this guy does not know how to teach even in engineering class. this guy sucks, very hard exams and he will never give proper notes.

Bad at teaching, hard to understand, can't speak english, DOESN'T help very well. Students teach more class and help each other then he does. Hard tests. On projects he grades unfair and sometimes losses grade so gives you lower grade. WORST TEACHER EVER

He says that he does not allow late work, but he allows it w/ his favorites. When most of the class had their projects done on time, he let one group do it late. When they presented it late, he locked the door and would not let anyone inside the class.

Easily the worst instructer I have ever had. Poor lectures , and expect no extra help if you need it. All he does is surf the net, there were many days he doesn't speak to the class at all. I only got an A because I knew the subject before I took the class. Stay away at all costs!!!

Very bad teacher. Teaches from slides and that's it. Unfamiliar with course content. Can't answer questions unless it is on one of his slides. Grades with a curve so even if you get an A you still get a C. E57 super easy E35 physics review. He Can't answer questions and doesn't really teach.

Stay away. Easily annoyed by questions, but very demanding and unclear about standards. Course texts were mostly irrelevant. Power point lectures with little content. Lab instruction adequate, but test problems are more difficult than labs. Class is much easier if you've taken physics and math 1b.

First 5 weeks in Cal is just basic KCL,KVL,and Thevenin equevelence. It's really easy, anyone who has not taken Eng 37 can do well. Dont take Eng37 with Kresta. It's waste of time. Unless you want easy "A" , "make friend" with him. And believe me. whatever you get from that class(grade, knowledge)means nothing in your future EE career.

Just as a qualifier I did fine in this class. That being said Krestas is one of the worst instructors I've ever had. His lectures are difficult to follow, his grading can be entirely arbitrary (since he usually isn't the one doing the grading anyway), and he often has a reactionary response when corrected or questioned. You've been warned.

Dropped after 2 weeks, I showed up attentive and on time to every class. He spent a majority class time teaching basic algebra. When corrected, he WILL attack you for it. Stubborn and arrogant. He claimed that "linear regression" does not exist because he has "never heard of it." It is unfortunate that he is the only Engr10 professor at de anza

Do not take this class! If you don't follow his exact instructions on how to turn in homework you will get a zero. Very inconsistent grading, not willing to work with you, eventually it will get to point when he only will address the favorites. Also, he uses power point to lecture a math class! If you take him for ENGR10 BEWARE; even though calculus is not a prerequisite for the course virtually all the labs contain calculus problems. On top of that fact, he *expects* you to know certain things but doesn't bother to explain these methods. Bottom line: AVOID at all costs if you have NO calc background. Take at another school!

This teacher is TERRIBLE! I took his Math49A pre-calculus class & he doesn't teach us anything. The whole class scored very low like a C or below on his tests. He is the worst teacher I've ever met in my life! NEVER TAKE THIS GUY'S CLASS!

I would strongly recommend that you do not take this teacher. By the time I just couldn't handle this teacher's consistent grading errors and terrible teaching skills, I had to drop with a W, and I wish I hadn't tried so hard to stick it out and study on my own from the book. I ended up taking the placement test to skip ahead to calculus, luckily.

If you don't get the answer the exact way he did, he will mark you down. He isn't helpful at all. All of his lectures are powerpoint and he randomly gives out quizzes as well. I was a pretty decent student in math with grades ranging from a B to an A-. Taking this class, I received a D. Avoid taking at all costs.

He's not very helpful at all. Doesn't explain anything. Luckily I got a good team. We worked hard on our labs and projects, got full points.But in the end, the crappy quizzes made the grade. Take calculus 1B before this class because it is highly used in the class. Know Simpson 1/3, Simpson 3/8, Trapizoidal and Weddle rules. Know Bairstow method, Gauss Integration, Curve Fitting equations, and Newton Raphson. Know Newton Gregory forward, backword, and Stirling Interpolating rules. Read first chapter,teamwork, and project management.

This is the worst teacher I have ever had. He teaches the simplest form of a problem and tests you on the hardest form of the same problem. My class started with over 40 people (so many that we ran out of seats). And we ended up with 11 by week 10, and it just kept going downhill from there. HE IS REALLY HARD, class was mandatory. His tests had nothing to do with the homework, he doesn't give many good examples. He flirts with all the girls in the class and is very biased. He gave this girl an A, because she came over to his place for "tutoring", who knows what happened. He's a funny guy but he is tough on math.

Possibly the worst college professor that I have ever seen. He uses powerpoint slides to teach every section of his class. If you have a question and it requires him to not use he powerpoint then that question is probably not going to get answered. I have witnessed him embarrass students in front of the class for asking simple questions. Beware!!!

