You can't have an easier class. it is impossible to get lower than an A in this class. haggerty is a jolly old man that reminds you of santa clause. Very amusing, funny and easy. can't go wrong with this one. GREAT CHOICE!

Jolly 'ol bean. Cleverly titles this class "Art Appreciation" as opposed to Art History, and he does just that! The guy is great at what he does, and its easy to score an A. You cannot pick a better professor for this course, this guy is the BES

In this course you can get an easy A. you better do drawings because it will give you extra credits. His classes are not bad and you have to visit all of them.

class is boring but you don't have to attend. There is no work involved at all.I didn't do more than 3 sketches and still got an A. He gives the class an option to have a midterm or not and gives away the answers on his multiple choice test. EASY A!

BORING BUT A PRETTY EASY CLASS

Professor Haggerty is the nicest art professor there is and he makes the class easy to pass. He's very easygoing about coming to class on any day that he is teaching even if you're not in that section. You'll love this professor.

Interesting teacher for art history. He makes you really appreciate art and I really learned a lot in his class. His final is easy and if you sketch you get extra credit. DEFINATELY take him for this class.

I have to admit, I took this class only because I had to; I didn't love it BUT at least he made it tolerable. He got us a little worked up about the final exam, but in the end it wasn't so bad. I have no idea if I passed or failed the final, but I got a B+ for a grade. Turn in those sketchbooks!!!

If u get a chance, u should definitely take him...very easy going, gives out handouts that basically have the answers to the final exam-hand in ur sketchbook. if u do a decent job he gives u all the points. if u wanna score extra points try using some techniques from his class.

Great! Covers a lot in an easy manner, makes learning about famous artists fun and memorable. I was so afraid to take this course - to have to memorize slides etc... No problem - he wants all students to succeed, if you pay attention you will do great. I hope he teaches more art classes in future!

One of the best professors at Brooklyn College, really helpful, only one test the whole semester, and the optional sketchbook gets you as much as 30 points on that grade! so to get an A all you need on the final is a 60 and a good sketch book. and his final is all from the class notes he gives out!!!

This class is VERY easy - you dont have to show up to class, all you have to do is draw up to 24 pictures in the sketchbook (i did it in 2 days)to get btwn 15-30 extra pts, and study the 11 pages of notes (that HE gives out) for the final. Study those notes well enough and with the 15-30 extra points you should get an A!

Professor haggerty is an intellingent teacher he knows everything about art. It's a good class if you don't know anything and you are just getting started. He's grades technique are fare. You have to work hard on your sketch books and take the midterm.

He is a very nice guy, but virtually no one has spoken during the entire class... he seems to be used to lecturing, and not used to engaging students in conversation during class. He is very knowledgeable, makes the material interesting, and seems to be very good natured. Just hand in your sketchbook and study his handouts, and you should be set

Really great professor. He's super chilled, very clear and knowlegdeable. All he wants is for you to develop a sincere appreciation for art - and that's what I did. I found the class intriguing and I picked up drawing as a new hobby while in the class. Just study his handouts and spend time drawing, you'll get an A fa sho.

Take him and you will get an A. All you have to do is have a nice sketch book. You only have a final. Even if you manage a 70 on the Final you will get an A

This man knows his stuff. He is well informed, well prepared and figured out a system to make this a fantastic class. You are allowed to DRAW! and you get credit for it. What more do you want? BUT: Sit in the front, because the AC noise is very disturbing and you will be able to focus better on his lecture. Bring coffe, sit back and enjoy the ride!

He is great!All this guy does is talk about the material which he gives you in his 14 page review.He doesnt take attendence and even gives you a practice test which is VERY similiar to his final.You're allowed to draw for extra credit to your gade. He says he gives up to 30 pts but he gave me 48! Try to copy pictures from the musuem & use color.

Awesome professor..not good for a early morning since the whole class is with lights off while he talks through slides. Final + sketchbook for extra credit...very funny guy if you like seinfeld

Best Prof. in BC. i loved his class, didnt really have to show up to class, but when i did it was very enjoyable. he got me to really enjoy art, now i frequent places like the MET, and other art galleries around NYC and abroad. Gave me 25 points on my final to do a sketch book. there is only a final and it is strait from the notes he gives out .

