He has tons of doctor stories which are funny and helps you understand the material. He pretty much reads off the powerpoints though, but he posts them online so you can just follow along. He's amazing overall.
He's a nice guy but doesn't understand how to teach that much information. I went to his class every day and I might as well have just read the textbook because all he does is read the PowerPoint slides(which are straight from the textbook). It is also very hard to know what to study for tests. Would not take him again.
Brasington was a great lab teacher. Everything was straight forward and right off of the powerpoints. He was very funny and shared stories from being a doctor. Definitely recommend him for 243 lab.
He's the WORST. He's a nice enough guy, but classes consist of him reading off the powerpoint, and he didn't even tell us the right material to study on the final. He didn't even decide how he would determine our grade until last minute! Do your best to take someone else!
Dr. B was one of my favorite teachers of the semester. The class was difficult as long as you studied. The exams were painless. Class notes are all posted on black board and come directly from the book. His teaching style isn't the best, he tends to read directly from the power point but I still learned a lot. Knows what he is talking about.
Dr. Brasington (Dr. B), tries to make lectures as interesting as lectures can be. It is clear what is expected and what will be on the test. He is always quick to respond to emails with answers to questions, and he is always friendly and approachable. He gives extra credit for coming to class and there is a study guide for every test. Not an easy A
Loved taking Bio 243L with Dr. B! He's laid back and has lots of stories and mnemonics to help you remember material. We had a quiz or test almost every class, but it all comes straight from the powerpoints so study and you'll do fine! Liked him so much I'm taking his 244 lecture.
Dr. B is a very good professor. While he is lecturing he usually gives a clinical example and tells you about his experiences in the health field that relate to the topic. While the material is hard, he is clear about what is going to be on his exams, and gives very good feedback if you ask him a question. Definitely would take again.
Dr. Brasington was one of the best professors I have had at the university. He's extremely entertaining and knowledgable about the subject, and makes class fun. I would take his class again in a heartbeat.
Dr. Brasington is a fantastic teacher. He goes over the material thoroughly and clearly, while still letting you out of class early. He makes the class fun with stories about patients. There are 4 quizzes and 4 tests with an optional final that replaces the lowest test grade. I highly suggest taking his class.
LOVE DR. B!!! He posts all of his power points onto blackboard so you can always have access to them. Gives study guides for every exam and tells you what to expect on the exam. I will be taking him again for BIO 244 in the spring.
I had Dr. B for Bio 243 Lab and it was the hardest class ever. There is just so much to memorize making it so difficult. Dr. B is really good at providing clinical examples from when he practiced so his labs were always interesting. 4 quizzes & 4 tests. Very specific. The practice quizzes are very helpful though. Lab book was also very helpful!!
He is super funny and cool. He does just read off the powerpoints but you can study all of the material outside of class because he posts it online. As long as you study his notes and study guide you will do fine
I usually skip class and i have a High B right now. He pretty much reads straight off the powerpoint but he posts them online so you don't really need to show up.
Dr. Brasington really cares about his students. The course is difficult but he makes the material easy to understand and he's always available outside of class if you need extra clarification. He also posts all of his powerpoints and study guides online which has been super helpful!
Dr. B's classes will definetly help you prepare for nursing courses and career. He cares about learning and teaching but also understands that students have lives outside of school. He usually gives back points on tests. He gives great study guides too!
Honestly, you won't like him when you first get him. He basically reads off his powerpoints and is kind of boring, but he is pretty funny. Go to class because he does give out extra credit for attendance!! He eventually becomes one of your favorite teachers. His tests are easy when you read through the powerpoints and the study guides. TAKE HIM!!
His class is super easy. It is basically memorization, even though its a lot. His class is only based on tests and quizzes, and basically every week you have something to study for. Pay attention to what he specifically talks about in class because that will be what you need to study. Put in the time and effort to memorize and you will pass easily!
I set up my schedule just to be able to take him again. All powerpoints on blackboard. Pretty good study guides for the exams and you don't have to take the final if you're happy with your grade. He's chill. You won't regret taking his class. (And you really don't need the textbook)
Dr. B is very good about telling you what to expect on the test. He reads straight off the powerpoint but will give real life examples of times he has seen this in his real life practice. You need to study straight off the study guide and you will be fine for the test. If its not on the study guide, its not on the test.
