Great professor! Goes off topic sometimes, but funny. Expects a lot from his students, get familiar with him and he helps. Attendance mandatory. Heavy accent. Gives reviews for all the exams. Easy A if you do the work and study. Had him for lab also but, doesn't help much expects you to know before class so just study! Good luck!
This class is easy as long as you do the study guides and study. This professor needs to keep his opinions on how a student's should live their lives to himself, students should not have to worry about the professor judging their lives when they speak to him in his office.
As a teacher he was great. However, he needs to change his judgmental attitude towards students. If you fail a test he won't post your grade until you go to his office to talk to him about "what is going on", or in other words, until he judges you about the way you live your life. He doesn't realize that our life does not revolve around his class.
Ndeta is an "okay" professor. He does give reviews before each test, and sometimes even goes over questions that will be on the actual exam. He is a very opinionated professor and can seem rude at times. He will single people out during lecture. He does care for his students that do try. An A is obtainable.
Dr. Ndeta is a good professor, but VERY opinionated. He give reviews which you should really go to since he gives some answers and questions that will be on his exam. READ AND DO YOUR REVIEWS, DONT MISS CLASS, and if you have a job be prepared for him to tell you to "Prioritize:. He WILL help if you ask for it and he sees you trying.
Get ready to read... do his review questions and go to the review sessions. He helps you out alot. Make sure you pay attention in class. He's always ready to help you. Its not an easy A... he makes you work for it. As a lab professor he's even harder so MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION and dont miss any class. His reviews will help out alot.
Dr. Ndeta, has a strong passion for the subject he teaches and encourages students to take an active role in the learning experience. Be on time, read ahead, do all the reviews, go to the review sessions, do everything that is expected for A material and you'll get an A. He does not have a set schedule so ask when review sessions, tests, etc. are.
Dr. Ndeta's clinical micro class is by no means a walk in the park, to be successful it will require you to work. I am not saying that the class is hard, but your grade will reflect the time invested into it. There is also so many life lessons to be learned in this class, so listen up, Dr. Ndeta has truly impacted my life for the better.
Dr. NDETA is a great professor. He is very passionate in the subject of clinical microbiology. That being said, his exams are only easy if you. READ THE BOOK! If you read even a quarter of the upcomingnext chapter he will cover or just skim read it, you'll be far better off than if you didn't. Go to his office, he is definitely willing to help!
Microbiology is a tough subject but Dr. Ndeta makes it interesting. His lectures are very important. His tests are tough but if you study and read ahead you'll do great. I was in love with his review sessions, trust me you need to be at every review session. He's a great professor and I'd take him again if I could! Good luck, his class is awesome!
Read, study, go to SI sessions and exam reviews and you'll do fine. Dr. Ndeta is always available for his students and tries hard to help each of them. I'd recommend reading or at least skimming through the chapter before his lectures and he's also big on attendance. Good luck!
Having Dr. Ndeta as a professor was a privilege. He makes it a mission for his students to fully grasp the concepts and apply them to their career choice. I can honestly say, I learned a lot and by working hard I received an A in the class. I would highly recommend taking his course; it would be decision that would not be regretted.
I really enjoyed this class. It is not an easy A but it is possible. Before every exam (4 plus final) he provides study guides for each chapter and the questions on the exam comes from the study guides. He also provides review sessions so make sure to go to those for every exam and final. Study groups are very helpful and his door is always open.
Dr. Ndeta is by far my favorite professor at UTPA. His class is not easy. You must read & want to excel in the subject. There is no reason for you to not do good. Take advantage of the study questions his exams are based on them. Don't take it lightly go to SI sessions. Go talk to him in his office & show interest he has no time for games. LOVE HIM
Dr. Ndeta is the kindest man at UTPA. His lectures are very informative, full of life examples that helps you remember & retain information. Study questions are key so DO THEM & go to study sessions!!! He truly cares about you, will work with you. Don't make excuses. I took my final with him at 39 weeks pregnant. Amazing class, amazing professor.
