She goes way to fast through her power points which don't even give you all the information you need for the test. I never scored well on her tests and the only reason I did well overall was because of the lab. She randomly calls on people and is a strange person in general. She treats her students like their little kids. I do not recommend!!

She, in my opinion is not a good teacher at all. She does not allow the class time to take notes in class and makes promises to post powerpoints before class but never does. She is inconsistent and does not explain the material well. I would not take another class taught be her at all! I like her as a person but not as a professor.

AVOID THIS PROFESSOR. Not helpful and it is impossible to score a good grade on her tests. The majority of the class is struggling, help sessions are not useful, and she doesn't do a good job at all on teaching. You must teach yourself everything. This class is for non-majors and I feel like I'm working more for this class than all my others.

SHE IS IMPOSSIBLE. I'm currently studying for an exam and the study guideactive reading guide is roughly 200 pages for 2 chapters. Not to mention we haven't learned half of the material on it. Do not take her unless you're a mad genius on all aspects of biology.

This was the worst class I have ever taken. The quizzes, lectures, and exams are completely unrelated and I would not suggest her as a teacher to someone I hated. If you want the toughest gen ed available this would be the class for you. She is not a good teacher and no matter how much you study you won't do well.

This woman is the worst teacher I have ever had. I have never hated a class more in my life. None of the topics discussed in class are relevant to the chapter or the tests. The tests are all impossible and cover overly specific topics that are mentioned once in the book. No matter how much you study you probably wont get a good grade.

Terrible teacher, tests are hard and you have to teach the material to yourself. The concepts are not that hard to understand but she doesn't explain them correctly. 8 exams throughout the semester, which means an exam every two weeks while still covering a lot of material. It doesn't help if you go to her office hours, she'll make you feel stupid.

I have never had more trouble in a class than I have in this one. My grades in other classes started to fall bc I spent so much time focusing on her class. PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. She is a nice person but not a good teacher. This class is a lot of work to even end with a C.

Saunders is the worst professor at Missouri State. Nothing on her lectures and power points are ever on the test. She states multiple times throughout the course that we only need to know general concepts but then asks us the most specific, detailed questions on tests. Definitely way harder than a general ed course should be. Got D's on every test.

NO NO NO. I took this class as a non-bio major, and it was seriously awful, even when I went to her for help multiple times. Her tests are nothing like the lectures or study guides. She does give some extra credit towards the end of the semester, which is what saved my grade. If you aren't interested in Biology DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.

Mrs. Saunders is definitely one of the worst professors I've ever had. None of her power points match her tests, she gives short answered quizzes every other week as well as tests. There's no point of going to the lecture b/c none of it's on the test. She also calls randomly on people. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS YOU WILL FAIL!!

She was extremely disorganized, unclear, gave uninteresting lectures, and didn't communicate clearly what was on the test. I never used the book and barely paid attention but took ANAT & PHYS and MICRO and did well before transferring to MSU so nothing in the class was new to me. While it was easy for me, it was not for others in the class.

This was an absolutely miserable class to take. Tests were over her lectures but her lectures were always all over the place. I took this glass as a gen ed and barely passed by the skin of my teeth. I would not recommend taking Saunders to even the highest level of student. Migraines after each class.

Worst teacher I've ever had! She didn't have a textbook, instead used the PowerPoints from lecture classes, which were unanswered questions and had us read current articles online. Her tests had about 1/4 of what we read from PowerPoints and articles, apparently you should just know everything going into this 100 level non-Bio degree class. BAD!!!!

Dr. Saunders was a fairly awful teacher. She changed her mind and testing material almost every class, and she would test over things we had never talked about. She was not respectful when students asked questions during class, and often made them feel stupid in front of everyone. She made us take an exam the class before the final.

She has no idea what she's talking about. The only reason I passed the class is because she dropped everyone's lowest test and quiz. I emailed her with questions and instead of answering my questions she asked me different questions that had nothing to do with what I was confused about. Did not change her in-class Powerpoints for her online-only students. Each Powerpoint would contain 4 or 5 questions for class discussion with absolutely no answers for the online version. Often forgot to post mandatory readings that were essential to assignments. Would use professional-level jargon and explain after assignment what the word meant.

