He just reads his notes all class, you learn nothing
Not a good teacher. He's not a hard marker, but the marking doesn't make sense..
very nice old man. he is helpfull and teaches well. he prepares yu well. i recommend yu take him if yu have no other choice. howveer fomr experience there are alot better ecn teachers in concordia. he is still a good teacher
nice guy, good teacher
this guy is a great teacher!
He has a huge accent, his class is extremely boring, very unfair grading for exams, doesn't explain well and not helpful at all. Worst teacher I have ever got.
Althrough he has a storng accent, he is a very good teacher. He explains things very clearly and always summurize which you have studied before. His assignment will prepare you well for the exam.
on of the BEST. his exams are very easy, theyre exactly like the assignments
He's an excellent teacher.
Don't take this guy as a teacher. There is absolutely no structure to his teaching, he's all over the place, and will force to you memorize equations that are redundant. I can't understand anything he's teaching, and I ALREADY took the course in CEGEP.
strong accent, strict, approachable, passionate of his class
HARDEST MIDTERM EVER. tries to get as many people as possible to drop his class. has the thickest and most unbearable accent.confuses himself easily, hes all over the board. Dont count on him for anything!! My GPA is horrible because of this class and i busted my balls off
Very good teacher. He challenges his students on the midterm but if you do the assignments and pay attention there should be no problem and he is a very fair marker. I recommend taking him if you dont mind a little challenge.
his class is difficult but he is a very passionate teacher, his exams are tricky but he is an easy marker.
This teacher hasn't got a clue. He obviously knows the material himself, but how does that help you? The mid-term is too long to fully complete, and the final? I thought I walked out of there killing it with an 80, at least. I got my mark, C+, which means either i got 40, or he can't grade
Midterm and final are way to hard, he's a nice guy , but doesnt teach in an effective way
yes he has an accent but you can still understand what he is saying. his methods are a little weird but they work. if you go to class and do well on your assignments you will pass the class. people seem to think this is an easy class but it isnt at all. i recommend
While he seems to genuinely like his course, he has difficulty projecting that interest. He seems helpfull but I descovered that he is not all that friendly after class. A good teacher if you are ready to memorize and practice nothing else. Not a disaster, but avoid him if you can.
He has some accent. But he explains every problems very clear.
He made the midterm impossible to complete in class, but he adjusted the marks. The final wasn't very hard. He's very kind, very helpful. I got an A+ - if you study hard, it'll definitely pay off!
Great teacher. He teaches well, and if you really listen in his class, you would understand what he's talking about. I think he marks well, and he is very nice, although he could get angry when you keep talking about something he has repeated like a lot of times
he's a very nice guy, loves to help his students, the material is pretty hard though
He is a really nice man, always willing to help out his students any way he can. Do the assignmnets and the study guide and you will pass the exams no problem.
His assignments are easy, exams aren't too tough either. If you put in the effort you can expect to do well! Doesn't convey material that well but the book is very clear and useful, buy it.
Great Professor. Always available. Best teacher ever, but you must work hard.
Wonderful guy, teaches very well, and if you work you'd reap. He makes the otherwise very hard class relatively simple. I would recommend him anytim
Very good class. Excellent teacher. Not hard to get at least a B
his explanations are not clear, he jumps from one subject to the other, hard assignments, but easy exams.. but u get a good grade if u study A LOOOOOOOOOOT.. by urself..
he's a really nice guy always helping students, just show him that you are working hard for the course and he will help you
Bad teacher, he writes all over the board, yells when you try to ask a question and gives hard mid-terms. Finals are more easy though. However, bad sense of temper and sometimes not understandable. Beware!
this teacher is painfully horrible. He is moody, strict and expects you to know every little detail in the book. Horrible exams.... not a lot of practice and hard marker. Will not compromise on grade division. Take class with deprishard
Not the most organized prof, doesn't always use class time as efficiently as he could, but a really nice guy. Will go out of his way to help students who ask for it, and seems to genuinely care about his students doing well. Good prof as long as you don't expected to just be handed an A.
GOOD JOB!!

He's an amazing teacher... he's funny, very clear, and as long as you attend all his classes and pay attention you will learn 80% of the class material just by listening to his lectures.
This teacher should demonstrate how all professors should run at Concordia. People who think he is hard, think that because they do not work. Excuse me it's statistics your taking this class knowing their is work involved. He is extremely helpful, organized , inspiring and like he says their are never any suprises! GREAT TEACHER!
terrible teacher avoid him if you can .... although he tries to be helpful he is hopeless at explaining anything... paranoid about you coming to class but you dont learn anything anyway... tough marker.... you will only learn if you study by yourself and with his kind of marking this is barely enoough..... take nick debiparshard
Great teacher!!!
If you put the work into this subject, it will pay off. I found the class very satisfying.
