Great guy w/ lots of enthusiam. Made class fun by incorporating profanity- which made me stay awake. Tests and quizzes are not that hard. BUT be careful w/ the term paper. Make sure u do exactly what he wants. I ended up w/ a B because of the term paper. Other than that, the class is not that hard overall.

Took his class during the summer; he talks for about half of the class, and video's are shown for the remainder. Don't take his class if cursing offends you. Learned a great deal from him, very informative. Lots of notes, copying them is optional; only a few tests & 1 paper. I recommend staying for the whole class even if the movies bore you.

His class is very straight forward, everything he talks about or outlines in his power point lecture is almost always going to be on the test. Make sure you pay attention to the movies he shows, because he does believe in pop quizzes.

I really like this guy, I've had him once for 17a, and now I have him for 17b. He's not boring (although his films are sometimes), he's well-informed, and he actually teaches in a way that makes sense. Very professional, and pretty easy going. Good teacher, good class.

Taking this class with Megenney was the best choice I've made lately in class selection. He is awesome, knows his information and his lecture's are much more informative than the book. Yes there is alot of note taking and a couple of dull movies, but he turns borning history into an adventure. Yes he may use some bad words, but it works very well!!

His class is interesting, because he is a good speaker. He is tough on grading the term papers,he grades like an english teacher. I got a B in his class but I learnt a lot in his class. He is not bad as a Hist teacher. I would recommend him.

He made each class exciting with his passion for history. He warned the class on the first day that he used choice terms and if it would offend you, you should take another course. There was a five page essay on the topic of your choice, and lots of extra credit on tests. His grading was upfront and fair.

I have enjoyed this class so much! He has a passion for the subjest which is evident in his style of teaching. His "down-to-earth" approach is refreshing, and his vocab is hilarious. I love history, and he put a fresh spin on it for me. I highly recommend this professor. Very few assignments. Just be there and you can ace it & STAY FOR THE FILMS.

He keeps the class interesting. Lecture is not boring at all. He plays movies almost every class & then may do extra credit pop quizzes on them. You have multiple options for the midterm. You can take an exam, do an art project, review a film, or do paper. I like his classes this is the 2nd one I've taken! RECOMMENDED!!

Prof. Megenney has so much passion for history - it's impossible not to enjoy this class! He gave us the notes, offered extra credit, answered all questions, allowed makeup exams, was accessible before and after class - all you had to do was come to class and learn - but it is important to stay for the video part of the class - he will test on it!

By far the best history class. this prof is fair with everything he does. the tests are challenging but if you attend class and stay through the videos you will pass the class. the videos definitely aid in understanding the material by presenting it in a different way. he offers EC opportunities, quizzes that cover the video from the previous class

One of the best teachers at Delta. He is very passionate about what he teaches. Notes are pre-printed and given to you at the begining of the lecture. Read your notes and you will do very well in the class.

This instructor truly has a love for history. I absolutely hated history before taking his course. He really makes the class interesting. I learned more about American history in one six week course with this instructor than I did in 12 years of school. Also, this guy is hilarious and will definitely keep your attention.

Never had to read one word out of a book. He e-mails you the class notes, which is all you really need to focus on. He provides study guide's for the quizzes, midterm, & the final is basically a take home test! He makes history fun & easy, enough said. You won't regret taking him. Trust. EASY A.

Enjoyed the class! He is very helpful, sticks to the syllabus & emails lecture notes. Attendance is important (some test questions come from videos shown in class). One paper - hint pay attention to his question/answer lecture style. Some essay test questions, but easy if you read & review notes. His colorful style will keep you awake.

He's an amazing and he is really funny teacher. He makes learning fun and easy to understand. His lectures are long, but stay and listen because it REALLY HELPS you. DO NOT LEAVE IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS CLASS, he hates it because it's really disrespectful. Overall, really fun and easy class if you open yourself and study hard.

It doesn't get much more straightforward. He emails study guides for quizzes, which end up being exactly what is on the quiz, so they feel like take homes. The midterm and final are only slightly more difficult; there are questions which aren't on the study guides, but so long as you've been going to class, it's doable. Plus, he's a funny guy.

Proffesor Megenney is hilarious. He makes lectures interesting and you actually learn in his class. He makes you WANT to come to class. Just do the few assignments and do your final exam study guide before the test and you're guaranteed an A.

Professor Megenney was great. He lectures through his notes and emails copies of them so it's more important to listen than write down everything. He goes over the essays thoroughly so, if you pay attention, you're bound to succeed. Very passionate and interesting lectures. Some of the questions on tests are from his films so take some notes.

