By the time finals come around only 5 or 6 people are left to take it. Everyone fails. Only grades tests and no matter how well u think u know the review questions it wont help you for the tests. They are completely different. I recomend that you dont take this teacher!

He's class is very hard

Hate the facts that he bases his class only on test... I dunno but i study the book and i go over the stuff at home and im 2 for 2 bombing his tests...

he is the worst math teacher ever! his english sucks so you cant understand him at all, and his teaching/tests are the worst! do NOT take him!

He really doesn't take the time to explain much. If you have questions (lots of questions) he'll only answer like a couple- and then he'll say he has to move on. His test are not really extremely hard if you know the material. But i just wouldn't recommend him at all.

This guy is a disaster! Not only he has an accent, he talks really fast. Instead of answering questions, he wastes everybody's time making stupid jokes and talking about things irrelevant to the class. Test are long with no enough time to finish. Make girls pretty uncomfortable with his comments. He should be fired!

HORRIBLE!! This professor SUCKS! By his lecture you can tell that he wants you to pay for him to tutor you, to pass. Think about it. Can't pass his class? what better way to improve business than to fail students. I'll be back with more comments at the end of the semester.

This professor does not like to teach is pretty obvious that he is tired and he's still working because he needs the money. he never explains the execises on the board all he does is explaining how to use the calculator TI 84 0r 83 the only he knows.He does not like when somebody ask questions.Extremly hard test which he does not teach to solve

im taking his class now for the fall term and i have to drop him. he is russian he sucks. says terrible jokes. 5 grades the whole semester. and they are all hard tests. dont get this guy. i wish someone would of told me.

Please student don't fall in his trap this prof is writing his own comments to make you register in his class and after you fail 2 first test you have to pay him private turoring in order to pass the class. Horrible professor one of the worst professors i have ever experienced , I needed this class to graduate and now im stuck and have to wait one more semester to take MAC1105 all over again , the problesm done in class are easy , the Hw given not to bad to practice, but once ur taking his test its nothing he has gone over or reviewed

This teacher is just awful. He doesn't help his students at all and he will set up his tests so if you miss 1 critical question and you fail. I had to drop the class because I hadn't gotten a score above 50 on any test of his. I'm now taking the course with another teacher and getting a 90+ on every test. I think it's safe to say that Samani sucks.

Okay, so if you for some unknown reason decide to take his course know this; This "professor" does not give one ounce of you know what about who you are, like most professors. However, he will not use the book at all to assist you or go in detail to the subject matter. To put it frankly, only 6 people passed his class with a low C grade.

This has to be the worse math teacher I have ever had. He doesn't care if you do not understand. I think he does it on purpose so you could pay for his tutoring services. Many people had to drop the class and about 7-8 people actually passed. DO NOT TAKE HIM! You will have to get a tutor or teach yourself the material in order to pass.

I cannot stand being in his class! He has a thick accent which could be hard to understand at first, I really didn't mind. But his teaching is really poor, and hard to follow. He goes really fast without explaining half the steps he does, or he doesn't even write all the steps! Barely any practice, just watching him do a couple questions..

Probably the worst professor I have ever had. I took business calc with him summer B. I studied very hard for the first exam and and got a 65% and there were 5 or 6 other students in the class that are down for the summer that I saw got 20% to 30%. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time in the lab. It is impossibly to get an A. DO NOT TAKE EVER

Worst math professor I've taken by far. Save yourself the time and do not register with him. Tests are unorganized and his accent is hard to understand.

This professor is not clear about what he says, doesn't understand what you're asking him so his answer doesn't make sense. First test, he got late to class, spend the whole time talking to people on the phone, and 15 mins before class ended he was out the door with students following him with their tests in hand. DON'T TAKE HIM. Trying to save you

WORST MATH PROFESSOR I HAVE HAD IN MY COLLEGE YEARS. His test are extremely hard and do not relate to what he teaches. Deep accent, does not help unless you have him tutor you for $$$. DO NOT TAKE HIM, trust me.

Horrible teacher!! Don't take him. I failed the class and he was not helpful. He thinks he's funny, but he's not. Very hard class to pass.

No homework. Your grade will be solely based off of your tests. Don't even think about asking for extra credit.

You can bring a cheat sheet, use a calculator, and he covers all the material on the test in class. After that its not too great. He makes jokes at the expense of anyone who asks a question. On reviews for the test he won't even fully finish a problem just to where he thinks its easy. Not very caring of his students.

The professor was unwilling to help students. He grades based on 4 tests and 1 optional final that will bring down the lowest test grade. The final is the HARDEST thing I've ever done. I studied my brains out for each test but he grades super hard. His tests are fill in the blank so if you miss a negative you already get -1/2 points.

Hard to understand and is not clear. I have passed other math classes with great grades this was not fun and dreaded going to his class. I do not recommend anyone taking this class

He really knows math. Probably one of the best mathematicians I've met personally. Dude is a genius seriously. I wish he would've spent more time studying the English language however. His accent is so horrible, I swear he gives up on words halfway sometimes and just says gibberish.

