Took Prof K’s class while taking a Philosophy Class at a University down the street from Triton. Prof K was more knowledgeable than my Prof at my other school & helped me to understand the material more in depth for my other school than the other Prof could ever do. George is highly motivated, interested in students & makes learning a pleasure.

The most knowledgeable and most articulate professor I ever had at Triton or DePaul. Period! He knew my name by second class and treated me, and everyone else in class, as equals and with respect. Fantastic Prof; takes teaching as if a divine command. Focuses time, energy & emotion on all students. The respect for each student & their opinions & views blew me away. Prof K subbed while our Prof was out. He came in, asked what we were covering & with no hesitation, lectured about the topic in great depth. His knowledge is incredible & has a contagious teaching style, and is a looker! After class, some of us talked & agreed; that this Prof is ridiculously smart & signed up for some of his classes in the spring.

Signed up for one of George’s classes, Ethics, I took his World Religion Class in 08. Best class & teacher I ever had at Triton or DePaul. Explains and clarifies questions like no other professor ever did or could. He’s not afraid to cover and tackle hard and controversial topics or issues. He is all about the student excelling and very caring!

I was in Mr. K's Class last fall; I took his class based on "Rate My Prof." Everything written about Mr. K is 110% true! I’m now in another one of his Classes,and the very first night; I was once again drawn into his teaching style and his charismatic personality. Since I had Phil at another school, I know how unique Mr K is. His incredible life experiences make the study of Ethics real. The other prof had theory & books, Mr K has that & real world experiences (Im not revealing them) He’s lived much of what we study & teaches with authority on the subjects & not just theory & with passion. This professor is the most understanding, caring and compassionate teacher I’ve ever had. He takes time to know the students, their needs and does not treat you like a number. He actually cares like a parent or a priest would. He is very smart, wise and knows how to teach with charisma and style. I will take George again the future.

Once you finish your 1st class, you know what to expect. Grade is actually up to you, but works very hard with you, even 1on1, to make sure you understand & succeed. Took George based on friends recommendations, Glad I did. Best teacher ever! At first I checked a lot of things he taught, because he answered questions so easily. When I checked I realized he knew his stuff. Gives counter opinions so you have all sides of an issue. Also gave the best lecture on working-out I ever heard. Cares about every student.

Took Phil103 with George on counselor’s recommend. Halfway through the night I knew this class was for me. A lot of students in class said they took george based on Rate My Prof, (a lot of his former students are also taking the class, a good sign). At break I checked out the site and realized that what’s written about george is absolutely true.

As an older returning student, can’t over stress what a great class Ethics is so far. We handle Ethical topics I never thought we would discuss in class. His assignments are engaging and personally challenging. His life experiences are what make this class and his teaching incredible. Also very patient, kind, understanding and respects us all.

George is a great teacher, always willing to go out of his way to help and to clarify issues. Taking my third class with him and wish I could take him for more. He works with students very hard to make sure their grade is the best possible and always gives of himself. Full of energy, witty, and his life experiences worth more than the books.

My writing assignment for my Ethics class is best assignment I ever had to do and most gut wrenching. Mr Ks style and substance of teaching is nothing I have ever experienced. I faced issues and was honest about things I did not want to be, and im glad I did. I came in this class as one person; Ill be leaving as a totally different one positively.

2 classes and Ethics is already different from every other class I’ve taken in college. Mr. George takes time to know us 1 on 1. Knows his prior students like they’ve been friends for years. George had my attention & respect the first night when he said, family is more important than grades. George is not a teacher, he’s more than that. Its amazing how he comes to know us so quickly and so concerned with all of us succeeding. Makes everyone comfortable, never really knew my classmates in my past classes as I do now. Conversations and topics discussed and how we discuss them is unique, go beyond comfortable stuff. Very deep and probing.

I write this approaching midterm; Im struck with the depth and substance of class, the topics and the way George guides us into arguing and debating. After a slideshow presentation that George shared with us, I left class with tears in my eyes, as a few others did. Best Class ever. already have a bachelor’s degree and working towards another, Ethics with Mr K was an incredible experience, taught and lead in such a way that after 4 or 5 classes we knew each other and at the end, many of us were sad to leave. To say Mr K is a great teacher is an understatement. This class was a life changing experience.

