Great Teacher highly recommend! He was funny, nice, was very helpful, and he has easy exams, HOWEVER he is a tough grader, so if your thinking about slacking off on the writing, I wouldnt take this class.

Dr.George is easy. His quizes are almost all MC and his test are short answers w/ an essay, but he lets you use an index card! He wants you to get an A and its a fun class. Take him if you get a chance he's cool.

Go to class, listen and take notes on a very interesting and unique lecture, take a short quiz and go home. Repeat steps 1-4 until a thought paper and a test. Included in the syllabus is a detailed description of what he plans on covering every week and if you miss class, the notes will be on his web page. I thoroughly enjoyed the class!

Great teacher! Super funny guy. Although he made his jokes, he always stayed on topic in class and made the class super fun. Class dropout rates are usually high for history (at least in the classes I've taken), but only one person dropped his class for the entire semester. If you want to pass his class...he will definetly help you. A+ teacher

Not bad, not too much work, not too boring. (summer sesh) Keeps with the flow of discussion but doesn't get sidetracked. Didn't ever have to bring books class, quiz everyday at the end of the power point. One quiz with "surprise i know you're probably not reading" question (The Hitler Myth)where almost the whole test was that question.But worth it!

One of the most informative people I have ever met. Dr G knows what he is talking about. A human encyclopedia. Class was not a given A, but it was the most satisfying class I have ever taken. Would highly recommend, if you like history or not. I am a history major and this is the best class I have ever taken, at bcc or at my university.

Excellent professor with an unbelievable amount of knowledge of Russian history. This class required more than a pulse to pass; 8-10 pg. final paper. Absolutely worth it, though, if you're a major, or have any interest in the particular field. The class transfers as a 300-level to Montclair State University.

took history 107..very interesting class. uses powerpoints and teaches the class in a presentation sort of way. If u pay attention in class and take notes you'll do fine. Ive never used my book, probably should have, but never did horrible on quizzes from just paying attention and taking notes in class.

Such a great class!! It's not so much that Dr. George is an EASY teacher, but more that he is a GOOD teacher - so the material learned and tests seem pretty effortless (and i never bought a book). Besides the fact that he is super cute, he incorporates his sense of humor to the lesson which helps understand and remember points from the powerpoint.

Dr. George is definitely one of the BEST and most AMAZING professors @ brookdale. I took him for 105 and 106. He places emphasis on the SIGNIFICANCE of historical events so be sure to take notes when he says "and the significance of this is..." I loove hist anyway but I guarantee that u will leave his class with a higher level of interest in hist.

Dr. George is the man! He's really laid, making jokes and waking up the material with a "what really happened" kinda twist. He'll always answer questions and he's very approachable. This is for Contemporary World History. I wish all my professors were like him. He mixes humor and thought perfectly each class. There is a lot of writing and continent map quizzes. It's good to see a professor come to class knowing his stuff.

Good guy, funny great teacher but really slow with grading and pretty much with everything. If you email him expect to wait about 5 days and it is still possible that you don't even get a reply. Maybe had a bad few months, still take him you won't regret it.

Straight up Dr. George is the best teacher ive ever had and has a real passion for the material he covers in class. he isn't too demanding, however you have to care to get a decent grade. he gives you very thorough feed back on your papers and definately provides a very laid back, interesting atmosphere to learn some history in. i love the guy! :^)

Had Dr. George for HIST 106 & 107- AWESOME. Funny, not too much work though you do learn. Reading and attendance are mandatory to pass weekly quizzes, and note taking is vital for papers (3-4 per semester); papers are not difficult. Let's class out ASAP. A funny professor. He'll make you crack a smile every now and then, while he slips in a few jokes within his lecturing. Reading and taking notes down from the powerpoint presentations helps in doing well on quizzes and his essay-exams. He does have a way with livening up history.

Before I took Dr. George's class (world civ2) I had no interest in history AT ALL. After only a few classes I really started to enjoy history SO MUCH that I changed my major. I even took another class Dr. George was teaching because I enjoyed his class so much. He is extremely intelligent AND funny. doing the reading + paying attention = A

I took Dr George's western civ II online and it was the most well run class I have taken yet. Everything was extremely clear, organized and fair.He also gave brief power point lectures that really enhanced the online experience. If you have a hard time getting interested in History this is a great one to take.