Literally my favorite professor my first semester here at USC. He is so entertaining in class and gives a lot of funny stories from his experience that help you retain the information. As long as you do the study guide, and go to class to listen to his stories and how he words things, you should be able to get a decent grade. absolutely love him.
If you can get over his inappropriate humor he is a fine teacher. Class isn't mandatory but he does reward those who come. The lecture is fast paced but you always get out early. Easy to pass but getting an A requires a lot of reading and outside work. Overall it is up to you to get what you want out of the class.
I had Dr. for 2 semesters in a row and I would take the classes again if I could!!! He gives a lot of extra credit on random days just for being in class. Attendance is not mandatory but going does benefit you because he will end up giving a lot of extra credit! He give study guides that are very very similar to the test!
For Dr. B's lab, you really just need to study the powerpoint he posts on blackboard. You need to know the powerpoint inside out because the tests are all fill in the blank with no word bank. That being said, he is so funny and has great stories from working in the medical field that help you understand the material.
Brasington is a great professor. For lab, he was very clear and specific about what will be on exams. Get ready to study and memorize because that is what this class is. If you put in the work and study in advance, you will do just fine.
Dr. Brasington's class is pretty straight forward: study the power points. His lectures are very boring and he reads straight from the power points so if you study those you will be and fine and you will be ok to skip class. But you do have to study hard because some questions on exams are super specific while other are broad.
He's funny and tells stories from his hospital days during his lectures. If you skip class you miss all the content and his clever ways of remembering things. He also tells you what won't be on the quizzes/tests. If you study you'll do great in his class. He also uploads his lecture powerpoints on Blackboard as well as practice tests.
All his lectures are based on power points online. Class is boring but you learn a lot and as long as you study you will receive a good grade. Dr. Brasington was awesome in my opinion!!
LOVE Dr. B!! Has a good sense of humor and gives really good clinical examples that relate heavily to the lecture material. Can be a little monotonous in lecture but pay attention and he's really lowkey funny. Exams arent easy, but he makes it perfectly clear whats going to be on the exams and whats not. Taking him again for Bio244
Dr. B is a great professor!! All test are just like his study guides and will work with you no matter the case! Very fun and chill!
Even though Dr.B doesn't take attendance he does pass around a sign in sheet sometimes and that will be counted for extra credit. Dr.B posts the power points he teaches from and all the test information will come from those. DO THE STUDY GUIDES!!! Know the study guide like the back of your hand and you'll do great on the tests. BEST BIO PROF AT USC
LOVED Dr. B! I had hi for Bio 243 and Bio 244 lecture and lab. Made As in both. He is super nice and actually care about his students. For lab he gives you everything you need to know, and practice quizzes. For lecture he gives you study guides. You have to study a good bit to get an A, but he tells you everything you need to know.
Take him!!!!! Easiest teacher ever!!! He gives you exactly what you need. One week is taking notes, the other is a quiz and dissection, the next week is the exam, and it is repeated for a total of 4 quizzes and 4 exams. I've taken him two semesters now and he's a super easy teacher and is funny.
Best professor I have had at this school by far. Amazing at teaching which makes the quizzes and exams extremely easy to pass. I would recommend him to anyone who is a nursing major like myself.
TAKE HIM!!! He is seriously the best biology professor at USC.
He is a great anatomy professor. He has a good sense of humor and he makes it so anatomy isn't too hard to learn but you definitely need to set aside serious studying time for this class. I would definitely recommend him for lab.
Dr. B is THE MOST helpful professor I have had so far at USC. He answers his emails fast and is always there to answer questions. He is very personable and funny too. Attendance is not mandatory and I never once opened the textbook (I would get it for bio 244 lab though) I wish Dr. B taught more classes so I could have him as a professor again!
Dr. B. class is really easy. His tests are basically the study guide and you can find practice questions and answers on easynotes. There are 4 tests and an optional final that will replace your lowest exam score. Take him because he is easy but you won't learn anything. He tries to joke but he isn't funny. He also looks like Tobey from The Office
Dr. B's class is pretty easy! He really wants his students to do well, so you can contact him anytime with questions. He has 4 tests and an optional final, all of which are manageable as long as you study and/or review his powerpoints. I took him for both 243 and 244, lecture and lab, and really enjoyed him as a professor.
His class was super easy and straight forward. He never took attendance, so I never went to class and I still made an A. He is one of the coolest professors I have ever had. Makes jokes in class and is very easy-going. Tests are fairly easy if you do the study guide and there is not much homework. I recommend taking him!!