One of the best professors at BC. No attendance, no papers, no homework. Just draw in your sketchbook and the final is easy if you study. The class is very interesting and I learned a lot. I also picked up drawing as a hobby. Very rewarding class. He gave me an A+.

Great professor! Loved his classes, enjoyed his lectures. He gives you a lot of helpful information before a final exam. Yet we didn't have a middterm exam. He wants you to draw a scetchbook and gives you some poits for it. It was an interesing expericence for me (coz i never drew before). Recommended :)

Excellent professor.Easy A. He wont take any quizes or any assignmnets. Only finals and the art book. I got A although I dint at all worked hard or studied for his class. Just read the review sheet he give you beafore final and you will surely get an A. And the good thing is he never take attendance.

he's the easieat professor i had since my presence in BC. He makes everyone buy a sketch book and you have to do like 8-10 drawings/paintings/or wutever you want 2 make. Dont be scared, you dont even have to know how to draw, but just make ur skech book look like you worked hard in it. says he'd give 1 midterm and final, but ONLY GIVES THE FINAL!!!

He is the best profesor for art. I looove his class and enjoy each drawing I made in my sketchbook. You don't have to be an artist. He appreciates what you draw. Its NOT true that your grade is based on the drawings. He have a lot of knowledge and likes what he does!!!

Haggerty is extremely smart & amicable. Available when I needed him. Final was tough, but we had 23 extra points to work with and up to 25 extra credit points with the sketch books. He gives you all the notes to boot and you can attend any of his 3 classes. Just don’t talk during class.

Excellent teacher. If you draw a lot and try to do it your best, you will get big bonus on your sketchbook! He tells he will give up to 25 credits, but sometimes he gave 40 and even more. And the exam was so easy!

he makes it practically impossible to fail or even get anything below an A for the class. he gives you the syllabus and it has all the notes required for the exam, no point in even showing up to class. He didnt give a mid-term and there are 150 possible points to earn towards your grade, so easy.

Haggerty is the BEST! You can't possibly fail this course and you'll actually learn something too while you're at it. No textbook, he just gives a print out every class and a packet. His review for the final is helpful especially cuz he gives a practice test (exactly like the real test so don't miss it!)Do yourself a favor and... TAKE IT!!

He is the easiest professor among all CC 1.2. No midterm, only final. sketchbook as extra credit with 10-20 art works. No textbook. Sunday/Saturday classes. Long and boring but easy. No attendance needed so u may only attend the first day and final exam. Remember memorize all 12 pages notes or u can't get A. Take him and u have no regret.

Dude I can't believe I passed his class? DO THE SKETCHBOOK, and memorize the note packet for the final exam, and thats all u need to do to get a great grade, don't waste ure time showing up except to pick up the notes at the begining of the semester and the practice exam at the end of the semester!

I LOVE THIS MAN .. i actually went to all of the lectures and i learned SO much. he's such a funny guy, and he presents his own artwork to the class, which are really delicate. he also shares random anecdotes about his life and how he mentored some of the greatest artists in the world back when he taught in cali. LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!

HE is the first core teacher that understands that there is no need to make a class super hard in order to get the students to take it seriously All you have to do is show up the first day and take the yellow packet very important everything you need to know is in there Do super good in your sketch book, that is all he really cares about!

I would highly recommend him! You don't have to do an essay, just draw/sketch. There isn't a minimum number of drawings required, just make sure you spend an amount of time drawing them. Make sure also that you get that yellow packet (study from it), and attend those 3 classes before the final.. You'll do fine, and perhaps get an A.

Very laid back class. I would recommend Haggerty. He knows his stuff and makes it easy to get a good grade and still get something out of the class.

True professor is great. exam is the hardest one I've had so far. Went to every lecture, went to museum, studied before the exam and did well on my scetch book. Got C+. exam is impossible to guess, you either know it or you don't.

It is true Haggerty is a wonderful man, extremely smart very relaxed and helpful, no papers, no midterm what more can one ask for. hate to upset your balance but the final is a killer especially if you decided to study last minute... this class is the lie that tells the truth..... take him.

He is not nearly as easy as anyone says. He doesnt care about attendance. but the final is VERY HARD. The questions all have 10 answers to each question. You can't really guess. The sketchbook is worth 25 points, but you gotta work real hard on it. He is a nice guy, but you gotta study for the final. It is as simple as that.

