand, and it works! Try not to miss class, and DO THE ONLINE ASSIGNMENTS! They count for about 15% of your final grade and will help you learn the material better as well.

Professor Jahn makes a really tough subject easy. His class is tough, but an A is easily attainable with hard work and lots of time spent in math lab and on homework. If you're looking for an easy A, this is not the class for you. Jahn makes it easy and interesting. He is also willing to work with students he knows work hard in his class.

I thought I'd hate calc,but this teacher makes it really easy and understandable. His practise test give you a real idea of whats going to be on the test,compared to other teachers. I would recamend him to anyone, even if you hate math, you'll like this class.

Professor Jahn was not an easy. You have to work hard in his class. He is fair and will work with you to pass his class. He is great.

Prof. Jahn knows his math. He teaches where you understand and his tests are based on his practice tests that are given to you. So if you apply yourself a little this class is an easy pass. The only thing is that he teaches fast. I will highly recommend him to anyone.

I loved having him as a teacher. He is very down to earth and funny. Calculus is a hard subject, but if you keep up it's fine. He gives chances for extra credit on almost every test.

I took him for Statistics and Survey of calculus. He is very helpful. The key to the calculus is the algebra. If your algebra is good, you will find it easy. If you are like me, you will hope for a B. He is about as good of a math profesor as you can hope for.

If you're intelligent and hate repetitive, long-winded teachers, I'd strongly suggest this prof. He's funny, engaging, and very helpful if you need it. I think he's also head of the math dept. The tests are almost identical to the reviews, and attendance isn't mandatory.

This teacher is amazing. He is very clear in his explainations and makes sure that things are fun. We had homework in the book that was not mandatory, infact I never even open my book and still got an A. This teacher gives you his own notes, did not use powerpoints which made it even more understandable.

I took this Professor for the Fall of 2008 he was great. I am no math wiz but he made the material understandable for me but using the math lab is very helpful also. This professor is great and honestly he goes a little too fast but he is good. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GUY!

This is the greatest math teacher I've ever had. I took him for stats and not only is he engaging and lively, but he also knows what he's doing and he's been doing it for some time. If you don't get something he will help you at the end of class or have one of his math lab assistants help you. There is no way you wonn't pass this class if you care

this class is a hard class and im very good at math. hes a very good teacher and tries to help u out any way possible. gives some extra credit that helps a lot. u have to go to the math lab and the SI in order to pass but i would def. take this professor again

This is one of the best math teachers I have had since middle school. he gives you a practice test before each test so you know what you are expected to know. you have to put time into it and practice the problems but his way of explaining it just clicks. sometimes he talks a little fast but hes nice, funny, understanding and accommodating. TAKE!

Absolutely phenomenal! Yes, stats is hard, but he goes over the material to the tiniest detail; also goes over a practice exam that has the same concepts as the actual exam. Don't be fooled though, you need to study. My only, and I mean only, complaint is that he sometimes talks a little too fast, but you can always ask questions! A+!

Great professor, makes a very difficult class a bit easier. I find that it is vital to read the book to practice the material on the test. If you are willing to put in some work while taking a great professor, I suggest Jahn.

Great teacher. Lectures are a must. Study guide is exactly like the test, he just changes the numbers around. Explains well and is always willing to help you out if you have questions. Uses blackboard, but isn't too serious about it.

The BEST teacher I've had at this school. He makes statistics understandable and interesting. He's got a great personality and class is fun. Makes Calculus about as easy as you can possibly make it. Very clear, concise, entertaining, and helpful. You will leave class early many days and he does not keep track of attendance after a few days. Tests are just like practice tests. Only reason I got a B and not an A is because I slouched studying for the final exam.

I liked his class, but you have to be good in math to keep up with him. He lectures quickly, and doesn't slow down much to explain if you get lost. I recommend the math lab for this course. I earned an A, but worked hard for it. Exam study sheets are very helpful for tests, same types of questions. Overall, I recommend him, but its not an easy A.

Tough class but AWESOME professor. He teaches what's gonna be on his tests. Many resources available to help u pass - the rest is up to u. Most important tool in class is the practice tests.

