This was a great professor! She was very helpful, answered emails promptly, and was always available for help. Would recommend this class to anyone. Gave lots of extra credit. Test were easy.

Great prof! Easy to talk to, always ready to help, makes the discussions lively and always lets you know exactly what you need to know for tests and how to do well on papers. Just don't walk in thinking its a easy A. You need to know the material and she expects you to know what you are talking about!

Very good professor. You do need to read the book, but the tests can be passed without. I received B's and higher on her tests and never touched the book once. She offers extra credit and her lectures are very easy to take notes from. Has a project at the end that is kind of difficult, but not too bad (just time consuming). Fun Class! Worth it!

I took this class online and it is an easy A! Great teacher with quick responses with any problems. As long as you keep up with the discussion boards and do well on the exams you are good to go! She gives a test after each chapter and they are only 25 questions. 1 book review and 1 scholarly article. Easy class, highly recommended!

Mrs. Bianchi was very helpful, I loved this class. For me, I did not read the textbook, but DO IT lol The textbook IS THE TEST. But overall, easy class, take it, loved her, the class, everything.

Prof. Bianchi is so nice! I've taken her in the past on campus for Intro Sociology and she is extremely fair. Marriage and Family did require you to write a 5 page paper on a book chosen out of a list she provides. Other than that light work load!

She was an awesome professor, she helped out A LOT. There really was not much work put into the course. Mostly what we did was a case study where we had to collect our own data, but that was fun.

Ms. Bianchi is fantastic! She's very prompt in responding to emails, she is willing to answer any questions, and she's very pleasant. The assignments were cool, but you had to be sure to submit one part of it by Wednesday and the other by Friday, however only the Friday due date was marked on the calendar so just look out. 1010 would take again.

Took this class online for Fall A. There are discussion posts, 3 exams, and a 5 page paper due. Book is needed. Professor Bianchi is well organized and you know what you need to do for the whole class; she responds quickly. Material is interesting and extra credit available. Great class!

Prof Bianchi is such an awesome teacher. She emails you back promptly and will help you with whatever you need. You do need the book and there are responses due every week, but if you do a decent job you will get a good grade. Great class to take for Fall A or B and get an A in. Highly recommended!

Great teacher ! There is CH readings every week so be prepared to read. The Quizzes though are kinda difficult, you basically have to know the CH's from front to back. Each exam is over 4-5 CH's. She gives a Exam review sheet but ins't helpful at all, honestly. She's very nice though and will help you in any way she can !!

Professor Bianchi is great! She will work with you if you understand something and is very clear about assignments. She did one or two pop quizzes but they were easy if you had been paying attention in class. I would definitely take this class again!

Dr. Bianchi was a great professor! She responds to your emails or questions in a timely manor. I took this class online so I don't know how she is in class. Her online class was very structured. 3 exams, 1 Discussion post assignment a week (includes 2 posts and 4 replies). Exams are pretty difficult. I would definitely recommend her though!

Professor Bianchi is the most amazing professor I have had so far, and this is my 4th semester at SF. This is the 2nd class I have taken with her and she has been truly inspiring. When I began at SF I was a business major but switched to Sociology after taking Marriage and Family with her. She is very clear with grading and will help you out!

Professor Bianchi was a good professor. She was very caring and dedicated to her students. She was a little unclear in terms of grading and what it took to get a good grade in her class but the assignments themselves are pretty straight forward. She always showed up with a good attitude which I liked. Overall, it was an easy class to take.

Prof. Bianchi is a nice prof. and organized in her course setup. Every week you do a module which consists of reading a chapter (best to skim) and viewing the links she provides followed by a discussion posting (250 words + 2 replies). You must try for the discussions to earn full 20 points. 3 exams, not too bad. 1 book review 5pg. Hard work A

Prof. Bianchi was great. She is truly passionate at teaching Sociology. I would recommend her over and over again! Don't get behind on homework. That could be the difference between you passing and failing. Online tests.

TAKE HER. She is an amazing professor and I learned so much from this class. Her class is not lecture based but is class discussion based. Everything we talk about is interesting and fun, and you never will find yourself bored in class. She's really caring and funny as well.

One of the easiest classes you will ever take. 5 HW assignments that are quick and easy. 3 Exams that are mostly common sense questions. Attendance isn't mandatory although some questions on the exam are on short video's we watch in class. Super easy class and if you ever miss a HW there is extra credit she's more than willing to give to you

I took this Professor for Spring term and It was one of my favorite class. She makes learning fun and and makes Sociology engaging. Watch videos, slide shows, and she puts together her lectures with information on the internet. We actually do use our textbooks so it won't be a waste of money buying the textbook. Show up, take good notes, study PAS

Georgia Bianchi is hands down the best professor I've ever had. She makes class interesting, & as long as you do the work, you will pass. There's discussions every week, 3 exams, 1 book report & 2 chances for extra credit & they weren't hard as long as you tried! She's extremely caring & a genuinely great person. TAKE THIS CLASS YOU WONT REGRET IT

Dr. Bianchi CARES about her students and is very ORGANIZED. Took a minimester: 6 posts/week, 3 tests, 1 book analysis. I wasn't super crazy about Mar & Fam, the SFC explanation wasn't too clear. To me It's a comparison of MODERN family types & intimacy.

I took her mini-semester of 6 weeks online and it was a pretty good class. Professor Bianchi really does care about her students and if you put in the effort, you'll do well. I didn't purchase the textbook for this course but if you read all the articles and videos she attaches you could do just as well.

She's a great professor and you will definitely learn a lot if you take her class, doesn't give too many assignments and exams are really easy if you pay attention in class and read the chapters from the online book. Funny teacher and very lenient!