I was overcome with problems this semester, lost a lot of class time. I went back to my Profs and they all advised I drop, except for Mr. K. He worked with me after class, in person, email, calls to help me catch up, understand and finish my papers’. I got an A, learned & I’m grateful for him sacrificing his own time to help. Second time taking World Religion, (first time dropped it) and it's a totally amazing experience. Class is great, discussions and lectures are awesome. The teacher however is what makes the class. Mr Ks last presentation in class left me and others amazed and stunned. 7 weeks I sat in class listening intently and learning. George is tough on how you think, wont allow lazy thoughts, knows how to grill you for good thoughts. Got an A because of how precise the notes and lectures are and because tests are designed to think through not memorize. Class was eye-opening cuz of the teacher, George teaches how to think about religion, not what to think. I would not have thought a Prof can care as deeply as George does for students. Took 2 classes with Mr K, wanted to take 3rd, but hes not here this spring, others are filling in. Ill wait till he returns for the 3rd class. Mr K teaches with passion and conviction. About 5 weeks from finishing a class that originally Prof K was to teach. He was replaced by another teacher, because Prof K took a sabbatical. I had to write this after my first class with Prof G. I've never had a professor who was so caring about student's needs and their concerns. We voiced an issue as a class and within 3 hours after class, he offered us an option to resolve the issue. Also, He's very articulate, energetic and very passionate about teaching.

George was a sub for our class. He is what I always wanted in a Philosophy class. Someone who does philosophy, not just teach it. He is very smart, knows the subject well and knows how to generate discussion and debate. He's not at all worried about tackling Hot topic issues and does it with respect. I Rated this prof as a 1 in the easiness department, because I have never had to think as hard as I did in this class. It was hard to question everything as we were expected, only because I reaize how I have been told what to think, not learning how to think. I am taking this teacher again in the Spring. I'm at a 4 year School in Chicago after Triton; taking a 300 level Theology Class. I raised questions and Issues I learned from Mr K's class and the Prof was at a loss to answer in a satisfactory way. We're learning at a 300 level class what Mr. K covered in depth in a 100 level class. Mr K prepared me for this class and much more.

The most confident, well spoken, articulate and smartest prof I sat under at Triton. He does now allow you, or himself, to fall to lazy thinking, cliches or political correctness. After 3 semesters, this was my best experience at triton so far. This professor is the most understanding and dedicated teacher i have ever had. After the first class, I did not feel like a student, I felt like a friend. He has a very deadpan sense of humor and when you realize it, his comments become that much funnier. Taking again!

I'm at loss for words. This teacher is with no doubt the best teacher I've seen in all 3 years of studying at Triton. Was truly a sad day when we ended the class with him. The most amazing classes I have ever had. there's a reason why this teacher gets repeat students. One of the many reasons you should take this class, besides what every other student has written, is the assignment " Allegory of the Cave." From the video, readings, class discussions and having to write on it. Changed my entire outlook on life!

I just received my grade a few minutes ago, earned an "A" want to know how good this class and George is? Never had a night class where I wanted to stay after and talk. With George students do stay after and he stays and talks with you. never turns anyone down, stays to clarify issues, let you rant, vent or just philosophize.

Back to school after years away, married w/children. phl-101 was my favorite, attended no matter how tired I was. comfortable sharing opinions, listening to others & able to critique them. in other classes we dont do that for worry about being seen as a bigot, racist, sexist etc. Great environment to be able to think, debate and discuss safely.

If youve never taken this prof he seems intimidating, but quickly makes the class feel at ease & comfortable. at first I was offended by ideas in class by the teacher, but halfway through semester I realized his remarks were not offensive, it was me thinking in ways that werent critical, honest or objective. Taking george again in the summer.

Ethics was an eye-opening experience. This class was unlike any other I had taken, due to the Prof. I realized I needed to rethink what I believed to be true, false and that I was oblivious in understanding what I thought I understood. learned in Mr. Ks class that what we see, hear or talk about what we pick up from movies, reality tv, radio shows and alike, is not conducive to substantive discussion, true learning or intellectual growth. Mr K is going to go deep, he does not allow lazy talk or thinking, he will question you and your views and he expects the same

Started my 1st semester at a 4 year school. I took Triton for granted, but I'm glad I took Mr. K for Philosophy. Spent time talking with him as often as possible outside of class. Fortunate and grateful to have had a teacher/mentor such as him. I can't over-emphasize the benefit of his class to me now that I started my 3rd year in college.

Walked into Philosophy class with the intent of dropping, because I took on too much of an academic load. I figured it would not be a problem, since this was a late starting class. After only an hour, I changed my mind. Teacher is incredible, glad I attended the 1st class before I dropped, would have been a big mistake.

I singed phil 101 because it was available for my schedule. Knew nothing about the teacher. I was very impressed with the first class and every class after that. Now, at mid-terms, if my respect for this prof was 100% before, now its 1000%. After our lecture today, I realize his passion for teaching and appreciate his insights. Will take again!

