class very long and borning. He doesn't really teach us, it stright from the text book, and his 110 question multiple choice exams are killer.. no lie!!

His exam is easy enough for people who speaks english well. Although it's kinda challenge for me cuz i'm not english as first language. While having exam, I asked him what are some meanings of the words and he explained very clear to me. Good teacher.

Best Soc teacher hands down. In Dec. '99 I missed our final exam in 48-101 (got the timetable times mixed up, showed up at St. Denis at 330 when the exam was at noon) and he let me do the same exact exam as everyone else in January!!!

I think he is a great and helpful. I really would hope that Windsor would have more teachers like him. Too bad he is going to retire soon... I will miss him.

He's a really nice guy, and a good teacher. Some of the sex comments are REALLY boarderline... but class is acceptable.

He is a very nice open-minded guy and also politically correct (always takes the side of the minority when telling a story) Surprised to hear about nasty comments toward females – never noticed any. His exams are not that easy though, somewhat time-consum

He is a cool teacher, but class is boring! It needs more interaction or he needs to be a bit more hyped up. I like him as a teacher but it is kind of dull.

Booth's classes are boring to sit through, but you actually find that you end up applying what you learn in this class. He gives specific clues about exam material near final time. He's pretty cool, for an old guy. :)

I found Booth to be extremely intelligent and articulate. He definately knows his stuff and is an excellent educator. Personally, i was very attracted to his degree of intelligence.

I'm in my fourth year now and miss taking classes with him and professor Metcalfe. I wanted to drop out in first year but it was my achievement of an A+ in his class that kept me going. He is extremely helpful and truly cares about students.

I dont know what to say .. his exams are not bad ... but I think students give him way too much credit for being a nice guy instead of focusing on his teaching skills. His lectures are useless in my opinion. Thank God for textbooks!!!

By far the most boring prof I have ever had. It was a good job he teaches straight from the text so I never had to go to class.

Very good professor! Seriously, even if you think his classes are boring, go! He gives out so many hints, not even subtle hints, he right out tells you questions/answers on the exams, word for word. Use study guide and textbook website!

Great teacher, which is difficult in larger classes like intro to soc. He influenced my major (soc). Fair in class & on exams. Very approachable outside of class.

Ok...Dr. Booth is a cool guy. He's a decent, fair teacher, and he obviously knows his stuff. But I gotta say....the fact that his voice is so desperately monotone and slow....I find it hard to pay attention. If only he just spoke with a little more enthusiasm (like he does when talking about sex)

he is a good prof and easy to follow...he somehow managed to make a 3 hour class not seem all that bad...he always has a fun little story or some type of input on what he is talking about...and if he doesn't than his trusty sidekick mrs.metcalf does...they are an excellent team...

I love this prof, and am deeply sadened that I can no longer take any of his courses. If he decides to teach another I would take it in a heart beat. very funny guy..loves his sex...

Great Prof. had him last semester as well. Him and Metcalf make a great team. Good explanations in class but review for midterm could have been better. Can't wait for the second half of this semester.

I enjoy taking professor booth's classes, he is great and has a method that is easy to follow. Unforunate that he is leaving, would love to take more classes with him!!! I would recommend any of his classes!!!

Love him and Metcalfe b/c they care for their students. Im being spoiled in first year by having them b/c i know others will not be like them. keep up the good work

not a very dynamic prof, but clear with the materials

The best prof ever... He is so helpful and friendly to everyone and Ive learnt a lot in his class... Him and Metcalfe are a dynamic duo for the class too bad he has to retire... well I hope he enjoys a good retirement after all he deserves it for the fine teaching... well done Dr. Booth ^__^

I LOVE THIS MAN!!!! :) A great lecturer. Sure, sometimes he can be boring, but c'mon he knows what he's talking about. If you need help, go to his office hours, he'll help you out. Nice guy!!!

I love Prof. Booth.. He made all my first year sociology classes good.. He was a good prof.. he knew what he was talking about! He was always so helpful and understanding... He was fair.. The test werent the easiest sometimse but he gaves us hints and he taught the material well!

Great Prof.. really knows his stuff! Doesnt like Catholics much, but hes not a PHD in religion! I think he may be an athiest though. But itdoesnt matter, hes a good teacher, and a very intellegent man!

Good guy, lecture notes are on the website, has another prof teach with him. Really easy class to forget about though, I didn't go often because when I did I didn't feel like it was worth my time, the text has a webpage where you can pretest yourself along with summaries.

This was one of my favourite classes ever. Possibly one of the most compassionate and caring profs I have met. Very informative and interesting lectures.

Take Soc of Sex.Its a very good course. . Intro to SOC. course was really boring though.It Simplified many concepts to the point of stupifying you. I feel less intelegent after taking first year intro to soc.

Take him if you can:) but I think he is retiring soon.:((( that's really sad/....

Unlike everyone else, i thought he was a HORRIBLE professor. Definitely the worst i've ever had in my 4 years of university. He made horrible comments about religions (had i been religious, i would have been extremely pissed!) and he made rude comments about women. I was not impressed with him at all.

He was a bit monotone at times and made some not so funny jokes. However, the class was fairly easy that I took. His lectures went by the textbook and the exams in my opinion were of decent difficulty.

Very boring prof.. he's monotone, tells irrelevant stories.. all his lectures entale are the notes he posts online (he just reads them).. horrible class, but make sure you know your facts (statistics are key)..

He also taught me 102. I think he is an amazing professor, although he is mono-tone he is an amazing lecturer. Booth is very knowledgeable on most of the material in any course he teaches. I would take any Soci course he teaches. :)

Knows his field. Slides avail.online if you miss his lectures which just explains in DETAIL (too much detail sometime, goes on and on). Hard to focus with his monotone voice. Too many conversations with front row students when they should be private(not everyone can hear)and continue with course content-holds us back and whole class gets restless.

Guy has tenure for a reason. Knows his stuff and knows how to deliver a lecture great prof

Super nice guy and overall good teacher. He's a little boring but some of the material was interesting. Easy class I recommend it as an elective if you want a good grade!