Wonderful professor. Tests are right off the study guides for the most part, and he's incredibly helpful. He's an MD, so he relates everything to real patient cases, which are really entertaining. He's funny and cares about his students, and doesn't try to trick you. Occasional extra credit for attendance, and gives great slides with what you need.
I have him for my lab class now but I liked him so much I'm taking him for the next level class and lab next semester! He's funny and quick to go through material, but he really does care if you understand it or not and will go over it again. Tells great stories relevant to the material - turns out it's super helpful
His labs are straightforward and never run the full amount of time theyre scheduled for. In order to pass all of the quizzes and tests you just have to study the PowerPoints he posts and review his test prep quizlets. Overall a very funny guy who genuinely cares if his students succeed in class!
Amazing professor! He is an actual MD and can share great stories! Easy Note cards will help you pass every exam with an A, majority of his tests are copied straight! Such a helpful guy, quick to emails and great lectures. Come to class for lots of extra credit because attendance is not taken.
Dr. Brasington is a great professor! He will let you go after lab hours and look at the models that will be similar to those on the test if you need help. He gives hints and tricks to remember what is on the test. Always lets us out at least an hour early. Be ready to memorize a lot of body parts and features. He also has a lot of cool ER stories.
If you get a chance to take Dr. B, DO IT. He's the best professor I've ever taken at USC. As long as you complete the study guides he provides, you'll be fine in the class. Attendance isn't mandatory but he says some funny things during lecture so it's good to go! Awesome guy all around
I loved his class because he would relate the material that we were covering to patient cases that he has dealt with in the past. He posts his powerpoints online so if you miss a class you won't fall behind. He also always finds some way to give extra credit! He cares and wants his students to pass.
Brasington is amazing! Definitely take him if you get the chance. His lectures are so fun to listen to because he tells real life funny stories to help you remember the information. Tests are super easy and attendance isn't mandatory!
Dr. Brasington is absolutely amazing! He is the best anatomy professor at USC, I had him for lab and his classes are so fun and interesting. I had his lab at 8:30 and I actually didn't mind going because I really enjoyed his lab. There were 4 exams and 4 quizzes and as long as you study the study guide and some, you'll pass with flying colors!
He's a doctor and relates everything back to his experiences as a physician which makes class much more interesting. The lab is supposed to be 3 hours but he ends it after an hour almost every class. He tells you what to study in class, but you need to study at home if you want A's on your tests. The final is optional which is super helpful.
Brasington is really chill. I took hime fore 234 and am taking him again for 244 and 244L. HE DOESNT TAKE ATTENDANCE IN ANYTHING INCLUDING LABS. Just show up and take the exams. Posts helpful study guides and all lectures online. You can use easy notecard to study and he provides the link for it. He is the best anatomy prof at USC take him forsure.
Best teacher for BIOL 243 Attendance not mandatory- occasionally handed out extra credit for coming to class Willing to help with material in office hours
Dr. B is a great professor, he goes through the lectures and posts them online, along with quizlets he makes and shares. The class is purely memorization but he helps you with ways to memorize and its up to you to study the powerpoint and quizlets. Definitely not an easy class but he's the best professor to teach it.
If you are looking for easy A, sure. Funny guy. But if you want to learn, not good teacher. He is not very passionate about teaching students; doesn't seem to care. The study guide sometimes helps and sometimes doesn't. He tries to tell you what will be on the exam but isn't very consistent.
Dr. B is an AMAZING teacher and the most engaging anatomy professor I have had by far! He is an actual doctor and shares his real experiences which is very cool! He tells you exactly what will be on the tests from his powerpoints. He has a remarkable sense of humor too! TAKE THIS CLASS! He's not a bad looking guy either:)
The absolute best bio professor ever! He's very clear on what will be tested on exams. Gives study guides that are basically a layout of exams. He usually always dismisses class 15-30 mins early. Attendance isn't mandatory. Easy A!
He is the funniest guy ever, and a lifesaver to have first thing in the morning because attendance isn't mandatory. His study guides are the test itself minus one or two questions, he always has interesting stories, and will sometimes give extra credit for showing up when the class is sparse (days after holidays, etc.). Book isn't necessary.
