great teacher and funny. had him for general antropology and human species. no need to go to class until review days where youre basically told what exactly is on the test. go anyways if you wanna learn more and have a good time. we need more professors like him.

Awesome teacher gives you a lot of notes but ends up cutting most of it out before the test...i only went to class for the tests and got an A seriously the easiest teacher at UCF

Great professor. Take an ant class with him and you will keep a high GPA. He discusses all the notes and lets you know what exactly is coming on the test days before the test. Class is not mandatory but he knows his stuff and can answer any question. If you study the notes you can get an A in that class. No one should get less than an A.

As long as enough people go to class, Prof. Long is happy. When he's happy he puts all the notes online. My advise is no matter how easy you think this class may be, dont miss the review sessions the class or two before the test. I liked him so much I'm taking him again next semester.

The reviews are right, he is easy, watch out though, if not enough people go to class he wont post notes on-line. My biggest suggestion is to make SURE you go to the class before the test, gives exam reviews that make his tests a joke

I take Long whenever I can get into his class. Hes pretty old school when it comes to class (which I love) meaning he lectures & we take a test. He gives reviews and puts notes online... his classes are pretty stress free.You dont have to go to class,but if you do you will only have to review instead of study. He a cool guy.Take his classes

Long is pretty easy you dont have to go to class but if you do it makes it easier for you when you take the test. He puts notes online and crosses out what is not going to be on the tests. FInal exam is also mandatory so if you have a good grade at the end of the semester you dont have to take it.

Good Professor! He basically skims through the slides in class and its up to you to study his review. The review helps alot! Notes & review is online (provided that enough ppl show up to his class). Exams require good memorization but...U CAN DO IT! Oh, and if you really want to learn about the subject take Sinelli instead.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY THE BOOK. I never used it once. Notes are online, you don't need to come to class per say but I found that people who didn't got lazy and found themselves in trouble later on. Memorize the notes and absorb the material during lecture. Easy "A" but if you really want to learn anthropology look elsewhere. He curves, also.

His class has to be the easiest 2000 level course at UCF. But other than that, when taking this course over the summer, the lectures would only last less than an hour a day, which is rare for a course that's alloted 2 hours per day four times a week. Also, he would post notes on-line that would be almost exactly what you would see on the exams!

This is an easy A..people say you don't need the book and I didn't believe them and read the first few chapters but you really don't need to, all you need are the reviews, anything not on there WILL NOT be on the test. Some people need to go to lectures so you posts the notes online but it won't kill you if you miss a class or two. Would recommend!

I thought Prof. Long was an excellent teacher. Took him spring semester for Human Species. He teaches you everything you need to know. Does a great job of introducing new subjects while still reviewing past information. He is funny, helpful & kind. I learned a ton-but I also went to every class. Tests are hard, so listen, review, and read notes!

If you go to his office hours, he will cross out anything you dont need - and the rest is your test. I got an A on every test and literally memorized the charts the night before. TAKE HIM! This is the only class I did not ever attend, and it is the only one that I have an A in. He puts all the notes online, and a full review for each test. If you memorize it, it is a guaranteed A. He also adds points to the tests sometimes. It is a class of 300 and maybe 25 attend everyday. If you want an easy and stressful class take him!!

I really enjoyed this professor, however, I would have liked a more structured lecture. Mr. Long needs to be tougher on the clowns in class, as all the chatter was a bit distracting. The kind of guy I'de love to go on an archeological dig with!

Don't buy the book. Don't go to class unless you just want to watch powerpoints. I went to class, studied the day before each test, and I have an "A" before the final (which means I don't have to take it because he only takes the top 4 of your test grades). He's easy, the tests are easy, get this GE class out of the way with George all the way.

Great Professor. Plenty of chances to get your grades up, w/ opt. final and lowest test retake, plus he adds points and curves a few points. No attend. necessary, unless you want.just know the reviews forwards and backwards. For the retake, go see which questions you missed and sub your grade for a 100 after you retake and get them correct.!!

He was very nice and definitely the teacher to take for Human Species. You don't have to attend class, you don't need the book, and he puts all the study guides and notes online. I went to his office a few times and he was very nice and helpful. I got an A and all I did was study the notes the day before. Overall, good teacher.

Very simple professor. You have two choices with this class. Come to class and listen to him lecture, or skip class and read the book. It's possible to never even do that and just study the notes he puts online. He puts up slides (essentially any and all info you need for the test) which is practically the test. Take him if you can, VERY EASY!