He just flashes powerpoints every class, rarely explains it. Powerpoints have tons of mistakes, too. When you ask him questions he makes you feel stupid and he usually says, "you should go to the tutoring center." I'm sure he means well, but I think he should be more hands on with his students. I passed this class by going through the book myself.

Most useless teacher I have ever met in my life. Does not care to teach the students. Puts in no effort when grading papers. His grading scale is very inconsistent. You get a 7 while someone else gets a 9 when you both have the same answer. When you ask him why, his only explanation is that it was too messy.

Worst Teacher I ever had the misfortune of taking. Do not take his class unless you really enjoy reading a textbook to understand what he was actually teaching in class. He refuses to properly answer questions in class and gets defensive if you question him further. He also doesn't address cheating in his class, and it lowers the curve for others.

Teaches math with power point slides that have errors. If you have a question he will tell you to go to the tutoring center. He is completely and utterly useless and doesn't want to be there. Still I somehow I got an A. Worst teacher I've had in all of my 2 years at De Anza/Foothill.

Drop this class. He is seriously the worst teacher I have ever had. His due dates are wrong, all of the webassign has to be done before the last day of school, not the last day it says (later). His in class homework has to be crammed on a single sheet of paper. He loses track of his class all the time and covers techniques that aren't in the book.

I would not recommend this teacher to absolutely anyone unless they know their material well. Do not come to this professor because his formatting for his quizzes and tests are crazy. He teaches with powerpoint not much the white board. He uses online homework that I didn't like at all. Not very clear. In my class, there was only like 9 students at the end, and a lot of us didn't do well, barely pass. I knew I wasn't going to do well because of the way he teaches so I change my grade to passno pass.

Some people aren't meant to be teachers. He does not show you how to solve problems. Horrible professor. Doesn't answer questions, sarcastic answers. Reads off the powerpoint(which has a ton of mistakes). Lectures are beyond slow and boring. All you do in class is just do problems off the powerpoint. Quizzes have random electrical engineering problems on them. Homework's online, that's the only positive thing.

Docks points for not having the syllabus printed out for the first day of class. Was trying to add the class so didn't get that email. Saw a student get locked out of class for leaving to use the restroom. Teacher would not unlock the door until about 10 minutes later. Hard to understand thick german accent. Strict.

Took Math 41 and never seen like this professor before. All lectures from PowerPoint. Doesn't know to solve problems on whiteboards unless check his slides. Tough graders and difficult quizzes/Tests. Attendance is not required but pop quizzes each week. Teaches more than 100 students, less attention to individual, more attention to his paychecks.

Comments for this teacher accurate! He teaches from a powerpoint, doesn't answer a question when you ask one, and is VERY unclear for what he actually wants as far as tests, quizzes, and homework goes. Avoid if possible!

I hate to write a review after seeing all these other ones, I should have listened before hand. This professor has good intentions but is just not great at explaining the material well in a way that the students understand. He teaches off of powerpoint slides and he doesn't know how to explain the material to people that learn in different ways. :(

his class is so difficult and he is so strict. When students ask his question he always lose patience.

lack of email response( claims he doesn't have a secretary). easily confused/irritable, forgetful, and disorganized. returned assignments will be left in the corner and he claims he doesn't care if it's thrown out at the end of the day. frequently starts class late. obvious bias towards students. favors you or says you're lazy. 6 people took final.

This is the worst professor in De anza college, and his grading scale will make you cry. This is precalculus, and it is supposed to be easy. He makes everything way more complicated.

Please. Avoid him if you do not want to ruin your GPA. There must be a reason why all the people are saying bad about him.

I don't know if he knows his materials or not but he certainly has trouble teaching. It is so hard to communicate with him, and he gets a lot of things wrong when he says or shows something on the powerpoint. It often takes 5-10 minutes to even fix what he said wrong. To be honest his 2-hour class can be taught in 30 minutes.

He reads off of slides because he doesn't remember the actual material himself. He is no help during office hours and will send you to the tutoring center if you have any math related questions. Heavy accent and overall just not worth the time. I learned most of the material in my textbook. He's a nice guy but terrible professor and can't help you.

There are 3 exams and he doesn't send you any study guides. He aims for 10 quizzes but we didn't get to all of them. He's never actually teaching he just reads off of slides and he never actually helps you when you need it (unless your his favorite than he'll help you for 30 minutes explaining everything he should've taught the entire class).

Do Not make the mistake of taking this class. I'm warning you!