Worst professor ever. He can't teach at all and he only knows how to read his projector. I learn more from other students graduated in Economics than him.
medium / easy class....there is work involved so if u think its an easy class stay away there is alot of math ...the teacher is good...especially if your a girl u can get nice explanations :D also if u cant understand someone with an accent u might be lost at some times

although he might seem a little bit tough and intimidating, he's a nice guy. he sometimes screams at us (when we're too noisy), but only because he's passionate about what he's teaching. statistical methods is really hard, but tsoublekas is there to help us and he's doing a great job.
Talk a lot, no teaching, no manners...you can only learn from the book. His notes are not helpful
HORRIBLE TEACHER! ...SCREAMS AT YOU, NO MANNERS, REALLY...NO MANNERS, VERY RUDE TO STUDENTS, YELLS FOR NO REASON. HARD EXAMS WITH NO COURSE RELEVANCE. AVOID BAD.
Yes he yells at you. Yes he's not the most approachable person. Even his exams and assignments are hard. However he will mark you leniently on the exam plus for the final you won't be screwed like the other sections which basically did the test with the teacher. Remember that this is a challenging course before judging him based on your grade.
don't let the funny greek accent foul you! this guy is not helpful at all. he talks random**** in class and then the assignments are really hard. go to his office hours and u'll get yielled at the whole time and made to feel like u're stupid. people aren't joking when they said he's an ass!

Had him last semester, Not the easiest teacher during the semester BUT when you get to the final,WOW he REALLY preps you, DO the assignements AHEAD of time, GET a good partner todo them with and you will breez through the class, NOT FOR SLACKERS!!!!!
He is a really good and fair teacher .. he explains everything clearly, has more office hours than any professor does..to all who said he was a horrible professor they must be really lazy inconsidarable students.
Great communicator in his explanations during lectures, communicates well during office hours help. When he sees a student's potential being wasted, he is direct in tell it as so.
Not bad. Better attend all his classes and, in case of a problem, check the textbook. Then you won't have to ask for his assistance in his office hour and that's good (his patience is very, very limited). No practice = no good grade. Assignments are tough, but final grading is fair. Funny greek accent indeed. Tutor (some anonymous coward) sucked.
Mr Tsoublekas is an amazing teacher. He is really helpful and prepares you well for the mid term and the final. And, he is patient, just don't be lazy ...
He is an amazing teacher, prepares you well for the assignment, midterm and finals. He is really patient and always ready to help you.
Prof. Tsoublekas puts his students first. The man is extremely knowledgeable and is willing to help whenever you need it. His test can be tricky, and he does not give away marks......just read the textbook cover to cover, go to class; and there is no reason why you shouldn't achieve and A or A+....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
really good teacher, id take him again no matter what
This teacher is amazing. He is crystal clear about the material and show detailed examples in class that will greatly help you to solve assignments and exams. I recommand him to all. Ps. He is the most helpful teacher I have seen at Concordia. Always ready to help his students.
He is indeed not an easy prof. assignmnet and midterm r tricky but he makes the course interesting. eaches so well that u can use ur notes to study n no need to take his tone of voice personally it's just the way he speaks. the best prof i've had for years!!!
This is a hard course, so you have to keep up, do all the tutorials and examples in the book. George is the best teacher to take for this course, he has tons of office hours. Don't be intimidated and he will help you more than any other teacher!
He's the best teacher I ever had. Very helpful and always available for his class. He knows what he's talking about.. adorable and funny :)
very good professor. Passionate, helpful, accessible, and eager to help his students. If you attend all the class and listen to him, it's easy to get A. highly recommend
best teacher ever. this guys knows his stuff and is so passionate about helping any student learn. he is tough so go to class and do all the assignments. this guy is super nice and if you have any questions, he won't quit until you understand
It's hard to define him.Lots hate him, others love him. I particularly found him a good teacher. Not the best:h is accent may be a bit hard to understand, and sometimes he doesn't go over important things. However,he's very approachable, cares about his students.Compared to others profs in Econ, he's fairly good.
Overall, he's a good teacher. Always eager to help you, encourages questions and funny in class. It is sometimes hard to understand him though.. his notes are a bit messy but listen in class, do the tutorials, ask questions and u'll be good
he explains really well and care about every single student. He stops every 15 minutes and ask us if we have questions all the time. Great teacher who gives great detailed explanation. His midterm are as hard as the final but if you practice a lot it helps.
Great prof! Just like somebody commented below, treats us like his children. His lectures are clear and straightforward, just follow his lectures and notes you'll be fine.
i got stuck with stats with him.... and all I can be prepared for the adventure of your life. He makes things so complicated and confusing, and his marking is very critical i remember the class avergae was D lol and he blamed the students
He's a nice prof, but I still dont understand his nots about stats!!
Great prof! If you want to understand economics you should pick him. Before his class I didn't know anything. Recommend 100%
really knowledgeable and ready to help if student shows some efforts
Amazing teacher, explains everything clearly and nice when you ask him for help.
Good teacher and person but I believe the course load is too much to learn simply by attending lectures. Read through the book, understand concepts and relations between them. The course is great in offering study group help and online tutorials, potential A if you put the grind in.