As easy as can get. Don't even bother going to class everyday. Go once a week if you want to see what's up. Don't need the book at all. His test come right from the notes he puts on WebCT. There are 4 easy test and if you do well on them don't even bother taking the final. Recommend for an easy A+

Easiest class I've taken at UCF. Attendance is not mandatory and notes are put online before exams. Is also very understanding and helpful. There is also 2 opportunities to makeup an exam you missed or did poorly on. You would really have to mess up to not get an "A" in this class. Strongly recommended if you need the credit.

He was my anthropology teacher. He was really nice and funny, however, going to class is pointless. I only went on test days, rarely studied, and still ended up with a B+. The tests are based solely on the notes, which he posts online, and the tests are the only grade.

Very easy teacher. wants to see you make an A and makes it easy to make an A. all you have to do is study his reviews he posts. at the end of the semester he gave 3 quizzes for 1 point added to your final average and curves the grades: 89=A 88=A-. so all you need to make is an 86 and take the 3 quizzes for an A.

Very easy/low stress class. There are 4 tests and a final. He takes your 4 highest test grades/drops the lowest to calculate your grade. He posts lecture notes online and gives you hints during class what is important to know for the exams. I recommend taking him for any class you can!

George Long is the best professor in the history of man, period. If you can, take all of your general education electives with him. What you take away from the class is more knowledge than you will need in life about anthropology, and an A.

I don't know why you wouldn't want to take a teacher who gives you all the notes to every test. I passed every test by just reading the notes in the hour I had in between classes. I didn't think he was that boring, either. Most of the people who take this class don't really seem to show much of an interest in it from the beginning, anyway.

I'm not sure why everyone says he is so easy because he is definitely not his tests are very difficult to get an A on the test is on 150 power-point slides and he asks details. He does drop the lowest but I have a 3.5 GPA as a science major and can only seem to get B's on his tests. He is harder than people make him out to be.

Probably one of the easiest classes I've even taken at a college. Gives you a review before each exam which basically is the exam itself. No need to go to class as the powerpoints eventually become condensed review sheets. Very easy to earn an A since he curves every exam and boost the minimum grade to earn an A at the end of the term. Most people don't attend and seem to do just well, however, I always attended his class and got an A. He's all over the place as far as notes but does give out a complete study guide before the exam, which will guarantee an A if you study it. Didn't get as much out of the class but I did see him on office hours, he's very knowledgeable.

Great Professor and very interesting class. Only prob for me was that it was bit disorganized and the class slides were very repetitive. With that been said, he makes the material very interesting and if you study his notes there is no reason not to get an A in the class. Material for test was very straight forward. No surprises. This was without a doubt the easiest class I have ever taken. Class was not mandatory and the grade consists of just 4 tests. I showed up just 5 times all semester, 1st day of class and the 4 tests and I got an A. The least amount of effort I have ever put in to a class, yet I still got a B. Only day you need to show up is the class before a test. The review he posts online is literally the test. If you actually study and show up to class you can easily pull an A. If you're looking for an easy class to fill the science requirement this is it!

Professor Long is a sweet guy and will help anyone to do well in his class. His class is extremely easy if you study his study guides.He is a bit scattered with his lectures but he is quite knowledgeable about anthropology! He gives a lot of curves, its almost impossible to fail unless you dont read or study his study guides.

Honestly, the class was so easy. He curves most tests a couple points and provides detailed study guides. Don't even waste your time buying a book. If you have knowledge of what this class is all about prior to taking it, you will easily get an A using his study guides alone.

Its a good and easy general education class to take in order to fulfill one of your requirements. There are only four exams and five pop quizzes. The book is useless, just look online for exam reviews. Class attendance is not required. I think the videos help connect the lectures together.

Easy, easy A. Highly recommend if you want an easy Gen Ed. He gives powerpoint reviews for you to study before each test. DO NOT GET THE TEXTBOOK. I rented mine and didn't even open it once, because the reviews are all you need.

Professor Long is a great professor. His tests are pretty straightforward as long as you study the notes available on webcourses. You can cram if you need to and he gives extra credit towards the end of the semester. You should use the textbook to study for some of the test but you wont need it much.

He's a great professor and very knowledgeable! It's pretty much just ppt lectures, notes and test reviews which are helpful. He also puts the reviews online to look at so make sure to study those!!! But if you're very interested in anthropology, he's a great professor for any of those classes.