Dr. Ndeta is an amazing man. He truly cares for his students and wants everyone to strive to be the very best they can be. His office is always open to anyone. He's a very inspirational and respected man.
He is very passionate about his subject! His tests are very fair, so it is almost impossible to get less than an A if you use all of the resources provided: study the review, go to SI sessions, keep up with your group. Make time for this class, if possible avoid scheduling a class immediately after as his lectures can run late.
It's a microbiology class so the material can be difficult. But if you put in the time to study and go to class you should pass. He gives reviews for every chapter and has a review before his examsquizzes. He was always in his office when I stopped by and he will notice if you're putting an effort in the class. In general a caring professor.
Dr. Ndeta is a really good professor who is passionate about his work. Go talk to him and he listens and will help you out as much as possible. His accent makes him hard to understand and he's confusing. Pay attention and ask questions, micro gets difficult if you don't.
Took Dr. Ndeta for microbiology 2429 spring semester of 2015. He was very helpful and understanding. One of the best professors I've been fortunate to take. He hands out study guides for each exam and it is very vital for you to pick up and study! If you do that, you will pass. Takes attendance and notices who puts effort in class.
Best professor i have ever taken !!! If you have the chance to take him DO IT!! He gives reviews sessions and he is always willing to help you, his test are easy if you study the reviews:) he is so passionate about his subject and he teaches in a way that you will fall in love with microbiology!! He makes class interest and super fun!
He has been one of my greatest Professor's. He is very clear about every topic in Microbiology . He also gives reviews once a week, and it is important to go because it helps you a lot on your exam and he also counts that as participation, and he also gives a study guide for each chapter. If would take Microbiology again, I would pick Dr. Ndeta.
Dr. Ndeta is one of those professors that you will admire for the rest of your life. Yes, it's microbiology and no, it's not easy but its professors like him that make studying worth it. in order to succeed in this class you have study before class and study after class in order to get an A. Overall one of the BEST professors that UTRGV has!
He gives out reviews
Wonderful professor, always willing to help and answer questions. His review session are long but very helpful make sure to assist them! Ask questions and stop by his office, he recognizes a hard working student when he sees one. Only down side is that he would do his review session on Friday's at 5:00pm other than that everything else was great.
Professor Ndeta is one of the best professors here at UTRGV. He is absolutely passionate about his work and is very willing to help his students. The tests are not that hard if you go to his reviews and you pay attention in class, he is very funny sometimes which helps to remember the material. This class is not an easy one.
He's a great professor. He is passionate about teaching and he genuinely wants the students to succeed not only in class but in life.
Dr. Ndeta is one of the best professors I have had. He cares about his students and is there for you. He can be a little intimidating at first since it is not an easy A but believe me he is very friendly. Go talk to him during office hours it helps. He will give you review for each chapter, has review sessions, and has an SI so and A is attainable.
Dr. Ndeta is such a great professor. Very interesting course!! His class consisted of 4 exams & the comprehensive final, 2 case studies, & 2 quizzes. The class is not easy. Read before class, print PwrPnts, take notes, review things you didn't understand in class, attend his reviews & go to the SI Sessions. Do this & you will likely get an A. :)
Amazing professor! He tries his best to accommodate to the students (reviews help a lot with exams, so try and go to them!). Interesting lectures & reviews might be long but he tells funny stories to keep you awake. :) Class isn't an easy A, work hard for it & try your best. Review over info you dont know & ask questions most likely to get an A
Dr. Ndeta is one of the best professors at UTRGV. He gives study questions, reviews, has office hours and is willing to help you as much as possible. It's not an easy class, therefore you will have to put from your part by reading, printing the power points, and studying. There is no reason why anyone should get anything lower than an A or a B.
He is a really nice person and good professor. He cares students very much! You should ask questions and read the book. It was a good experience for me.
You must read and be prepared for class and lab. Dr. Ndeta explains his lecture in detail, they are lengthy as he tries to make sure his students can understand the material. He has helpful review sessions for every test, which you should take advantage of. He is there for his students and overall and awesome professor!!