He doesnt really teach out of the textbook and doesnt make his slides available online, making it impossible to follow outside of class. Lectures don't go in depth and there is no study guide for tests. This combined with his refusal to teach out of the book make the contents of the tests extremely unpredictable. worst prof ever, DO NOT TAKE HIM.

On the first day of school he sent an email out at 1:30am due in class that day. He uses a very specific format for papers and if not exactly how he'd like it he will throw it out and you will not receive credit. He locks the door 5 mins after class starts and you can't leave, even for the restroom or you will be locked out til class is out. Etc.

Death by PowerPoint!!! This guy doesnt even teach he just clicks through slides and doesnt explain anything. Possibly the worst teacher at De Anza.

This has a huge ego and his heart in not in the right place to help students to succeed. I took 2 lessons with him and I couldn't stand him anymore, dropped the class after the 2nd. If you're looking for a real challenge and want to find out how a professor can be so terrible, then take his class.

BAD doesnt know whats going on, doesnt follow the material youre actually supposed to go over, never heard him answer a question clearly. tests mostly based off review questions for each chapter. keep on top of HW because its so little that you WILL forget to do it. lets you use a cheat sheet for tests and notes for quizzes. nicer than anticipated

Instead of complaining about how he wont teach you anything Ill help you pass. 1)Have the class ask many questions on the test/quizzes. He didnt write them and after he gets annoyed hell let everyone take it home. 2)He cant hear and doesnt look up form his desk during test/quizzes. 3)When there is a pop quiz its on his desk so do a drive by.

He is a terrible teacher. On his syllabus he has a whole section for sanctions. If you have your phone in sight he marks off up to 5 course grade points, and he was two weeks ahead of the syllabus so no one knew what to study for. His lectures were just him reading questions off the slides for 2 hours. It sounds easy but its not.

He is unorganized and unclear on everything. He keeps confusing students. Conversation doesn't seem to work for him. He had never answered my question.

Had him for only two weeks and I was immediately lost. His lectures were so confusing with only the concepts on a PowerPoint. He didn't do problems unless we asked. I was also in a class discord and everyone was just as confused as I was if not, more.

He is very tough to work with he doesn't answer any questions so dont even bother he will either say no questions or straight up ignore. Lecture from powerpoint he reads off it so you cant learn from that then he holds you responsible when you can't understand. Honestly take a self thought class and I did much better. Positive note: Good grades...

Doesnt post grades so you have to guess whether you're passing or not, gives pop tests while he sleeps, doesn't put info anywhere and expects you to find it/figure it out, kicks you out of zoom if your camera isnt on or if your whole face isn't showing, thinks he's the best at teaching, SO entitled. Would rather get a W then an A and stay in class.

unable to understand clearly about what he sayin. Unclearly structured syllabus and class. I think he was almost half gone.

He is simply one of the most unprofessional and frankly rudest professors I have the misfortune of dealing with. He his expectations for online class is that if you don't solve the question in under 30 secs you are "not participating". He will as randomly kick you out of the zoom for "not showing your face" when we all clearly were.

Had him in F19/W20 classes. Never take him. Both quarters were just him yelling at students, clicking through ppt, and then the "IBM genius" needed to contact IT everyday because he couldn't login to his computer. Learned nothing. His TAs grade like crap and will dock off tons of points for stuff we weren't even told to do. Guy needs to retire.

Don't take this class. He does not teach in class, only gives a series of questions for you to complete. He shows you the solution to the question but is terrible at explaining why you do certain things and concepts. The difficulty of his tests and homework are wayyy above what he teaches in class. Don't take this class. -10/10 teacher.

Terrible. Definitely need to retire. Gets mad at you for not speaking loud for him to hear, you literally can shout as loud as you can and he won't still be able to hear you. Spends too much on tryna figure out how to turn on computer. Self study class, doesn't really teach anything in class, when he is talking you can barely hear him.

He needs to get a hearing aid or retire. Poorly thought out test questions, lectures not helpful, test not related to h.w. or quiz. He's grumpy, doesn't know how to apologize for his mistakes, office hour unavailable, always blaming students, and a tough grader(his TA does it)

HW and quizzes will not appear on test. Teaching ability is very poor and learning from his class will be very difficult. Test are short and simple. Understanding the concept fully will make test very easy, but he doesn't teach it so you'll have to learn it by yourself.

If you can't write like Sonic, don't take it. His pacing is very fast, and barely manageable without help from tutors. Might as well sleep through the class and then read the textbook after. His grading is confusing, puts nothing on canvas (not even the slides!). He teaches mostly through slides with very little explanation of how any of it works.
