Incredible instructor who is thorough in his explanations! He is the BEST instructor I have ever had and probably will ever have. If you want to come out of a course knowing that you really learned, then this is the instructor for you!

I really enjoyed his class. He is clear and easy to understand, but if you dont make sure and ask, he will help you understand the material. Not asking questions, not trying hard enough or not showing up, are why some think its hard. Many other agree.

EXCELLENT teacher - Prof Stockton fixed the facing board thing, used a technologically advanced note-taking system during my class and provided his lecture notes on web almost immediately allowing students to concentrate on material rather than notes. He is fair and challenging, knows material.

Copy everything he writes on the board. If you do that and all the homework assignments you can't fail. He makes Algebra as simple as possible.

Teaches primarily by systematic examples. Provides tools to help students succeed. He tends to stand directly in front of what he is writing on the board. Friendly & sometimes cocky. Answered questioned thoroughly. Comprehensive final and no grade curve.

One of the best instructors SJC has to offer. Has a good attitude, friendly and approachable. Grades tests quickly. Tests can be tough with no curve but he does give partial credit. Provides previous exam keys for review of next exam.

Mr.Stockton was a great teacher. I loved how he did his notes and all the examples he gave. Most of the time he let out class out early if everyone understood everything. He gives a review and will take a class day to go over any questions you have. Very helpful! I made an A in his class.

Very good teacher. Would stop to explain any questions you had. Tests were cake as long as you go to class and do the review.

As a person he is really funny and really nice. He write the notes on the board, then maybe that night he has a copy of them on black board. His reviews are on blackboard, he has practice tests on blackboard. It isnt easy, but all the information is there you just have to use it. :D

I took cal3 before, and did not understand any of it, then i took it with stockton and i realy got it this time, his notes are full of examples, there are plenty of examples. do the review, and practice tests, and you be more than ok. over all he is a great teacher, he would explaine the subject until you get it

Mr. Stockton is one of the cooler teachers I've had at SJ. Most will appreciate his sarcastic sense of humor, very funny and laid-back. Organized and clear in lecture. I am not a strong math person and probably should have spent more time on this class...if u keep up with the homework and make sure u understand it b4 u move on, u'll b okay.

Awesome professor! I would take him for every math class you can. He explains every concept clearly and will even go backwards into remedial concepts to bring you up to speed. I'm going to miss him for CAL1. :(

I just took him in the summer session and had to miss an entire week for orientation at another school; he was willing to work with me. Lecture are clear and uses map pencils to draw 3D pictures. Posts old exams on Blackboard. This class wouldn't have been that hard if I didn't miss that week. He's HILARIOUS. Very easy to talk to and ask questions.

took mr. stockton for the summer session and he was great. everything was explained with such clarity and of course if you did the hw you will do great in class. reviews and practice exams are posted in bb so very helfpul. if you dread math dont plz b/c he is definetly the teacher to take. so dont wait and sign up for him :)

Mr. Stockton is a great prof. If you're taking trig, cal 1, cal 2 etc. He's the perfect prof. He explains everything very clearly. If indeed you have questions he's always there to help. Plus his practice exams and reviews do prepare one very well for his exams :)

Prof. Stockton is by far the best! He's presents all material in a clear and concise manner and in a very entertaining way. You'll never fall asleep. He goes BEYOND trying to help. He'll work with you if you just go talk with him, he's very approachable, unlike some profs. He will SHOW you how to do all problems! Oh yea, He's HOT!

This is the first math class that i have understood, much less obtained a B in. He explains everything in class and also has his notes on BB with practice exams and quizzes. You do need to be in class, however if you do miss for some reason just talk to him and he will help. I am taking him for Cal 1,2,3 and Differential Equations. Recommend !!

The material for the course can be difficult or easy depending on how good you are at math. He is a GREAT professor though! I am not great at math and managed to get an A! He is definitely the best math teacher I have ever had. Always willing to help and very easy to understand. Take his class if you can!!!!

Funny & Intelligent, I enjoyed the class but he seems to have 2 different personalities, one in class and one when he's grading, grades rough with some and easy on others, I would absolutely take him again & plan on taking classes I don't even need, just to be in another class with him. VERY helpful, will spend lots of time w/you!

Superior Teacher. Makes the math crystal clear and helps you if you don't understand or forgot some of your lower level math. You will need to work lots of problems for yourself, but that is math.

The material in Calculus 3 was stressful, it requires intense practice, and I required 3 hours of tutoring each week. But Stockton did an excellent job of communicating the material. He's entertaining and charismatic, and I'd reccommend him to anyone.

Stockton is great! He really hates to see people fail, so he tries his best to help as much as possible. He provides reviews, worksheets, practice tests, and posts the notes from class on Blackboard. He's absurdly nice and rather funny, as well. I can't imagine anyone disliking him. Take his class!

Professor Stockton is amazing I took him for precal the first 5 weeks of summer and i made an A in his class. I had previously taken Dr. Tate and ended up dropping the class. P.S. I am horrible in math! Take him you will not regret it but you will have to study get a study buddy and you are set to go.