Each class learned with substance & significance where I thought there was nothing left to learn. Last day, discussed Existence/Nonexistence of God, brought it to a personal level I never thought about before. I did not realize how much I learned and how differently I now think till after the semester was over. Class itself is easy, thinking the way George questions you so fiercely in class and expects reasoned responses, that wasn't easy, but well worth it as I look back. Taking again.

Took World Rel because I'm interested in the topic and is required for my Degree. Mr. K made class interesting, a pleasure to attend and above all I learned. The way Mr K presents the class, as well as the Scholastic substance, surpassed classes I've taken at a 300/400 level at the school I'm attending, and prepared me for them. Highly Recommend!

Took 3 classes with Mr G & wish i could have taken more. A great & Caring teacher with a unique teaching style, I never had to think through so many issues before or after as I did in his classes. Our entire class was given the opportunity and encouraged and modeled to share, question and debate, which made my experience ever better. Best Prof!

With two week left in this semester, I am already feeling sad to leave our class. The teacher made the class enjoyable, created a safe environment (by respecting all opinions) for us to share and question. And opened a new world to they way one looks at life and questions life. Teacher helped me love Philosophy. Best Teacher Ever!

"BEST TEACHER EVER!" I'm not just saying that. He's taught me to think outside the box. He's a very passionate and caring instructor. Will be taking another one of his courses next semester.

Mr K is the Best Prof Ive had in College. He does philosophy with you, he doesnt teach or lecture to you. Has passion for teaching and for all he does. He brought some of us to tears sharing parts of his life stories. Stories he shared so we could learn from, and in doing so, learned a lot about Mr K. Taking Mr k In the fall for World Religion!

Best Prof I've ever had. To get the most of what Mr K offers, be attentive, make sure you listen and debate him and others, makes you question everything! If you're lazy minded or don't participate, his classes are not for you; you won't do well. In fact, do yourself and others a favor and skip Mr K. Taking my 3rd class with him in the fall

Anything Id have to say has already been written or said below. Im starting a at UIC in the fall, but just signed up to come back to Triton for another philosophy Class with Mr. K. Not only a great teacher, but a very caring and compassionate person. as a student, you will be his number one concern.

Took Ethics knowing nothing about the prof. I'm on "rate my prof" to share what a positive, caring teacher and individual Prof K is. Class was an eye opener in many ways. Learned a lot about ethics in media, religion, politics and society that i never thought about in the past. His passion for truth over feelings is a blast of fresh air!

Most caring and most passionate Teacher I've ever had. His knowledge on subjects we covered is incredible, talking with him one on one after class, i realize how much more in depth he can get. Great to talk to about class and life issues, always there to help. I looked forward to coming to class and sad its now over. Taking again in the spring!

To the 3 tags add: Inspirational, Clear Grading Criteria, Amazing Lectures, Very Caring, Taking again (Ethics). George helped me to see how important and deep religion can be. Takes a very Critical and Philosophical approach with no concern for Political Correctness! If your looking for a "Feel good/Lets all sing Kumbaya" class, then Skip Mr K!

Take this Prof but make sure you don't miss a class if you can help it. There's so much discussed and analyzed in so many deep ways, that when I came back I felt a personal loss. George will however stay after class with you for hours, or on the phone to catch you up. Very caring and respects all students. Makes homemade tiramisu for last day!

World Religions with Mr K was incredible. He goes deep into each religion with history, philosophy, theology, practices & experiences; left me wanting to know more. Doesn't pull back critically analyzing each religion covered. He's very objective and balanced. Each religion we discussed, he taught with passion like it was his own personal faith.

Awesome class. You can tell he has a real passion for what he does and it makes the class enjoyable.

I'm taking my third class with Mr. K., ot because he's easy, on the contrary, his classes and teaching style are the most challenging so far in college, including my time at UIC. His teaching style in leading discussions, criticisms and questioning makes participation emotionally and psychologically exhausting and rewarding, in and out of class.

I took World Religions in the Fall of 2017 with this teacher. I highly recommend him. All you have to do is show up for his lectures and pay attention. A very respectful teacher.

Best/most knowledgeable Prof at Triton for Phil. Mr. K is Socrates, Plato & Aristotle all rolled into one. Well articulated, great restraint & respect, though not often given back to him. He's Gracious, Concerned with each student & is one badass War Hero. If you don't want another semester of blatant Political correctness, George's the mam!