Excellent discussions.... He makes you see how interesting and important microbiology is in the nursing field!
One of the best professor at utrgv ! He is kind and extremely helpful there is no way you would get a grade lower than a B so just study hard and attend to class !
Very helpful and kind professor. He does all he can to help you if you just ask questions. READ THE TEXTBOOK! He gives you all the resources you need to get the A, you just have to do your part to read and review. 4 tests 1 comprehensive final with questions made up from 25 questions from each past test.
Are we talking about the same prof? He's a good lecturer (thick accent), and is a nice man and means well but he also gets in his moods and takes it out on you. He expects you to be on your toes when asked a question so you should read and understand the material, it's all related from day 1 to the final (comprehensive). Takes attendance.
Great Professor! He is very nice&takes attendance serious. Very helpful. What I like is that he learns almost everyone's name. You are going to use the text book&expects you to take it to class. He has an accent, but you can always read the book and ALWAYS DO THE STUDY GUIDES, they are super helpful. He is always available.
Great professor and really helpful! If you are willing to put in the effort, you'll easily pass. Highly recommend this professor for microbiology!
Awesome professor. He is very knowledgeable. Got o class, pay attention, read and study. You must work for your grade. This class is awesome if you truly want to learn.
Great Professor! He Takes his attendance serious. Great attitude towards lectures. Very helpful. What I like is that he learns everyone's name. You are going to use the text book, he does expect you to take it to class. ALWAYS DO THE STUDY GUIDES, they are extremely helpful. Always available
Great professor !
At first he seems intimidating but he's nice in his own way. There's 4 exams and a final comprehensive exam. I took his clinical microbiology class. The questions are very clear and easy to understand as long as you studied. His review sessions are really good.
This isn't a class where you can expect an A and not work for it. Ndeta is willing to help you if you're willing to put in the work and effort. He does hand out review questions for his exams & has review sessions. There are 2 quizzes, 4 exams and a final. No exams get dropped. All in all really good professor! Read and study and you'll get an A!
Really good teacher helps with everything, have to pay atgenttion, i really enjoyed this class
Dr. Negdeta is a good professor. There are a total of 5 exams, and 2 quizzes. In order to get an A one needs to study and read. He would help you out but needs to see your effort. Overall recommend taking him.
Professor cares about students gaining an understanding.
Very easy, manageable class. If you're a nursing major, definitely consider taking.
He knows what he's talking about. He would side track a lot, and it wasn't even about stuff he was lecturing about.. it was to get mad at someone for "not writing" or not having their book in class. If he knows your name - beware. He WILL call you out. Be ready to study A LOT. If you don't study, you will not pass! And he will tell you this!
He's an okay professor, if you study what he tells you to, youll be fine. 4 tests plus a final, he has review days to help prepare for the upcoming tests. definitely go to his office hours. Uses a program to take attendance and at the end will count towards final grade.
Dr. Ndeta is very helpful if you do the work. He genuinely cares about his students' success in his class and inspires them to improve their work in the classroom. I cannot stress enough that the tests are really simple if you do the study guides, read as you go along and jot down notes as he is lecturing. An A is very much attainable
Needed a clicker for attendance. The experience was fantastic and was very much dedicated to helping out students in every way possible.
He can have his jokes, 4 exams 3 quizzes and 1 final. You have to purchase Tophat for attendance which is mandatory. Go to his reviews and study, they will help for the exam. Says he'll curve your grade depending on your attendance and tutoring attendance. Does have an accent, but if you read the book you will be fine.
Solid professor. He has a great personality, very humble and concerned about students. He can go overboard though (like an over-concerned father complex). The material is about moderate difficulty. Read your book as much as possible and get his study questions. He bases his tests off his study questions.
Amazing professor! He truly cares about his students' success. Lectures his pwr pts that are available online to print and bring to class, but he also goes into detail on the topics and makes real world connections to bring relevance. He strives to be the best at what he does and hopes to rub off on all of his students. Also, has a sense of humor.
He will respect you as long as you take his class seriously and you will pass if you attend class and pay attention.