Such a great professor, attendance is not mandatory. Homework and you have 4 exams with an optional final. With every exam he gives you a study guide, know exactly whats on it and the tests arnt bad. Go to class and his optional review sessions he'll hint at questions for the test that wont be on the study guide. East A if you GO TO CLASS.
Labs with him are super fun and will NEVER last the whole 3 hours. He makes the subjects so interesting and gives you a lot of real-life examples/stories that help you remember stuff. You have four exams in his class. Make a quizlet with his power points and its an easy A. He also curves his tests and doesn't mark off for slight spelling errors.
love dr b very nice guy very understanding tests are basically the study guide and easy note card questions are used frequently definitely dont depend 100% on the study guide u wont get an A that way definitely take him for anatomy
Dr. B is a great professor, he cares about you and has lots of patient cases which really help you learn the material. Take him, you will not regret it.
Dr. B is hilarious! If you go to class he gives great hints on what to focus on for the test. he also uses real life stories to make the class more interesting. He is very willing to help if he know that you are doing your part. Would definitely take his class again.
Has a kind and opening personality! Lots of material to cover but he makes the class interesting. He will be more than happy to help you with any problems, and will teach you what you need to know for his exams. Always use the study aids he offers and practice! An A is achievable as long as you put in all the effort.
Loved loved loved taking this class. Brasington talks about real life experiences about basically everything. He is hilarious as well. Gives study worksheets that covers most of the test but be sure to go over important parts of the powerpoints!
You are going to want to ger Brasington as much as you can. I had him for 243 lab and 244 lecture. It is a lot of material (which any bio class is) but he really gets it through your head.
I loved Dr. Brasington! He is absolutely hilarious and makes bio fun. Tests are hard, but if you study a decent amount for them and pay attention to what he tells you in class you should be fine. He tells lots of stories about what he's seen as a doctor and although I never needed help out of class, I know he is good about that.
Dr. B is the best! Get him if you can't. I took the online bio class first semester and struggled so much, but, he made all the difference this semester. Attendance is not required, but, I enjoyed going to his class because he tells real life patient cases (that will be on the test that make the concepts we are learning easy to remember.
The obvious choice for anatomy! The exams are difficult but he gives a lot of extra credit. Weekly packback assignments and 4 exams are your grade!
I had him for both lab and lecture for 244 and he is truly amazing. He really cares and always tells hilarious stories in class to help us learn and sometimes just to entertain us. His lab is always super interesting and he helped us when we needed it during dissections. If you can, definitely take him.
Dr. B is a funny guy, but he gets side tracked a lot. He tells a lot of stories and his exams are more in depth than he goes in class. If you study his slides where he has stuff highlighted, you may pass, but beware of patient case questions and application scenarios.
There is no professor that I love more than this man. He is the absolute best and made anatomy not suck
Gerald is a good professor. Exams are online and he gives extra credit. He reads from slides everyday but the stories he tells everyday are interesting. If you want a professor who cancels class a lot then take Gerald. I skip his class a lot and still do good.
His tests are written but his teaching style makes it easy to learn and he even provides his own quizlet on the material on his tests.
Dr. B is one of the most relatable professors you can get. He is funny, carefree and helpful. He relates his lectures and exams to actual medical scenarios, so that is helpful. He tells you what you need to know and what you will need to know in the future. Gives study guides. Taking again for 244. ONLINE EXAMS!
I really recommend him if you want a profession in healthcare. Great lecturer and gives real-life applications of things you learn. Attendance not mandatory, you could in theory do this as an online class as the exams are online, but go to lecture and the exams will be much easier (but not easy). I feel confident about nursing school thanks to him.
The final grade is determined by 3 tests and an optional final, tophat and packsack. He's the easiest grader when it comes to tophat and packback. He offered extra credit towards the end of the semester. All his tests are online. He is super funny and tells real life stories in class. The class is actually super interesting.
I love Dr. B! His lectures were kind of boring, but he uses funny stories and acronyms to help us remember things. He was always helpful in answering my questions/clarifying things. The exams were really easy, just go through the powerpoints, take the online practice quizzes, and make Quizlets and you will be fine! I'm taking him again for 244 Lab!
dr b is such a down to earth professor and actually cares about his students. he grades fairly and always tries to give everyone everything they need to do good in his classes. hes very considerate and an awesome prof but his class requires a lot of studying for sure.