I didnt even know what Statistics was before I took his class. He is the best teacher I had at this school. He goes fast but so well explained that its easy to understand. Study the practice tests and go to class! He's a super funny dude. He's always willing to help if you need it.

Favorite math teacher at PBSC thus far. He is pretty fast when teaching the lectures but goes over everything you need to know for tests. Any questions are always answered and provides a SI for additional help. No grey areas with him, just come to every class and study! Such a nice guy!!

Ive taken this prof before. He only teaches whats on the test. Come to class, do your HW, live by the practice tests and you will pass the class. Not a very easy class but I love the prof teaching style.

Great Ptofessor, class is not easy but gives you a lot of help and as long as you put in the work and go to his SI sessions (not the math lab) you will do fine. SI teacher Mike is very very good. Statistics was not as bad as everyone claims.He gives extra credit. If you fail this class blame yourself.

Very cool easy going guy. He is VERY quick when it comes to the material. He will give you 1/2 credit on your test if you attempt to do the problem which you can easily pass his test. The SI teacher Mike is awesome strongly suggest going to SI. Give a lot of homework but thats the worst of the class. Barely used his book. Great teacher

Very solid Professor. He knows his stuff and is all about being clear. He expects students to put in the time doing the work because that is the only way to pass the tests. He believes in partial credit on tests, which is great.

George is a great professor. He is very thorough in his lectures. He will repeat and show you how to get the right answer every time. This class isn't easy. He makes it clear, to pass you have to attend every class, do the homework, and go to he SI's. Make sure your college algebra is on point before taking this class.

Good professor but he goes fast. Cannot miss any class, otherwise you won't pass any test. Must go the math lab if you struggle with math or else. Fair grading, recommended but for fall or spring, don't take this class in summer!

Professor Jahn is amazing! The best part about is teaching is, he shows you different approach to do the math(calculate or without). If you don't understand it one way, you will the other. Once you do the homework and practice test you will do great!

I really enjoyed this professor. While he is very fast paced and gets kinda frustrated with you if you cant keep up, he is very loud and engaging and FUNNY! I loved him. The SI sessions really help so try to attend some of those if possible. If you understand the practice test you'll understand the test. Good luck!And do the homework (10% of grade)

Professor Jahn is one of the best math instructors I have had so far. The class is not easy, but he presents it in a way you can understand. This is a well respected professor who has been around for a long time. This guy knows what he is talking about. Get his class as soon as registration starts because it will fill up fast!

Professor Jahn is the only teacher of statistics I would take at PBSC. He isn't easy but if you put in the work, you will do well and actually learn the topics. He gives a small amount of extra credit but not much. His SI teacher has been working with Prof. Jahn a good while and I highly recommend taking advantage of the SI help.

As Mr. Jahn said "this is not an easy class but not a hard class" if you put in the work, show up to class, do your homework, do the practice tests that he posts online you will get at least a B. If you need extra help he has an SI tutor

Professor Jahn is a great professor. Some of the material in Statistics is tough to understand, but he makes it both clear and interesting. If you attend the SI sessions and do all the HW, then you should be able to get an A.

Great professor! Regardless, the subject is difficult so you have to put in a lot of effort and studying.

The test come from study guide. The test arent hard if you study and learn the material. But they arent easy neither. If you dont study you can expect to not do well. Professor George has by far been my favorite math teacher ever! He wants his students to pass and does everything he can to help you out as long as he sees you do your part.

You're gonna put the hours in and work for it, but it's worth it in the end! Right?

Has long lectures and you need to pay attention. Theres a lot of material and homework, but the study guides directly relate to the tests, so if you study that, youll do fine. Connects with students and is hilarious. He also explains topics well and will do as many practice questions as you need.

His tests were very easy if you do the study guide, which he gives the answers for. Theres a lot of homework but its all a participation grade as long as you show your work. His lectures aren't super boring and he's pretty nice and funny.

Hard class but if you attend all the classes, keep current with the homework and spend time in the Math Lab, you will get a good grade (A or B)