So fun having him as my professor, really enjoyed his class. :)
This man made this class worth the trouble. He is very passionate about Microbiology and encourage his students to succeed and be the best that you can be. His tests are super easy if you read the PPTs and do his study guides. Go to the SI so he can curve your grade. Overall a great teacher and person!
He's funny, he's interactive, and he wants his students to succeed. That said, he's not going to hand you the A on a silver platter. Dr. Ndeta gives lengthy and info-packed lectures, but coupled with the chapter reviews, doing well on the exams is completely in your hands. Study groups really help in this class, so don't be afraid to team up!
Dr. Ndeta is a great professor who truly cares for his students future and well being. He can be a little tough at times but once you get to know him you see how awesome he really is. When he says get a group in order to pass his class he means it so choose wisely. However if you ever get stuck or need advise, he is always there.
Dr. Ndeta is the kind of professor that actually cares for his students. He is funny while at the same time he is caring. I had him for both lecture and lab. And he does not give out tests unless he has given a study session. The subject is hard so you have to study, make sure to go to the study sessions. But overall he is a great professor.
Professor Ndeta is a very caring man who is always available outside of class if you have any questions, his class is an easy A if you use the studying materials he provides. He has a thick accent so pay close attention to what he says. There was about 5 exams with 50 multiple choice and two fairly easy study cases with 20 multiple choice.
Amazing professor! He cares about each and everyone of his students. He can go off at times during lecture, but every thing he says has a meaning. I also took him for lab and it was fairly easy. The book is mandatory, his lectures come directly from the book. His reviews are exactly how the exams will be.
He is a good teacher. He might be difficult to understand during lecture due to his accent but just read the chapters and attend the SI sessions and his exam study sessions and you will do fine. The SI sessions really help since the SI instructor took Dr. Ndeta previously and knows the type of questions he asks and has useful games.
Dr. Ndeta is an awesome professor but i do recommend to talk to him constantly because he kind of does play favorites, If he asks a question be sure to answer because it will go a long way in getting the grade that you want. Test are not difficult at all, just make sure to read the book and read over the powerpoints!
I love Dr. Ndeta!!!! He cares so much about this students. If you visit his office, he gives you the best advice. He has a strong accent, but after awhile you get used to it. His exams are like the reviews, so make sure you study them. There are 4 exams and a final. I would definitely take him again. I strongly believe he is the best professor!
Dr. Ndeta is an incredible professor! He truly cares for his students and only wants the best for them. He is extremely knowledgeable in the study of microbiology. Do the study guides he gives out and you will pass! He sometimes lectures about things other than micro, but he does it because he cares. I will always recommend him!
Dr. Ndeta ia an amazing professor who really cares for his students. I would definitely take him again. I would recommend reading before class to understand the material he goes over. The book is required and gives reviews for the exams. An A is achievable in this class if you do what your told to do. He loves when students participate in lectures!
The subject itself is hard, but Dr. Ndeta is the absolute best at explaining it! He gives out review questions, which are really similar to his exams. I would suggest reading the book before class because sometimes he goes fast. He loves when students engage with the material and particpate during class. An A is obtainable if you put in the effort.
This is a tough subject but Ndeta is super helpful towards his students! He was honestly the most considerate proffesor I've ever had. He cares a lot about his students and makes sure you understand the material. Got an A, I had to study a lot but the material was interesting to me! Recommend his class, overall the best professor!
This is a difficult subject, however, this professor breaks it down into sections following the textbook. He will post up videos and lecture as you are able to follow along with your PowerPoints. Then at the end of a chapter he will give a review, which if you study that review you can expect to get an A in the class.
He's a great teacher that cares about his student's academic success. He's lectures are pretty interesting as some of the things he says are relevant to the quizzes and exam even though you don't think so, so make sure you listen! Either than that he likes to know his students individually and really understands the potential in each one of us.
Dr. Ndeta is incredibly humorous and always makes sure that his students fully understand the concepts that he presents within each lecture. He likes students who are ahead in their readings and those who are consistently participating when he asks questions. Very strict with attendance, but overall, great!
