all i got to say about this guy is if there is any possible teacher take them instead. I got an A in the class but I didn't learn anything at all. so much more i could say but lets just leave it at that.

He didn't really explain much too well, he went through the code he did in class quickly. As an introductory class he didn't teach it well to new students. I missed class one day and emailed him what the homework was for the day he replied "I gave out the assignment in class today, had you been there you would have known."

Hardly taught anything. Class felt like a total waste of time. Would often start giving an example and then make an error and either spend a lot of time trying to find it or he would have the students try to find his errors on the topic that he hadn't taught us yet. We were behind schedule he assigned several labs on topics we didn't learn yet

Do not take this class. The teacher is very unclear an will most likely go off topic during his lectures an try to be inspirational making learning a challenge. If you are looking for a intro class for coding I do not suggest that you take this teacher for he will only tell you what the code means and not how to use the code. YouTube teaches better

Horrible teacher! He cuts into students presentations, shows no respect to students, gives short timelines for students. Doesn't understand the fact that kids are taking 16 credits and cant manage short due dates

Had him for an online class... he doesn't even give all of the instructions at once. Right now I have an assignment that was posted Sunday to add to "one of the questions found below" initial response due Wed, Peer response due Fri. It's Saturday, no questions ANYWHERE! At least third time this has happened he extends the due date and we getSWAMPED

Online class with no lectures and feedback on assignments - other than grade - which was always weeks behind. Online "class" website content constantly wrong. If you don't need the credit, but want to learn c#, buy a c# book and read it - because that's basically what you'll be doing taking this class - besides donating money to mcc.

Took the class at South Campus. This professor defines words with the words that he is defining. He belittles students for not knowing the EXACT terminology he requests. He does not teach "intro to programming" as if he is teaching new students, but semi experienced programmers. Be prepared to get hw during projects & vague instructions

So rude, Its almost as if he doesn't realize that 90% of students in college take roughly 3+ classes because he doesn't tell you how to do/what the homework is until its 1-2 days before its due. He even warns that you won't have time to enjoy life because of the heavy workload.(so motivating?) Dropped because I don't need this class for my degree.

Worst teacher on earth. If you can avoid taking a class with him, do it. He doesn't teach anything at all he just tells you to read the book. The lectures are literally youtube videos of another teacher. His assignments are vague and take way too much time for an intro class. He gives absolutely no feedback or guidance on the homework or labs.

I haven't taken many college courses in my life but I can't imagine most professors are as bad as this one. He never answers any of our questions, his email link on his profile page links to Gmail's homepage, and the assignments and tests are riddled with typos and MISSING INFORMATION! If you see his name pop up for your virtual class, get a refund

This professor does not teach one bit, ive never skipped and i still am sitting at a D. The only thing he does is scroll through powerpoints and expects you to soak it all in. And if you have a question, be ready for some criticism. I asked questions that my other classmates had too and he said "Are you serious?". Definitely wouldnt recommend.

I do NOT recommend taking this teacher he is a horrible teacher, his teaching style is horrible, he loads you with ton of homework. If you need help don't bother asking him he wont help you, I asked him several times for help and nothing, he makes up stuff. Be ready for sarcasm. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

Absolutely the worst teacher i have ever had. Started the semester with 35 people in the class, coming close to the end of the semester with 4 people left. If you see any good comments on this professor, it's because he did it.

He was so dis-respectful to all of his students. Whenever someone would ask a question he would make them feel stupid and not answer. When he asked the class a question and randomly call of people and if they got it wrong he would be sure to let them know. He threw 5 assignments at us one week and wanted them done in like two days.

Didn't teach anything, I was better off reading the book and powerpoint slides. Showing up to class was pointless because he would spend 30 minutes talking off topic or fixing his code. Or even worse, sitting there waiting for us to fix his code.

He was unclear/unhelpful. All his due dates were rolled over from last semester. He never fixed them. Powerpoints were outdated and used last version of python with a note "remember we're using the new version." There was a huge project turned in in stages. NO feedback to help. Tons of homework/ projects and I got exactly ONE comment all semester.

Absolutely terrible teacher. Avoid at all costs. He uses outdated PowerPoint lectures to teach the class and they show you how to do things in raptor which hasn't been used in Macomb in years. The assignments were a joke, making noteable effort to teach as little as possible about coding. This teacher couldn't have cared less about the class.

Easily the worst teacher I've ever had in over 100 semester hours of college. I've asked him for help MULTIPLE times when the course materials don't cover what he's asking us to do. Then, if you look outside the course materials for help, he gives you a zero and calls you a cheater. This teacher is an embarrassment to this institution.

His attitude and how he instructs during class is absolutely terrible. He reads directly off of Cengage's PPT that come from the book. His exams have the cengage trademark on it(indicating his exams come cengage). Its the 6th week into the semester and nothing in canvas is updated with the correct due dates. Hes lazy and very rude to his students.