Oh professor Sanders, what a semester it has been. there were times I didn't think I would be able to wake in the morning knowing I had your class later that day. While I may never be the same due to the absolute trauma sustained just from sitting in your lectures, I do believe I have a better, stronger person for having endured your class.

This class was ridiculously hard, it was way to hard for a starter biology class. Every single person who i have talked to is either failing or has a low D, she does drop the lowest test and quiz grade but honestly the tests and quizzes are so hard that it doesn't even help much. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!

THIS CLASS IS VERY HARD. She reads from the powerpoints and doesn't explain topics well. The class is based on the grades from your test and the tests rarely cover things she actually taught.

She just rambles about whatever she feels like. Then the tests feel like she is trying to trick you the entire time. She doesn't care if anyone knows what the heck she's talking about, she just goes on. Tells you to look up everything you actually need to know online for yourself.

Participation points are taken on TopHat, you HAVE to show up for this class or otherwise you will most definitely fail. The entire grade book is quizzes and tests. Quizzes are completely essay questions. Tests are multiple choice, but even studying your hardest, you won't know the answers. She is not personable and doesn't care if you do well.

This course is graded mainly on tests and discussions. The material on the test rarely is anything she teaches. This is one of the hardest classes I've ever taken which is sad considering it is a Gen Ed. Would not suggest taking a class with her.

Professor Saunders is terrible. She should not be teaching a GEN ED class she honestly shouldn't be teaching at all. Her test are almost nothing taught, in the vocab or in the book, and her quizzes are graded unfairly and terrible. Easily the worst teacher I've had in my life.

If you were to combine every comment from every other post about Dr. Saunders on here, I can confirm it is 110% true. Definitely a no go! I was a straight A student in high school coming into college thinking my Gen Eds I will be able to manage, but this class makes me want to throw up every time I walk into her lecture.

She will not answer any emails or questions. She can be very disrespectful towards students, and is amazing at wasting time. Also the quizzes and tests are hard because her lectures are irrelevant because she is usually off topic. This class should not be a gen ed, and I dont recommend taking this course with this teacher.

If youve never taken online courses, DONT start with this one. Shes incredibly unorganized and does not post at the same time or even on the same day each week. Each weeks assignments and lectures are swamped with readings and extra videos that become overwhelming and confusing. The assignments also seem poorly put together at times

I would not recommend her as an instructor to anyone. She is extremely unorganized with her work and does not teach. Her only aid was to read the 430 page book and gave a "study guides" too vague to help. In addition, most assignments were busy work that did not flow with the class. I could've saved my money and bought the book and learned more.

I am going to be brutally honest. This is the third online class I have taken, and its the worst I have ever experienced. The fact that biology has to be so cryptic due to the professor purposely making it difficult, is so upsetting. If you like unhelpful professors and like to do poorly on exams, have poor to no study guides, then take this class.

Georgianna is not only a bad Professor but she is also a terrible person. She truly does not care about her students learning in class or success outside of school. She deserves to be fired.

Absolute worst professor. Very unorganized. Lectures for hours on things that aren't even on the test. There have been several times that she says we need to know something for the test and it isn't on the test at all. Also, just rude and calls people out.

Very unorganized. There is material on the tests and quizzes that don't make sense. She reads off powerpoints in class, but the information is never helpful for the tests. It's pointless to attend the class because all that is taught is on an accessible powerpoint. Would not recommend.

I had her for BIO101 which is just a GenEd and she was a horrible professor! She makes sure her tests are tricky and purposefully tries to mess you up. The tests and quizzes always had some sort of spin to them. She also assigns an absurd amount of homework for a GenEd class.

Extremely unorganized, doesn't know what's on her slides half the time or how to use the programs she needs for the class. I attended every lecture and learned nothing. Tests you in a way that's intentionally confusing and often forgoes main ideas.

This is a service learning course where I was supposed to go to a high school and observe a teacher. I did not start my observations until the 4th month of the semester & barely got any time in an actual classroom. Communication was awful. She would not reach out to the schools until I asked if she had. Was supposed to have 40 hours & only got 10.