Dr. Ndeta cares about his students and he makes an effort for everyone; he posts lecture videos and gives review questions for his exams. Although he's strict sometimes, Dr. Ndeta means well and he wants to help his students to reach their full potential.
Professor Ndeta genuinely cares about your grades and is willing to help you along the way but will not deal with lazy students. He's always available to meet, has SI sessions, and holds review sessions before every exam that are very helpful! The class itself is difficult, but he makes it to soooo easy to obtain an A! He's also very funny!
HE IS A GREAT TEACHER. I REALLY ENJOYED HIS CLASS, LECTURES. HE CARES ABOUT HIS STUDENTS AND REALLY WANTED US TO LEARN. I WISH HE TAUGHT OTHER CLASSES, I WOULD MOST DEFIANTLY TAKE HIM AGAIN.
This is the first time I rate a proffesor so you know he is an amazing instructor. Dr. Ndeta pushes you to be outspoken and to be confident in yourself. He is willing to talk to his students and really cares about them. He is very passionate about Microbiology and I learned so much about the subject and what it takes to be successful.
Dr. Ndeta is the best professor out there! He is passionate about Microbiology and really wants every student to succeed in his class. The subject itself is difficult but his reviews are really helpful!
HE WAS SO AMAZING! His class is not difficult if you read. But get ready to read. He does not give out easy grades. His reviews for the exam are very clear. You study the review and you should get an A. You just need to put in a lot of effort because it is a science class. He is by far so inspirational and one of the best teachers I have ever met!
He's honestly a very caring professor. He wants everyone to succeed, and likes those who participate in class. Make sure to do the reviews because they help a lot for the exams. I'm really gonna miss being in his class, he was such a great professor.
Such a caring professor! May seem tough at first, but he only wants you to try your hardest. Attend every class and you should be able to get an A!
Professor Ndeta is a great professor! He may be tough on you through out the semester but only because of how much material there is to learn. His exams are not as difficult but they are not easy either! He loves when people engage in the class and is he loves what he teaches. If you want an A in the class, then you should study for it.
This Course is amazing and very interesting. You must read the book and study the study guides provided by Dr. Ndeta & work with in groups to get good grades and you must go to the reviews he does. Dr. Ndeta is very caring and trys to get to know all his students. Dr. Ndeta is by far one of my greatest professors! I recommend taking this course!
Ndeta is such a good prof. He is caring and funny! Study the study guides, show up to class and you can get a good grade. If you go to his office hours you will see that he really cares for his students and wants them to succeed. I would definitely take him again.
Incredibly difficult. Be prepared to study a lot, but it's not impossible. Curriculum must have been revised, which has led to significant updates in the course. I'm not one to shy away from a challenge, but this class pushed me to my limits.
Get ready to read. If I can summarize the class in one word, it would be "reading". The class is extremely interesting, albeit very hard if you're unprepared. You may have some difficulties adjusting to this class, but the key is to pay attention to the guides and spend a good amount of time reading the textbook.
I had a great time in this class, but I just had to apply myself. If you thought anatomy was hard, you haven't seen anything yet. The class will break you if you don't go in ready to hit the ground running. It may seem overwhelming at first, but if you stick with it, you'll be fine. Tests can be tricky, but just read the chapters several times.
Super difficult. You need to devote alot of time to study otherwise you will not pass. The tests are very difficult and I normally do well in medical-based science classes, but this one too the cake. Don't give up, but I recommend taking this class with someone else.
Make sure you visit office hours and do the extra SI sessions. The class was tough but you have to seek help outside of class. I would start brushing up on your microbiology before you take his class because he's a hard instructor. His method is very dry and his tests are brutal.
I'm not sure what happened. I went on thinking it will be a breeze but that wasn't the case. The instructor can come is as rude and he will ignore your emails. I overhead him tell a female student that she should try reading. I passed but not without working hard. I'd suggest someone else.
Take with someone else if possible. Not the most helpful professor and the course is tough. Tried to access his office after class and he was never available.
