As close as you are going to get to a real Uinversity-level history class at EPCC. Not the easiest, but definitely the best. A real bargain. Excellent lectures, very well prepared.

This class is great for those who are going past the 2 year college to a 4 year college. As long as you read the book and study you are fine. His test do get hard but there that way to make sure that you know what you are talking about. Bottem line if you are lazy not for you. If you want to learn take this class!

Gives very clear instructions, unlike other professors. Grades work on effort and quality. Tests are not difficult, but make sure you read the chapter(s) beforehand.

Dr. Torok is the man!!! He's an awesome professor. I had the pleasure of taking him for both 1301 and 1302. I earned A's both semesters. He does expect you to read though so if that's not your thing, well you know.

The Best Professor I've seen on campus yet..!! This guy knows his stuff like the back of his hand.. His classes are pure lectures and no homework... If you're used to taking a lot of notes and read up on your work, this class is an easy A

Mr Torok is the best man. I took an online class and I can tell you that his test are very easy if you read. also, he is very helpful and a realistic teacher who knows that students have other courses and need to have time to study for the other courses

He is interesting but he only tells history from a white male point of view. He is all conservative so does not expose other aspects of history.

I am taking hybrid class with him I only have to go on Monday and W F was online, and the test you can bring one index card with all you want, and he ask for online quizzes with 3 attempts and it is easy to pass if you read before test and attendance is not mandatory but he gave points for going. :D I will take HIST 1302 with him again

Took this course online. Probably one of the easiest online courses i've ever had. You quiz on each chapter, which is open book and you can take it again for a higher score. Consisted of several essays that are super easy, just read the book and do work and you'll ace this class.

TAKE HIS CLAAAAASS. i really liked his class and i hate history, but he knows his stuff &loves the material so it's actually interesting. really nice too, i took it in the summer and we had to read a bit but it's nothing crazy. do it.

HES AMAZING! I took history 1301 and 1302 onlline with him, and theres no way to not pass that class!. the quizes are pieces of cake! they only contain like 5-7 questions that you find by reading some articles or looking at a video. The test contains 25 questions, and you have two hours and two attempts to take them. The best class online ever!

Very easy online class! There is weekly test and assignments but very simple. Test are timed at two hours which gives you more then enough time to pass them. Wanted to take him again but his class was hybrid.

I took Mr. Torok's online class. His syllabus and expectations were so crystal clear. All you have to do is follow them to get a good grade. There are chapter tests every week, quizzes and about 5 essays throughout the semester. He gives you enough time to complete them. I appreciated his speedy responses and feedback.

So far I like this professor. He's VERY clear in his lectures and VERY interesting. I actually get sad when he let's us out a few minutes early... LOL He really knows how to keep you listening and wanting to learn more. I just hope as the semester goes on it continues. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Dr. Torok is great. He follows his syllabus to the "T!" So, you know exactly what to expect. He assigns four essays throughout the semester and has a multiple choice test over each chapter. An amazing professor, took him over the summer and everything was a piece of cake but I actually felt like I learned something. Really just read and do the assignments and you can't fail. Put in the effort for the little bit that he makes you do and you can get an A like nothing.

DR. Torok is insightful on the chapters of the book. You will do 5 essays that are more like 5 questions. He takes a section of the chapter your on and uses it for the essay. One paragraph is needed to answer each question to the best of your knowledge. Notes are allowed during the essay. SO easy. I showed up one day a week blackboard hybrid class

He is a wonderful teacher as his lectures are clear and to the point. If you go to class and do your reading before the tests, you will have no problem passing. We used the book sometimes to read in class.

Took his online history 1301 class. If your looking for an easy A this is the class for you. No need to study just lookup the questions to his test on quizlet which he gives you 1 hour to complete and allows 2 retakes per test and type 3 good quality short essays and watch a few videos for a few web assignments through out the semester and boom A!

He is a damn good teacher when it comes to lectures. He is really enthusiastic and teaches well. However his class is pretty intimidating. His PowerPoints have no information lol. So you have to takes notes of whatever comes out of his mouth. His tests are pretty hard as he doesn't give out reviews. Didn't need to use the book as I took good notes.

Prof. Torok in my opinion is a really good teacher and is very passionate about history. Most of his notes are not on the PowerPoint, so you have to write what he says; he is a good explainer and sometimes over explains (which is great). You dont use the book all the time but he randomly has students use it one in awhile so do have it!

Professor Torok has been the best online professor ever. He has an assignment schedule that shows all the assignments and the dates that they are due. It is extremely easy to understand his plan. I missed one exam by a day, I brought it up to him via email, and he didn't hesitate to keep it open an extra day. I recommend him for sure!