He is an Economics prodigy, yet he manages to be entertaining and understandable. As a result, his lectures are far richer in content than any material available, making attendance an asset. Macroeconomics seemed beyond difficult, yet I made it out alive even with limited time that I had, all thanks to this guy!
Very nice prof. Easy to get along with, tries to make economic jokes but sometimes I find myself falling asleep. He is always there after class for people to ask him questions. His accent is somewhat difficult to understand. Overall he is clear about the material but don't expect an entertaining course.
At the start of the year I found myself struggling to listen- mainly because I didn't put the effort in. When I started to actually pay attention, George quickly became my favourite professor this semester. His passion and energy are just a couple of the many reasons I'll be taking him next semester. Definitely recommend.
One of the most respectful professors In Concordia. Econ-203 is not an easy course ,and yet George explains it so well so you can actually understand it,and breath ECON! As well as in a funny way. At the office hours,He likes to see that the student handles the prominent Ideas . If you go to his office hours he will actually help you a lot !
Great teacher who is there for his students. I think everyone should have to take this course. It gives you a great understanding on the Quebec economic situation. All those stupid Red squares should take this course to you can understand what the hell you are doing.
He is a really good teacher. He explains really well and really wants his students to understand the material. Although I used the SOS book to help me, his notes are also very good. His midterm was rather easy(50 mc do past midterms and tutorials and you're set)and final is hard so make sure you study extra hard for that. Put in the effort, easy A
one of the best teachers in JMSB he has good and detailed notes. you do not have to read the text book. he knows his materials and explains really well. his exams are fair
assignments (4) were long to do... he gives a lot of examples... he doesn't tell you exactly what to study for tests
First midterm was tough, but once you get to know his style you realize that it's pretty easy! The material he chooses is pretty interesting and current. Overall I really enjoyed his class. He will boost your grade if you improve through the semester! Can't get more generous
i didn't like him as a prof
Awesome! Course content is very interesting and prof. Tsoublekas will help you very much to get a good grade. If you put in the effort into his course you will get the grade you want. I would take him again without hesitating
This prof cares, he wants you to pass. Overall he explains the material well and provides lots of examples, although sometimes his explanations can be unclear due to his accent. Just show up to class, listen, do a little homework every week, and you'll be fine.
Rude. Absolutely rude and an unfair marker. He might seem nice until you get your midterms back and treats you like garbage. I worked my butt off for the first mid term and failed miserably. So did half the class. BEWARE
George is an old fashioned teacher, but he is so smart and experienced. Engages and helps his students pass.
He is truly a nice man, just often over complicates things. Econ 203 is easy at the beginning, so his pace is understandable, but when it gets tough near the end of the semester, he goes way too fast. He gives notes, but you'll need to attend lectures to be able to understand everything properly. Again, nice guy, but not the best for this course.
Great man, very kind and loving. He goes over material very fast sometimes, so if you don't go to class, good luck. Maybe not the best for econ203.
Excellent teacher, gives a lot of examples and gives notes you can print out before class. Definitely take this teacher you won't regret it.
I loved taking this class with this prof! Even though the class itself is not that easy, he made every lecture so interesting that I people in class would really listen! There is no textbook and M. George provides students with all materials needed. just print the notes before class and add comments on them (really helps)! A lot of memorisation...
this teacher is very dedicated when he speaks but he is very monotone and doesn't explain anything clearly. i always have to do my own research at home on each chapter. his explanations are unclear. the textbook is also unclear. what help is youtube videos on the subject. i barely retain anything when he explains in class. also his notes are all ov
Amazing teacher! He truly cares about the student's success. Take him !
George is AMAZINGG, would take him again if i could. he is always clear and he is always available if you email him to make an appoinment even if its not duing his office hours. He is veryyyyy fair in his marking. Overall, he's wonderful!
Old man with a thick Greek accent teaching in an auditorium. Doesn't understand how to use the projector. Online assignments. I didnt go to the class after 3rd lecture and I passed
He posts practice problems that are identical to the ones on the exams, compiles typed notes instead of having us buy a book, simplifies concepts like a master, and provides a list of specific topics covered on the midterms. He'll even console you during office hours in case the fact that it all seems too good to be true sends you into panic mode
Attended class every week until the midterm & used his notes, when I realized that George does not provide half the formulas required to complete tutorial problems or lab problems. He does a lot of in real life economics context in class and draws on his papers, but not much more. He's getting old, but he's still a sharp guy! Just not useful.
Prof. Tsoublekas is honestly the best teacher I encountered in Concordia so far, passionate, awesome and helps his students. ECON 318 in my opinion is an important course, highly recommend everyone to take it .. but it's a heavy course by nature so get ready to attend all classes and understand the selected topics before the exams you'll be fine.
Prof. Tsoublekas is one of my favorites, really cares about his students. He explains everything really well and makes things easy to memorize because he makes sure you understand them. Going to class is necessary otherwise it'll be harder. Would take again!