Professor Ndeta is very caring, but his methods of teaching came off as difficult to learn. He asks you to read a good amount and it's often hard to pinpoint what an exam will bring. The exams are very challenging, but as long as you take time to study and do the SI sessions, you'll do great! Just hit the books!
All I can say is wow. Very rude and one of the most stressful classes I've taken. Tutoring is your only hope to get a high grade. I recommend someone else, but if you want to stick with it good luck. Read the chapters carefully.
Just need to take the time to go-to SI sessions and study more. Yes, it's hard, but it's not impossible. Yes, you have to be willing to put more time in this class compared to your others but it's doable.
Be prepared to dedicate your semester to this course. I wouldn't schedule any of your major's classes near this one as it can siphon your attention and performance away. The teacher is helpful if you can get to him outside of class.
Regret taking this course. I had a great GPA and this class just torpedoed it with the sheer amount of studying I had to dedicate towards it just to pass.
Challenging. The exams are scary and some of the stuff you study won't appear on them, beware! The best way to counteract this is to read everything. Every part of the chapters. Do not let nothing go unstudied. Anything is fair game on the tests.
Lost track of the amount of times I cried in this class. I wish I could retake to get a better grade, but they said it wouldn't even affect my major positively. The class was very difficult and the tests were impossibly hard.
Honestly, I'd hold off until you can get someone better. Class can be excruciating if you aren't prepared. Get ready to read an entire medical book from cover to cover. Even then, it's very hard.
Painful. Puts you through a meat-grinder. Have to retake because how awful I did the first time but I'll definitely go with someone else.
Tutoring is mandatory if you want to pass. I have to admit, even doing so well in my anatomy courses, this one took away a bit of my confidence. The readings are vital for success. The book will be your best friend throughout this rigorous course.
Can be sorta mean, but most doctors kinda are. Very intelligent man, seems like one of the top in his field. So he probably expects the same of his students. Get ready for a real college course. Even though it was hard, I'm glad I took it because it wake you up to the rigors of the medical field.
Good professor, but difficult. Will make you earn that grade. Had to give up my weekends to focus on this class, but it's one of the most satisfying feelings ever when you pass this class. You will rejoice like you just got accepted into Heaven.
You need to study hard. Period. There's no slacking with this course. This will be your ultimate test to see if you're made for medicine. Makes it feel like an actual Nursing course.
Take with someone else. Yes, the class is hard, but it's more than just that. The professor recommends tutoring sessions but they are essentially mandatory because of the work load. Anything found in the book is fair game so you need to read extensively to prepare yourself for the exams.
Let me just say that the book is mandatory even if it's considered "optional". There will be questions straight out of the book so scanning every page is recommended. The teacher expects you to know basic anatomy and physiology so be sure to brush up as a plus. Come to class prepared to learn, do not slack, and you should do fine.
One of the hardest teachers, not even exaggerating. I did very well in A&P1 and 2, and this class just took it to the next level. I'll probably do Gen Bio for my next semester because I didn't like the grade I got for this course. The teacher can be rude, beware, just make sure you study up and be prepared for class.
Dr. Ndeta is truly compassionate about this class, and does care about his students. He wants you to succeed, and anyone who says its too difficult is lying! He helps you, and meets you half way, always wants the best for his students. He is always available, and does have study reviews before exams. Tutoring is not required, study and its an A!
Best Professor I've ever taken hands down. He really wants all of us to succeed and wants the best for ALL of his students. This is not a class where you're just going to have the grade handed to you, effort from your part is needed and he will 100% do everything he can to help you. He's always available during office hours.
Ndeta was has been the greatest professor Ive had so far. Its a lot of material so be prepared to study. He is always available during his office hours and is very clear as to what he expects from his students. You can get an A if you attend his review session and go to SI. I would definitely take him again.