Dr. B is the BEST Anatomy professor at USC. He can be intimidating at first, and he expects you to know all the information, but you will learn so much from him. He uses real-life cases to help you remember information and his practice quizzes are extremely helpful. If you have the opportunity, 110% take him!!
Hilarious dude, and a razor sharp smart MD. Really kind and caring and never condescending. Hes really funny and his stories about being a doctor will amaze you. Hes seen it all and speaking about seeing it all, his understanding of the field of medicine and the prerequisites needed to enter it will help you a ton if youre pre-med.
He is a great lab teacher and as long as you study the pictures he gives you, you will do great in the class! Those exact same pictures are on his online quizzes and practical exams. Brasington shares about his different experiences on being a doctor and makes the class interesting.
If you have the opportunity, take hi. Extremely funny guy with hilarious stories to back up the material. You wont be disappointed.
Dr. Brasington is very nice, and he's very knowledgable on the subject. His lectures are boring, and it's hard to pay attention, but studying his powerpoints will get you an A on the exams. Exams were online during my semester.
I didn't have Dr. B for lecture, but I loved his 243 and 244 labs! He is chill but knows his stuff, and often will let you stay after class to clarify content or study using the models. His class is mostly lectures and dissections. The best way to study for exams is quizlet, and there's an online quiz you take the week before each exam.
Dr. B is super sweet, but he does have a lot on his plate, so sometimes class gets cancelled. His top priority is taking care of his students. He tells you what will be on exams during lecture. He kind of flies through the powerpoints, but all the info you need is on the slides and he gives a study guide. Easy hw assignment due before each exam
Only graded by 4 exams and optional final, as well as 4 problem sets on anatomy (pretty sure he only grades these for completion). He is so easy, all the information for the exams is given to you by his worksheets and can also be found online. He bases questions based on MCAT type questions. His lectures are optional, he reads the slides.
I have Dr. B online, so attendance isn't mandatory since he posts the lecture videos. His tests come directly from his Power Points. He's an M.D. and likes to make the class focused toward patient care. He tells lots of patient stories during lecture, which makes it more interesting. I would recommend this man to everybody I know.
Had him for my lab. Great person, would take him
I love this professor ! He does have a lot on his plate sometimes and he finds a way to still teach ! Hes so nice and caring . Wish I could take him again . Ended his class with a 96 !! He makes the tests off the PowerPoints.
Dr.B is absolutely amazing! He makes sure you know what you need to for the tests and focuses on ensuring his students are prepared for pre-professional schools. He is SO understanding and caring no matter what. You do need to at least watch his uploaded lectures to pass , but hes super funny and a good lecturer.
Dr. B is my favorite teacher I've had at USC thus far!! He is super understanding and hilarious. If you get the chance take him.
This class started out unorganized because it was the first semester USC had it, but Dr. B handled it well and made sure we were prepared for the exams. Really nice and funny. There were 4 exams, 4 problem sets, and an optional final.
Dr. B is a great professor! He tries his best to help you out and is very understanding. His lectures are essential to exams and the material is easy to understand. There are four exams and an optional final. 10/10 would recommend
I LOVE Dr B. Hes really funny, and so nice!! Hes very smart and knowledgable, and I really enjoyed his lectures. I regret not taking him last semester because hes so great. Lab was also great.
Brasington was an amazing professor overall, I just wish I could have taken him in person. I had him for an online asynchronous class and it was very disorganized and chaotic at times. However, he was very flexible with due dates and the optional final exam, making the class a lot better.
Clearly wants students to succeed. Takes mock MCAT, PACAT, etc. every year and adjusts his curriculum to cover everything needed for entrance exams. Fast-paced class - lots of patient cases and fun stories. Gives out his personal cell number to students for us to text him with questions. Absolutely HILARIOUS and extremely engaging. Loved him!!
Dr. B is absolutely hilarious and really went out of his way to help us. He's very flexible with deadlines and grading. If he thinks something isn't fair, he's quick to fix it. I really loved this class because I learned a lot, but I wasn't nearly as stressed as I thought I'd be considering the material being covered. Be kind to yourself. Take him.
Anatomy is a difficult class but Dr. Brasington figured out a way to make it easy if you were willing to work for it. Super sweet guy, definitely would take his class again!
The best anatomy teacher! I had him for Bio 244, the class was asynchronous and his lectures were long but he told you exactly what was going to be on the exams. He also gives study guides for exams that are very helpful for tests. I would choose Brasington over any other anatomy teacher at UofSC.