The online class was very easy, 15 quizzes total, 4 media assignments (quizzes after reading or watching a video) and 4 web assignments (reading an article), 4 essays and 2 extra credit quizzes. That is all you have to do to get an A.

Took a hybrid class with him & he was very nice. One time I missed a deadline & I just emailed him and without hesitation he opened it back up for me. He'll work with you if you need help/an extension. Class was pretty easy, had a writing assignment in class every other week and a test online every week. 2 chances for extra credit.

The best history teacher, I took his hybrid course and it was pretty easy. Open book tests online every week, six shorts in class writing assignments and he let you use your notes, he offer extra credit to improve your grade. Easy A, not a reason to fail the course.

Great teacher overall. He seems to really care about his students learning. There are about 3 exams and the final which is not cumulative. There are several chances for extra credit. Attendance is a huge factor and it counts towards the overall grade. He posts the material in blackboard but the book is used for in class activities so you need it

Professor Torok is a great professor. He provides a clear syllabus and assignment schedule. There are a few weekly assignmnets however its nothing to hard. As long as you do the work you will pass. I would recommend to other students.

This professor knows what he's talking about! He is heavily invested in the subject of history. I took the hybrid class and when we had our weekly meetings his lectures are easy to understand and make you appreciate history. This was a hybrid class for me. One day a week for 30min b/c he would cut it short. There's 3-4 written in class assign. just write notes when he reviews over the sections that will be on the test. Mandatory attendance, and the only thing you need is to take notes of everything he says, in reality the exams are not based on the book only on what he speaks. So take very good notes. He makes you love history. No homework.

I took Professor Torok's class half online and half in class and let me tell you, he is an amazing Professor, he gives you many opportunities. Yyou can take your test/quizzes twice for a better grade. His classwork is easy, you just have to write about certain topics discussed. Book needed for class. Very lenient, he is the perf history professor.

Took his class online for the full spring semester, and his class was easy in my opinion. A few quizzes and article assignments each week. A total of four easy topic essays and gives good feedback. There was not really a final, instead, it was just a regular quiz which counted as the final assignment. Easy class and easy to communicate with.

Very easy. Total of 4 short & easy essays. About 2 assignments a week and took me maybe 30 minutes to complete both. He uploads a documentary video and you just follow along and answer 8-10 questions (not lockdown). Very easy class and he provides great feedback. You're also allowed multiple attempts with each assignment. Definitely recommend! :)

I enjoyed being in his class the assignments were pretty simple and tests were not too difficult as long as you read the textbook and took good notes. Gives great feedback on the essays you write and have a good amount of time normally 1 or two weeks. If you need a history credit would definitely recommend him for a professor.

You absolutely need that textbook. Half the course work is reading the chapter and taking a quiz on it. 5 Essays throughout the course. Not hard overall, just make sure to dedicate a few hours a week to get it done. If it's a summer class, you can get the next set of work done in about 5 hours the day it's due.

He is a fantastic teacher with accessible homework every week, and you just need to read the indicated chapter and make all the quizzes designed for each week. In the whole summer semester that I took, we only made 5 essays.

Professor Torok is a teacher who cares for his students and makes sure that everyone is on the correct assignment. He gives out extra credit and insists you to work hard and to not give up. There is quiz from the book but there is also a quiz from videos that you will see. You will also do essays which isnt a lot and he gives out great feedback.

This guy is great! Homework/tests are due last day of the month and you can submit anytime. I did a month work of work within a day or two. Very easy grader. Just do your reading. You have 5 essays in 16 weeks. Best teacher yet!

professor Torok's classes are really stress free, he opens modules once a month and gives you until the end of the month to finish them. He does test you on every chapter from the textbook but many are found on quizlet and if not in the book for sure. He gives two 550 word essays and one 6 page essay that counts as your major grade. 100% recommend

Prof. Torok was fast-paced, resulting in lectures that - while genuinely taught me a lot - could be a bit hard to keep up with. He was very clear about deadlines, but also a pretty strict grader without much explanation for what was missed on tests/written assignments. Above all else, I cannot stress enough not to procrastinate on the final paper.

It was always interesting to learn about a new subject; his lecture PowerPoint provided keywords that were helpful on what to study for tests. Tests included lecture-based content. I took this professor because of all the positive reviews, but I wouldn't retake him. There are 12 tests, each of 30 QUESTIONS, also 5 essays, and 16 quizzes. I'm terrible at history classes, but I honestly want to say that he is a fantastic teacher overall; attendance IS mandatory to pass the tests, all the assignments are on paper, and he gives credit for attendance. Very few assignments, most of them were about the lectures, and all of the information he provides in the lecture comes from the book.
