Igyor knows little if anything about the equipment he's teaching to students. Better hope you have another method of learning when projects come around. He's tough to understand sometimes, which is ironic for a communications prof. avoid igyor like the plague for any other class too (tough grader)

Igyor can't teach. He doesn't ever tell you what he wants and then gets pissed off if people don't get it right. He forces his veiw on you. He's a dictator. Good luck asking for help you can't understand what he says. There's just a communication barrier. When you ask questions all he says is NO NO NO NO and makes you feel stupid.

alright, am I the only one who found it weird to take an intro to speech class from a man who I had a hard time understanding because of his accent?

i really hate this class more than anything. if you have any fear of public speaking whatsoever, for the love of god do not take this class! he makes you feel like an idiot. awful awful teacher, if you can even call him that. too much work for a 100 level class. avoid him. makes fun of you after a speech in front of the whole class. it's real sweet

You can barely understand him and he does not teach very well. The class was funny because we all just made fun of him the entire time, but most people failed and the amount of stuff I learned I could have taught myself in one day.

Let's put it this way, took class in 1994 and looked up this professor just to see how bad a professor he still is today. Half the class had dropped out of frustration when I decided to drop as well. Surprised he still has a job!

He is horrible. He completely contradicts himself constantly. Nothing is ever good enough for his standards. He embarrasses you in front of a huge amount of people. He gets nothing done. This semester he said we were supposed to get done 6 speeches but we are 5 weeks until the end of the semester and barely have the 2nd one done.

Professor requires students to walk in walking patterns during their speeches. directions are unclear. he makes everything up as he goes and grades don't follow any given rubric. he makes fun of everyones speech in front of the entire class. and he doesnt make any sense.

Igyor is the worst professor I have had at Millersville thus far. He has a very heavy accent and is hard to understand. He grades very harshly and will never admit to being wrong. He changes his mind quickly and without notice. I disliked him most because he constantly interrupts you. If you can, change to another professor ASAP.

Gerard is in a league of his own. There is NO way to understand what he will do next, so don't even try. He will change requirements for assignments without notice, so be sure to talk to him after class and write down EVERYTHING he wants. Ask a lot of questions. There are things he requires for assignments that he never talks about in class.

He was a very harsh grader. He'll pick out everything he doesn't like about your speech. He will pick topics he likes for you and completely change his requirements and instructions. Get your teacher switched ASAP!

He is seriously the worst prof. ever.. He interrupts in the middle of speeches and yells at you if you mess up one little thing on your outline... He never clearly tells you when things are due so your left guessing what's due......SWITCH PROF RIGHT AWAY!!!

I recommend not taking his class. He has weird office hours and makes you slide papers under the door to turn them in when he's not there which is just weird. He is rather hypocritical with assignments and is very very rude and brash.

Stay away. My most fond memory was a student gave a speech while standing on a broken leg. Igyor docked him points for "not showing enough movement." Pretty much sums up what kind of guy he is. if you take him you are crazy.

I would highly recommend taking another professor for a multitude of reasons, many of which are covered more than once in the previous comments. The repetitious comments are for the most part accurate.

Worst professor ever. So rude and unclear. He does not have an email. Additionally, he also did not come to class at all the first day and failed to email the class or put a note on the door. He does not answer your questions or organize the class well. I honestly have no idea how he is still a professor.

If you go to him the majority of the "conversation" is him saying "are you ready to listen?" Very disrespectful to students but expects upmost respect towards him.

Had 1 take home test. 200 Qs but all the answers were on google. He would tell us to go by the textbook but when we did that, he told us it was wrong and that he taught us the correct way in class, but he didn't. Likes to ramble on. Obsesses over speech outlines. 4 speeches: 2 individual, 2 group. Ended up learning a lot but would never take again.

Hes from Nigeria. He takes attendance at the beginning of every class. He stands in the front of class and lectures excessively but you cannot understand him. He just reads straight from the textbook . When he isnt there he gets a substitute and gives you a quiz on what the sub taught. If you have trouble understanding an accent you will struggle.