I could not explain the love I have for this man. Originally, this class was labeled as aysnc, but he made it sync on his own time in consideration of his students. His patient cases made it so much easier to understand diseases & help go through the process of diagnosing. He helps prepare for exams w/ study guides. Super sweet man & fast replier.
This professor is by far the best professor I have ever had. He genuinely cares about ALL of his students, whether they be current or alumni. I took his class in Spring 21, and Im now in med school and still reach out to him for resources. Take his class if you want to be prepared for grad school!
I will say when I started the lab, I was very nervous. Doctor B. made it worth the while and he is an awesome professor. I am taking him again for BIOL 244 lecture and lab.
Dr. B is the best! I was nervous at first for this class but once I took the first quiz I figured out his test style and was able to study well for everything else. As long as you study and come to class you will do fine!
Dr. B is the BEST professor I have had at UofSC so far. He genuinely cares so much. If something comes up during the week/he thinks something is unfair he is quick to come up with a fair solution. He made a 3 hour lab very engaging, and ties material to his own medical experiences. I am very excited to take him next semester for 244 lecture and lab
One of the best! So chill and funny, considerate, easy grader. Unfortunately, he canceled class a lot this past semester due to personal reasons, and I wish that wasn't the case. But when we did have class, he made it entertaining by sharing personal stories! Definitely need to study the material to pass, but he'll help you in any way!
the best professor i have had. cares deeply for students, is extremely understanding to circumstances, gives great advice for future endeavors. can tell how much he cares for everyone. tests are reasonable as well as lab tests, his lectures are somehow hilarious, offers a lot of extra credit. hard subject but does best to make sure you understand
Dr. B is chaotic, and his lecture powerpoints are long and convoluted. His exams are online, and they use a question bank. This means that you could get questions on material that was never covered in class and barely mentioned in the class notes. The class is hard, but he gives lots of extra credit because he knows he makes the class confusing.
This man right here deserves an award, this is probably my 4th or 5th time taking him throughout my duration at USC and he never seems to fail. His dedication and drive to help us in anyway is truly amazing. it turns some of the hardest material into something a child could understand. he is an amazing professor and an even better person. TAKE HIM!
Dr. Brasington holds a very engaging lectures and relates them to clinical setting scenarios. He provides power points with definitions of things but his tests are based off of what he says during class not whats on the power points, so you need to go to class to do well on the exams. Your grade is solely based off of the exams.
Professor Brasington deserves every award possible. I had him for lecture and lab this semester and wish I could take him for every Bio class til graduation. He is extremely clear about what is on the exam and offers tons of unrelated extra credit on the exam (one time he included a Where's Waldo for ec)! He truly cares about his students.
I took Dr.B for 243L and I had to sign up for 244+L with him. He is very clear about what will be on the test and will tell you in class if he remembers a question. You have to study for exams but he gives study guides. All tests and he drops the lowest plus Tophat homework for each unit (on Quizlet). He's so unironically funny that I love class.
TAKE HIM he will try to help as much as he can. Canceled class without warning like twice but he's super busy. All tests but he drops the lowest so if you have a good grade, no final is necessary. Study the PowerPoint!! All info comes from the pictures. Exams on Lockdown and you have a week to take them. So funny and he's direct about what to know.
Great
Dr. Brasington has his MD which is great for anatomy lectures. He has so many stories about his experiences that keep you entertained while learning everything you need. Dr. B takes pre-professional entrance exams so that he is able to teach you what you REALLY need to know. He offers some extra credit and tests are pretty straight forward.
Great professor that prepares you for entrance exams. Some of his exam questions are questions he seen on entrance exams before. Also he tells great stories in class dealing with what we are talking about which helps you remember the information more. Overall a great professor and 10/10 would recommend.
The anatomy lap with Dr.B was the best lab I've taken at USC in the past 3 years. We got to dissect pigs and hearts which was informational and fun. Whenever he would cancel lab, he would make the quizzes and exams open notes. Even though he already highlights everything on the powerpoints that will be in the exams anyway. 10/10 would recommend.
All bio lab class are going to be hard, but I think his the best. All you have to do is study the powerpoint and review and you will do fine. All the question come out of the powerpoints, yes it is fill in blank but if you misspell but is close to the word he gives you credit for it. He gives extra credit sometimes too, I highly recommend him!!