Calculus 3 material was tough for me, and I worked many intense, exhaustive hours to succeed. I also attended nearly every SI session that the math department offered. Stockton is entertaining, talented, and bright. Truly, he is one of the best, most effective professors I have ever met. You will not be bored in his classes.

Mr. Stockton's notes are very thorough. He's always willing to answer questions. He's very helpful, and his test reviews and sample tests make studying for the exam easy. I didn't think I understood or enjoyed math, but I really liked this class and did well thanks to Mr. Stockton. It was a 3 hour class, and he managed to keep it interesting!

BEST TEACHER EVER!

One of the best teachers at San Jac. I took him for both cal I and cal II and LOVED it. He's very clear with notes and will take the time to explain problems with students.

Attendance is not mandatory but he does spend a good deal of time answering homework questions. His teaching is clear to most people and his online notes are clear to most others.

Excellent Teacher. He is clear and thorough on his lectures and gives you everything you need to succeed in the class.

This instructor is unmatched in his teaching skill. Compared to other math courses, with other instructors, I feel as if I've been spoiled with his clarity. You will not know his level of teaching until you take him.

Hilarious and great at teaching. Derives everything, works several examples for each concept and answers all questions. Realistic doing about homework and taking tests, and grades tests reasonably. Humorous behavior keeps you paying attention, so take notes, do some to all of the homework, and you'll both get an A and understand Calculus.

Taking him for precal, very easy class. He explains everything in detail. His test are short, so you have to know the material. His SI are great and helpful...

Took him for both Precal and Calculus III. All I can say is that he is a wonderful teacher and if you ever have trouble with the material, you can walk right into his office and come out feeling more prepared about it. He also works with you if you have an unusual situation (i.e if you have 3 test in one day). He is great; just take him.

I had Stockton for Calculus III. He's absolutely fantastic! His lectures are clear and thorough, and he really takes the time to explain the nuances of every concept. Since taking his classes, I've transferred to a 4-year school, and although I'm now a senior, Stockton remains the best instructor I've ever had. Do not miss out!

Stockton is the man. Made Cal III interesting and understandable. Who does that? This guy. Take his classes because there is no better math professor in Houston (TX?). Lots of mandatory HW (10%). Three tests (20% each) and a final (cumulative 30%). Didn't use the book, took mad notes, never missed a class and got an A. Palabra!

BEST MATH PROFESSOR EVER!!!! I leared so much in this class AND he has a sense of humor. Calculus 3 is so easy now I can do it in my sleep. TAKE HIM!!!

He is the reason I got into Engineering @ Texas A&M. I wasn't good at math but taking his classes made everything clear. Good notes and lectures. Some of his lectures are online. He reviews for tests..not every professor does reviews so thank him for that.

Schedules online conferences with students. Notes and videos available online. Tests are fair and straightforward. Organized and quick to respond. Excellent for any online math class, so long as you study and do the work. I took for Cal II and learned a lot and made a great grade. One of the best math profs ever, especially online.

I normally don't take to time to write comments on professors, but this guy deserves a great review. He explains everything clearly, scans all the notes online, gives reviews before every test, and goes over homework questions every day. Do yourself a favor and take him!!

I loved taking his class. If you ever have a problem you can email him or go to his office and he'll help you on your work whether it's to double check your answer or getting help understanding the material. He gives homework, graded assignments and study guides so you get more than enough problems to practice on. Oh and he post his notes on BB!

Mr. stockton is a good professor. He's very thorough, post all his notes and assignments on BB. But if you're not good at math then its probably best to take this class in person. 10 years ago i was excellent in math, so i jumped in thinking i would manage, BIG MISTAKE. his summer online class was the most stressful thing ever for me.

Professor Stockton is an excellent math professor. He gives bonus points and Grades up. I was dreading College Algebra, but it was a breeze thanks to Professor Stockton.

Do all the homework. tests are always much easier than anything on the homework. Very helpful and very organized. Probably could update his youtube video notes to a higher quality as there were a couple times I had a hard time seeing what he was writing. Overall excellent experience

Make sure you don't miss any of the written assignments. Ask for help if you need it. Tests are never as hard as the mymathlab homework can be.

Best teacher i've EVER had. Amazing lectures and is so clear and easy to understand. Do not underestimate this class, but taking it with Stockton made Cal 3 fun and easy. Took in a 5 week over the summer and made an A+. Funny, witty, alwasy willing to help, amazing teacher.

Professor Stockton gives a lot of homework from the textbook, he also gives graded assignments, practice tests, and test reviews. The resources are there, you just have to use them. However, I disliked this class, not because of the professor, but because of my personal reasons. This was the hardest calculus class for me.

Awesome Professor. Took him for Calculus 2 and now I'm taking him for Calculus 3. He posts his notes online. He also posts sample tests on blackboard from past semesters and they would be the same format as the tests you're gonna take.

Great professor, i highly recommend. If you do all the HW and fully understand the test reviews you can get an A! Don't be afraid to ask questions about the HW or review at the beginning of class, it is very helpful. The class is straightforward if you put in time to learn the material.