The lectures are bad - too long, too dark and too uninteresting. He knows his stuff, though. Class doesn't require much work, but the final is a killer! 60 question, each with 10 options. Thank goodness there is that sketch book that gives 25 points, since no other grading used the whole semester. Attendance is up to you, but recommended..

Very nice easy-going personality.There is a sketch book you have to work on, about 25 drawings (however quality counts, not quantity). I did 15 drawings and got 46 pts out of 25 towards final grade, considering the fact that I haven't been drawing since I was 12.Know the syllabus from the back of your head, it will be on final. NO need to buy book!

Party's over everyone. I just took the final and it is a toughie. If all you did was study the syllabus and handouts on the first day of class and never attended, the best you will do is a C. The sketchbook is what will save your ***. Force yourself to do a least a dozen QUALITY sketches and you will get a least a B. Best Art Professor on Campus!

very sweet professor, explains clearly and appreciates your hard work. Make sure u have at least 10 drawings and attend every class just not to miss important info. I bought the book for this class but now I regret as I have not even opened it once. Everything you need pretty much u can find online, so don't waste your money and just Google.

Sketchbook is everything, i only did 6 drawings from the slides, and 4 of my own and i got 38 out of the 25 points needed (Means extra), just attending to class and reading the handouts, you should easily get a B and above. Takes time and effort but it is a super fair class. Sketchbook is your everything and he gives easy extra credit a MUST Take.

This guy is really good. I can't draw, or at least I thought I didn't know how to. I managed to get a 32/25 on the sketchbook and I'm a physics dude! Even though attendance isn't mandatory, attend the classes. It'll help for the killer final. It was such a great experience just listening. Loved the course even though I ain't an art guy.

OMG! This professor is so easy! I took hom over the winter, and I don't regret. I am in ACCT major,so I thought that I would hate it. But after his class I realized that I liked it so much. I couldn't even think that I can draw so great. I got 50 points for a sketchbook(max.was 25). Do sketchbook! It will safe u on the final because it tough.

Amazing! I had such a great experience taking professor Haggerty's art history course! it was extremely interesting and enjoyable! If you attend class every day, study all the topics included in the 15 pages of yellow notes that he gives out and work hard on your sketchbook, you will get an A! i highly recommend this class to everyone

Found it easy although the final has more to do with the artists than the art. Spend time on your sketchbook, ask for tips on it, USE COLOR, and you'll get 50 points for that. The class was impossibly boring, BUT, it really helps to go to class. I would recommend it because it's easy, but be ready to be bored.

He's very passionate about art! he shows hundreds of slideshows so it gets pretty boring but at least he tries his best to make it interesting by throwing in some jokes here and there as he shows them. It's a very boring class but easy class. Not much work except memorizing some artists and vocabulary words.

If you do the sketchbook fairly well and study a fair amount for the final you shouldn't get less than a B. offers extra credit and doesen't take attendance. great experience in the class considering im not an art major this was the perfect way to get through art history with least stress possible.

He is a really nice teacher! His lectures are long but he throws in jokes to make it interesting. Make sure you do your sketchbook. He give you ample amount of points to try and get an A. Definitely recommend taking him.

Haggerty is an ok professor, but his lectures are long and not very interesting. He tries to throw in a few jokes to make it better, but it doesn't really work. he doesn't take attendance so you don't have to show up. He gives a packet of notes so you have most of the info and the sketchbook is a big part of the grade.

Professor Haggerty is a great guy who is extremely passionate and knowledgable about Art. There are only three aspects to your final grade. A few attendance writing prompts graded for effort, the sketchbook, and the final exam. If you do extra drawings in the sketchbook in color you will receive considerable extra credit. Easy A.

his class was easy but extremely boring. There were no papers or exams just a final which was really hard and everyone most likely fails so you're better doing all your drawings because he grades them on a big amount he says 25 points but you could earn 50 percent from that so make sure you have all sketches and atleast one colored one

Professor haggerty is a good professor His lectures are long and boring. Very repetitive but sketchbook is a big part of your grade. Make sure to fill it up and make colored drawings. His final is very tough but if you attend the last few classes before final it can make a big difference to your final and help you pass.

if you don't mind having one exam at the end of the semester take him. the final was hard but manageable. he makes you keep a sketch book that he grades on effort. he's really old so hard to understand but he's really nice and wants his students to do well