He was great! I cant wait to take him again next semester. youre only in class like every other week and he lets you out after an hour. Very straightforward about what is going to be on quizzes and exams. Also would tell funny stories which helped me remember things.
Dr.B is one of my favorite professors I have ever had. Exams are on respondus but very doable if you study using the worksheet with terms that he provides. He gives extra credit here and there and is overall a really nice man.
Dr. B is a great professor who gives engaging lectures and makes sure we learn the material for the future instead of memorizing and forgetting. He always highlights the important information both for the exam and our future in the medical field. He gives great patient cases that will help us in the future. He is an incredibly engaged and caring.
I really liked Dr. Brasington. His exams and quizzes come right from the notes, which are posted online. He gets easily sidetracked during lecture, but he's a really nice guy and extended exam dates for us if we needed it. I didn't learn much, but it was an easy A.
Cannot say enough good things about Dr. B. He is the funniest professor I've ever had, he genuinely cares about his students and preps well for board entrance exams like MCAT. Gives extra credit, has amazing lectures, and gives you a fair amount of time to take the exams. I will take him for every bio class I have going forward!
HE IS TOO FUNNY!! Lectures are not mandatory but when you do go you will not regret it. He posts study guides that outline what is going to be on each exam, and posts all the notes. He also lets you know in lecture what you do and do not need to know. I love that he incorporates past patient cases in his lectures, he's super fun.
Literally the sweetest person ever, he only wants the best for his students. His exams are fairly easy and he gives study guides that will tell you what to expect. His lectures are never boring because he is always making jokes and telling stories about his patients! Take him if you can!!
I highly recommend Dr. Brasington for Anatomy. The course consists of 4 exams with an optional final and some problem sets which are easy. Lectures are engaging as he often pulls stories from his experience as a physician. Material can be dense but he highlights the information you need to know and he hints many of the test questions during class.
I loved Dr. B. He was so funny that I enjoyed going to every lecture. Exams could be difficult but he always gave us extra credit. You didn't have to go to lecture but he would tell us topics to focus on and funny stories that related to what we were learning. Lab was super easy compared to lecture and we didn't have to meet every single week.
Dr. Brasington is a great professor and his lectures are very interesting! He gives extra credit and his exams are fair. He is very reasonable and cares about his students. I would highly recommend him for this course!
I loved Dr. B. He makes lab classes engaging and really wants his students to succeed. He curves quizzes/exams and as long as you study it is easy to get a good grade in his class. He clearly states what is on his quizzes/exams and even provides quizlets and practice quizzes. I wish I had him for my 244 lecture as well.
Dr. B is hilarious and incredibly knowledgeable. He is a physician who is clearly very excited to teach you about anatomy. He also picked up the slack from our less than stellar lecture instructor, Dr. Datt. Take Dr. B, you'll laugh and enjoy his clinical stories that tie into the material. I wish I could have had him for lecture.
Dr. B tells you exactly what's important and what's going to be on the test, and helps out with students who are going into the medical field by talking about the trends he sees on the entrance exams. Always tells hilarious stories in class to make the lectures more engaging and doesn't rush through the material. 10/10 would recommend him.
Dr. B is great. You will know what to expect for every exam, and he posts review worksheets. Helpful for MCAT prep. He also instructs the lab, which was very informative and a great MCAT review. The only reason I gave a 4/5 rather than a 5/5 is because he cancels class often. He only took attendance once, but the lectures are entertaining.
Dr B is the best! He is a doctor so he helps to let pre-med students know what will be on the entrance and board exams. most exams are open note too and he's a really laid back guy so he will help you out if you need it. Anatomy is a very dense course, but he makes it very interesting and a lot easier to learn! Take him if you can!!!
Dr.Brasington is a super funny guy and is very clear on what he's grading by. Although attendance isn't mandatory, you do need to know the lectures and if you come to class he gives you what concepts will be on the test. He's fair and every test has at least a couple of free bonus points.
Didn't feel like grading homework so gave us all 100s His exams are also very easy if you study and he will tell you what might be on the exam. He also tells you what you might need to know for the MCAT which I found very useful.
Dr. B is a great anatomy professor who makes dense material engaging and manageable. Exams are fair, with helpful review guides. Attendance is required but helpful, and unstuck AI was a useful study tool alongside the lectures.