The work load for this course is heavy. However, homework is reasonable. His notes are clear and easy to follow. The tests have a similar feel to the sample test he shares. He grades very fairly and gives lots of partial credit if work is shown. Study hard and make sure you understand the concepts, if not he's willing answer all questions.

He is a great professor; he helps the students to understand the class material. lot of homeworks about 27 sections of exercises, and around 10 written assignments, which are basically to ensure you have learned the material., he is very fair (generous I would say) while grading the tests. For a bit above the average math student, just 2-3 hours

I have taken this guy only for cal3 but wish took him for all calculus classes. He is super easy and his exams are easy for the average student. He always posts his notes, and he also has 6 graded assignments and some book homework. He is very helpful and organized as well. Take him because he will make you smoothly pass his class with an "A".

Professor Stockton is very generous. He teaches everything you need to know for the course. If you take online class, he works out examples very specific and posts them to his Youtube channel. Watch the videos, do HW in MML (which also showing examples), you will easily get an A. I only did 3/4 of the HW, but still got maximum final grade (105).

Easy Online Calculus 1 with less than usual amount of written HW - one every week or two; but there is multiple choice HW online and they are easy to earn 100%. 2 online and 2 on-site exams. No book necessary. He will held an online review session before test.

Fantastic Professors! Took him for Calculus 2 online and I couldn't have learned this material better than ever. I'v had to retake this course twice through other professors. 2 online MML and 2 exams on site. Now if you aren't a self learner than this class might be difficult. If you have any questions about the assignments, he explains everything!

He is the best professor I have ever had. I had him for Cal 2 & 3, and linear algebra. His lectures are amazing and clear; If you ask him any questions, he is willing to help as best as he can. If you really want to learn math, I highly recommend taking him.

This class was pretty hard, but I felt that he explained things very well. The tests were on the difficult side, but If you study the material carefully, you should be able to pull at least a B. I went to his office when I felt stumped and he got me back on track quickly. Also, you should not skip his class.

Professor Stockton is a really caring professor who is more than willing to help you out, and responds quickly to any questions or problems. The material is hard, but if you put effort into it, you will be just fine. He's made my online class experience a pretty good one- take him if you need the calc 2 credit!

This is not an easy class by any means but the professor seems to actually care. He puts the effort in to help when you ask or need it. He gives lots of review for each test and helps you with them. Even has live sessions sometimes so you can get help and explanations right away. Usually throws in a bonus question or credit for each test.

Lectures are pretty straight-forward. All homework for the unit is due on the day of the exam. You get extra credit for the class review. About 2 graded assignments are due every unit; each made up of 3-4 questions and can always be traced back to the lectures posted online. Exams are just like the reviews.

CALC 2 online during summer. Straightforward course, with a little too much online homework. Tests were fair with bonus points included as well as bonus test review assignments. Great guy who really puts in the effort and is there through email and live conference sessions if you need the extra help. Wants you to do well and gives his full effort.

Lectures can sometimes be boring, but expectations of the class and required knowledge are crystal clear. Would have taken for other courses if I had known. The course material isn't easy, but as long as you do the hw and pay close attention to the examples done in class you are good to go. One of my favorite and least troublesome classes this term

best calc2 teacher at San Jacinto college

One of my favorite Professors ever taken, even with it being an online course. Took for both Cal 1 and Cal 2 and received A's in both. Be prepared to work because the material isn't easy, but all assignments/reviews are super helpful with learning it. Ask questions through email and virtual conference because he truly cares about his students.

I took Prof. Stockton for Linear Algebra. He is one of the best Math professors at San Jac. For the tests, go through all his lecture notes, reviews, and the past tests. If you have any questions, go to his office hours and he will explain you the concept. Be dedicated and you will earn a good grade.

Linear algebra is the easiest class I have ever taken.

Work full-time and did this one online. Stay ahead on HW. Got behind and couldn't catch up. As an online class I had to teach myself, would never have made it if i hadn't taken 1 and 2 before - this class will be a priority and will take AT LEAST 10-15 hrs a week to be successful. Online math sucks, proff is good

PROFESSOR STOCKTON IS THE BEST! He is such a clear, caring, and accessible teacher for a hard subject like Calculus. The material is certainly hard, and the homework is hefty most of the time, but he makes it incredibly easy to do well if you put in the work. Please take him if you can; I promise you won't regret it!

Professor Stockton is the best Math Professor ever. He provides you with lecture notes that have all the information and tests are very easy. I bet any student that takes his class will become successful in this course for sure.

I took him for Diff EQ last spring. He was easy to follow but if you don't understand something be sure to ask. The tests were fair a little on the tough side but not bad. Overall I was very happy with the course.

I took his Calculus 1 Online class on schedule, and it was fantastic. He explains everything so clearly and patiently ensures that we understand the material. He genuinely cares about his students' comprehension of the class and takes into consideration your grade if you've been paying attention. Highly recommend!

Professor Stockton was probably the best professor i have ever had, when coming into his class in the beginning i just came in to pass the class, but as the semester continued i found myself liking the material, the way he explains things is very clear.
