By far one of my most favorite teachers. I took him for a 2 and a 1/2 hour class twice a week and he definitely made it more interesting. While he does consistently go over the bookwork, you will still be required to read the book in order to pass. He was also very easy to work with and understanding of any problems that the students came across.

Seriously best professor I have ever had. The homework are the problems he works out in class, made an A on all of the tests, would recommend taking him if possible.

Prof. Sonnenberg was a really easy going guy. However, all he does in class is go over the homework problems and tries to explain how to do them but doesn't make it too clear. It was a really easy class until tests came along. Great guy, not so great teacher.

I enjoyed being in his class every day! He was very easygoing, had lots of funny stories and a great personality! In class, we did the practice problems from each chapter. There were online quizzes (mandatory) and online homework problems (not mandatory, but I recommend you do them as practice for the exams)!

Sonnenberg is a G. I assure you he was not a nerd in college and he can relate to many students. Reading the book is crucial to making an A. He has his masters in accounting and is very knowledgeable. His side stories make the class very entertaining. I can't imagine taking anybody else. Be prepared to read .

I took the first accounting class 3 semesters prior to taking this one, so to begin with, this class was pretty hard. Sonnenberg was a great teacher and gives LOTS of extra credit points. I mean, he is basically begging you to pass. It's a tough class, but he knows that we wanted to get into A&M, and he helped as much as he could. Recommend him.

Gives ALOT of extra credit, as long as you read over the book you should be fine. He always has interesting stories and is a good teacher. As long as you put in effort you'll pull off a decent grade.

Mr. Sonnenberg is one of my favorite teachers I have ever had. I took him in the summer for 2301, and this semester for 2302. Accounting isn't an easy subject for a lot of people, nor is it interesting to most, but Sonnenberg makes class fun. No he isn't always the clearest so yes you need to read the book, but that helps you learn. 100% Recommend.

He's the best professor I've had in college so far. He makes an effort to get to know every student; their names, where they work. If you put in minimal effort, you will pass. If you put in actual effort, you will get an A. Such a great guy, I wish I could take him again.

The material is tough and if you skip class you probably won't understand it. Test are also pretty tough but he gives 5 points every test for writing out vocabulary!

Sonnenberg is a cool guy. He gives a review for every test so you know the basic material that is on there. If you do not study there is a good chance you will fail the class. He also drops anyone who misses 4 days of class.

I am terrible at math and I thought accounting would be awful, but he is SO good at explaining it, answers all of your questions and truly is passionate about teaching. Mr. Sonnenberg is an outstanding professor, I took this course before at a university, professor didn't even care about getting to know each student's name. Mr. Sonnenberg does the complete opposite he works with everyone throughout the daily lecture that way he knows everyone is paying attention and if they need help he explains thoroughly.

I took this class over the summer and he made it a lot more enjoyable. He really cares about all of his students and wants you to succeed. I thought this class was more difficult than ACCT 2301 but it is very much the same. He still tries to make it fun and cares about his students a lot. If you visit his office outside his class he will help you and he offers even more extra credit than ACCT 2301. He is a great guy and actually made me like going to Blinn.

Sonnenburg understands that this material is new and can be difficult but he does his best to make it enjoyable, and gives out SO much extra credit. He works to make sure everyone in class participates and is one of the only profs I've met who knows everyone's name in the class. Not a blow off class but he will help if you put in effort.

Never rated a prof before, but this man was without a doubt the best professor I've ever had. Loves his students and wants to get everyone on the same page. Participate and it will be one of the best classes you've taken at blinn. Pretty easy if you put in the work. Also the funniest professor I've ever had which will always keep you interested.

He is absolutely hilarious and he makes me genuinely excited to go to Accounting. This is my second semester taking his accounting classes and he is by far my favorite professor ever. He will always help you and gives you an unreal amount of extra credit. During the test reviews he tells you EXACTLY what you need to study for the test. Take him.

Sonnenberg is awesome, lectures were relaxed and interesting because he loves to have conversation with the whole class. The requirements are pretty easy and he's clear about due dates. For tests, he gives a review the class before, with everything thats gonna be on it. Take him if you can, I didn't expect to laugh so much in an accounting class.

Tends to go on a lot of tangents which kind of makes it hard to cover all material and questions in class. Goes over test material in class pd before test, lots of extra credit. Hardest class I have ever taken but he really cares. Grades are based on 3 tests and final exam, not very consistent with homework but definitely listens to the students.

This dude is the best. Really cares about his students and wants you to succeed. Even if accounting is your worst subject it's almost impossible to fail unless you absolutely don't try.

This professor is amazing! I really enjoyed going to class because he was extremely funny and made going to class fun! He gave ALOT of extra credit, which bumps you up at least a letter grade. You still have to read and do the homework but if you put forth the effort to understand the material you will easily make an A.

He is a great teacher. I struggled in financial to grasp subjects conceptually but Sonnenberg does an excellent job explaining everything at a level you will be able to understand clearly. Be prepared to participate in class he will call on you if you look like you are struggling.

He was a college fail out who went back graduated and got his masters from Baylor. His class is very entertaining. Slackers get grief from him. He will call on you and make a scene! showup

Sonnenberg is a good instructor. I am taking his online class at the moment. You are on your own in terms of learning. He is very helpful in answering questions. Ignore those that say the online class ( I almost dropped do to those) is hard for someone of average intelligence and who has a good work ethic it's an easy A-B depending on the perosn.

AMAZING professor. Favorite class I've taken at Blinn so far. Accounting is difficult but he explains it in such an easy to understand way. I learned a lot in his class. Tests were easy if you study and homework is all online and easy if you go to class.

This is the best accounting professor. He is hilarious and knows that accounting sucks and tries to make the best out of it. The tests are multiple choice and gives you extra points. The book is a must, so just go buy it.

For the subject, this class was pretty simple. He made the class fun with his stories. Tough at first, but gets easier as the semester goes on. He's really funny and understands that many people do not like the subject, so he makes it interesting. I would really recommend taking him, I've taken him for both accounting classes now.

You don't really learn from his lectures, but its easy to teach yourself from the homeworks and DSMs. His lectures are pretty enjoyable because he is funny. I would take him for accounting at blinn over any of the other professors.

Its a test based class 80% of your grade comes straight from tests including the final. If you want to make an A, READ the book before you lecture the chapter.

Sonnenberg is a funny guy. He does what he can to help you pass and get an A, including assignments that are free 100s and gives extra credit on exams. Honestly, I learned more about accounting from the HWs on Pearson. I never took notes in class. Totally doable over the summer!! Just do the HW! It only takes about 3 hrs per chapter.

I wish I could have Sonnenberg be the prof for all my classes. Very straight forward and he's in your corner all the way through the course. He understands accounting stinks but he makes it fun with the different stories he tells. Extremely big on participation, almost everyone gets called on at least once per lecture. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Accounting is a boring subject that doesn't come very easily to most people, yet he makes going to class something to look forward to. Super funny, and a great guy. The bottom line is if you come to class and put in the work no matter where you're at he won't let you fail. Also hella extra credit

While Blinn's mandatory attendance wasn't my favorite thing Professor Sonnenberg really took advantage and made everyone part of the class. He was very proficient at making a difficult course as entertaining as possible while making sure everyone, even those like myself who initially slacked off, was brought up to their full potential.

Sonnenberg was easily my favorite professor while I was in college. He's one of the primary reasons I was admitted into Mays and graduated with a finance degree. I stumbled upon this page today and found out the news that he passed away. He was a great man that truly cared about all his students and their future success. RIP to a great guy.
