A Good Proffsor, but sometimes just a little too much during the lecture

I doubt you would find a professor at BMCC that is NICER, MORE helpful or MORE clear as to what is expected of you on your papers and on your final. He bends over backwards making sure you learn the material and are ready for the test.

He was one of my easiest proffesor ever. I was so happy with him because he makes u understand the work clearly and put it very easy. His test r not hard n not alot of H.W. I wish i could've have him over and over again.

Prof. Clock is great. He's funny, he's relatable and he breaks everything down so that its easy to understand. He seemed a bit strict on the first day when he was explaining his expectations but after that, once he laid everything out, he was super easy going. Trust me. Even if you have a hard time, he'll meet you halfway if you show effort.

This prof. was extremely helpful. I took this class before and had to drop it, prof. Clock explained everything in such detailed it was easy to pass.

People who rated him poorly just got bad grades. He's great, really thorough, gives plenty of notes and handouts, and one of his tests was a take home. Don't complain that its too much work-if you registered for it then you accept whatevers dealt your way. He's alot of work, but his standards prepare you for the senior colleges.

Great professor and great guy with an encyclopedic knowledge of the subject. Although it is a politics class, he teaches by historical narrative. He does everything possible to help everyone in the class do well and gives GENEROUS extra credit. Listen to what he says from the first day of class. He's making the teaching experience easier for both you and him. This professor is extremely particular of what he wants out of the students. Sometimes, to an obnoxious extent. He spent quite a bit too much time on the syllabus rather than the text. But when it actually came down to teaching, you can tell his very passionate about it and knows quite a lot. I plan to take him again for fall.

Prof. Clock is extremely informative with his lectures, you'll never want to fall asleep in his class. Although his exams are not multiple choice they're super easy. Only on the first day he seems very strict, but DO NOT! be intimidated, after that first day you'll grow to like him, he just wants everyone to follow class rules while he teaches.

OMG what can i say he is the greatest. I took him some years back and i was scared as hell.I was like Jack Tripper is gonna fail me. I wanted to drop him from my Saturday class and glad i didn't. I hated politics and needed the class. After taken him i have a whole new respect on the subject and he made it fun.

Was initially dreading the class but his enthusiasm and knowledge is infectious. Overall his class was thoroughly enjoyable & worthwhile. Painless because he presents the material in such a clear & interesting way. Told us exactly what we needed to know for exams. Extra credit option offered. Great professor overall. Prof Clock is one of the best professor in BMCC. 4 TESTs, But if you got A in first 2 test, you dont need to take 3rd and 4th test, extra credit as optional parper. he give you very clear guidance for every test and paper. if you need to take a W/I, take him, you will never be regret. take himmmmmmmm.

So dedicated; answers questions and provides lots of feedback and direction. Also, he gives extra credit opportunities. Not hard to get an A. You need to do work every week and the midterm/final are tedious essays (6+ pages). Particular about how work is turned in and formatting but never in a way that makes it difficult for students.

At first Prof. Clock seemed a bit intimidating by being strict but that was his way of weeding out those students who really wanted to learn and those who weren't as serious. Clock is a great professor. Taking his POL-100 class online, He is a strict professor in a way where he wants his students to learn and walk away with knowledge at the end of the semester. Midterm is about 6+pages but easy. He makes you work. I love this about you Professor Clock. You are great! Semester is almost over! no :(. I learn a lot so far!

I enjoyed taking POL 101 with Prof, Clock. He is a relatively easy Professor but he is very strict on attendance, lateness, and handing in work on time. His classes are all lectures, and once in a while he will write on the board. For my class we did't really use the textbook which i was disappointed about and i wish we would have covered more.

Show up on time, study, do the assignments, kill the tests, and you are guaranteed an A. If you have an A average on the tests, you can skip the Final. Great Professor.

EXTREMELY clear grading criteria and what he expects from students, you've got to be a serious procrastinator or slacker to not get a full A. I was apprehensive in taking this class, since i was not a huge fan of politics. After the instruction from Prof. Clock and his easy demeanor and projected work load, not only was this class an easy A but his approach made me become more involve and like politics. What can I say that others have not? He is one of those FEW knowledgeable, intelligent, funny, caring, understanding professors, that you would barely find in your academic journey. He made me appreciate History and its value. Being that I came from another history class second guessing my abilities and dedication. You are on the right path :)

Be prepared to write. Prof. Clock dispenses with usual tests and quizzes. Your assignments and tests are to write essays based on the chapters read in the textbooks and supplementary materials provided. Blogs and discussion boards are also part of the grading. If you read the chapters and put in the work, the class is easy.

Ive had him for my History 125. Many student respect him because he never yells nor gets mad. Hes usually always happy most of the time. His test and papers are very easy and he explains it to you. His students respects him a lot as his lectures are amazing. Id take this class back again or another class he lectures. Id highly recommend.

Professor Clock is amazing. He wrote the me the nicest rec letter. He is a fair grader and he drops the lowest test grade! The papers are a little heavy and there is a 25 page journal you have to write for the Writing Intensive requirement, but it is managable if you pace yourself! If you aren't taking Prof. Clock for POL 100, what are you doing?!

Prof. Clock is amazing. I took his class online, he welcome you to the new weeks work, few days before course work is due is alert you. There is 5 question due every week; 1 for DB, 1 for Blog & 3 for critical thinking but this is done in your NB for yourself. There is 4 sets of paper assignment; 2 for weekly work, 1 for MT & 1 for finals Take HIM

Professor Clock's online class is the best. He keeps a very clean structure week by week. A weekly blog and discussion board post are mandatory. During the semester two papers (both three pages) have to be written. The midterm and final are writing assignments (6-9 pages). Extra credit s available, and deadlines are not negotiable.