Professor Brasington has got to be one of my favorite professors at USC. He is so funny, and makes anatomy really entertaining. I have learned so much, even though all of his exams are online. It is hard to get bored during his lectures because of his sense of humor. It is a lot of information, but he tells you directly what you need to know.
Dr. B is HILARIOUS. He will tell you exactly what is on the exam. Exams itself were a little difficult for me, but his questions are fair & he gives extra credit. Only downside about him is that he is pretty unapproachable and doesn't have office hours, but if that doesn't matter for you take him!
I loved him so much. He told you what to study and as long as you know the material you will be fine for exams.
He makes his lectures incredibly interesting and funny. Most of the test information can be found on Quizlet ahead of time which makes it easy to study. I also had him for lab and he ended up making most of the quizzes and exams open note.
He tells you what to know for the exams and adds some extra credit too. Makes some inappropriate jokes but you definitely won't be bored.
literally the goat. he's funny and engaging, tells you great stories about his time in healthcare (patient cases on his exams), and gives you tips on what will be on the nclex or any other grad school tips. probably have learned the most from his lectures
Dr. Brasington is hilarious and his lectures are super entertaining. There is a lot of information but he does his best make it doable and even gives you some preparation for entrance exams and boards. Tests reflect the study guides and powerpoints very well.
Dr. Brasington is a wonderful professor. He's hilarious and keeps lectures entertaining. He tells us exactly what will be on the exams, so go to class. While this class can be tough, you will succeed from studying his PowerPoints and lecture notes! He's extremely smart and also helps prepare us for the MCAT. I definitely recommend taking him
Dr Brasington was amazning! His classes were very informative, and never boring. Very little homework was given, and is all useful information. All of his exams were on lockdown, but super easy and included at least 10 pts of bonus questions that were always random. If you need an extra class, take this one!!
I loved him for both BIOL 461 & 461L. He keeps the content entertaining and truly wants his students to succeed. If you consider yourself sensitive, he may not be for you (he has that dark healthcare humor). Online exams with LDB and easy extra credit. He constantly references entrance exams (MCAT, etc.) and gears material towards what is on them.
Amazing prof. Always tells you exactly what to know for exams, so you don't waste time studying random stuff. Tells great stories of his time in the field. Funny, respectful, and accommodating. With some studying, an A is completely achievable. Good MCAT prep, too. Would 100% take him again and again.
Tells you exactly what to know and how questions will be phrased for online quizzes and exams on Respondus (open for like a week). Attendance not reallyyy mandatory, but if you miss lectures, you won't know the exact exam material. Funny. Only had class like 8 times. He cancels when we are good to go on the material already.
Dr. Brasington is probably the funniest professor that I have had at USC. He makes his class very engaging and is really good at explaining tough anatomical topics. There are multiple exams, but they are online and you have two weeks to take them.
Brasington is hilarious and a great prof. Although attendance is not mandatory, I would recommend attending as he tells you exactly what are/ aren't on the exams! This class is also great prep for med/ grad. entrance exams. You are graded on the best 4/5 LDB exams with extra credit questions and a couple problem sets.
He is a very funny guy and teaches his lectures based on stories. His exams are online during lockdown, but they are pretty straightforward; he doesn't try to trick you, he just wants you to learn the information. I did well on these exams without studying to death. This is a heavy course but he makes it easier.
I enjoyed Dr. B's course greatly! He kept lectures very interesting by telling stories he'd experienced. Not much makes up your grade besides the problem sets and tests, but both are extremely straightforward, and he provides a good amount of studying material. Absolutely recommend taking A&P with Dr. B!
Dr B is so funny and a really great professor! Attendance isn't mandatory, but he tells you exactly what is on the exams during lecture. He is a little disorganized and it can be hard to keep up, but he keeps exams pretty straightforward so it isn't too difficult. Very funny and engaging lecturer.
I loved having Dr. B as a professor! He made class very interesting and his exams weren't super hard. He has a rude humor but it adds to the lecture in a good way and keeps you entertained. He truly does care about his students and is willing to help. He directs his lectures to information needed for the MCAT which is very helpful if you're pre-med
Loved Dr. B! He is a bit unorganized but he makes lectures interesting and truly cares about his students. His exams are hard because they are write in and you have to identify from a picture mostly. He tells you what to study and also bases it off the mcat so it is helpful.
He's the GOAT. Take him!!!