This professor was so great! The class is really interesting- you don't have to show up every day if you don't want to. It's definitely easier if you attend for lectures & review, though.He has a cute sense of humor & even joked about not having a Hotness Pepper on here! DON'T GET THE BOOK! Absolutely easy class(Human Species), take it for Gen Ed. Boring lectures, but has its amusing moments. Nice guy. Very into Human Species. Take this class! Test are pretty much word for word from practice tests. Just look over it and you will be fine. No assignments just tests. Easy A for sure. Don't buy any textbooks you literally don't use them.

This professor is great, you do not neccesarily need to show up for class since all the powerpoints are online but would still be helpful to go to class. He usually ends the class within 30-45 mins when it is supposed to be 1 hour and 50 min class. Really funny and interesting as well as easy tests! Do not need book!!! Super nice guy and helps out!

Really easy class, Professor Long teaches from the PowerPoint and his tests are also based of the PowerPoint. The textbook is not a necessity. I'd recommend you go to class because during the lecture he'll emphasize what's on the test. Definitely show up the class before the test because he has a practice test that's pretty much the actual test.

Professor Long is an all around great guy. Cares about his students and makes you laugh every time you walk in. The class was rather easy, and I would definitely recommend him. Will be taking him again for Human Species.

Don't buy the textbook, and you don't have to go to class. all of his lecture notes are online, so there's no point of going. Although, if you do wanna go to class, he does give a lot of hints to the test questions.

Easiest science gen ed you can take. First off - DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. It's a waste of money. He says that there will be pictures from the book on the tests but there never is. You can skip every class and still get an A on tests because his tests are exactly like the review PowerPoint he creates. Also puts lecture PowerPoints online.

His tests are very straightfoward along with the material he gives you throughout the semester. Read through his notes a couple of times leading up to the test and you'll an A for sure. To be honest, I'm disappointed in anyone who gets anything below a B.

The kind of professor I like. He is nice, ends early on fri, has movie days, helps out a lot. I went up with a question and he gave me the answer in a cute grandpa kind of way. I did study though, so you won't get an A without at least studying a day or two before. Test are the lectures, never read a chapter and got an A. Final helps, take it.

Loved him! He's funny and shows videos. Attendance isn't necessary, he just reads and further explains his PowerPoints online so I seldom attended lectures. DEFINITELY go to the review class before an exam! Fill out the study guides & memorize them. You'll ace the 4 exams because exam questions come from the study guides. You don't need the book.

Prof Long is cool, but he's suuuuuuper boring. I only went to class for the tests since he puts everything online. A waste of my time, but personally he's a great guy and he knows his stuff, just not the best lecturer.

Long has changed his teaching style and is not as easy as everyone said he was. However he is still very easy compared to other teachers at UCF. 4 exams and optional final. But gives a very generous curve. Take him if you can. You won't regret it. He is the bomb!

George Long is NOT a difficult teacher. His tests have gotten a bit harder in the past year but if you read the powerpoints, you are guaranteed to get an A. He also provides extra credit AND a completely unnecessary curve. No one should be complaining about George Long because he is THE man.

Very, very easy class. Took in the summer, only 3 tests. He allowed retakes but this isn't always the case from what I hear. He gives you old test questions and powerpoint which are exactly what the test is on. Its not required to show up to class, but the days I missed, I found the powerpoint difficult to follow. No need to buy the textbook.

I really liked professor Long, he was very nice and he always pulled cheesy jokes that I found funny. Attendance is not required, reading the chapters REALLY reinforces the lectures, but as long as you understand and review the power point notes you will pass his class. Tests are easy and they all come from the notes. I ended the class with an A.

Only 3 tests worth 50 points so you have to make sure that you study for them. His test are harder then before. Not an easy A but you can attain an A for the class if you study. You surley do not have to go to class but it is hard to follow the powerpoints after you have missed one. Again 3 tests no essay's to write!! Do Not Buy The Book.!!!!!

George Long is the cute grandpa you wish you had. He plays youtube videos in class and makes jokes about bands from the 60s. This is the easiest class I've ever taken. If you study 2 days before the test from the notes he posts online you'll get an A.

Overall this class was a basic gen ed credit. There are 4 tests and he curves your overall grade at the end of the semester. The tests are pretty difficult and you need to study but they are passable. I never attended class or read the textbook. Just study quizlets and go to the reviews and you should be fine. I ended up with a B in the class.

Very easy class to pass if you put in a tiny bit of effort. Total of 4 exams and an optional cumulative final to replace your lowest exam. My suggestion is to do well on the first four so you don't need to show up during exam week and can focus on more important classes. I only showed up the day before & day of exams and he rounds an 83.5 to an A!!