This professor is the worst teacher I have ever had. You will have to teach yourself all of the content. She continually lectures incorrect information and is extremely disorganized. Saunders is the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. Don't get me wrong the class itself is very easy, as long as you do the homework's and take notes on your own time. But she has no idea what she's talking about and makes easy concepts unnecessarily hard. I had Herring for lab, and she is amazing. Take it with her instead if you can.

Lectures are confusing and misleading. You WILL need to read the textbook on your own time and use that as your main preparation for the test in order to do well. SO- If you're self-disciplined enough, you CAN get an A in this class. Each test is over a chapter in the textbook. Extra credit given occasionally. Attendance was in-class-writings.

Be prepared to do your homework in class because she will not teach you anything valuable during class and you will teach your self. Have to read the textbook to do good, and the homework will take you a very long time. Her voice is extremely slow and will put you to sleep.

The online homework will teach you more than she will. She does grade attendence even though you will not learn anything in class. Reading the book will help you the most on test. I wouldn't take notes because they are word for word out of the book.

Makes the class to heavy for a simple BIO 101 class and not interesting at all. She is an oceanographer so she will want you to learn lots of nature and such so keep this in mind if you are more into human body/basic bio. It is a heavy class for Gen Ed it is possible to get a good grade but her teaching is no good because lectures are pointless.

She goes into too much detail when it is only a 101 class, says very specific things and expects you to remember it all, will ask questions on the test that were never discussed, extra credit was only offered a couple of times and even then, it was stuff we never learned. SO much homework that took many hours to complete.

The lecture doesn't match up with the tests or homework. Use the book and homework to prepare for tests. There is a lot of information in the chapter and she doesn't make it clear what the test will be over.

Dr Saunders was a very nice person in class but fell short during teaching. Powerpoints in class vaguely relate to what you read in the textbook which makes the assignments harder. These assignments take up hours of time with normally 2-3 assignments of 50-100 questions for only 25 points. If you want to waste time teaching yourself take this class

Professor Saunders doesn't actually teach, she just reads off PowerPoints from the textbook. Classes were pointless, but attendance is worth 25% of your grade. The homework was the only thing that helped me study. The tests were based on small details we barely, or didn't, talk about. I had never been in a class with so many "technological" errors.

This is not too hard of a course to get a good grade in. Though Saunder's lectures are boring and don't help with anything, she is always lost and has no clue what she is saying. As long as you study the presentations she has posted, attend every day for attendance points, and do the extra credit. You should be fine but she is not a good professor.

Saunders refused to admit when she made a major mistake with our attendance grades. She argues with the students and won't accept a correct answer if it is not worded directly how she wants it. Her lectures are incredibly boring, sometimes awkward, and rarely relate to the test materials. Tests take forever to finally get graded.

SEVERAL students pointed out they had been to class every day since the beginning of the semester, and had attendance grades ranging from 50-87%. Saunders dismissed all concern. So even if you show up... it doesn't matter! Take it with anyone else

Dr. Saunders takes attendance through having each student in a 100+ student class turn in a piece of paper with answers to questions she asks in lecture. She then fails to collect all the papers, resulting in inaccurate attendance grades. And she won't take suggestions for a more efficient way to take attendance.

She only teaches from her presentation. Never get all your attendance points because she never grabs them when you walk down and give them to her. I would recommend never taking her if you would like to pass bio. H er study guides are NOTHING like the test.

This class is definitely possible to pass with a good grade and she is not as bad at the ratings make her seem but if you have the option too I would try to get a different professor. I am not good at science and it did not help that she would cancel class quite a bit and only read off of her lecture slides and not add much commentary to them.

She is nice, but honestly a horrible teacher. The homework is all through mcgraw hill which can be very time consuming. Her tests are impossible to study for. If I had one suggestion it is to recharge the homework assignments then study those. Her lectures are her reading from presentations made by the book. Find a different professor if possible.

She does not let you leave when you are done with her tests and makes you sit and wait. She made the test taking environment stressful and noisy.