I didn't read the book because I didn't have time and it was uninteresting and I passed, but it would have probably been beneficial. Overall a good teacher who cares.

I have Taken Megenney for 17A and 17B. He makes the lectures easy to understand and interesting. I love the mix of lecture and videos, especially for a long class. The tests we had were all take home, so he expects you to do a good job. He doesn't make you buy any materials and he sends the lectures.

Very good professor. Extremely understanding. Hard Quizzes and Test, but they are all take home quizzes/test. Even the assignments given as homework, he goes over with the whole class and basically give you all the answer to the questions. Follow the syllabus and you will definitely do great in his class. Professor Megenney is a great professor! I would definitely take more of his classes. He has a clear grading criteria and he follows the syllabus. The quizzes and midterm were all take home. The only thing that was in class was the final but he let us use a study guide. I got an A in the class so I would definitely recommend him.

Amazing Professor, truly makes learning history enjoyable. You have to write 3 primary source assignments which are fairly easy, and some take home exams. Funny guy also.

He goes out of his way to make learning simple and enjoyable. He usually emails the lectures to you but it's still important to go to class because he gives hw. The primary source assignments and exams were fairly easy because he goes over everything in class. I could easily say that he's been my favorite teacher at Delta so far. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!

He is an amazing professor. He understand that night classes are for those of us that work and/or go to school all day. He doesn't make you buy some crazy expensive textbook. He send all of his lectures to your email so you always have notes. We makes sure to do lots of group discussions and is overall just a really good professor!

Megenney's casual speech is in stark contrast with his formal attire- but he manages to make this profoundly relevant and underappreciated subject both informative and fun. He's totally a feminist, but in a very approachable manner. His teaching style is inspiring. Highly recommend taking his class.

SUPER EASY AND AWESOME PROFESSOR. There's weekly discussions, a midterm and a final. Also 3 HW assignments that you read a passage and answer 2-4 questions about it. Use the textbook on discussions and the tests and you'll get an A.

He is a good professor, I took him online and it was an easy class so easy I slacked off a little and ended up with a B in class sadly. there are weekly discussions and 3 primary resource assignments, 1 midterm and 1 final. the primary resource assignments were the ones that brought my grade down, also make sure to study for the midterm and final!!

Professor is a very funny guy. One book was required but I did not have to read it. maybe that why I got an B+. Which I'm fine with my grade. But I recommended everyone to take him. He super cool and less stressful too. The best part we get to take all our quiz and final home to take. Super amazing.

Very good professor. Gives really good feedback and grades. There are only two test in this whole course; midterm and final exam. Also, there are 11 discussions and 3 primary resource assignments. One thing I liked about this class is that we are given 2 attempts for both of the tests. You just need to study if u want the good grade. RECOMMENDED!!!

Professor Megenney was one of the best history teachers I have ever had! His readings are very interesting and assignments are really easy. If you put effort into them and follow guidelines, you'll excel in his class. If you read the books carefully, you'll do well on tests too. His gives feedback on all assignments and it is extremely detailed.

Your grade is from a discussion post each week, make sure you are citing from the text in each one for full credit! 3 primary source assignment and 2 exams all are easy! This has been one of the easiest and best classes ive taken! Highly recommend! Theres only 1 small extra credit so you need to follow directions to get FULL credit on things!!!!

He accepts late work if their was a clear reason that you were not able to finish the work in a week

His online class was very well organized, and one could work ahead even, making it very flexible for your schedule. I feel I learned a lot from class notes, links to videos he provided, and the book we read; the material was very interesting. The test was actually on the information from his lectures and did not feel "tricky" at all.

He's pretty chill, just read the book assigned and do the discussion and assignment every week and you'll pass. I would've gotten an A if I remembered to do the mid-term paper.

I learned so much from this class! The lecture notes the teacher provided were excellent, and the book we had to read for class was interesting and not overly difficult. The grading was straightforward and involved posting and replying on the message board. I thought the tests were easy too--I kept notes from the lectures and had done the reading.

If you are a hands-off learner this is the class for you. One chapter and discussion post per week. A few primary source assignments, one midterm and one final. Make sure you check out the chapter powerpoints, they help a lot for general understanding and tests. I had an A+ until I missed a 60 point assignment. Your grade reflects your effort.

Professor Megenney is knowledgeable so I recommend taking this class. Make sure to read and take notes. There are 3 primary sources, one midterm, one final and discussions. Keep up with the work and turn them in on time, as it affects your grade. He gives you enough time to turn the assignments in, so I shouldn't see a reason to turn them in late.