Wrongly grades tests and marks questions wrong that are right very often. Doesnt care if his students fail all the tests he will keep teaching without reviewing the test.

grades test wrongly durnimg his lectured messes up so much it confuses the entire class. He doesnt explain very clearly and the hw sometimes has nothing to do with the material. If youre going to take pre-cal/trig after this class he doesnt focus on graphing at all so you will be lost in the next semester. Im good at math and he confused me

don't even bother taking this professor! has a strong accent, you have to correct him & will not give you feed back on your tests. you have 5 tests/homework & an optional that can replace your lowest grade. the study guides are exactly like the test & you can have a cheat sheet (front and back) for the test. don't buy book. won't answer questions.

You pay for 50 minutes and he only teaches for 35-40 and always leaves early, WITHOUT FAIL he will make a mistake every single class teaching something and the students have to correct him. I have no clue if he has some form of cognitive decline but this is by far the worst professor in existence. Has no clue how to grade or teach. AVOID AVOID!!!!

Hes awful. Ive always excelled in math and chemistry so numbers have never been confusing for me until I took his class. He makes mistakes constantly and gets annoyed when students correct him. You ask questions due to the mistakes and he ignores you or answers with, the magic of math hes awful. So sorry. Take someone else.

His method of teaching involves solving the question on the board and then erasing it. Can barely understand him sometimes with his accent.

I have never been good at math but never have I ever failed a class. He is the worst teacher I have ever had. He makes mistakes on his own problems that the students correct him on, he doesnt teach very well, and is disappointing. I went as far as spending money on a great tutor and it still did nothing. Every other professor is better than him.

I took professor samani my first semester at mdc and he is just awful. He rushes through the material and doesnt explain it at all. On his syllabus it says that each homework (which consist of over 100 problems) is worth a test grade but turns out that all homework put together is worth ONE grade (500 homework problems for one grade). DO NOT TAKE!

Terrible professor. His class is the first class Ive ever struggled in. Makes mistakes every class and students have to correct him. Extremely rude and disrespectful. Ive taken Samani 2 times now and the first time the class was MAC1105 which isnt that easy but not insanely hard. He failed me, this time around since it was a very easy class I decided to give him another try. BIG MISTAKE. Never take any of his classes. Lots of homework, no multiple choice on tests, very unclear when he teaches. Trust me dont.

Do not take this class if you care about your GPA. Doesnt teach well and most of the times you cant even understand what he is saying. Seriously stay away from it

Condescending to students, people were afraid to ask questions in class. Told me not to worry about problems in review, because they wont be on the test, then sure enough, they're on it. During corona, he wrote on a tiny paper for his webcam, it was barely visible, and there were constant tech issues. I gave him a chance, open minded, and regret it

Not what I would consider to be a good professor. More than half my class dropped from his class. His grading criteria is very confusing and loses work. Not a great lecturer.

If I could rate professor Samani a -10 I would. He is an awful teacher, hard to understand, and doesnt help you. I saw the good reviews so I picked him but now I regret it. Its the end of the semester and hes yet to put one grade on blackboard also he wont tell you what you did wrong on test so he is no help. Do yourself a favor and avoid him

Half the class dropped it a week after starting it because it was too tough, I thought I could handle it and ended up with a D. We had 4 tests during the semester and one final that would replace your lowest one before. Don't take him! Do yourself a favor.

Samani he just needs a break. I bet you $10 right now if you understand a whole sentence of what he says. He is the type of professor that will talk about roses in the class and then the test is about watermelons. I had to study from youtube this whole semester. He used the ALEKS online thing and there was just A LOOOT of questions you have to do

If you want to fail your math class, take this guy! He gets things wrong in lectures way too many times, he only grades off of tests, with homework only being a fraction of your grade to the point that it doesn't even matter, the tests have problems/cases that he never covered, and he constantly goes off topic in lectures effectively wasting time.

I would take another teacher before this one. I failed with him and took another teacher the next semester and ended with an A. Lots of homework that barely count towards your grade. 4 tests and a final that replaces you lowest grade, he didnt know when his tests would be so I had a family trip during the test. I would find another professor.

George Samani is awful. The reviews are not compared with the exams, he doesn't exaplin. He just write on the board and he doesn't care about.

I'm sorry but…terrible. He should honestly retire already because he can't hear you and you can't hear him. He is straight up mumbling. He is also NOT understanding at all and not considerate either. He also gives a bit of a … vibe like when i was speaking to him he was starring at my thighs…I just felt very uncomfortable every time i was here.

It has been three years and I still think about how terrible my experience in this class was, avoid this professor at all cost.

it has been three years, i'm an all around A student now but this class gutted my GPA. He has a rough accent, will pick on you and lectures were awful. Once reached out to him to ask about a due date while i was sick, he responded after it was due. I would wake up in a cold sweat thinking about this class, and i still do... take anyone else.