I took his class my first year and whenever he sees me he says hello. He still remembers me. He's a sweet man and tries to be funny. Laugh just to humor him!

Took physical anthropology with Long in spring 2016, super easy class. You do not need the textbook. I went to class everyday and studied about an hour for each test. Just read the powerpoints he puts online and you will be fine. Easy A

Professor Long is soooo great! Hilarious if you like cheesy jokes. Lectures can drag sometimes, but it's important to always go because he puts up "previous test questions" and says they won't be on the test, but really he just reverses the answer/question and puts that on there. Tests are SO easy if you are there on those days. Book helps too

This class is easy considering that it's a science credit. Just memories the PowerPoints word by word. Gives a lot of extra credit, he made my 80 into a B+. Nice guy!

He's funny, but in a dry & sarcastic way, he tries to keep interested since it gets boring. Overall I enjoyed it!

I was enrolled in Long's Human Species class for the Spring 2016 semester. My 69.5 was curved to a C+. Completely adorable guy. Lets you make up exams whenever works best for you. Lectures were usually a graveyard, don't bother. Don't waste money on a book either, his slides are all you will need. Overall, I enjoyed Long & would recommend him.

This class was an easy A as long as you show up (attendance isn't mandatory but it'll make your life a LOT easier). During his lectures, he specifically says what we need to know and what we don't need to know for the test. He gives out practice tests that are really similar to the test. He lets out early every day and the textbook wasn't needed.

Gives very generous curve at end. No one goes to lecture but when I did he was very funny and would give away test questions. Easy class if you study test questions he says in class and ones he posts online. if you don't do this though you won't pass.

However, he does give specifics on what will be on tests and sometimes what an answer might be on specific questions. Great class!

Professor Long's class is very upfront and straightforward! The grades are based off exams, and Professor Long provides practice exams before the actual exams. Type up the practice exams on PurposeGames, and they should be very good practice for the real exams. If you do that, you'll get an A even without his curve.

George Long is the best prof. at UCF. He's funny, easy to understand, and most of all he's easy. You don't need the book EVER, just take notes, he goes over the whole test beforehand so you really don't need to go to class. An overall great guy! I took all the classes he offered. You will not be disappointed.

Long is really nice. He posts his powerpoints but will tell you things to watch out for during exams in class. I attended class about 60% of the time and did just fine. 4 exams (1 being the "final") that are split among 3-4 chapters each. He hosts a review day the class period before the exams. As long as you keep up with the slides you will do ok.

This class was super easy. His classes are all lectures based off his powerpoints. I barley went to class only on class day before the exam and still passed with an A. Super easy, study the "old test questions" even though they're not the same exact ones on the test they're VERY similar so you'll do good.

Buying book is a waste of $60, he picks and chooses material so much you're better off only looking at the slides he posts. You don't have to go to class, but he often tells you questions or details directly on the test that you won't find on the power points. You'll either love or roll your eyes at his jokes but he's an overall a really nice guy.

Dr. Long has 4 exams throughout the year, all weighted equally with a slight curve. The course started off with pretty easy concepts that carried over from high school biology. However, the last two exams required you to know certain dig sites and scientific names. All presentations are online and good info on Quizlet.

This is probably the easiest class I've ever taken. Textbook isn't used and attendance wasn't necessary either. Literally just read through the slides, take notes, and do the practice tests and you'll get an A. The tests are REALLY similar to the practice tests so make sure you memorize that. He also curves grades at the end of the semester.

Overall a decent professor. You don't have to go to class each session, just make sure to take notes on the powerpoints he uploads for each exam, go to the class before each exam for example questions (I found those helpful). You probably won't need the textbook so don't bother, I didn't use one and got an A, just studied his powerpoints.

Boring class but he tries to make it enjoyable. I went to the first couple classes, then realized you can just go to the reviews before the test and do fine. Tests aren't too hard would recommend if you don't want to go to class and need a science credit.

The man is a legend, everyone should take him! You will learn more about life from taking one class of his than you would in an entire lifetime. He teaches beyond the course. Probably the hottest professor on campus too.

Highly recommend this teacher to anyone who needs an easy A. Power points are all online, and the tests are extremely easy if you actually study. Lectures can be boring, but he tries to make it as interesting as possible. Curves test grades. No homework, like at all. Don't bother buying the textbook, it's still sitting in my room unopened.