Professor Clock is a true gem. Please take him for POL 100/HIS 101, you won't regret it! Drops the lowest test grade, so if you nail the first two tests, you don't have to take the final! The only real struggle was the book review, but it is manageable if you pace yourself and read accordingly. He wrote me a recommendation too, truly amazing guy.

Easiest online class Ive ever taken. He gives a very straight foward outline of the class .Just make sure you do your discussion board and seperate blog post every week and youll be good , also do atleast 2/3 supplementary exercises for extra credit. Even better you dont have to respond to others discussion board post !!! Amazing professor !!

He gives 2 tests, 2 essays, 1 presentation, and journal since it was writing intensive class. Multiple chances as an extra credit to boast your grade. He even makes proofread. Gives you guide line for each test.

Man listen! When I say this was the BEST class I could've taken this semester! He was very clear on his expectations. Not to mention, he gave extra credit and also let you know where you were as far as your grades and submissions were concerned! I wish this was my WI class. He is on point with everything!

Professor Clock was very lenient about his expectations from students, he reminds you about the deadlines over and over again - all he wants is for his students to do the work he asks on time. Took this class during Summer I by far the most straight forward class I have ever taken. I honestly don't see how anyone can get anything less than an A, Read the chapters make sure you do all your work and essays. Time management is key! Prof Clock is a real gem at BMCC. He is respectful and a very charming man. He's good at his craft and wants all of his students to learn. His class is a writing intensive course but he makes it extremely fair and easy. His journal project is super easy and if he's feeling nicer than he is, he'll change it from 20 pages to 16 pages. TAKE THIS PROF!

Prof. Clock is one of the best professors I ever had. You'll have to write two essays, a journal, and do an oral presentation. There are three tests, but the lower grade is drop. If you get an A in the first two tests, you can take the third for extra credit. He gives extra credit. He does not accept late work. The final is just if you need it.

H.W. is due every Sunday night, you complete your h.w and essays on time and you submit the required essays and you will guarantee to pass the class. No late submissions. This class is super easy to get an A. For an online class, you have a blog entry and discussion board weekly with about 5 essays which is understandable as it is a writing-intensive class. I believe everyone should take this class for writing-intensive.

Best professor ever! Discussion board questions, Supplementary exercises, and 6 essay exams which are 9 pages each are all easy. NO LATE WORK ACCEPTED AT ALL. Easy A only if you write well and do all of your work.

Professor Clock has a clear grading criteria and was very accessible. Do weekly Discussion Boards and submit a weekly Blog. Papers are simple and straight forward if you pay attention to weekly material. He gives daily reminders to submit your work.

This was the first asynchronous course I took and the class was relatively easy . We had to complete 8 essays , weekly discussions boards and weekly journals . The professor was very helpful and responded quickly to my emails .

This was the first asynchronous course I took and it was so easy. Everything is explained very well. I took his class for the Summer 2022 semester. You just have to read all the guidelines. You have to submit a weekly discussion board and blog entry. We had six essays in total. 3 for midterm and 3 for the final exam. They were pretty easy.

EZ A! He already has a layout, and just cares if you submit your work. He does not read assignments, match the number of words he asks and you will get the A. I cannot stress how easy his online class is. I would take him twice more. Don't take advantage of the due dates, he is strict with those. Did I mention it's an EASY A?!

Great and super interesting lectures, you can tell he's passionate about what he's talking about. Took him in fall 2022. The reading was interesting. Fair grader when it comes to the finals. Lots of ways to raise your grade. You just got to do the DB and get 85% on the midterm and final and you will get and A. Love this guy!

Excellent Professor, top notch. He is very formal, & a man of few words. But if you respond well to that type of teaching, follow all instructions and apply yourself, you will do well. I really enjoyed his course and the textbook from which we read. This was a writing intensive course. I hope to take more history with Professor Gil. *****(5 stars).

As long as you submit all of your assignments on time, you will get an A. He's a quick grader and communicates back quickly. His discussion board and blog questions were interesting and very opinionated so it gave me a chance to voice out my own thoughts and opinions. Loved his class!!

Tough grader. Doesn't give out 100% scores. 95-96% is as good as you'll get. If you do that well, expect zero feedback. If you don't, I imagine you can expect tough feedback that will feel critical in tone. Clock is very formal and requires you make every inquiry in proper letter-writing format. I liked him just fine but hoped for more feedback.

Prof. Clock is genuinely a nice person. He sends constant email reminders of deadlines and is very thorough in class. Midterm and Final is approximately 8-10 page paper, along with two other short essays. Overall, if you do DB's and Blogs you get full credit.

Prof. Clock's POL100 class is a great option - he's organized, communicative, and makes the material engaging. The workload is manageable as long as you stay on top of assignments. unstuckstudy was a useful study tool alongside the textbook. Overall, highly recommend this class!

I took this for a summer session and it went pretty well. I was a little confused at first but I was able to contact him and he clarified everything. He's very easy to reach. The book we use is provided as a PDF so you don't have to pay for it.

I took POL 100 over the summer with Prof Clock. There is a lot of reading material, but you do not have to pay for a textbook for the summer class. Be prepared to write a lot (minimum of 6 pages) for the midterm and for the final each. The only time you get an update on your grade is after the midterm and after the final. NO LATE WORK.

The course contains easy lift assignments and papers to write. Would highly recommend.