Told us we would 100% create our own test. We made our own test, and like 2 of our own questions were on the actual test. I studied for hours/knew the study guide like the BACK of my hand & I think I failed it. It's the only grade in the book since the beginning of the semester ( 2 months ago) Plus I cant understand him at all so I cant take notes

Then you will soon learn that he is a major awful and doesn't actually care about anyone's thoughts, opinions, or feelings other than his own. If you get him, i am telling you, you NEED to switch class's. If you can't pray that you make it through.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. His speech class was old fashioned and thus pretty useless. He unsympathetically verbally critiques students after every speech, and gave me a B in the class after assuring me I would get an A. He confused me. Avoid him if you can!

Reads right from text book, so you really don't need to waste money buying it. Laughs at students when they make mistakes during a speech. Difficult to understand accent at times. Doesn't always return work, and doesn't use D2L, so you won't know your grade. Only 4 speeches ( 2 individual /2 group) and 1 take home 200 question midterm.

I had Professor Igyor for Speech. He was very tough, had no patience, and was bias towards your speech topic. If you did not do your speech EXACTLY how he wanted you to do it, you did not pass. He always went back on his words and was stubborn to talk with. He is all around difficult. DO NOT take his class.

Can't understand what he's saying, writes nothing on the board, gets off topic very often, makes fun of students, has a bad sense of humor, just an awful teacher. Do not take. Even if you show up 2 minutes late you are marked absent, and every absence is minus a point. Tests will be well over 100 questions.

Igyor is my speech teacher, and he makes fun of students, doesn't grade the papers you turn in, is very mean, and goes back on his word. If he see's one thing that's wrong he'll draw a big X over the whole paper without taking a look at the actual information. He is also very unclear of his expectations which can be frustrating.

All he does is say what isn't good with absolutely no indication why, much less how to fix it, and he is nearly impossible to reason with. Class was insanely boring and Igyor just reads directly from the book. He goes out of his way to pick on shy students. Once the class clapped after someone's presentation and he told us not to clap because it was so bad. Tests are all online and answers are online too. Could've taught myself the class. Overall: Easy A but good luck staying awake!

This was by far the worst professor Ive had. Refuses to compromise or explain why you got a certain grade, misleading with how he wants you to perform a speech, and if you mess up on one small thing in your speech you fail. Hell humiliate you. Beware who your partners are because there is no changing your group speech grade after its graded.

Be aware of 200 Test

Does not teach a single thing about how to give speeches. For every speech there is an outline, and if it is not done correctly he does teach you how to fix it, just fix says to fix it. Also, if he does not agree with you, you are "wrong." Very stubborn and egotistical. Acts like he knows everything.

He brings down your self esteem whenever you present, basically roasting you in front of the class and doesn't like when you try to speak up for yourself against him.

Dr. Igyor has no respect for his students when it comes to personal opinions. Honestly disgusted the university has done nothing about his actions. He puts his viewpoints first, making subjects way too political. He does not prepare you well for the course as his teaching consists of him talking at the class and nothing else. Avoid at all costs.

Very perceptive of ANY mistake made when giving a speech. I don' think he does it maliciously, but he definitely WILL roast you if you don't think of everything. Super tough grader and if thick accents aren't your thing then I suggest avoiding this guy.

Most absolutely the worst professor I have ever had. I had him for Fundamentals of Speech. He is constantly switching up and he is never wrong. Tells the class the speech only has to be three minutes, then the day of the speech tell you it has to be 6. Egotistical and won't care enough about any of his students. He will fail you just because.

He can be conflicting with feedback on a speech. Any feedback he does give is REALLY hard to read. No tests but the take home final was 200 questions. He did have a clear grading criteria but it was hard to match your speeches with it as well as the feedback. Lots of papers too. Overall not a good professor. Would not take a class with him again.

Tough to please and is very forgetful try to participate and stay quiet in his class and he might bump you up. I would honestly drop him if you can, especially if you want to take it chill.

As a international student from China, I really hate his class. This is my first class in Millersville and I felt so disappointed in that semester. I hope to learn some English speech skills from him. However, I learned nothing but just writing the outline again and again. He is a dishonest man and he doesn't know how to respect students.

He never lets you finish your sentence when you are asking him a question and harshly grades you in front of the whole class without making sense. He reads from the textbook word for word, and you learn nothing in his class.