I have never had an interest in history and this guy had me on the edge of my seat. He made history so interesting. We were given quizzes daily, but he went over all the material before giving the quiz. His exams were take home and he gave you a week to do them. AMAZING teacher!

Easy world history class if you have half a brain. Guy knew how to keep his lectures entertaining and on topic; easily the best professor I've had at this school. I am so burnt out by then, but he finds a way to keep me engaged. I never dread going there, regardless how tired or late in the day it is for me. Ironically, it's become my favorite class this semester:)

I've never liked history since elementary school nor have I gotten above a C. His class changed all of that. He keeps things super interesting, relates things to what's going on in the world around you, and as long as you go to class (and stay awake) and do the readings before class, you'll get an A, I promise! I took this class over the summer and I thought I wasn't going to do so well since History isn't one of my strong subjects. Dr. George is a great professor, he is one of my favorites. He's very funny and passionate about history which helped make this class a lot more bearable. I took him over the summer so we had quiz each class which was kind of annoying but they're super easy and only 2 papers. George is a great professor. I took his class online and it was incredible. He grades based off of open-book online quizzes and discussions. The two exams are papers. He is an easy grader and puts so much work into his online lectures. I would take this class over and over again. He also offers so much extra credit that I had a 118% at one point.

Course work included take-home quiz and in-class quiz each meeting, two 2-3ish page essays for midterm, as well as for final exam. The essay questions are specific and easy to write. Where do I start? Quiz every week. One big project due on the holocaust. Essay tests. Overall I loved this class. But the information we were expected to know was not anywhere in our text. It was messy. When contacted, he barely responded. Hes a great guy - but dang pull it together.

Dr. George Reklaitis was an amazing teacher. This was my first time taking an online history class and post an amazing lecture and video on the topic of the week on canvas. His quizzes are easy to do online. I would love to take another of his classes again.

He doesnt respond to emails. All online class. You need to complete discussion post. The study guide questions are the quiz questions. TAKE HIM! makes the class so easy. Clear instructions on what to do and how to do it. Weekly test/ discussions but are very manageable. Two major assignments that are graded tough but allows extra credit.

Professor George is an absolutely incredible, funny and engaging professor who goes above and beyond for his students, making sure you want to go beyond the lectures to learn about the various subjects. I have also taken him for Hist 105 and 106 for in person classes. There's a very good reason I took 3 of his classes over only two semesters.

Quizzes every class of the material from the week before but they have the exact same question as the study guides he gives out. Very knowledgeable and overall amazing human being.

Reklaitis is definitely one of the funniest professors out there. He manages to make history interesting by cracking jokes and actually explaining the information instead of reading a textbook or off a slide show. If you pay attention in class you will do just fine. Would 10/10 recommend taking his class if you can. Loved his class so much

He was honestly great! There was a lecture every class, but he's hilarious and makes the material super engaging. There are quizzes every week, but they're easy if you pay attention. Overall, such a fun class and an awesome professor!

AMAZING!! If you need history credits I heavily advise taking him! He makes his lectures genuinely interesting. Quizzes at home or in class are extremely easy. He does do essays that count as midterm grades and your final but those are relatively easy and he gives you plenty of time to complete. You will learn a lot if you choose to pay attention.

He's a good professor and pretty funny. I don't think there was ever homework, there's a required textbook but I never read any of it. There was a quiz at the end of each class that he gave you a study guide for the class prior, I recommend you study those, and he lets you have a 3x5 flashcard for tests! And the essay portion of tests are at home.

I took Dr Reklaitis online and in-person and his classes were easy to manage. Hist 107 is pretty much a reading a week, a discussion post, and then comment on two classmates' posts. In this class there were two short papers, 3-5 paragraphs each. I highly recommend taking any class by Dr Reklaitis because they're interesting and very manageable.

Absolutely loved this professor! Clear explanations, fair grading, and genuinely supportive. Feedback was thoughtful and personalized, and they truly wanted us to succeed. The course felt organized, encouraging, and stress-free and interesting. One of the best professors I've ever had! HIGHLY recommend this class.