Prof Bianchi was the best! Her assignments had very clear instructions, and so long as you attempt every assignment you can count on receiving an A. Shes definitely one of those professors who will work with you and help you if you have any questions or issues!

Awesome lady! Definitely recommend her. Shes thoughtful, sweet, funny, and very helpful. The workload is spread out and manageable, but can become overwhelming if you do not read your novel for your 5 page book analysis from the start of class. No final, only 3 exams and they're online, at home and fairly easy. The group project is fun!

One of my favorite professors yet! Bianchi is very well spoken, I actually enjoyed listening to her speak. She is also absolutely beautiful, caring and wants you to pass. She is a fair grader, she usually won't take points off if you do the assignment right. I loved her class, and received an A because I did the work. It wont require a lot of work.

Solid professor. You will have a 5 page paper on a book analysis you will have to read outside of class. Its not really a marriage and family, its more about gender, sexuality, and how society is changing. If you miss class you may miss something you may not, just depending on the the lectures

I took this class online and it is very easy as long as you do the discussion posts every week. If they are in depth and not surface level then you get full credit every week. There is one five page essay which I was worried about, but it only took me a few hours and I got a 100.

Prof Bianchi is an easy professor and very caring. She's always willing to help and even proofread things before you turn them in. There is a book review paper but you have 3 months to do it and she's an easy but fair grader. Group project as well but so long as your powerpoint looks good and you fit the 10 minute mark, you'll get an A!

Professor Bianchi is nothing short of amzaing. She is straight the point and is clear about her expectations. There are 3 test in the course, and if you study you will pass. There is a book analysis but you have a lot of time to work on it and asf questions, if needed. I would recommend her class to everyone who has to take it.

She's a fantastic professor all around. Showing up to class is not mandatory, but on her exams you will see questions about stuff from lecture (like the TED talks we watched). She assigns homework, but nothing hard, and she even gives feedback. Fun person to listen to, she almost makes you want to engage in class. I highly recommend her :)

I LOVE Georgia Bianchi! She's an amazing professor. She has a textbook but it's free! Also, 3 exams on Canvas, no final, one big paper (but she breaks it up into steps), discussion posts, and reflections due every so often. She is super sweet and understanding. I reached out to her about a due date conflict and she understood! HIGHLY recommend!!

BEST PROFESSOR EVER. She is the sweetest human being in the world. I had a lot of struggles getting things done on time, and she always let me turn it in late. That does not mean take this class for that reason, but she is just so understanding when it comes to what is going on in your personal life. Easy grader. Exams are easy. BEST woman ever.

I took this class for elective credit and could honestly say Professor Bianchi gave an easy workload, as well as curriculum. Her assignments were straightforward and basically, if you completed them, you got an A.

I loved this class! Yes, the textbook was long but to be honest the information was simple. Weekly discussions, three reflections, and only 3 exams that were mainly common sense. The paper was easy and actually fun to write. Once again I loved this class and Professor Bianchi was amazing. She is so sweet and a great professor!

This class was enjoyable for me! Professor Bianchi is as flexible as you need her to be. Towards the beginning of the semester, I was in contact with her and towards the end her class was more independent and self paced. Assignments aren't hard because they are discussion posts and shes clear about grading! Neither are exams if you prepare!

For my Final Semester at a Freshman, Professor Bianchi is one of the best Sociology Professors there is!

I took the class online, so we didn't meet in person, but she seems very nice. Online class was easy imo, however, you won't get away with short little discussion posts. Discussion posts based on the book were the main assignments, and sometimes they would take a while because I needed to watch a documentary or another long video.

Professor Bianchi was my favorite teacher this semester! She is very caring and class is very interactive and fun. You have a one page paper to write around every week or so and then a group project at the end of the semester as your final (on the topic you choose). I would definitely take her again if I could!

I took this professor in the Summer A Term in 2022, even though it was Six Weeks Lol.... I am currently taking her in SYG2000 for the Spring 2023 Semester and I gotta say this, She is the absoutely most nicest Sociology Professor I have ever met and in my life, and this is my last time I will ever take her again... I will miss her very much.

Professor Bianchi was one of the best professors I have taken while at SF. I had her for SYG2000, we had a weekly discussion and one paper over the whole semester. Overall, her class is easy but make sure to be detailed in the discussion posts, she does assign various long documentaries that you do have to watch for the discussions.

I highly recommend Dr.Bianchi, she genuinely cares about her students, the homework and quizzes are concise and her class lectures are interesting and fun to learn about.

Professor was very sweet and the assignments were informative. Assignments are pretty lengthy, but it is manageable. One essay to write, but you have pretty much until the end of the semester to complete it. I would definitely take another course from her.

This class is made for people who are willing to learn and become educated on topics such as sexuality, etc. Definitely would take again! A lot of writing but manageable.

This class was great! Dr. Bianchi's online class consists of weekly discussion posts, 3 reflections (which are short), 3 easy tests, and 1 manageable project. She doesn't "shove" politics down your throat like other people claimed. She uses material from experts. Also, she is flexible with deadlines if you have health issues and reach out to her.

Professor Bianchi was a great professor. The class is mostly discussions with the occasional quiz and one major project, but the project allows for a lot of freedom in choosing a topic and the type of project you'd like to submit. She was very nice and had lots of office hours.

Very laid back class. The final project was a presentation, it was science fair style. There were three quizzes which had around 37ish questions and 4-5 were write in questions. I think she was a very good teacher, definitely recommend

Being an older student who wasn't used to online courses, she was very forgiving and worked with me the first couple of weeks to help me get use to online classes. I would take her again if I needed to.