George is a very rude instructor with no communication or teaching manner. You will have to read over the chapters and the worthless powerpoints that comes from the publisher. You are not expecting any good from him but hard grader. Also, nothing is provided to help you with the tests unless you go over the chapters again. Worst instructor ever!

Never before seen such a condescending programming professor who himself is completely incompetent at programming and at teaching it. As a programmer in my day job, I can say that half the things coming out of his mouth in any given lecture range from vague or misleading to completely wrong. I weep for anyone who is introduced to C++ by this man.

Took the class online winter 2019. This was my very first programming class. I didn't learn much. There were no lectures, just a few powerpoints(for some weeks)and assigned reading in the text book. He didn't know how to use the canvas platform. Also the syllabus/calendar were not updated from past semesters. It was challenging staying organized.

He will make sure to put you down every time you want to learn, he will make sure to pick on you if you don't know the answer, then proceed to mock you. The homework is unrelated to the course, and if you mess up, be ready to lose 50% of the points. The tests are super difficult, with no notes, powerpoints, or any material to help you study!

I do not know how this man is teaching coding, it's like he's never used a computer before. At the beginning of the semester, the schedule was just last years, then it disappeared entirely. The lectures weren't his, he rarely responded to emails, things would not get graded until a week or two had passed. I'm never taking another class with him.

Worst programming professor I've had. Very rude to students and doesn't actually teach. Read barebones PowerPoints that were boilerplate from textbook. Never prepared for class. Lectures and homework are pointless, exams are 60 percent of grade. If you take him, get ready to teach yourself C++. Avoid at all costs, DO NOT take a chance on him.

He is the most disrespectful, ignorant person I have ever met. You have to have 1000% quality work because if you miss a semicolon or a bracket or misspell a word, he will give you 50% automatically. Honestly, I gave him a second chance( C++, because no one else offered the class) and I greatly regret so. The first time I took his class I remember I passed with an 89.99 percent because he was not clear in his homework and submitting assignments were always an issue. His lectures are not helpful and he Is very disrespectful and egotistical.

Avoid at ALL COST. The worst professor I have ever had doesn't know how to teach barely understands the material. He is disrespectful and unforgiving. changes questions and regrades homework on a whim after submissions. makes a mediocre professor look like a godsent.

I've taken 100 credit hours at Macomb for two IT degrees and this has to be the worst experience I've had. TOTALLY ABSENT professor. No descriptions has to what the work required is. He's using a book for Visual 2012 (3rd edition) to teach a class for Visual 2019 (5th edition). Assignments don't math page #'s, went from A- to D+ with one assignment

He suspected that some people in the class were cheating so he gave a final exam that was "extra hard" on purpose so he could "weed out" the cheaters. The whole class failed the exam. Extremely unreasonable, petty, and not encouraging. I do not recommend.

This was the worst professor I ever had. Incompetent, rude, and very egotistical. His "lecutres" are just him reading off of powerpoint slides that he didn't even make, asking questions would have him make fun of you during lecture- or he would give you a very vague response or tell you to "read the book". Without a doubt the worst IT professor I've ever had. I took this class online and this guy hasn't communicated with us a single time. No emails, no messages online, nothing. He doesn't respond to emails either, takes forever to grade assignments, and is an insanely tough grader. He hasn't actually taught us a thing all semester. Avoid at all costs

Easiest class of my life, unfortunately it was also his easiest class as he did not teach us a single thing. He used tutorials from YouTube, Construct's website, Unity's website etc. I really did pay 1K to show up and watch youtube tutorials. He does not teach us at all, I feel like me helping the other students was more impactful than he ever was

He would not give rubrics to assignments, then grade very heavy for arbitrary reasons. Then he would not allow you to resubmit with corrections. He would often forget to release modules until halfway through the week, but never pushed due dates back. Then he botched the final and had to give out revised copies halfway through the exam.

This is by far the worst professor in history. Very rude and showed no respect to students. If you ask a question, he gets upset and puts you on the spot in front of the entire class. The exams are designed to make you fail. No study guides, no rubrics for projects. DO NOT TAKE, EVEN IF HES THE ONLY OPTION. VERY TOUGH AND TAKES FOREVER TO GRADE HW.

He does not teach. The assignments that he gives are right off google. And the way he want us to change the code is not in the book, PowerPoints or anything else. I have learned more off random videos on YouTube and google than anything he teaches.

I would not recommend this teacher for anything and I sent a report to the dean. I sent this professor 4 emails for getting an zero on assignment I did with proof and he basically told me that it wasnt his problem. I sent another three emails about an assignment and he never emailed me back so I dropped the class and went to ricks at MSU.

If you are a good tester, hate going to class, and love to learn from the textbook then you'll do great. If you aren't all of those things then good luck. This professor is not a professor he is a planner, you will not get taught by him you will just have to read the book and figure out the weekly programming problems yourself.