Left class sad tonight, cuz Mr. G & our fellow scholars had become friends. Mr. G was able to pull that off. The man is a genius, knows how to lead, how to grasp your attentions & teach about religion in a way that you care and want to know more. He shares all sides, good and bad, pro and con, so you can draw your own conclusions. Fantastic Pprof!

I will miss this class:( Honestly, Mr. George makes class fun and interesting! He lectures a lot but is so funny! He such a sweet teacher and understanding! HANDS DOWN BEST TEACHER OUT THERE if you have to take World religion definitely take him you won't regret it!

Best class at triton I've had in last three semesters. G teaches with Conviction, Compassion, is very caring and concerned for his students. Went out of his way for me, and two other people I know, to help us catch up after Family and personal issues caused us to miss classes. Teaches with authenticity, class and style. Taking again in the fall!

Mr. G is not class as usual. I took a similar class out of state, retook it at Triton cause I dropped my other class. I stuck with Mr. G because class was brutally honest, real, challenging & you have opportunity to discuss theories and see through real examples whether those views can really be applied or not. This was the best part of class.

Finished summer classes at another school. But coming back to triton for Fall specifically for classes again with Mr. K., now that I know he is there for sure in the fall. I have only been in School two semesters, but I've not had such an excellent and caring professor. Mr.. K. is Very Knowledgeable, Kind, Patient and handsome.

Enrolled for another class with Mr G, World Religion, fall-18, even though I'm full time at UIC. Mr. G works very hard to make sure you understand and learn, he's very caring, articulate, smart, balanced, dedicated, passionate and will stay long after class to meet with students. Great 1 on 1 time. My counselor's recommendation was spot on.

Mr. G is a 1 of a Kind Prof. People say that about their favorite prof, I have favorite profs, I'd never say the same about them as I do with Mr G. Writing it for the reason that, he truly is unique. Because he cares, is respectful, thoughtful, patient with students and their situations; and a real life Indiana Jones type Professor. Taking again!

Great class and an even greater and awesome Prof. I am taking another class with Prof K in the spring, Ethics. The most knowledgeable and most caring teacher I ever had. Very understanding and will go out of hs way to help you, even when you miss class for personal reasons. Can't overemphasize what a great teacher he is. Highly recommend.

Great class and Professor, the way he taught was an amazing experience. Tests are based on lectures and lectures makes everything clear. Made us all feel welcomed, respected and took time to knows us by name. I talked to Prof K after hours, always available and willing to listen and help. I am taking Ethics with Prof K in the Spring.

Best teacher! Mr G. made class enjoyable, intriguing, fascinating; works with you and goes out of his way to help you achieve best grade possible. Learned very much through his personal stories and experiences. He's very caring, compassionate and reminds me of the "Most Interesting Man in the World." Taking Mr G again for Ethics in spring.

Clueless on Mr. Gs own views on religion through semester. In fact its an x-credit question on final. I say this to emphasize his objectivity & respect with all the religions. Taught all religions with passion, like it was his own belief; questioned them all fairly & critically for their practical & philosophical value. Great Prof and very caring!

Hands down one of the best professors you will ever have. Teaches class in a very interesting way with respect to all religions and personal beliefs. Will make you think outside the box and question your beliefs. Took ethics already and looking to see if I can take another one of his classes.

Excellent lectures.

Until Midterms, class and Prof were Excellent. Then last night, we begin a set of lectures, where you realize discussions we had before that were interesting, academic, challenging and seemed as independent lectures, suddenly took a turn and came together with eye opening and brutal clarity. Ethics became real and not just academic! Awesome!

Highly recommend this Professor for anything that he teaches. By the end of the semester, I had come to know my fellow students as friends, by name. No one was a stranger, a testament to Mr G's teaching perspective. He teaches so in depth with so much real world experience that Ethics becomes real, painfully real. Outstanding and will take again!

Best experience in college so far. George's dead on with the way he approaches teaching, philosophy and students. Made all of us feel as equals and respected. Creates a safe environment to ask questions and question him. His use of films/videos in teaching Ethics is amazing; takes you out of your comfort zone in a positive way. Taking again!

Realized early this was not going to be an easy class, Emotionally or Intellectually. You actually have to think twice about what you say,the Prof grills every statement and question like it's life and death. I found out that there is actually more depth to many issues than I was made to believe in other classes or in the media. Highly Recommend!

Best teacher I have taken at triton. He cares about all the students and felt almost as family. I learned a lot from him and will be taking another class with him 10/10

Took the class spring 2020 before everything went online. He was a great professor. Did not give a lot of homework and very understandable. He was very funny and a good at lecturing. Would take a class from him again.