Professor Megenney course is one of the best I've taken. Its not boring and the assignments were really straight forward. One class discussion a week, on some weeks you have one extra assignment that isn't too hard.The midterm and final were very straight forward. Take this class if available.

He provides PowerPoints and books and makes sure you engage, grading and expectations were clear. The discussions, mid-term and final was not overwhelming. My favorite course so far!

I really enjoyed this class it was super easy. Not a crazy amount of homework just be prepared to read the book and you don't want to fall behind with the chapters because it will come in handy for your weekly discussion post. This class is great!! Every week there is a lecture with a short discussion post. The lectures are very interesting, and there is a textbook that goes more in depth. This class is honestly really easy, and definitely one of my favorite classes I've taken.

I would consider this a lighter class compared to others that i've taken. The professor is very laid back, but not in a lazy way, he lets you work at your own pace. Easy to get incontact with. Your grade will depend on discussion participation, 3 research assignments and final. No text book, but you will have to read a woman's history book.

The class was very straightforward. Syllabus is very clear on the grading system and guidelines for discussion boards. Discussion board and new chapter is unlocked every Sunday and closes every Friday. Each assignment has 3 questions you can choose from, and can be answered from the chapter of the book and the slides provided.

Absolutely loved the class. Great feedback on each assignment. Clear structure of the class. Kept it 100 and gave us assignments in advance so we could take care of business and wasn't a micromanager about everything. The book in the class was great and cheap. He has powerpoints with videos that give context. I learned and was empowered.

HIST27 (Women's History): This class has 10 discussions and 2 DBQs and they're super super easy! He provides slideshows and most of the answers are found there. The textbook is a must-have though, so make sure to find a pdf version of it and get your evidence from there. (Use control + F, thank me later).

This class was very user-friendly on canvas and very informative and fulfilling. You read the chapter for the week and answer the discussion prompt. He provides lecture slides as well that coincide with the chapter which are very useful as the chapters can get lengthy and very broad. He gives feedback which is very informative and helpful.Funclass!

Assignments were easy to follow and understand, clear grading, and provided good feedback. Lots of reading but the professor also provides notes to help cover large sections. I enjoyed taking this class and doing the work assigned, especially as it was a very balanced workload.

I took his women's history class last summer! He is very nice, supportive, and overall a great teacher. He seems to be really knowledgeable in history and a great teacher. I'll admit I wasn't too sure when I saw a man was teaching women's history but Professor Megenney changed that. IMO, It's so easy to pass his class and he accepts late work!

There are only 3 assignments in his class: discussion posts/replies, primary source assigments and a final. Late work is accepted, but not the primary source assignments! That's why I have a B :( I only missed one assignment out of everything on accident. they're open after the due date for some reason which is confusing. So don't miss it!!!

His class was very easy & he provided notes on each chapter which was helpful for when I used internet archive & it went down, & he does require quotes. I forgot what day the final was, my computer wasn't working so I had to use a friends. I asked the professor to extend the final AND HE DID he is literally the best professor ever so understanding!

Professor Megenney's HIST27 class is a great option to knock out a requirement. The coursework is straightforward, with mostly discussion posts and a few assignments. Engage with the readings and slides, and you'll do well. I found Unstuck AI really helpful for preparing for the exams on top of the class materials.

In this class you are required to do a reading every week on the history of women. He gives you good feedback on your posts. He also wants to really deepen your knowledge on the lesson. You need to manage your time correctly on the reading and carefully read the chapters. I found this class overall fun and interesting.

This was one of my favorite classes and I genuinely learned in this class. He cares very much about the education of his students. Just make sure to follow the rubric. He's not a harsh grader, he's just a clear one. If you don't display your understanding and follow the rubric of the assignment, you will not get a good grade.

Honestly one of the best history courses I've ever taken. I would happily take more classes with this professor anytime. He leaves detailed, helpful feedback on every submission and often quickly. His grading criteria is very clear and he adheres to it strictly. Overall incredible experience and I value the knowledge I gained in this class.

Took this class as a sumer course and LOVED it! I am not super into history but found myself loving the readings and lectures. He does an amazing job at grading fast and giving good feedback on ALL assignments. Super light discussions and only 2 major DBQs (easy aswell). I highly recommend! I took this course over the summer and the work consisted of 10- 13 different discussions and then 2 easy writing assignments. All the discussion questions were based off the book we read called Born For Liberty by Sara Evans, the professor has It uploaded as a pdf but I chose to get a paperback for myself to make the reading easier for me. Who would've thought a man would be an amazing professor for a Women in History course. He truly does care about teaching his students and really knows his stuff. You must try in this class, you cannot half ass your assignments. He also gives you feedback on how to improve!