Use Youtube. He's the most useless, disrespectful, worst professor I've ever had. Gets angry if you mess something up, won't grade things for weeks, posts modules halfway through the week, and has the worst instructions that when messaged privately, he gave me incorrect instructions and gave me an F on the assignment when I did what he asked.

The tags that I included abt this professor is everything that he is NOT... His classes are honestly a joke. You are paying for him to tell you which OUTDATED book to read. No help, no communication, the Canvas page is not set up, 12-15 programs to code weekly, no feedback, doesn't answer, grading takes 2+ weeks, I could go on but there's a limit.

This was a online class, he used another teachers outlines for class with the wrong dates for everything. In the reading for Codio he only gave us one chance to answer them right. He intentionally would not respond to my questions until 10:30 pm, when it was too late. If expects you to know Python already. You need to know how a lot of math.

Worst teacher I've ever had. Very rude and will belittle students during class if they ask a question. Don't ask him "stupid questions". He gives written tests: part multiple choice/fill in the blank followed by 4-5 WRITTEN coding prompts (no study guides). He assigns about 6-8 book project prompts a week and won't help/give feedback at all.

This was my 1st coding class (2021) & he gave almost no direction. His PP slides were Python 2 and we were doing Py 3. Rubrics were vague & confusing. I had a meeting with him & he only gave me 15 mins, but was late 5 mins & left 3 mins early for a dif class. He didn't even help, just said he didn't know and to "figure it out".

Easily the worst professor I have ever had in my many years of education. Teaches nothing, all learning will be done by yourself watching Youtube videos. Never gives grading criteria and assignments are super vague. Final exam will include things you have not been taught in the class. If he's the only choice you have, good luck.

Don't take this professor if you have no prior coding knowledge. He only changes the dates on assignments that are from years ago so there are mistakes on grammar and assignment details. The instructions on assignments are very vague and since there aren't many, your grade tanks if you aren't able to do as he exactly wants. Do NOT recommend!!

The grading scale is 20% assignments (12 of them), we didnt have a project but 4 quizzes unlimited attempts for 10% of our grade, 70% is exams (3 exams) mcq/frq. Usually only gives one option of frq "heres some requirements, write the code" from scratch btw. Exams are all in person. Although, he lists 3 types of frq options.

Using a syllabus from 2016 that is broken. little to no instruction so basically you pay to teach yourself. If you take the course online no it's not because all tests and exams are in person on paper. Mostly copied and pasted lessons from online courseware with nothing added.

He gives coding tests on pen and paper. You better be a fast writer to finish them on time. Written Questions are often confusing with room for interpretation. He will treat you like your stupid if you ask him to clarify and restate what's on the paper. Class itself is rarely helps because he teaches straight from the book.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR UNLESS YOU HAVE A DECENT UNDERSTANDING OF PYTHON. He teaches the class as if everyone has had experience in python, did not provide beneficial feedback on assignments, had to be corrected multiple times because he used methods from an older version of python or was just flat out wrong, and rips students during preso.

This professor does not teach, nor does he respect his students. Do not take this class if you are a beginner in any type of code. While I understand this is a self taught online class, after reaching out for help, he was extremely aggressive towards both my work and my character. He will humiliate you both in private and in public.

I took this class online and it was manageable but with so much homework. All you learn is through videos of another professor and Codio. They said the calls was all online but quizzes are in-person and you have to score a 60% on the final. He never responds to his emails quickly at all. Still waiting for a response that is 10 days ago. Dont take

Very absent teacher virtually, basically taught solely from a book you can find in a kid's section at a Barnes and Noble, and is downright rude sometimes in his responses via emails. Never gives good feedback to assignments, instead forcing you to find it out yourself. Absolutely would not recommend to students of all experiences of coding.

My reasoning for dislike him is pretty similar to other reviews. Not good at explaining topics and homework assignments. Never responds to email, and very rude when asked about homework. Very negative about working in the video game field as if he is trying to scare people away. All my other computer teachers were way more helpful and respectful.

Worst teacher I have ever had. I have never coded before and I have learned nothing. HW assignments EXTREMELY vague (literally a sentence worth of instruction no details in how he wants something), no rubric for the project. Teaches out dated material and can't teach period. Extremely condescending and egotistical for no reason. the list goes on.

1) Submission problems? I received two 0's, no understanding/explanation what's so ever 2) Mixed me up with another student who didn't show up and had an F 3) I had 1 on 1 about it and it felt like talking to a Condescending toxic passive aggressive LoL player 4) only acted "normal" after I taught his class he realized i was his one passing student

Due dates are confusing, modules aren't opened when they should, material is outdated, very slow to reply, and much more. In person test days he is rude and egotistical, no joyful bone in his body. Difficult to feel inspired to learn with this kind of professor. One test day he had a sub, and I very much enjoyed the sub more. Not my favorite prof.