He really is one of the few professors out there that genuinely cares about his students and their success. His class was challenging but he literally goes above and beyond to have an SI tutor for the class and review sessions. He's available during office hours and loves to get to know his students better. An A is possible if you study hard for it
He is tough at first, but only because he cares. He wants you to succeed and for his students to be the best they can be. He also encourages "thinking outside of the box". The material is difficult, but there are plenty of materials to help you succeed. He comes off as a very strong personality, but he is good people. You will get what you put in.
uses Tophat, I rented the book and bought the pdf, just buying the pdf will suffice, Go to the si sessions. as they help a lot, two group case study's and two online quizzes
This class does hit the ground running. If you put in the work the grade is yours. He is very understanding and will work with you if you show clear effort. Do not miss assignments. Groups work does happen. ALWAYS BRING YOUR BOOK!
I loved this class. The Professor is fun and entertaining, as well as informative. Read the assigned chapters and the tests will be easy.
Ndeta is very caring, and if you have him for lab he remembers your name. He seems tough and scary the first two weeks, but he is actually very kind and wants nothing but the best for his students. Go to class and STUDY, and you should be fine. if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask him. I would definitely take his class again!
He is very good professor. There is only two case studies and two quizzes online. He has reviews for exams. As long as you put in effort and study hard you will get an A.
He has a strong personality, but he really cares for his students and encourages for everyone to be their best. You will get what you put in.
Dr. Ndeta is a BLESSING! TRULY cares about his students, and wants you to always be the best. Study like your life depends on it! I read all the chapters, did all the reviews, and went to all the SIs. Extremely tough course. Ask questions in class no matter how tough he may seem. I sat in front always, he knew my name. He is a blessing! GOT AN A
Dr. Ndeta's is INSPIRATIONAL. One of the kindest souls. His course was Extremely difficult! I READ all the chapters, did all the reviews, went to all the SI sessions and exam reviews. It was still so tough! Study like your life depends on it. Ask questions even if he may seem gruff. He truly cares! Exam heavy, and lab was difficult as well. Study!
This class pushes you to work for your grade and ask questions. Attending class, reading the textbook, and doing the chapter review questions is key to succeed in this class. Dr. Ndeta encourages you to ask questions and is more than happy to help you during office hours. Overall, one of the most rewarding classes and professor Ive taken!
An inspirational individual who encourages students to treasure knowledge as true power. He has lengthy lectures but SI is helpful if you didn't understand the material. There are 4 tests plus a final exam with 2 case studies throughout the semester (takes attendance through tophat). A challenging but do-able class with a passionate teacher
Taking during coronavirus- Dr Ndeta has been the least helpful. He is harder than in person & seems like he does not care about students. Takes days-weeks getting back to an email & IF he replies he is rude. Does not make directions clear& fails to send important info. To sum up the mess we took about 3 exams in 2 weeks. Confusing & bad instructor
I took Dr. Ndeta online because of COVID-19 and he was an alright professor, he is just not that great with technology so the course was confusing as times. You get 2 case studies, 3 exams, and a final. Because everything was online, we did not have any lectures, just recordings to go over. I recommend attending SI sessions, they helped a lot!
Worst professor I've ever had. He was unorganized, never replied to emails, never opened exams when he said he would, and was rude. Do NOT take Clinical Microbiology with this professor.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. Its very hard to contact him, hes very rude not helpful at all. I took him online he was the most unorganized professor Ive ever had. He doesnt follow his own syllabus. Doesnt notify students about time changes for exams.
This is an easy course. However, Dr. Ndeta's lack of computer and communication skills will leave you lost and unsure of what is due next. His expectations are never clear. Consequently, students will fail an easy course due to lack of structure. Do not take his online course!!!
Online version of the course is very disorganized. His syllabus does not match up with the way the course is laid out, and his lack of transparency and clear communication makes it difficult to know if you are doing everything correctly, when things are due. Uses Top Hat for the course but no where listed in syllabus. Do not take with him.
This was by far the most unorganized course I have ever taken at UTRGV. You do not know what is going on half the time, he doesn't follow his own syllabus, is rude if you bring up the confusion caused by this, gives updates in Zoom meetings but doesn't save them. You miss a meeting because of work and have no idea what is due. Waste of money.
